When I mentioned by ranking system in my Graymar's GWF (Alternate Universe) (Cheap Pop)...I had a couple of requests for information. So, I typed up the following. As always I'd be glad to have feedback or answer any questions. Graymar 2016 Ranking System.doc (91 KB)

This is really cool, thanks!
I think the only issue I'd have is adjusting the rankings after every event- may be very time consuming. Do you puts the stats into an excel spreadsheet that calculates the new rating?
I think i'd use this for base ranking when setting up a new fed.
Cheers
Joe

I have only one “issue“ You use the average pin for tagteams.why not the same for pw and ag? I have no problem if you want to try it that way. I think Jim had this method in his original Stroke system. I like it because the team will usually be greater than the sum of the parts. For example, the Road Warriors team stroke is greater than either Hawk or Animal. It's not true with the Space Croppers where Renegade is clearly the better of the two. So...generally, I don't want the team rating lower than the individual ratings. Thanks for asking.

You've got them labeled from 7 in column G to 1 in column M. I'm plugging in the ELO ratings for everybody in my ROR roster into your sample sheet in order to test out your ranking system in my fed. Also, what's that calculation you have underneath between the ELO ratings and the match weights in column C? C31: =+F23 (Spirit Dancer's current ELO rating of 1270) C32: =+F7 (1277 - Screw's current ELO rating of 1268 with a discrepancy of 9) C33: =+C31-C32 (-7)

No problem. That was just the card number...so I update after each card in each of those columns. Be glad to answer any other questions. Let me know your thoughts.
