All American Summer Clash Tour Pro Wrestling America heats up the summer with the best of mat action. Several cities had the road show all leading up to the Finale: All American Super Clash show in Washington DC. THe road shows on the tour will feature a special round-robin "Bracket Buster" tournament. Two brackets featuring 4 wrestlers will pair off in round-robin matches leading to a final match in Washington. Bracket 1 - Mr. Saito, Magnificent Muraco, Larry Zbyszko and Randy Savage. Bracket 2 features King Kong Bundy, Masked Superstar, Dr. Death and Bruiser Brody. Title matches and a couple of grudge matches round out the lineups at these locations. The scoring system for the round-robin stage is 2 points for pin or submission win, 1 point for a technical win (COR, DQ) or a draw, 0 points any loss.
Oklahoma City - Bracket Buster matches along with two title matches top the card in Oklahoma.
Bracket 1 - Mr. Saito def. Magnificent Muraco after Muraco missed a deathjump leaving an opening for Saito to hit the SAITO SUPLEX for the win.
Larry Zbyszko upset Randy Savage after the Macho Man's rival, Pampero Firpo distracted Savage from ringside. Zbyszko and Saito each earned two points for their opening night victories.
Bracket 2 - Masked Superstar used a Superstar Clothesline to upend King Kong Bundy by COR. Bundy flipped through the ropes after the Superstar hit him with well-timed signature move.
Steve "Dr. Death" Williams def. Bruiser Brody. Doc dominated the big Bruiser but it took 2 lariats followed by 3 consecutive football tackles to keep the big man down. Masked Superstar earned a point while Dr. Death earned two points in the Bracket 2 openers.
Team USA (Tony Atlas and Patriot) won the North American Tag-Team Championship over the champion Tolos Brothers. Oklahoma City fans went crazy when Atlas notched the victory over Chris with Crushing Full Nelson. Team USA heads to a showdown against TWF Tag-Team Champion The Megabucks (Andre & Dibiase) with a set of belts of their own. Bill Apter interviewed the new champions for the Wrestling News segment of Pro Wrestling USA television.
Rick Rude (with Bobby Heenan) def. 80s Mania Champion Star Boy to win the title. Rude dominated the smaller champion and used the RUDE AWAKENING for the title win. Rude's manager Bobby Heenan ran into the ring and jumped for joy. Heenan has a single champion back in his stable after Nick Bockwinkel dropped the TWF Title to Buddy Rogers.
Excellent start of the All American Clash tour as the two title switches started the fireworks. Pro Wrestling America and wrestling fans in general are excited for the big summer events!

All American Clash Tour from Omaha, Nebraska
Bracket 1 - Larry Zbyszko def. Magnificent Muraco with spinning back kick. The match between these two crafty veterans derailed into a karate-type brawl. Larry Legend caught the Magnificent One with a swift karate kick to earn his 4th point in the tournament.
Mr. Saito def. Randy Savage via DQ. Savage dominated until Pampero Firpo appeared again at ringside. Savage used a chair to ward off the Wild Man of the Pampas but while security dragged Firpo away, Macho Man continued to use the chair. The referee called for the bell as the match was out of control at that point. Zbyszko faces Saito in a key match of the tournament. Saito has to earn a pin or submission to win the bracket, while Zbyszko only needs a draw or any type of victory to earn the winning point. Savage and Muraco square off in the consolation match but with those two competitors it should rock the house!
Bill Apter interviewed new 80s Mania Champion Rick Rude and manager Bobby Heenan. Heenan vowed this signaled a return to greatness for the Heenan Family. Apter hit a counterpoint regarding the former champion Star Boy and TWF Champion Buddy Rogers. Rude began to yell back to Apter and poked him in the chest but Star Boy ran the pair off before it got too physical.
Challenge Match - Claudio Castignoli (with Jonny Fairplay) def. Sam Houston (with Magnum TA). Heated match as Houston stood in for the recovering Magnum TA. Magnum did say he was almost 100% and is gunning for Claudio. TA held up on his word as he smacked Claudio after several refusals to break from the ropes, but Houston could not capitalize as he missed a subsequent death jump. Claudio hit the NEUTRALIZER for the win. He also hit a second NEUTRALIZER after the match , sending Houston through a table while TA jawed with Fairplay. Sam was kayoed from the assault and was helped to the back by TA.
Bracket 2 -Masked Superstar and Bruiser Brody fought to a DDQ. Wild brawl to start the match which burned out of control in a hurry.
Steve Williams pinned King Kong Bundy to take the lead in Bracket 2. Doc continued his impressive run. He used two lariats sandwiched around a football tackle to knock Bundy off his feet. He then press-slammed the Atlantic City Giant and used the OKLAHOMA STAMPEDE to win the bout. Similar situation in Bracket 2 as Dr. Death leads with 4 points and faces 2nd place Superstar with three points for the final round-robin. The battle of King Kongs winds up the bracket in the consolation bout.
TWF Tag-Team Champions The Megabucks (Andre The Giant and Ted Dibiase with Virgil) def. North American Champions Team USA by DQ. Team USA had the champions on the run as they dazzled the Megabucks with their seamless team work but then Virgil happened. First, Patriot rocked Dibiase with a PATRIOT MISSILE after a sunset flip pin attempt. Atlas tagged in to hit a PRESS SLAM and SPLASH where Virgil slipped an object to a dizzy Dibiase. Mr. USA grabbed the object and used it for himself!! The referee called for the bell as Dibiase was knocked to the floor. The Megabucks scurried from ringside with their belts in tow.
The Bracket Buster is nearing the finale as one more event before the All American Super Clash. The road show brings the heat wave to the Windy City next which also heralds the in-ring return of Magnum TA who will team with hometown heroes the Road Warriors in a South Side Rumble!

All-American Clash tour continues with a road show from Chicago, Illinois Bracket 1 - Randy Savage def. Magnificent Muraco after using a Flying Ax Handle to the ringside floor which left Muraco easy pickings from a pinpoint kneedrop for the win. Pampero Firpo was banned from the building but the announce team mentioned Savage and Firpo will do battle in a Steel Cage Match during All American Super Clash.
Mr. Saito won Bracket 1 in an exciting back-and-forth match over Larry Zbyszko. Saito gained the upper hand and used the SCORPION LEGLOCK to punch his ticket to the final in Washington DC. Bracket 1 Final Standings - Saito -6 (winner) , Zbyszko - 4, Savage -2 and Muraco - 0
Bracket 2 - King Kong Bundy def. Bruiser Brody but needed TWO AVALANCHES to keep the Bruiser down.
Masked Superstar def. Dr. Death with Morgan Dollar as referee. While Doc dominated big brawlers like Bundy and Brody, the Superstar used a skilled, mat-based assault to edge the Doctor in the final. Williams old rival Dutch Savage was at ringside and argued constantly with the Doctor, claiming that Doc was ducking him! Superstar was unfazed and got the pin from an interesting cradle while keeping the COBRA HOLD locked in. Superstar wins the bracket and advances to the finals. Doc ran off to the back to get a piece of Dutch Savage who cost him a spot in the finals.
Bracket 2 Final Standings -Superstar -5 (winner), Williams - 4, Bundy -2 and Brody -1. Mr. Saito faces Masked Superstar in DC in a winner take all tournament final!
First Blood Match, Falls Count Anywhere - Warhawk def. Hammer Head. The All American spirit was alive and well in this match as the patriotic soldier Warhawk took care of business against the intimidating Russian Hammer Head. Warhawk used all his combat tactics to bring the battle to the big Russian. Warhawk treated the walls of the arena as a nail and used Hammer's Head to pound the walls to open a wound after a FIRST BLOOD. The referee called for the bell but while Hammer Head was groggy was still ready for a fight. Great match.
The Windy City fans had a special treat as a Main Event as hometown favorites the Road Warriors teamed with the returning Magnum TA to face the Jonny Fairplay's international trio of Claudio Castignoli and the New Zealand Sheepherders- Butch & Luke in a South Side Rumble. The match was under hardcore street fight rules and Magnum TA and the Road Warriors wasted little time in taking the action to the internationals by interrupting the ring introductions. The strategy for the Warriors and TA was to isolate Claudio and it worked for the most part as Claudio was busted open early. Butch and Luke double-teamed Magnum in retaliation and Magnum was the 2nd person to bleed. The Road Warriors retaliated by busting open Luke as payback. Just when the match looked like it was moving to a donnybrook, Claudio tried mat work to work back into the match. However, the slower pace backfired as he walked into a picture perfect BELLY TO BELLY SUPLEX by Magnum for the win! Magnum was not finished and continued his assault on Claudio as payback for his injury along with a recent injury inflicted by Claudio. Castignoli was stretchered out from ringside after a vicious piledriver outside the ring!

Timeline: Washington DC, baseball stadium. Event: Pro Wrestling America presents the All American Super Clash show (part 1). A record TWF crowd just over 51,000 attended this event from the Nation's capitol. The card was announced, the tickets are sold and the programs are printed. Let's check the action.
20-Man Two-Ring Interpromotional Battle Royal, the winners of each ring will pair off in a one-on-one encounter for the top prize! Ring One featured National Champion Bob Roop and Mexican National Champion Mil Mascaras from the open field. Representing 80s Mania in ring one were: Arizona Chance, Dark Invader, Star Boy and Piranha. TWF wrestlers in ring one: Terry Gordy, Killer Kowalski, Destroyer and One Man Gang.
Ring Two featured independents Southwest Heritage Champion Dick Hutton and All-Asian Champion Antonio Inoki from Japan. 80s Mania talent in ring two: Ace Arcadium, Cobalt Commander, Mighty Leo and Skullgore. TWF talent in ring two included: DDP, Giant Bernard, Dan Spivey and Warlord.
Battle Royals are usually fast and furious and this match held true to form. Highlights in ring one included Dick Hutton eliminating three wrestlers en route to winning that half of the match. The Warlord eliminated Dan Spivey and Giant Bernard but could not eliminate Hutton. The big man was surprised by the rough cowboy to exit the match. Hutton also eliminated the last 80s Mania talent in ring one: Ace Arcadium. Hutton had earlier eliminated All Asian Champion Antonio Inoki in a clash of champions of sorts.
Mil Mascaras survived the action in ring two last eliminating Terry Gordy. Gordy impressed though and eliminated One Man Gang following a giant Bam Bam Slam. Gordy also disposed of National Champion Bob Roop unceremoniously after a missed turnbuckle charge. The 80s Mania talent did the most damage to themselves in ring two as Dark Invader was the last remaining from that roster. Mil Mascaras slipped from the Darksider's grasp and eliminated him before facing Gordy.
Ultimately Hutton and Mascaras squared off for the top prize and while both men were worn down from the action, they still provided a solid match. Hutton took control early with his mat attack but Mascaras used agility to turn the tables on the Southwest champion. Mascaras continued to outpace the slower Hutton and used a series of Slingshot Planchas from different angles to win the battle royal!
NOTES: Outside talent ruled the roost in the battle royal as the fans were treated to a slew of guest appearances. The remainder of the card should showcase the core talent in Pro Wrestling America. The announcers made mention of the bonus Clash show in San Francisco where any matter not settled tonight will make the card on the West Coast. Stay tuned for part two.
