In 87 I'd definitely give Sam an A for POP, I think Brute and Massacre's MIC should each be a level higher, Pit Viper a B in MIC (You have to figure he's giving some cool sinister promos, very edgy), Mutant probably deserves a B POP, you know he's probably going to lose, but he'll entertain you. I agree that Sam should actually have an A POP Rating... And Mutant should probably be C/B... Unlike the in-ring skills, these two fields are a lot more subjective... I put Viper at a C MIC Rating because I felt he might be suffering from some self-esteem issues after first being forced to don the mask, causing his interview skills to drop off a bit... I could see Massacre having an A MIC Rating... But, figured Brute didn't talk a whole lot in those early years... Love the discussion! And I really hope to see more people post their thoughts on where these ratings should be...

Here's a general question...should the POP change/grow over time? Would a debuting Spike/Ram/Badger/Hell all have the same POP as your established stars in the federation per debuting? This is a great question... For no other reason than to prevent confusion, I would personally keep the ratings consistent over time... Brand new talent might take awhile to really achieve their full potential, but this is where the promoter can use their own discretion to make things credible... Look at it the same way that you look at in-ring abilities... No matter how long Vanity competes, he never gets any better at brawling outside the ring.

I think you could make an argument for the POP/MIC changing when a new card is released. Of course, if a wrestlers turns from face to heel of vice-versa, but even with an update or downgrade of a wrestler.

Just like everything else, the MIC/POP ratings would be eligible for an up or downgrade when a new card gets released... When Viper becomes Dragonmaster, I would be tempted to bump his MIC up to A!

Looking at the on-line cards...some do receive minor updates even before official new card updates. I could see the same for all cards...not that all cards would be changed immediately...but slowly. As to Pariah's example of Vanity...look at Pulsar from 2087 to 2088 online...his deathjump goes from B to A. My opinion, is that these could change slowly over time. I would expect Omega's POP to be A in 2087...but...I would expect it to fall.
Now, about the Managers...I assume they would raise a POP or MIC when appearing. Sweet Thing could raise POP but not MIC. What are your other suggestions for early managers?

Thus far, here's what I've been thinking: Trainer Jim: +1 MIC Overlord: +1 POP Darkos: +1 MIC Sweet Thing: +1 POP Reynard B. Guile: +1 MIC and +1 POP Doomsayer: +1 POP Don't think I'd have Amazonia, Omega or Solaris impact the ratings of their wrestlers.

I wouldn't agree with all of those but pretty good effort. AG would be Mic A Pop B Thanks. That's what I was thinking too. The manual says that he's a huge trash talker. Plus, he seems to be popular enough (due to his cooking out on the grill during matches); But he certainly doesn't seem to be a top level fan favorite. On the flipside, US Male in 2119 seems to suck. I've used him as singles enhancement talent. In fact, I just had a match where Killprey dismantled US Male so thoroughly that he was bleeding out of his eyes and ears - and both of his knees kept giving out on him. He refused to submit, so Latasha left ringside because she couldn't watch any more. Male's a joke in my league. (Even as a tag team, where he's significantly better, he keeps losing.) Paralyze rocks though!!

I'd go Earthquake C, Bounty Hunter probably a B, but with Guile I can see C as well. The Pops all look good.

My thought with Bounty Hunter is that he would have a C MIC Rating alone, but if Guile is with him, it goes up to a B... Invasion 2090 Matter MIC C POP BAntimatter MIC C POP BMitsuko MIC C POP CIron Mane MIC B POP APulsar Prime MIC B POP BDeath Masque MIC C POP ARatings for Star Warrior, Krakan, Terak and the Gladiators remaining unchanged. What are your thoughts on Death Masque having an A POP Rating? Wasn't sure if that would be too high, but I think he's a pretty imposing figure after his upgrade... A lot like Splatter... Really appreciate the feedback!
