Longtime horror writer and director Wes Craven passed away earlier today after a battle with brain cancer.
RIP Wes, no one will ever do your characters justice.

Wes Craven directed some of my favorite horror movies including A Nightmare on Elm Street, Scream, Scream 2, and the original The Hills Have Eyes. I also liked some of his recent movies too such as Red Eye and Scream 4. RIP
just a quick side note, last year during Memorial Day weekend for a 3 day trip to California that included going to PWG and CWFH shows, I spent a day in the Hollywood area and saw the house from A Nightmare on Elm Street- it is actually on the exact same block as the house from Halloween.

RIP Wes. Nightmare on Elm Street is still probably my favorite horror movie.

You know. I kinda noticed that when watching both movies. The neighborhood looked about the same. But I'm glad you said it. My friends never believed me. And now they can read this thread. Wes Craven was definitely one of my favorites and it a sad thing that he's no longer around.
