In August of the year 2015, Lee Longpre bought a lottery ticket one day just for the fun of it. He didn't gamble a lot, he just occasionally went to Bingo. As he sat in his room, he opened up a browser and checked to see if there was someone who won the 50 million grand prize. It showed that there was one winner but it didn't say where the winner was. He checked his ticket and his heart sunk. His eyes grew wide. "Did I really win?" Lee asked himself out loud. He was now 50 million dollars richer.
Everyone who knew him, knew what he was going to do with the money. He was going to open his own wrestling promotion. He talked to some of his friends that were in the business about what he should do. Lee decided that he was going to open "Mayhem Wrestling", a wrestling promotion that would run every month, at least at first. The promotion would run in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
He decided that for his first show he would have a Mayhem Wrestling Heavyweight Championship Tournament. Over the coming weeks, he announced the four first round matches.
They were:

Rowdy Roddy Piper music hits and the crowd goes crazy. He makes his way slowly to the ring, shaking hands with all the ringside fans. He enters the ring and immediately grabs the microphone from the ring announcer, The Voice. The fans are giving him a standing ovation. He waits for them to settle down and then begins to speak.
Rowdy Roddy Piper: Are you guys ready for some Mayhem!? I have been appointed Mayhem Wrestling Commissioner by Mayhem Wrestling owner Lee Longpre. Tonight is our first show and we are going to crown the first ever Mayhem Wrestling Heavyweight champion. Let's get the show on the road, let's get started with our first match!

The Mayhem Wrestling logo flashes on the screen. The scene then goes to Bryce Remsburg, the senior Mayhem Wrestling referee wearing a black suit. He looks at the camera and speaks as he stands in front of a Mayhem Wrestling logo backdrop.
Bryce Remsburg: Welcome everyone to episode one of Mayhem Wrestling Underground. What is Mayhem Wrestling Underground? It is a show where we will see exclusive interviews and matches . Mayhem Wrestling Underground is here to hype the next show at the Knights of Columbus hall in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada for the Mayhem 2 show. Right now, we are going to go to a special news conference with acting commissioner Rowdy Roddy Piper!
[The Mayhem Wrestling logo flashes on the screen and then the show cuts to Rowdy Roddy Piper standing at a podium. There are news cameras there and at least a dozen microphones set up to record what he has to say at the podium. He smiles and then begins to speak.]
Rowdy Roddy Piper: Welcome everyone to this special news conference. I am, if you don't already know, is Rowdy Roddy Piper. As acting commissioner of Mayhem Wrestling, I must tell you that at Mayhem 2 at the Knights of Columbus on October 31st, Halloween night, we must crown a number one contender for the Mayhem Wrestling Heavyweight championship. So this is what will happen. There will five qualifying matches. All the winners will then enter a guantlet, where order of participation will be chosen at random, to crown a number one contender to El Generico's Mayhem Wrestling Heavyweight championship. The matches for Mayhem 2 will be: (1) A R Fox -versus Claudio Castagnoli, (2) – Trent? -versus- Kevin Steen, (3) Sami Callihan -versus- Adam Cole, (4) Ricochet -versus- Matt Tremont and (5) Johnny Gargano -versus- Homicide plus the guantlet match. Plus in other action, we will see "Sweet -n- Sour" Larry Sweeney take on Worker Ant and BLK Jeez taking on Dasher Hatfield. Thank you all!

Bryce Remsburg: Welcome to the Underground. We've got a big show tonight so let's get started. For those of you who don't know, we have a new number one contender. His name is Trent Baretta. He will be facing El Generico for the Mayhem Wrestling Heavyweight championship at Mayhem 3. Trent Baretta had some words for El Generico.
Trent Baretta: El Generico, your time as Mayhem Wrestling champion is almost done. At Mayhem 3 on November 28th in Ottawa, I will become the new Mayhem Wrestling Heavyweight champion. There is nobody who is going to be able to stop me.

Bryce Remsburg: Big words from the number one contender – Trent Baretta. We also can announce that in the semi main event at Mayhem 3 we will see Matt Tremont take on Ricochet in a No Disqualifcation, No Count Out Grudge Match. Last time they were in the ring, a wild brawl erupted and Ricochet ended up disqualified. Tonight they settle the score once and for all. Let's go to Matt Tremont who had a few words for Ricochet.
Matt Tremont: Ricochet at Mayhem 3, you have no chance against me. This is my kind of match, where there are no rules. You are going to be destroyed!

Bryce Remsburg: Also on the card will be a Tag Team Championship Guantlet match between The Young Bucks, The Briscoes, Incoherence and Brian Kendrick and Paul London. We will be crowning Mayhem Wrestling Tag Team champions and one of those teams will walk out with the championships.
