When a new game edition set comes out, how do you normally hand the changes to the roster? Do you stick to the booklet or do you do your own thing? What did you do for the last 2130 set after it came out?
I pretty much stayed to the 2130 set booklet changes to the wrestling roster, only change I made was to have Ministry of War goes his own way and joined with the Drednoks. I was thinking about maybe doing something different this year and wanted everyones thoughts.

Although my fed is only in its second year (2120), I am totally doing my own thing... In fact, I created my own storyline in order to allow for aCe wrestlers to be integrated into my GWF...
That being said, I might stay more true to the handbooks once I get to the Black Death era... I'm sure I won't adhere to every detail, but it will be alot closer than what I'm doing now...

Its really tough to say to be honest and I think it deals more with where your at in your fed when you pick the new set up. Sometimes the stuff in the book fits right into where your going without you knowing it and then sometimes it doesn't but that is the great thing about this game is that you have that two way or fork in the road so to speak. It's what this game was built on and why it has gone on for so many years. When I play the old sets with the kids I start them out with the book and then let them go from there to see where things go.

I usually wean the new guys in over time, some times over several events. the book gives ideas but sometimes the angles I have won't fit.

When it comes to bringing in the new talent, I plan on adding them to the roster at the start of the each new year... I like viewing each year as a season... There is a brief period of time between my final supershow of the year and the first supershow of the next... During this 'off-season' is when contract negotiations and new acquisitions take place... I have introduced new characters in the middle of a season before, but I think it will be a rarity... It's more to help me keep things organized in my own head than for any other reason...

I run 4 feds right now. They are just big melting pots of EVERYONE. GWF, LOW, RoH, my own created ones, cards I have recycled and a few cards from other sets I got free when the great staff at FG throws one or two in. So when a new set comes out, I read it and go from there. Some ideas I might fold into my on going stories so I will add the guys like that. Usually I just look at the cards and decide how I see them fitting in the best. I feel I get the best of both worlds. I read the great stuff Tom comes up with, like a comic book series or just a book series. Then I get to go create my own world.

Deimos Perennial's Annual Tournament...one each Singles, Tag Teams, and Women's. Winners become #1 contenders for championships.
This way I get to use all of the cards on the first event...and the random matchups typically build my story lines for the year along side the "official" story lines.

Rookie Brawl. Each new wrestler or updated card gets a match just to test the waters and make an impression. Even if a heavy hitter debuts who's in a feud against the champ, they need to work their way up from the bottom.

I took a break with my Early Classics fed and started my 2119 fed. Almost at the end of the year and I am ready to bring the Gatekeeper in to start his feud with Valour.
What I did with my other fed was the same thing, I would start a couple of guys out before they were supposed to be introduced, like on dark matches. I like breaking them in over the course of time not just all at once.
