don't know enough about MMA to make a real comment about either style, but it sems to be the best fighter can incorporate both Striking and Grappling to make a very well rounded Offense. WRONG WRONG WRONG All you need is 3 things 1) Big Beard 2) Hit Hard 3) Cool Name I have none of these  But I'm drinking milk and one day..... |

The sounds of a heavy bag being hit can be heard as the shot comes into focus. The camera is on a wall of a dojang with a Korean flag on one side and the Titan flag on the other. As the camera scans around toward the sound and then rest on a shirtless man with long blond hair wet with sweat and wearing the traditional white Tae Kwon Do pants, he stops kicking the bag and turns to face the camera. After a long silent moment he bows deeply and speaks with a calm tone.
Marshal Ace: "Murdock. I have no idea who you are either. I assure you, however, after our fight, you will know exactly who I am, and I will still not know who you are. Why? Simple. I have an Ace in the Hole..."
Suddenly, he lashes out toward the camera with a vicious side kick, causing the screen to go black...

Just rolled the first fight...
MMA POW TOURNEY IV
1)SIDEWINDER VS AKUMA
Akuma comes in with the clear edge on the feet. His lethal strikes and his incredible chin spell disaster for Sidewinder if this fight stays on the feet. Sidewinder needs to get this fight to the ground and pound or grind out a victory.
ROUND 1
Sidewinder looks to start things off as he closes the distance. The two meet head on and swing away. Akuma gets the better of the exchange. As Sidewinder backs up Akuma presses forward and continues to blast away. Sidewinder dazed and off balance spills to the ground. Akuma pounces. Akuma takes Sidewinders back and looks for the rear naked. Sidewinder defends and rolls to his back. As Akuma looks to strike from the guard Sidewinder explodes out from under him and sweeps. Now in top position Sidewinder takes over with some ground and pound. Sidewinder scores over and over as Akuma desperately tries to get off his back. Just as Akuma struggles to his feet Sidewinder slams him back to the mat and dives down with a huge right hand. The crowd roars as the blow finds its mark square on the jaw of Akuma. The ninja goes limp and the ref jumps in and calls the fight.
WINNER: SIDEWINDER/ KO (GROUND AND POUND)/ ROUND 1/ 2 MINUTES 55 SECONDS
Real shocker here. I had Akuma taking this by KO in the early rounds. Big upset win for Neily's fighter.

2)FIREBALL JOE THOMAS VS KATARO
Though Kataro is no slouch on the feet his best bet is to take this one to the ground. His arsenal of neck wrenching holds is more than enough to have Thomas tapping out in no time. If this fight stays on the feet and in the clinch this may be a short night for Kataro. Fireball has some serious power on the outside as well as in the clinch. This is a tough one to call but my money is on Kataro via 1st round submission.
ROUND 1
Kataro sprints across the ring as soon as the fight starts. The crowd leaps to their feet as Kataro lands a flying knee that sends Fireball crashing to the ground. Kataro pursues and attempts his patented pentagram choke (triangle-ish choke from rear mount). Fireball breaks free but Kataro keeps the pressure on with a North South choke. Fireball powers out of the hold and springs back up to his feet. Kataro scrambles back up and comes in guns blazing. Fireball counters well with a well placed kick to the head. Kataro falls back to the ground. Fireball backs away and motions for him to stand. Kataro gets back to his feet. The two circle wearily throwing the occasional strike from the outside. Then after feinting a leg kick Kataro barrels into Fireball with a deep double leg. The crowd leaps to their feet as Fireball lands head first on the ground. Kataro wastes no time and cranks away with a vicious Darce Choke (neck lock). Fireball writhes in agony before tapping out to the brutal hold.
WINNER: KATARO/ SUBMISSION (DARCE CHOKE)/ ROUND 1/ 2 MINUTES 21 SECONDS
I though Fireball was going to turn this one around once it got back to the feet. However Kataro's brutal slam set Fireball up perfectly for the choke.
Looking forward I dont see Sidewinder out grappling this guy when they meet in the semi finals.
