And now, the GWF and the United Federation of Stars and Planets present...
CULTURE CLASH
Live from the Intergalactic Culture Festival
Location: Filsinger's Jamestown Athletic Complex on Earth
Arena Capacity: 38, 976
Panther Warrior is already in the ring, waiting for his Cruiserweight title opponent, Tristan, when the Aethran Overmaster shows up to make an announcement:
"I regret to inform you, Panther Warrior, that your scheduled Cruiserweight title defense against Tristan has been changed. It has come to my attention that Tristan was assaulted just a short while ago, and will not make his planned appearance here. However, I have found a suitable replacement opponent for you: RUSH!"
GWF Cruiserweight Championship
VS.
Panther Warrior (c) vs. Rush
The Match: Despite not being the scheduled contest, this match was a show-stealer all the same. After a game of back-and-forth with the flow of the contest, Rush ultimately took control for quite a bit, even hitting the ADRENALINE RUSH, with Panther Warrior just barely kicking out at 2.9. Panther Warrior was able to swing momentum his way, and hit some huge moves, but Rush took advantage of a deathjump opportunity taken by his opponent, and rushes to meet him to the top, and slams the AniMan to the mat with a spinning top rope powerbomb. Rush had the match in hand after hitting both of his finishers in rapid succession, then sending him into the turnbuckle, and nailing a big boot. After wearing Panther Warrior down with a near-fall after an Aethran Arrow, a final ADRENALINE RUSH gave Rush the match and the title.
Result: Rush defeats Panther Warrior with ADRENALINE RUSH
Completed Moves: 29 out of 37 moves
Here is your winner, and the NEW GWF Cruiserweight Champion, Rush!
VS.
Coven Black (w/Phantasy) vs. Zygon
The Match: Coven Black came out with Phantasy still under his control, and took the fight immediately to the native of Kroll, and had the match well in hand, despite Zygon winning a wild brawl outside the ring, then nailing the vampire with 3 elbows off the turnbuckle. Coven Black only went for one pinfall all contest, and it was early on after a piledriver. That would prove to be his undoing, despite thwarting a deathjump by Zygon by spitting a blood red mist into his eyes. Zygon would take control at a crucial moment, and despite his blinding, powered up the TRI-CLAW with a Zygon Optic Blast, which was enough to get the win.
Result: Zygon def. Coven Black with the TRI-CLAW (+1)
Completed Moves: 32 out of 37 moves
While still fighting the blindness caused by Coven Black, Nosfera emerges from under the ring, and hits Zygon with THE DEMON'S BREATH. Thraxx rushes in to help his partner, and while Nosfera distracts him, Coven Black nails Thraxx in the head with a chair, busting him open.
After the ring is cleared out after the previous assault, the Dark Menace comes out with the new GWF Tag Team Champions, the Ultimate Fighters, to address their huge victory over the Gladiators.
"When Shoot and I first arrived here in the GWF, we were promised big things coming our way, and our business partner here was right and then some."
"There were some people in the back that say we'd never make it here, and some of you even said that the Dark Menace Forces is where talent goes to die. Well, with gold over our shoulders, and a huge against one of the toughest tag teams on their home turf, we have to ask: Who's laughing now?!"
Clinch and Shoot laugh as they hold up their Tag Team Championships.
"In all seriousness, if there's any tag team tough enough to stand up to the Ultimate Fighters on THEIR home turf, I'm personally issuing the challenge at War Games, in something we'd like to call an Ultimate Fight Match."
Turmoil and the new Cruiserweight Champion Rush step out from behind the curtain.
"Menace! We're not done with you, yet! You humiliated us on our home turf, and we'll gladly humiliate your team on theirs! We accept your challenge for War Games!"
VS.
Deadliest vs. Strafe
The Match: After losing a big opportunity at Infinity Complex, Deadliest looked to prove that she could still get to the top of the ladder in the Women's division by taking out the former champion. It seemed to be the case for a while, as Deadliest was able to overpower the Aethran female. However, a wild brawl outside the ring put a halt to Deadliest's momentum, as Strafe was able to DDT her on the ring apron while standing beside it. One TERMINAL HEIGHT later, and Deadliest showed everyone that she was still in the running for a Women's title rematch.
Result: Strafe defeats Deadliest with TERMINAL HEIGHT
Completed Moves: 18 out of 23 moves
GWF Holovision Championship
VS.
Paganax (c) vs. Anivar
The Match: As this was a Supercard, albeit a surprise one, Paganax lost the Holovision Advantage, as the match had no time limit. The match was short, but extremely back and forth up until the end, where Paganax hit the PAGAN VOID, and surely had the match one on his own, but Sleeper Cell's involvement made things a litte different. After getting hit in the back of the head with a baseball bat, the referee called for the bell.
Result: Paganax defeats Anivar via Disqualification after Sleeper Cell gets involved
Completed Moves: 4 out of 9 moves
Paganax retains the GWF Holovision Championship
After the match, other Sleeper Cell agents came in, and held Paganax against a corner, while Anivar took the Holovision title, and yelled that his time as champion is numbered. Unfortunately for him, Paganax overpowered the Sleeper Cell, and Paganax hits a PAGAN VOID on one of male members, with Anivar getting out of dodge before Paganax could do anything to him.
Backstage, Vidtek addresses the crowd with a huge announcement
"Ladies and gentlemen, there have been many people wondering about a certain 3rd generation GWF competitor. Well, the good news for you is that I've been able to snag the first interview with Bloodline to find out just what the heck is going on. So at our next Holovision show, I will be featuring the return of The Video Lounge, where Bloodline will announce just what's been going on with him lately."
VS.
Legends of the Ring (Hector and Payback) vs. Martial Law (Encubus and Symbiosis)
The Match: It was clear that Encubus wanted no part in this match, let alone with Payback, so he had Symbiosis start the match with the Hardcore Titan. Only when Encubus felt that Symbiosis had Payback where he wanted him would he let himself get tagged in, but just as soon as the tag was made, Payback took it to the son of Thantos. Encubus would then block a double axe handle, and force Payback to hot tag Hector, which was completely ineffective. Encubus unleashed some big moves on the Holy Brown Bear, even two straight GAMESMASTER DDTs, which Hector could barely kick out of. After SECOND COMING, Payback tried to get involved, but Symbiosis blocked any attempts, though this was not necessary as Hector was able to recover anyway. The fight would then break out to the outside of the ring, where Hector launches Encubus with a slingshot, and Payback follows up with a running apron dropkick on both members of Martial Law after Symbiosis catches Encubus after the slingshot. Encubus is able to stop a critical deathjump attempt by Payback, and hit a superplex, then tags in Symbiosis for the EVENT HORIZON, which Payback recovers from. A huge brawl erupts between all four team members, and the referee disqualifies Payback after hitting a Van Titanator with a chair, and it takes the GWF Security Squad to break up the massive brawl.
Result: Symbiosis defeats Payback via Disqualification in a wild brawl outside the ring
Completed Moves: 23 out of 30 moves
VS.
Retribution vs. Tanck
The Match: Despite some attempts at offense, Tanck kept control the entire match, even early on when Retribution tried to turn the tide, Tanck quickly brought it back. After that, Tanck controlled the whole match, hitting big massive slamming maneuvers throughout the whole match, including a huge leaping spinebuster after Retribution bounced off the ropes, which resulted in Retribution leaving the ring, but after a brawl, Tanck hit a powerslam on Retribution on top of the barricade. Retribution was able to kick out of TANCKED twice, the second time at the count of 4, since Tanck screamed at the referee for a 5-count. Tanck locked in the Iron Man Vise for the submission victory, to the shock of everyone in attendance.
Result: Tanck defeats Retribution with the Iron Man Vise
Completed Moves: 16 out of 19 moves
Interview: GWF Interplanetary Champion Sly Drury
Question: There has been a lot of controversy surrounding your reign as Interplanetary Champion. What do you have planned to address them?
"I've learned to realize that being an authority figure, you can't please everybody. I've only done what is absolutely necessary to ensure stability within the GWF. Some people question my use of the Iron Hand suit for my Fight the Power Match against Havoc, including the GWF Board of Directors. In my defense, Havoc and the Dark Menace thought they could challenge my authority, and I was just enacting the punishment from a couple years ago when Iron Hand was Commissioner. The GWF Board wish for me to give Havoc one more opportunity at the title. However, if you can recall, I lost in the King of the Cosmos MegaTournament to Ensor, making him a top contender to my Interplanetary Championship. So this is my plan: At our next Holovision show, there will be a match between Ensor and Havoc to determine a new #1 Contender for War Games...provided that they waive the right to chose the Specialty Match."
MAIN EVENT
VS.
Endgame vs. Paralyze
The Match: A criminally short and rather disappointing main event where Paralyze reversed a running knee lift, and hit a few huge moves, including HEART TRANSPLANT. Endgame would escape to the outside of the ring, where the two would brawl, and Paralyze nailed Endgame with the Rylock Rod, getting himself disqualified, but that did not matter to the huge Aethran, as he kept the asault going after the bell.
Result: Endgame defeats Paralyze via Disqualification after a wild brawl outside the ring
Completed Moves: 4 out of 5 moves
After a beatdown with the Rylock Rod, Endgame gets thrown back into the ring, and Paralyze leaves, as explosive pyro on the stage signals the arrival of Paganax, who nails the PAGAN VOID on Endgame. The show ends with Paganax standing in the middle of the ring, placing his foot on Endgame's chest, and holding up the Holovision Championship.
Author's Note: In case anyone's confused with the character name coloring, since I originally go by alignment/faction. I ultimately decided to go with a red corner/blue corner color set for both my feds, and treat the dice colors as the ring corners, unless it's a multi-man match, then colors won't be used. With that said...
