I went to the TV tapings last night at Sam's Town. I don't want to post too much because I don't want to spoil anything about the upcoming TV episodes, but some of my favorite matches taped last night were Lio Rush and Jay White vs the Briscoes, Bobby Fish defending his title against Katsuyori Shibata, and Hiroshi Tanahashi and Michael Elgin vs Adam Cole and Hangman Adam Page. There was also a ROH return last night and IMO, based on the way they are setting up the show, ASE 8 looks like it is going to be another must see event.
Although the Death Before Dishonor PPV was sold out on Friday night, the TV tapings last night were not sold out. Not surprising as there was alot going on last night- in Las Vegas we also had UFC 202 at the T-Mobile Arena and I know some people who attended Death Before Dishonor on Friday instead went to UFC last night. Plus, the TV tapings were the same time as NXT Takeover was airing on the WWE Network (I just avoided spoilers and watched the replay of NXT Takeover after I got home last night.) In addition, some people including some friends of mine who drove over from California for Death Before Dishonor went home Saturday morning to see a big PCW show in California that included guys like Pentagon Jr., Brian Cage, Willie Mack, Scorpio Sky, and Reno Scum. But despite everything going on last night, it was still a good turnout for the ROH TV tapings and my friend who was backstage both days this weekend told me ROH is already booked to return to Las Vegas at Sam's Town for another two days in early 2017.
Before the tapings, I got my Hangman Adam Page card signed and I got to talk to him briefly about his match against Jay Briscoe the previous night. Now looking forward to next weekend's Field of Honor, hopefully it won't take too many days for the VOD to be available after the show.
