I don't know where this could lead, but this is an early concept for a system I'm coming up with for generating a wrestler's or tag team's fan base. For simplicity purposes, the Base Fan Heat in the first section is an example for starting a promotion from scratch, with champions yet to be determined.
Base Fan Heat 25 %
After the match's conclusion, add fan base modifiers to Base Fan Heat to determine the wrestler's new Base Fan Heat. Subtract the winning wrestler's new Base Fan Heat from the losing wrestler's new Base Fan Heat and add the result to the winning wrestler's new Base Fan Heat while subtracting the same amount from the losing wrestler's post-match Base Fan Heat. (This is how many fans the winning wrestler has won over from the losing wrestler. These fans will discuss the match on social media (maybe even post videos of the match for potential new fans to view), which will help to maintain both wrestler's post-show Base Fan Heat going into the next show they're scheduled for.)
WAYS TO USE BASE FAN HEAT
* Rankings system (The higher the fan base, the higher the wrestler is ranked)
* Determining title shots:
- Base Fan Heat between 75% to 94% = wrestler is eligible to challenge for secondary title; Tag Team Base Fan Heat between 75% and 100% or higher = team is eligible to challenge for tag team titles.
- Base Fan Heat between 95% to 100% or higher = wrestler is eligible to challenge for World Heavyweight title; Women's Base Fan Heat between 70% and 100% or higher = woman wrestler is eligible to challenge for Women's title.
* Determining show booking status:
Main Event: 95% to 100% or higher
Upper Card: 75% to 94%
Upper Mid-Card: 55% to 74%
Mid-Card: 50% to 54%
Lower Mid-Card: 41% to 49%
Lower Card: 31% to 40%
Lower Opening-Match: 21% to 30%
Opening-Match: 11% to 20%
Upper-Dark Match: 6% to 10%
Dark Match: 0% to 5%
When scheduling shows, the wrestler or team with the higher Fan Base Percentage will receive the higher booking status. For example, Let's say that War Machine with 92% Fan Base Percentage is booked to face The Addiction with 51% Fan Base Percentage. On the same show, Roderick Strong with 92% Fan Base Percentage is booked to wrestle Kyle O'Reilly with a Fan Base Percentage of 77%. Both War Machine and Roderick Strong qualify for Upper Card booking status, but because Kyle has a higher Fan Base Percentage than the Addiction, the War Machine vs. Addiction match will take place on the show before the Roderick Strong vs. Kyle O'Reilly match.
* Post-match Base Fan Heat can be used to determine how many fans buy a certain wrestler's or team's merchandise. For example, let's say that the venue in which you've booked your show seats 1,000 fans. War Machine's post-show Fan Base Percentage is 95% after winning the Ring of Honor World Tag Team titles from the Young Bucks, whose post-show Fan Base Percentage is 85%. Both War Machine and the Young Bucks have T-shirts available for sale at the venue, which means that 950 fans will buy War Machine T-shirts, while 850 fans will buy Young Bucks T-shirts. This could mean that 100 fans are buying just War Machine T-shirts while 850 are buying both War Machine and Young Bucks T-shirts, but it's up to the promoter to make that determination. (Obviously wrestlers and teams who have post-show Fan Heat over 100% are going to sell out their merchandise, regardless of what their current Fan Base Percentage is.)

Base Fan Heat 25 %
WAYS TO GAIN FAN HEAT
Scheduled In Match Against Major Rival | + 5% |
Scheduled In Match Against Secondary Rival | + 3% |
Using a normal move to attempt a pinfall or submission, each occurrence | + 1% |
Using a Specialty move (i.e., Jay Lethal's Lethal Combination) to attempt a pinfall or submission, each occurrence | + 3% |
Using a Finishing move to attempt a pinfall or submission, each occurrence | + 5% |
Scheduled In Special Match (i.e., cage or ladder matches, Ring of Honor Fight Without Honor, etc.) | + 5% |
Minor title match participation (includes secondary singles, tag team and women's titles) | + 2% |
Heavyweight title match participation | + 3% |
WAYS TO LOSE FAN HEAT
Losing by disqualificatio | -1 % |
Losing a match by normal move (non Specialty, non-Finisher) | - 2% |
Losing a match by Specialty move | - 3% |
Losing a match by Finisher | - 5% |
Using an illegal tactic on opponent (i.e., choke holds, low blows, hair pulling, chair shots and manager interference (regardless of success or failure)), each occurrence | - 2% |
Being suspended (cumulative per each show of suspension length) | ]- 5% (For example, let's say that Jay Lethal faced his rival Michael Elgin in a match and in a post-match brawl, he assisted Joey Daddiego in injuring Elgin for 3 cards. For his part in Elgin's injuries, Lethal was suspended for 6 cards. Lethal would lose 30% of his post-show Base Fan Heat, since he's not going to be building upon his Base Fan Heat because he's sitting 6 shows out at home.) |
EXAMPLE
Row 1 column 1 | MICHAEL ELGIN | JAY LETHAL |
Pre-Match Fan Base Percentage | 25% | 25% |
Major Rivalry | + 5% | + 5% |
Heavyweight Title Match Participation | + 3% | + 3% |
Michael uses the spinning back fist to attempt a pinfall (normal move) | + 1%
Michael uses the ELGIN BOMB to attempt a pinfall | + 5%
Jay uses a Lethal Combination to attempt a pinfall (Specialty move) | + 3%
Jay uses a KOJI CLUTCH to attempt a submission (Finising move) | + 5%

Jay used an eye rake twice during the match (- 2% each occurrence) | - 4%
Modified Post-Match Fan Base Percentage | 34% | 42% |

Jay is suspended for 6 shows for helping Joey Daddiego injure Michael for 3 shows during a post-match beat down (- 5% per show) | -30%
