Wow, given all the negative reviews it's been getting, kinda surprised there wasn't a thread already started...Basically just want to say don't believe everything you hear. Seems like people almost want to dislike this movie and will pretend they didn't enjoy it, so as not to feel ostracized by the haters. Heaven forbid we like any "comic book" movie without the oh-so-mighty (and oh-so-over rated) Marvel name attached to it!
Was it perfect? No, but how many films are, especially those with such high expectations? Sorry if Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy was so good (it was!) that everything else will now pale in comparison. BvS starts off a bit slow, but once it got going, I enjoyed it as much as a lifelong Batman fan could and should without fear of reprisal from the "film" community. Most brutal, violent depiction of Batman on the big screen yet (Thanks, Ben!) and that alone was worth my money.

I have to agree with you there. Personally, I don't see anything wrong with the movie. Everything has it's ups and downs. And even though it started out a bit slow, I liked it. Many of us grew up on comic books which is why films like this would always grab our attention. Honestly, some films could be better.

Very much looking forward to seeing this movie (hopefully, I'll catch it on the big screen)... Looks like it has a very dark edge to it... And critics be damned... Hell, I thought Daredevil (also starting Affleck, who I thought did a fine job in the role) was awesome and we all now what the masses thought of that one.

My only real gripe with the movie was that Gal Gadot seemed way too skinny to be Wonder Woman.
To me, anyway.

It's interesting to hear y'all say that. The "professional" critics are mixed on the reviews. But, the average moviegoers seem to like it, (at one point, overwhelmingly so, at least on IMDB). I'll go see it regardless of the reviews, but it sure seems like many were predisposed to not like it. I don't get that either.

I saw this movie on Thursday night and I don't understand how it can only have 29% on Rotten Tomatoes. I personally would probably give it a B- for a grade and it has already made over $420 million worldwide.

I saw this movie on Thursday night and I don't understand how it can only have 29% on Rotten Tomatoes. I personally would probably give it a B- for a grade and it has already made over $420 million worldwide. Because I honestly believe that a majority of the critics really have zero clue as to the background, story or the characters. Won't give any examples for fear of spoilers, but a few reviews I read literally had NO CLUE regarding events that take place during the film, which they in turn proceeded to rip apart as not making sense. This was a movie made for the fans, and as evidenced by it's current earnings, the fans don't care what the critics say. Otherwise, "The Piano" would probably be the highest grossing film of all-time...

Just a thought, but any chance the critics are slamming this film in retaliation to Warner Bros. "requesting" that plot points not be revealed??? I am still dumbfounded by the reviews that question why Batman and Superman were at odds. Did these people watch this movie BEFORE or AFTER writing their reviews???

I saw it Friday night, and enjoyed it alot. I personally dont care what critics say, I go to movies and form my own opinion. As others have said yes it was slow in the beginning but then really picked up. Ben as Batman I wasnt too into in the beginning but as the movie moved along he grew on me. Now I wait for Justice League.

I loved it. Batfleck was brutal and really lived up to the idea that Batman is getting brutal in his old age. I can't wait to see Batfleck in Suicide Squad. I also loved the nod to Jason Todd
