Potential New player here.. Cards and Dice or Online?

I guess I am bi on this subject I go both ways.During my break time from teaching and from 10:00 to 11:00 i play cards. During the school year and after I get caught up on work, I play online.

Having said all this, I was at first going to get the physical, updated 2087 intro set with the colored cards because I like how the artwork pops with color, plus I thought having the physical product with the dice would be more fun and engaging.

Problem is, while I don't mind skipping releases, not following canon, etc, if I was to get a the colored set, I'd want all sets in color.. Seems only way I can do with COTG is online.

Not to mention the physical product is more expansive than online and I don't exactly have funds flowing in right now (And I doubt the store accepts prepaid vanilla visa cards as payment so that's another hurdle to jump. The least of my issues though tbh)

Having played online with the demos, just using the game table, I'm still trying to understand all the rules and when an opponoent rolls... Something like wrestler x rolls: 6 out of the the ring (c) confuses me about who rolls next lol..

The layout online seems confusing too but maybe its only cause I have the demo cards.

The main draw to online for me is cheaper and all color cards.

The main draw of the physical model is being able to more engaged in the process possibly, having all the the things I need on hand, being able to take the game anywhere...

I can't decide....

As for the prepaid Vanilla Visa... I am about 90% sure I have used those to place my orders in the past so I'm pretty confident that they accept them.

That would be great if they do, it would just be a minor convience.. I've used those prepaid visa cards in the past.. some sites do some don't It won't be a little while til I get ready to buy a set so I have time.

I have never played the online version, but love the cards and dice way.

But I'm an old school Dungeons and Dragons / Superstar Wrestling Game player, so the cards and dice version is totally me. But the online version does sound like it has it's advantages.

I started with the Legends of Wrestling Starter set (which rules) and then went to the Champions of the Galaxy (2087) Starter Set (which also rules).

I found that The Legends starter set is the best in that line and with the cotg 2087 set, that really was the start and big bang of that entire continuing
universe.

Bottom line is to have fun. This is the greatest wrestling there ever was.

(Was also able to use prepaid gift credit cards for purchases).

Quick playing question, if I roll and it says out of the ring that means the opponent rolls on the out of ring chart correct?

correct. The guy on defense rolls all charts except choice (A-H)

Thank you. I've figured most of the mechanics out, just few things like that confuse me.....What about the interference charts, suicide dive charts etc....Do you just select those randomly or do people have a method?

up to you though I tend to limit suicide dives to once or twice a match.

I was playing a match with Van dam and Snuka and Snuka was outside the ring so I rolled van dam on the dive chart just to see what would happen..

Maybe there's a correct way to do it but that made the most sense to me cause the guy on defense isn't the one doing the dive.

suicide dive is the offensive wrestler....I haven't used it in a while so I tend to forget.
