So, for some time, I've been playing with different charts of my own devising in order to interject some of the real-life challenges that are faced by companies when booking their shows... Involving things like actual injuries (not the result of a work), backstage politics, contract disputes and unprofessional conduct...
I'm currently trying to put some polish on my current chart to make it something that I can use consistently...
My question... Does anyone else use something of this nature? I'm not talking about booking charts like those found on the David Marquez commissioner chart... But, something that would fall OUTSIDE the realm of a booker's control...
Any replies (opinions and/or thoughts) will be greatly appreciated... Many thanks!

When I rebooted my Legends fed, I thought of something similar. The only thing I did though was at the end of a game year I would go through my roster and give a percent chance they had of staying or going. Based on an arbitrary set of circumstances such as how well they did, place on the card, Championships. Nothing I wrote down that was concrete but just a number I came up with in my head. For instance, The Road Warriors were atrocious in that fed, they lost every match. So I think I gave them a 10% chance of sticking around. Then rolled two D10's for the percentile. Then when I brought new people in, I did the same thing. This gave me some randomness to it so that I wouldn't just go with my faves or whatever.

I'd like to try something similar once OutBreak/Nexus winds up its current game year... Once the rosters are a set in stone... Thanks for responding!

Like the idea of this. Could incorporate some 'backstage politics' perhaps some social media faux pas, non ring based injuries/illness, problems with other wrestlers, offers to make movies, general apathy and falling 'out of love' with the mat game, a need to take a sabbatical due to fatigue...that kind of thing!!

Yes! Exactly the kind of things I'm talking about... Might also incorporate surprise appearances by wrestlers not on the current roster... One of the most difficult aspects is deciding WHEN to roll on the chart...

I think the when would be when you feel like things are a little stale in the fed...

in my OCW fed years ago I did a chart where the announcer would make a comment on a match and roll to see if someone took offense. just me and my 1d100 the Hardcore title got a 24/7 spot for a week because teh announcer said something and a wrestler took offense went won the belt and said he could defend it against anyone anywhere. one fall ended in the women's locker room when six of the women attacked him and won the belt. 6 co-champions made it weird.

I don't use such a chart, but I think I could design one.

If ANYONE would like to contribute ideas, PLEASE do so...
Here is one example of a result I would include:
The main event for this show has to be altered on the fly due to transportation issues involving one of the competitors. Choose someone to act as a replacement for one of the main event's participants. If the main event was to be a title match, there are a few options... Make the champion compete in a non-title bout. If you wish for the champion to be the no-show, maybe force the number one contender to defend his next title shot. IT'S UP TO YOU PROMOTER! Use your imagination!
