After going to Galactical (where I managed to win the Galactical Cup for the second time,) me and Cman went to BOLA Night 2 where once again my friends Ryan and Mary saved us some great second row seats (the same second row seats from the previous night.)
I was very fortunate to make another signing to the game tonight- so 5 signings so far this weekend at BOLA- and it was somebody who I've really wanted to get in the game for awhile even though this weekend was the first time I ever got to see him wrestle live.
If you want them in advance of the BOLA DVDs getting released, tonight's match results are listed below:
Party Marty Scurll defeated Rich Swann in a first round match. Great opening match.
Jack Evans defeated Angelico in a first round match. This match was comedy based and paid tribute to the movie The Karate Kid (filmed in Reseda, Boogie Nights was another movie also filmed partly in Reseda.)
Chris Hero defeated Timothy Thatcher in a first round match. Very good match. Hero had told me on Friday night he might be debuting a new team uniform based gear and it turned out to be Duke. (I'm from UNLV so I was sort of thinking why did it have to be Duke- UNLV's historical #1 enemy?) But the Duke gear, as all of Hero's basketball styled gear, is admittedly extremely well made and Hero absolutely remains one of my favorite wrestlers.
Fenix and Aero Star defeated Drago and Pentagon Jr. This was my favorite match of the night. Afterward the fans showed their appreciation by throwing cash into the ring.
After Intermission, where I got to talk to my friend Andy who few in from Canada, Tommy End defeated Drew Gulak in a first round match. Tommy End is really popular with the Reseda crowd where for the past two nights they have been chanting "Tommy, Tommy, Tommy F*cking End," "Tommy, Tommy, Tommy F*cking End."
"Speedball" Mike Bailey defeated Drew Galloway in a first round match. This match marked Galloway's PWG debut and it was awesome. The match ended when Galloway was going for his DOUBLE ARM DDT but Bailey countered and rolled up Galloway for the pinfall to advance to the next round.
Zack Sabre Jr. defeated Ricochet (last year's BOLA winner) in a first round match. This was probably the match of the night IMO.
In the main event, Mount Rushmore 2.0 (Super Dragon and PWG World Tag Team Champions Young Bucks) defeated Biff Busick, Trevor Lee, and Andrew Everett in a 6 person tag team guerrilla warfare match. This was the first ever 6 way tag (although of course no tags actually occurred) guerrilla warfare match. Before the match even started, my friend Mary grabbed my seat and threw it under the ring as other fans in the area were also doing because we sat near the ring entrance where we knew extra space was going to be needed for a guerrilla warfare match. Like all recent guerrilla warfare matches, this one went all throughout the Legion hall and nbody was sitting down. Just chaotic (but in a great way) as this match included chars, tables, ladders, and thumbtacked spiked shoes the Young Bucks brought out for superkicks. After Mount Rushmore 2.0 won, Excalibur entered the ring and said he is putting a team (Candice Lerae was referenced) together to take on Mount Rushmore 2.0 tomorrow night as Excalibur seeks to end Mount Rushmore 2.0. Mount Rushmore 2.0 then attacked Excalibur and then later Chris Hero after Hero (from the commentary table) made the save for Excalibur.
Afterward, me and Cman went to 7-11 to buy beer and then we went to Denny's to eat and I bought Cman's meal because it was his birthday.
Can't wait for Night 3 of BOLA tomorrow night!
