don't know enough about MMA to make a real comment about either style, but it sems to be the best fighter can incorporate both Striking and Grappling to make a very well rounded Offense.

Bingo, Being able to fight in all situations is key. Long gone are the days where the "karate guy" and the "jiu jitsu guy" fight. Cross training is essential. Ken Shamrock was one of the first to cross train, and why he was successful in MMA's initial stages. The typical "striker vs grappler" debate is an interesting one. A good striker can hold off aggressive grappler, but if the grappler can eat a few strikes and get the striker to the ground, the striker loses all of the leverage and power to effective use his best offensive weapon. But, the grappler has to get inside first....
