Hello all:
Last Year, everyone was running tournaments and I did one as well with a twist. It was a Hardcore tournament(similar to what I do at Galacticon) but with two exceptions:1. It was to be a tag team tournament and 2.It was to be doen with Rookies, meaning Characters who may be sitting on your harddrive or notebook or whatever, but have never seen action. I got some good responses for it, so I would like to try running it again. So, with that in mind I would like to open it up to promoters lke I did last year. I would like to see 8 people sign up but if I get more, that will work as well.
here are the rules for the teams:
1.the team must be rookies-Chatacters who have not bene carded and never made official debuts (or dark matches) in your feds.
2. To qualify as Hardcore, BOTH competitors on the team must meet at least ONE of the following criteria-Cage rating of 2 or less, a DQ finisher, TWO out of the ring(s),DQ rating of 6 or higher.
I would like to run this tournamnet inside of a month, meaning around the 20th or so of thanksgiving, but if I get 8 teams before then, I'll run it as soon as I get 8.
The winning team I will get drawn up and carded as a reward.(jim Steel won last year and he can tell you I am on the level with this!). You can also make a team for the tournament, but again, it needs to follow the above mentioned hardcore criteria. You can post your team here or send your team to me and I'll post the team name along with their sponsor.
