Cheers Troy. I always enjoyed the card pack releases. Just kind of got overshadowed by my GWF fed playing.
WIN / LOSS RECORDS
Thought it would be interesting to tally up wins and losses so far. Some interesting stats I hadn’t realised. As there are no official tag teams yet I have just added a tag win to a wrestler’s record. The only named team is the Masterminds (Skullgore and Cobalt Commander). For what it’s worth they have only teamed up once and are 0-1. So here’s the list
Hammerhead 11-2 (Won first 9 in a row and only been pinned once) Ace Arcadium 8-3 (1 DDQ) Star Boy 8-3 Arizona Chance 8-4 Jet Set Strutter 8-4 (Only ever been pinned once) Mighty Leo 8-5 Lazer 7-6 Warhawk 6-4 (1 DDQ) Bug Buster 5-7 Skullgore 4-4 (1 DDQ) Dark Invader 4-5 Rad Racer 4-8 Johnny Kobra 4-9 Cobalt Commander 3-9 The Piranha 2-9 (1 DDQ) Tennis Pro 1-9 (Lost first 8, had no idea he was that bad)

Cannot recommend them enough. The art style is really colourful and the cards look great. There are some great characters that I would of loved to see if more packs would of been created. Am looking forward to bringing the guys from the third set such as Dude Brohan and Pierre the Enormous.
I was a huge fan of WWF late 80s early 90s when Ultimate Warrior was on top. The whole roster was great and I feel with this game there can be a real feel for that era with the parodies. With Dude Brohan and BuZZsaW it’s like I can do that whole big build to them meeting in much the same way the WWF teased and then finally gave us the greatest main event ever, Warrior-Hogan
I know I could play the app on iOS which I have tried to do but unfortunately it seems a bit dull. With the cards it’s a different story

I'm actually contemplating dropping them in my dystopian future where they find old wrasslin tapes and 80s nostalgia so they all can be utilized there as kind of cosplay wrestlers but actually good lol

Getting into this now. Managed to get another show rolled …
Card 15 – Saturday Night Superstars – High School Gym: (Rex Spectrum interview segment – Cobalt Commander – Talk of world domination over and over again. Sensing the interview wouldn’t get the crowd going Rex had an ace up his sleeve to wake them all up. To invite the Commander’s chief rival, Arizona Chance, out and suggest a match between them. Arizona was already nearby preparing for another match so it was a no-brainer to get him into the mix. After a fracas that nearly sent Rex’s equipment tumbling they eventually agree and will face off on the next show)
(Commissioner Codger announces his decision on Tennis Pro’s behaviour at the last show. Says fans should never be endangered and attacking them is deplorable. Despite the big dressing down he then only dishes a 1 card suspension. Tennis Pro got off very lightly there although when news reaches the reaction is far from one of relief. His playing partner on the court cops the full barrage of his fury and ends up running circles around the net with a racket being swung at them)
Warhawk and Arizona Chance go over Hammerhead and the Piranha. Classic 80s stuff as the Piranha has set some traps on the runway. Arizona Chance and Warhawk have to come down dodging nerf gun pellets and even a massive swinging foam ball on a rope comes down from the rafters and tries to knock them off their stride. But nothings going to stop them tonight. Warhawk has a point to prove after losing big on the last show. He takes on most of the work and beats the Piranha with FIRST BLOOD. Hammerhead tried to break the pin but Arizona Chance uses his rope to lasso the big Russians arms together. Big pop for this.
Jet Set Strutter gets a scare against Rad Racer in non-title action but wins by DQ. Strutter’s manager, Big Boss, Jr is at ringside being loud and brash. His cigars also creating a disgusting haze. Strutter even accepts one and arrogantly starts the match whilst puffing on one. Gets the shock of his life when Rad explodes into action and kicks his ass. Strutter is constantly begging off. Big Boss, Jr is looking very worried as a loss to an undercarder like Rad would be mega embarrassing. Several minutes in Strutter manages to roll outside to get away from the pummelling. Rad follows him but the ensuing brawl doesn’t go his way. Spots Big Boss, Jr trying to vandalise his prized BMX bike and turns on him. As soon as he puts his hands on the fat manager the ref has no option but to call for the bell. Poor Rad is swindled out of a major win.
Dark Invader proves to be master of his bout with Star Boy. Sinister opening line from Dark Invader “succumb to my teachings boy, don’t make me destroy you”. Star Boy says nothing. When it is clear his advances are failing Dark Invader says “destruction it is then” and sets about dismantling Star Boy. Very little resistance is offered up. The power differential very obvious. Dark Invader needing THE CORRUPTOR (twice) to end the match. Pretty clear this won’t be the last time Dark Invader tries to influence Star Boy. For now he just stands over his beaten opponent and says “foolish boy, we could of ruled the fed together” and stomps off into the darkness at the end of the runway.
Ace Arcadium takes down Skullgore in a great match. Ace comes close to an upset here. Skullgore is pretty hot at the moment. After a kick out after GAME OVER Skullgore rallies big time. Several pin attempts afforded by DIVING SKULLBUTT and CROSSBONE BODY BLOCK. Somehow Ace staves of defeat and comes back at Skullgore again. No messing as he opts for CHEAT CODE and with a +4 hit it’s too much for Skullgore to take.
Mighty Leo against Johnny Kobra ends double DQ. All the progress made on the last show looks like it might be undone as Johnny has a bad start. Leo is all over him. However Johnny clings on and starts to fight his way into the match after a few minutes. Mister Bonsai’s presence having an effect. Would have been nice to of had an outright winner but tempers rise and a brawl forces the ref to call time. Rematch incoming.
Bug Buster shows himself to be superior to Tennis Pro. Great undercard feud this. Lucky we can get the blow off before Tennis Pro cops a suspension. It goes the way of Bug Buster after EXTERMINATION. Never one to go quietly Tennis Pro busts yet another racket in his annoyance at losing.
