It wouldn't be an ROH set really it'd be a New Japan set, and I think the odds of that are nil as apparently New Japan has its own card game. I am curious about whether the NJPW game has exclusive contracts. I think their game has Lance Hoyt in it yet we were able to get him in the Inspire set. So hopefully that means we could get a NJPW wrestler here and there if someone can get them to sign. I'd assume the Americans will be the easiest to sign though.

Yeah, it was just a thought. I'm all for getting any puro or josh talent in the game we can and with ROH/NJPW's cross promotion thought perhaps it's not completely off the table.
The King of Pro Wrestling game is only marketed in Japan and made in Japanese and it's wildly different than COTG/LOW. Plus, it's not strictly NJPW, they distribute sets for other promotions like NOAH, Dragon Gate, etc.and do Legends sets that have All Japan and UWFi talent as well. So it hardly seems that it's some sort of strict contract system and the talent would be out of the question, but who knows.
NJPW contracts would probably get in the way. Ultimately, as prefaced in my original post, it was just a hypothetical wish list. And I really would consider it an ROH set not a NJPW set (there are some other names I'd put in a NJPW set above some mentioned in my Global Wars set). Of course, if one wanted to be all proper about it I suppose you'd cross brand it as ROW/NJPW. Like they do Global Wars. Whatever. Kinda seemed like a snarky response to a bit of wishful thinking. Ah well.

I'd love the New Japan guys don't get me wrong, but there have been many stories how hard it is to work out things with Japanese wrestlers so I can only imagine what it would be like with the higher ups.

Troy- I totally hear ya. And with New Japan most likely being even less flexible with their talent after the exodus at the New Year, I can only imagine how difficult it would be to get hem signed. Probably lucky to have Osperay in the game considering he just signed. If it happens, awesome, but I do understand it's a long shot. I'm just super pleased we've been able to get the British talent signed via EVOLVE.
As for some other names I'd like to see in the next set that may be a little more realistic: Alex Shelly, Lio Rush, Will Ferrara, Beer City Bruiser, Prince Nana, and Taeler Hendrix wrestler or manager/valet and Todd Sinclair ref card to round it out or as PP exclusives, perhaps.
It's interesting because there aren't a ton of current roster guys we don't already have and not many are due for an update either. That's what really got me thinking of the Global Wars/War of the Worlds theme. Pipe dream or not, haha.
Either way, I'll be one of the first to order when it becomes available!

Who wants a Bullet Club update for "Hangman" Adam Page?

I think it'd be a great addition and he's just about the only existing talent I would even consider in possible need of an upgrade. Not sure his stats would change a ton, but I'd welcome the new artwork and moves.

Yeah, the gaijin are going to be the easiest ones to sign because they have different type deals than the Japanese guys have. A lot of them just have booking agreements, which means they could sign with FG if they wanted since they're basically freelancers. I didn't know the difference between the two contracts until a friend of mine who knows Harry Smith personally explained that he basically just had a booking agreement. The actual contracted guys---the stars like Tanahashi, Okada, Naito; they're going to be a hurdle since New Japan really doesn't let anyone make merch of their stars unless it's something they've already made and they're just licensing it to someone else. The 8x10s from the yearly ROH tours I guess would count against that, but if they don't have the 8x10s...what are those guys going to sign? But with that written, 2016's been pretty batshit insane so never say never. I'd be more inclined to bet on Bushiroad letting ROH sell the King of Pro Wrestling cards on their online store and at shows, though.

Does anyone know when the next ROH set will be released or when names will be announced for it? Pretty sure that a July release was announced on Twitter... So, I'd expect teasers to start dropping fairly soon.

Thanks. I thought it might be released at "Best In The World", but we should've had teasers by now. My birthday's in July, so this will be a great birthday present to myself!
