Who plans on watching? Next to the Sandman books (by Neil Gaiman), these are my favorite graphic novels of all-time... After watching the trailer, I am totally amped up for this show... Hopefully, the fundamental story stays true to the comics...
Saint of Killers... Holy snap! How cool will he be on the screen?

Yes, Preacher is an all time classic. I'm just afraid that it won't translate right to television, no matter how much freedom they have for violence etc. Garth Ennis has a one-of-a-kind voice and the serious, yet over the top nature of the story would be difficult to duplicate and may not resonate with the average TV audience, let alone the sacrilegious overtones that MUST be included. I'll have my fingers crossed.
Speaking of which, how about Lucifer. I can't see Fox getting this right. Much like Constantine on NBC. The framework might be there but it may lack the nuances that make it true to the original.

Can't see that working out at all...

You know who would do a good job with Preacher? Trey Parker and Matt Stone. South Park is the closest thing to Preacher that has ever been on American TV. On the surface it's fart jokes but for those who get it, it's brilliant social commentary. And, that's what Preacher should be. Irreverent but with a lot of depth.
