CARD 1167 – CENTRA PALLADIUM: Stacked card for what is a weekly show. Even the opener is a humdinger with Ventross featuring. Of course all the talk is about the tag team main event. Twin Blood could be about to make history.
Tag champs, Twin Blood, embarrass Malice and Overkill. What a booking. This match alone had the fans clamouring to get through the turnstiles. Tonight Twin Blood could become the longest reigning champs in history if they manage to keep the belts. It’s Brute and Massacre’s record that will go. So who better to try and stop them than the Gladiators themselves. The onus is on the Gladiators to go for it with very little assistance from Brute. The DQ risk was too high. They got a boost by Johnny Rocket not being present. Intuitively he had stayed away from the venue and it turned out to be a clever move for Spike had been briefed ‘to deal with him’ backstage. Nora Pelf, showing her feelings are still strong for Johnny, begged and pleaded him not to go after hearing his concerns. Some things are just more important than belts. He needn’t of worried as Twin Blood pulls off the incredible feat despite a rocky start. Dreggs was up against Malice and within just three moves hit with FIELDS OF MALICE. Sleeze had his brother’s back though with a speedy pin save. However it looked ominous as Malice pounded on Dreggs for a few more moves and then fed him to Overkill. The huge Gladiator choke slammed Dreggs and it was expected for a finisher of some kind to follow. Instead Overkill went for an avalanche drop which Dreggs spectacularly countered by bouncing both his legs off the top rope and somersaulting backwards over the bewildered Gladiator. Dreggs wasted no time and executed a Maxus Moonsault. Clearly neither Malice or Brute expected the move to pose any danger as they remained static awaiting a powerful kickout from Overkill. Only it didn’t come. Overkill must of been winded and out of nowhere Twin Blood had won. The rage of the Gladiators necessitated a fast departure from Twin Blood though. Better to do their celebrating backstage. Ladies champ, Sniper, sees off the challenge of Maxine Babe. Sniper has been so dominant in the women’s category many are now wondering if she’s good enough to make a raid on one of the men’s belts (something we know Commissioner Morpheus is not keen on). It’s something she refuses to make comment on. Her focus is entirely on defending this belt tonight and taking her amazing reign past the 82 card mark it has now reached. She was heavily favoured to do so as Maxine Babe was not expected to pose too much threat. Maxine again has her stylist with her at ringside. Obviously done to assist with her finisher. The officials should really be sending them away as they are clearly not registered as part of the fed roster. Thankfully the stylist never played any part. Maxine’s offence in the match was very brief. Sniper had most of the control. Although it wasn’t a total walk in the park. Ultimately she used TARGET PRACTICE to keep her belt run going. Maxine Babe fails to keep her dignity in defeat. On recovering she gets hysterical over what she said were illegal tactics by Sniper. There was no proof and she wasn’t giving any details. Just screaming at officials before eventually a big security guy stepped in and carried her off. Her ringside companion was very well behaved by comparison and went quietly.
Mandrill and Wraith overcome Max Shield and Warfare by DQ in a match where Massif was the ref. Phantast makes his dramatic first appearance. Arriving in the centre of the ring in a magical swirling mist. Mandrill laughs and calls him a conjuror of cheap tricks that won’t change the fortunes of the ROC. He then moves forward to attack Phantast only to run into an invisible force field. The fans love it but Massif certainly does not as he orders Phantast to vacate the ring so the match can commence. From then on Phantast doesn’t actually do much. His mere presence is enough to give things an edge. Certainly succeeds in keeping Rouser quiet. Sadly it isn’t much of a match. Warfare was having a good battle with Wraith and building up some decent offence. On throwing Wraith through the ropes he seeked to follow and continue pummelling him. Massif wasn’t having any of it though. Warfare’s momentum was broken and he got out of character when he shoved Massif in frustration. He didn’t move him very much as Massif is even bigger. However you just don’t do that to Massif whether you are villain or hero. Warfare got a large shove back which toppled him. Then the bell was rang to signify the DQ. The crowd didn’t like it but it was a fair decision. Phantast wanted to keep everyone in the good books and instantly apologised to Massif for Warfare’s conduct. Mandrill and Wraith made a big deal about the win afterwards although it was hardly much to brag about.
Skinhead has the measure of Terminus in a Milky Way Falls Count Anywhere match. Carnage is always guaranteed in those types of matches and these two didn’t disappoint. The first foray outside of the ring ended up in a toilet. Terminus was smashed head first into a marble basin and it drew so much blood that the referee (who was just there to count falls) nearly stopped the match there and then. Skinhead didn’t want to get the pin fall there. He wanted it to be in the ring where everyone could see. Once back there he laid Terminus out with BRASS NUCKS and casually put a finger on the chest for the cover. Really trying to maximise the embarrassment. However Terminus shocked him with a kick out. It was more a body convulsion than a kick out if anything as he looked pretty out of it. Skinhead decided to make sure though and wrapped Terminus in Skinhead’s Sleeper. After about 30 seconds he released and Terminus fell like a lead balloon to the floor. He was then pinned. Medics quickly entered the ring and tended to Terminus who needed smelling salts to bring him round. There will surely be another big match between the two before the year is out. They have met 3 times on TV (countless times on dark shows) and at the moment Skinhead has the advantage having won the last two. The Terrorists sweep the Hitmen in a 3 Man Hitman Elimination match. The bag at the top was going to be getting retrieved a lot of times. It gets kept purposely empty. Just filled out with straw. The real bounty was still in the GWFC accounts. A large amount of prize money for the winners. Krakan is very cash orientated and therefore extremely motivated for his team to win. Unfortunately he bears witness to a disaster. Here is the elimination order … Tough Guy totally dominated Dark Justice and grabbed the bag after a falling elbow hammer … Vyper has the luxury of going up against Mutant for a long time and eliminates it after a cross body deathjump allows him to climb the pole … Draconian Sheik beats Mike Fortune who was on his lonesome. Drac won after attacking him with a sharp object. Somebody shone a bright light to the top of the bag encouraging Drac to go after it and thus win the match. This had been a brilliant and bloody battle where each had used their finishers, smashed each other into tables, steps and the pole many times before reaching its climax. Ventross makes quick work of Mayhem. Ventross continues to test himself against high profile singles guys. He had asked Rankor to be his wing man for the match. Rankor refused. The trade off was to have Trisis instead. Corporal Aegis doesn’t like it much but she is determined to help the ROC team out. Trouble is this means Ventross could get distracted looking out for her. He needn’t of worried though. Mayhem seemed well below his best as soon as he entered the ring. Maybe he was running a fever because barely any offence was registered. Ventross put early pressure on with a cover after Ravager Gut Buster. He maintained his dominance after that and a couple of minutes later was able to win via SEVERED TIES. Tough loss for Mayhem to take.

CARD 1168 – CLASH ON CENTRA – CENTRA PALLADIUM: The Code Enforcer defeated Thunder to win the Heavyweight belt. After a fantastic 2110 where Code Enforcer not only held the Centra belt for a long time but also won wrestler of the year he now steps forward to try and win the biggest prize of all. However Thunder having finally gotten hold of the belt is not about to relinquish it easily and there was immediately a scary prospect for Code Enforcer. He spots some of the other Gladiators massing around the runway entrance curtain just before this starts. Clearly a gang attack is on stand by. Commando Sam orders him to ignore them “let me deal with those scummy code breakers”. Brave but foolish words as Sam would surely be swarmed if he tried to stop them. Initially things were normal enough. The action flowed and both combatants traded moments of offence without any major moves being deployed. As the minutes ticked on it was noticeable the Gladiators were creeping closer and closer to the ring. They were now halfway down the runway. Sam almost failed to notice this as he was getting caught in the emotion of the match. The Code Enforcer then started to get the upper hand and managed to use his CODE CROWBAR on Thunder. It wasn’t nearly enough to get the win but he tried it again immediately after. There was no panic among the Gladiators as the move wasn’t considered threatening enough to warrant their intervention. However the falling clothesline had caused Thunder to fall backwards and smash the back of his head straight into the turnbuckle. The blow appeared to knock him out. Sam saw this and yelled at the Code Enforcer “cover him, nooooow!” By the time Brute and the other Gladiators realised the danger it was too late. The ref had made the three count and they were all left with egg on their face. Sam knew there was no time to savour the belt win. He rushed to hand the Code Enforcer not only the belt but also his crowbar. Armed with this the Code Enforcer was able to beat a path to safety for himself and Sam. It was a shock to the Gladiators and they weren’t silent about it after. Thunder warned that he would back for the belt soon and severe punishment awaits the Code Enforcer for making the Gladiators look bad. Tocsin upsets Painmaster to win the Colonizer belt. Here’s a feud that will put bums on seats as the two former Watchmen finally square off. At the last minute the Colonizer belt is put on line by Painmaster to add to the prestige and possible humiliation for Tocsin. Everyone watching has🤞 that this will backfire. Painmaster begins with a taunt to Tocsin “not only do you stink but your wrestling skills stink too, I carried that team for years. The fact we never won any titles is down to you”. Rouser even has a custom sign that says BBO which stood for ban bad odours apparently. Tocsin reacts to this by temporarily jumping out of the ring and blowing his bad breath into Rouser’s face. Rouser and several fans in the front row almost get anaesthetised by it. Rouser does recover in time to pull some distractions but cannot save Painmaster from falling to a shock defeat after being subjected to SENTRY STUNNER and HAZARDOUS WASTE in short order. It had all been going swimmingly for Painmaster. Well in control until he messed up a deathjump. All downhill after that. Tocsin gets a massive pop as he takes the belt and starts pulling at the plate. It had just been crudely stuck on with glue over the original design. The Centra belt was restored and by such an unlikely source. It looks a bit sorry for itself and will be sent for urgent clean up and repairs. Tocsin has skyrocketed in the popularity stakes after this. Since aligning with the ROC I’ve been impressed with him since day one. Never thought he could be heroic or scale such heights. Yet here he is as the saviour of the Centra belt.
Wolf beats Genocide as he masters the Nightmare Matrix match again. Here we go again with the matrix. A colossal meeting between Wolf and Genocide. Lord knows what sorts of images might be cast upon Genocide with his split personality. The matrix didn’t waste any time in getting going. Wolf and Genocide were about to tear into each other when they both suddenly stop and start slapping away at their own bodies. They imagine they are being are being infested with thousands of spiders. Wolf recovers much stronger from the ordeal sparking the commentary team to suggest maybe the matrix had uncovered Genocide’s secret phobia. The incident does pass though and Genocide starts to hit all his chaotic moves. Appearing to be just too wild and too strong for Wolf. Suddenly the same hallucination happens. It drives Genocide nuts. By the time he finally calms down Wolf is in prime position to take advantage. He latches on with SAVAGE FACE CLAW and Genocide cannot break free. Looked sapped of his will to fight. Wolf kept grinding away until Genocide collapsed on the deck and the ref out of sympathy did probably the fastest three count anyone’s seen to bring an end to the match. Wolf doesn’t do celebrating and hotdogging with fans (or whatever you want to call it) anymore. He just casts Genocide a look as if to say “you’re pathetic” and runs out the ring. Maybe was in a rush to catch a full moon with his sick new buddies or something. Trench gets a win back against Warfare in a Circinus Cell Match. This feud is really getting milked as they meet again so soon. If this was to be only half as good as their previous coffin match, which Warfare won, then it would be a thriller. The Circinus Cell setting added all sorts of unpredictability. The hostility towards Trench during his curtain call was particulary notable. Even more than when someone like Mandrill comes out to the ring. Crowd was absolutely baying for his blood. Unbelievable that anyone could surpass Mandrill for being so unpopular. After a prolonged intro and setup process they finally lock up inside the cell. Warfare quickly used his immense strength to acquaint Trench with the sides of the cell. That’s the early pattern until Warfare tried to follow up one throw with a diving shoulder. Suffice to say he missed it and this changed the whole complexion of the match. Trench found more confidence to go toe to toe. Warfare struggled with a shoulder injury after that and took plenty of punishment including a walk around the whole cell where he was planted into all four sides. He was like a walking zombie during these. This came after he was power bombed on the top. Impressive that Trench managed to do that to him. Then there was an ugly spot where his face was grinded into the bars. The crowd jeered what they were seeing. It didn’t dissuade Trench though. He was close to finishing this off. His DOUBLE ARM DDT didn’t quite hit the mark. However it was followed straight after with the illegal METAL RAMROD. Warfare was unresponsive after that and Trench took a significant win. Had been another intriguing battle between the two and there is so much interest in the feud that more meetings will definitely come. This could be a dark horse for feud of the year. Euritar finally makes a mark as he beats Archon in a Castor Chain match. Pegasus pulled out of the match due to the injuries received at the hands of Splatter. Euritar steps forward at the last minute to face Archon instead despite already losing to him earlier in the month. A chance for possible revenge. Rumour has it Archon challenged for this to be staged in the Nightmare Matrix but Pegasus chickened out. Euritar didn’t fancy it either and insisted it remained a chain match. A side note is Archon’s form has been so good that he finds himself on the cusp of a shot at the Heavyweight belt. A win here will make it very likely. Unless the Code Enforcer wins it later in the main event which will prevent that happening what with both being FDF members. Archon’s start showed just how confident and hardcore he has become. Euritar has trouble fending him off and feels THE RIOT ACT early. He managed to kick out and get outside the ring. Trouble is Archon pulls him back via the chain like he was playing tug of war. Euritar cringes as Archon stands before him and wraps the chain tightly around his fist. Archon winds up and goes for the punch only for Euritar to avoid at the last second. Archon’s face contorts with pain as his fist slams into the mat. It’s one of those massive turning points that often happens in matches. Euritar is able to take completely over. One way traffic. In one grisly scene he uses the chain to tie Archon to the turnbuckle post. Archon was helpless as he was subjected to a variety of deadly manoeuvres such as karate chops, shoulder tackles, boxing jabs and more. Once untied Archon looked like he had nothing left. This was confirmed as Euritar now effortlessly used HEADS WILL ROLL to bring an end to Archon’s winning run. It was much needed for Euritar who had, until now, struggled to build on all the promise he’d shown as one of the Code Enforcers. Vengeance labours to beat Dreadnaught in a Centra Coffin Match. Hoping this would not be the last roll of the dice in what was yet another Coffin match for Dreadnaught. He doesn’t like them but it’s a price worth paying to make sure he’s getting booked. I suppose it would be fitting should Vengeance be the one to end his life seeing as he has a murder charge hanging over him anyway. There was immediate drama as Vengeance reached into the coffin and finds an unlikely weapon. He then strikes Dreadnaught with a spade. The very one that he says will be used to dig Dreadnaught’s grave. An immediate attempt is then made to stick Dreadnaught in the coffin. Worry turned to relief as Dreadnaught resisted and shocked Vengeance by managing to face plant him into coffin and avoid a quick loss. Naturally Vengeance responded and got back on top. However numerous attempts throughout the course to get the lid down failed. Dreadnaught always seemed to get an arm up or a blow in to stay alive in the match even after moves like HELTER SKELTER and the Eye Cleaver. It actually took Spike trooping out uninvited to get this won. Vengeance was having another attempt to close the lid and it was getting kind of embarrassing he couldn’t get it done. Spike applying extra force to the downward pressure finally managed to get it won. There were no thanks from Vengeance though. He simply left without saying a word. Sadly rumours spread within the crowd that Dreadnaught had taken a turn for the worse after this had ended. Read the latest news section for more on this. Murdok easily conquered Rankor. The Centra fans are suddenly showing a strange love-loathe reaction to Murdok. Many of them want to support anyone from their dimension and Murdok fits that category but at the same time there is fear in his presence. However they also feel uneasy about Rankor. It means the support is split down the middle. Phantast chooses to stay away from ringside. I don’t think Rankor would of been too welcoming anyway. Whereas most wrestlers have approached Murdok with caution Rankor goes for him straight away. Bad move it turns out. Rankor isn’t developed well enough as a wrestler yet especially in singles action. Murdok maybe in a similar boat in terms of wrestling skill yet due to his immense power has no problem swatting away Rankor’s offence. Just seemed to be toying with Rankor. Then almost as if someone flicked a switch a devastating burst of offence finishes the contest as Murdok unleashes a Head Spear Takedown, Antilian Atomic Drop followed by POWER OF THE PLAGUE (+5) which left Rankor seeing stars. Is very clear it’s going to take a hell of a wrestler to beat Murdok by pin fall. Paragon over Bloodline by DQ. Maybe Paragon’s moaning has paid off. He’s on the bill (albeit midcard mediocrity) and Skinhead is not. Although Johnny Rocket seeks to assure Skinhead that this was not his doing and a result of the Commissioner switching what show his match with Terminus took place on. Whatever the reason this is still a mouth watering match. Paragon was looking to bounce back from his disastrous loss to Prodigy a few weeks ago. Plus he was all too aware that he needed to win big after Skinhead’s success. Bloodline did all he could to stop that happening though. He was leaning heavily on Thantos to provide distractions. Perhaps too heavily as a match that promised much delivered very little. Bloodline was bailing out the ring under early pressure. He then gives a signal to Thantos which presumably meant he was going to try something illegal. Thantos either didn’t see it or chose not to react. It meant Bloodline taking a chair to drive into Paragon’s gut was seen in all its glory by the ref and earned him an instant DQ. Paragon took a while to recover from the blow and then tried to celebrate the win but it was hardly the heroic victory he craved and will do little to change his standing on the team.
Titan Attack come back from the brink to beat Ninja Assassins. Fresh off his shot at the Colonizer/Centra belt Ursa Major is back to tag teaming. Both Titans know they have to try to keep a high ranking and not neglect their team. Although their singles runs did make perfect sense as with Twin Blood at the top it made it very difficult for Titan Attack to challenge regularly for the belts. Lord Nexus still wants to maintain friendly relations with other hero managers and will not force the issue. Just wants the team ready to pounce when the opportunity arises again. For a good while it looked like their break from tag teaming was damaging. The Ninjas were the better performers and with the help of their illegal switching inflicted lots of damage unto Scion Nexus which included their finisher. He kept in the match though and got the hot tag. Doubts over whether he would be much help from then on were cast aside as he bravely forced himself back into the action mere minutes later. Just as well because Ursa Major was in need of a breather having been on the end of DOUBLE EDGE SWORD himself. The Ninjas begun to get frustrated and as we entered the last few minutes before the time limit they allowed mistakes to creep in. Ursa Major got on a roll against Hydrax. Pin saves and manager distractions delayed the inevitable. Ursa Major eventually got him with TITAN VICTORY ROLL. It was such a gallant performance from the two Titans. They’d looked dead and buried but still found a way to win.
Disorder X defeated Team With No Name. Both members of Disorder X still scarred from facing each other in their Falls Count Anywhere match although somehow still a team. Thantos wants little to do with this kindergarten spat and doesn’t accompany. They look more splintered than ever though as they fail to exchange tags at critical moments. Despite this they still come out as victors. Grunge strikes Mad Jester Clone with GUITAR SHOT not once but twice and pins him. He got away with it both times. As soon as the ref tries to raise Grunge’s arm Mace is in his face “why didn’t you tag me in for our tag finisher, you could of cost us the match swinging that guitar around like that”. Grunge tells Mace to chill out which goes down like a lead balloon. Mace resists the urge to lash out at Grunge. Instead takes out his fury on Grunge’s guitar by breaking it in two against the ring post.
Thrash crushed Supernova. The likes of Sniper and Amazonia are making most of the headlines on the female side. However Thrash and Supernova are both looking to remind everyone they are still a part of this fed. In fact Supernova has upped her training regime as she knows her results haven’t been good enough. She’s never been one to try and suck the fun out of wrestling but recognises things have to get even more serious to survive in this fed. Unfortunately Thrash must of had the same thoughts as she starts at a ferocious pace and just never lets up. Supernova never got a foothold and took FEMME FATAL twice in the opening couple of minutes. Although Supernova kicked out of both of these there was obviously a delayed reaction on her. For a little later a rather more innocous move of an overhead toss left her unable to move. Thrash gleefully pins her and later announces she is ready to rip the women’s belt off of Sniper’s waist. Tortured Soul easily beats the Soulwatcher. Battle of the souls. Tortured Soul as usual looking like the life has been sucked out of him. The Soulwatcher’s cult following were being loud and trying to spur him on when suddenly Sir Ender rocks up. He has no business being out there. He’s trying to stir up some publicity for himself again and claim his latest purpose in life is to vanquish zombies and all undead characters. He shouts “today I will deal with Tortured Soul and tomorrow it will be bigger fish like Murdok”. Maleph thought about dive bombing him but instead leaves alone. Sir Ender was free to make a fool himself. Unexpectedly the Soulwatcher is the one to turn on him bringing about a cheer. Sir Ender was floored as he reached the apron by a swift kick. The whole match continues with the buffoon laid out. Unfortunately it’s a soul destroying outcome for the Soulwatcher. He barely mustered anything and found his throat violated several times by ROTTING CLAW which is the move that ultimately defeated him.

GWFC REPORT (THE END 2111 CARDS 1165 - 1168) Champions * GWFC Heavyweight Champ: The Code Enforcer (Top Contender: Thunder) * GWFC Tag Champs: Twin Blood (Top Contenders: The Betrayers) * GWFC Centra Champ: Tocsin (Top Contender: Draconian Sheik) * GWFC Ladies Champ: Sniper (Top Contender: Thrash) Latest News: Twin Blood makes the headlines for becoming the longest reigning tag champions in history. Nobody expected the record mark set by Brute and Massacre over 20 years ago to ever be beaten but finally it has. Twin Blood have now held the titles for 65 cards and are setting their sights on extending that record mark by an even more considerable distance. Their next challenge will come from the Betrayers.
It wasn’t a good month at all for the Gladiators as Thunder immediately surrendered the Heavyweight belt he’d taken so long to win. He and the other Gladiators were caught cold by the Code Enforcer. Brute lamented the Gladiators for failing to follow instruction and carry out the planned gang attack (a snake eyes roll to blame). Often time a deposed champion doesn’t get an immediate chance to win their belt back. They have to work hard to earn the right. However Thunder is lucky that he is still being considered the top contender and will get a rematch on #1170. If he does manage to win it back then sure as hell the Gladiators will be taking no chances. Commando Sam warns the Gladiators that they will not find it easy to get the belt back and not to try anything. He is also aware that the FDF lags in popularity when compared to other hero teams. Thinks that is unfair seeing as the FDF are probably the most successful one in terms of belts in recent years. So he hatches a plan to win the public over by commissioning a hybrid American and Centran flag to be made which he plans to merchandise and wave fervently for the remaining tenure of the fed in this dimension. I suppose one very good way of winning people over is just to keep on beating Gladiators. So maybe he should be more focused on the match ahead than creating some kind of new flag.
Corporal Aegis, Max Shield and Phantast conducted an urgent meeting to discuss the general underperformance of the ROC team and prevent any dark clouds gathering. Not necessarily based on the previous month which did yield some positives. However overall the team has struggled. Whilst they wouldn’t divulge full details Aegis admits publicly the difficulties faced “we did a little more than share anecdotes. The crux of it is that life in the GWFC is tough, we need to focus on fewer bigger things rather than doing lots of little things with tweezers”. They did get a massive lift though by one thing. Something they cannot of imagined. Tocsin being the saviour of the Centra belt. Managing to win it off Painmaster and restoring its identity. Something that has sent his popularity spiralling. That was evident in the way fans were clamouring after the card for his autograph and enduring the stink that he permeates.
Commissioner Morpheus has been put under pressure to end the Nightmare Matrix matches due to the disturbing scenes it can project onto a young audience. It will come as little surprise to learn the person stirring up trouble is Rouser. Leading the protests against it despite the fact it has actually been voted as the fans favourite special match in a recent poll. Morpheus knew exactly how to deal with the mutiny. By forcing Rouser to wrestle in one and gives him one month to comply or face possible contract termination. Legally he probably cannot do this but this is where Phantast has come in. In some kind of voodoo scene Phantast was able to use a Rouser doll from the GWFC store and exert a mental influence on him to put pen to paper on such a match. Morpheus has also been fielding lots of questions about the future of the GWFC. It’s proven so popular on Centra that fans are worried that should an opportunity arise to return to the known dimension and the wrestling ban there is overturned then the whole roster will be off and leave a big gaping hole behind. Morpheus said of this “I cannot gaze into a crystal ball and predict what will happen. All I can say is that at the moment I am committed to making this fed great and that bridge will be crossed if it ever comes to it. I would like to think a federation could prosper in both dimensions”.
Going back to Rouser. When the Nightmare Matrix protesting failed he came up with a new idea which brought him into his first conflict with Mandrill. His suggestion for the Colonizers to boycott key matches at big events was scoffed at. Mandrill told him “you are a servant of the Colonizers who knows nothing. Be grateful we offer you protection and keep your mouth shut”.
The lottery is back! Splatter claims his first victim in many a year. The unlucky winner was Pegasus. Splatter got suspended which knocked out of the Hitmen-Terrorists match on #1167 but he didn’t care. Perhaps he should of done though as the Hitmen got their asses handed to them in the match. Poor Pegasus is out for a good while. It’s ruined his attempts to get among the top contenders which he surely would have been among having just beaten Enigma. He’s not got much sympathy though. Will he have the balls to feud with Splatter on his return? Many past victims have just accepted the beating and got on with things rather than engage in a savage side feud they didn’t want.
Despite a loss to Euritar at CLASH ON CENTRA Archon was on a rise towards a shot at the Heavyweight belt. However this hit a roadblock when his FDF teammate the Code Enforcer beat Thunder. Commando Sam tells him to hold back as he will not risk civil war within the team. Sam thinks protecting the code is more important than belts anyway. Archon agrees punishing GWFC filth is a priority and puts any championship aspirations on ice. How long will he put up with that though?
Plenty of well wishers hoping for a speedy recovery for Dreadnaught. He fought his heart out in his latest coffin match against Vengeance. It needed two Gladiators to close the lid on him. The trauma took a toll and Dreadnaught collapsed back stage and had to spend a night in hospital. Fortunately all his vital signs were good and he was released the next day. Doctors are still urging him to retire before it’s too late although it fell on deaf ears as Dreadnaught is still resisting.
Finally, a release from the championship committee in a bid to cut down more on the amount of DQ outcomes. Losses by DQ will generally penalise wrestlers and teams more than pin losses when deciding the rankings. Of course a pin or submission victory will continue to outweigh a DQ victory. Might make a difference although cannot see it having the desired effect on a group like the Brymstonians who care little for outcomes so long as some form of carnage has taken place. INJURED – Pegasus (6); SUSPENDED – Splatter (1) WRESTLER OF THE MONTH: WOLF - Wolf may be in the dog house with all the fans over his antics but there can be no denying he was the standout wrestler of the month. Overcoming his bogey opponent Grovel and then obliterating Genocide in the Nightmare Matrix (inside of which he has a near unblemished record). TAG TEAM OF THE MONTH: TWIN BLOOD - An incredible achievement to surpass the record of the longest tag belts reign which has stood for over 20 years. If they are not the greatest tag team ever then they are very close to being so.

Tortured Soul easily defeated the Soulwatcher (there was a Sir Ender sideshow before the Soulwatcher succumbed to ROTTING CLAW) 2. Thrash crushed Supernova (overhead toss ends the misery) 3. Disorder X defeated Team With No Name (Grunge lays Mad Jester Clone out with GUITAR SHOT) 4. Titan Attack come back from the brink to beat Ninja Assassins (Ursa Major gets Hydrax with TITAN VICTORY ROLL) 5. Paragon over Bloodline by DQ (not much to say other than dissapointing) 6. Murdok destroyed Rankor (POWER OF THE PLAGUE) 7. Vengeance labours to beat Dreadnaught in a Centra Coffin match (needed assistance from Spike to eventually get the damned lid closed) 8. Euritar finally shows his potential as he easily handles Archon in a Castor Chain match (HEADS WILL ROLL) 9. Trench gets a win back against Warfare in a Circinus Cell match (METAL RAMROD) 10. Wolf beats Genocide as he masters the Nightmare Matrix match again (all the usual matrix shenanigans but Wolf deals with them better and wins after SAVAGE FACE CLAW) 11. COLONIZER TITLE MATCH - Tocsin upsets Painmaster to win the belt (wins with HAZARDOUS WASTE and then restores the belt’s identity) 12. HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH - The Code Enforcer defeated Thunder to win the belt (despite the intimidating presence of the other Gladiators he is able to maintain focus and win via CODE CROWBAR)

CARD 1169 – RUINS OF ANTILIA: The threat from GWFC HQ that DQ losses will have a greater negative impact on rankings than pin losses has very little impact on the villain wrestlers. At least on this show as half of the matches have disappointing outcomes. Twin Blood beat Rebel Empire by DQ in a non-title match. With no gold to brag about anymore the Colonizers are getting twitchy. Mandrill didn’t take kindly to his empire being described as a malfunctioning mess and is stepping up attempts to align himself with Murdok. With Rebel Empire wrestling on Antilia Mandrill decided to travel with them and seek counsel with Murdok. Before that happened he replaced Rouser at ringside to watch, more like interfere in, this match. Knowing that if Rebel Empire can beat the champs in a non-title match it could fast track them to an actual title shot. Trouble is he ends up costing them. Twin Blood started really well and Nefarus might have been beaten very early after TWICE BITTEN. We’ll never know as Mandrill broke up the pin. Then Rebel Empire came on really strong with Vendetta starring. Neither Twin Blood was coping too well with his power. However that’s when Mandrill spoilt things. Sleeze managing to scramble to what he thought was safety outside the ring. Only for Mandrill to start laying the boot in. The ref had zero tolerance for it. Mandrill was on a warning for his earlier interfence. So the DQ was called and Twin Blood chalks another win whilst Rebel Empire will no doubt plummet in the rankings. Mandrill responds to criticism for his actions by saying he wanted to give someone a good kicking and remind everyone that nobody messes with the Colonizers. Quite how he come to the conclusion that Twin Blood has wronged him down the line was a mystery.
Skinhead over Anarchy by DQ. Since graduating to the main spot on the team Skinhead hasn’t actually been super active. Apart from beating Terminus last month he hadn’t done a lot. We hope he hasn’t lapsed into his old partying habits. Such failure to stay in shape would be cruelly exposed by someone like Anarchy. Never got to find out though. After some early jousting Skinhead left the ring to discuss tactics with Johnny Rocket. Maleph decided to start dive bombing them. Johnny Rocket took cover under a table whilst Skinhead grabbed a chair as protection. The ref tried to stop this descending into a farce and ordered Maleph to leave the area. Instead Maleph flew at him and using his claws removed the referee’s toupee clean off his head. The embarrassed ref disqualified Anarchy before running off and leaving a replacement needing to be found for the final match of the night. Draconian Sheik and Tough Guy defeated Dark Justice and Mike Fortune on a count-out. This is one of those matches that has DQ outcome written all over it. Although before the brawling got going in earnest the team of Drac and Tough Guy had a really good run. Justice was taking all the bombardment and unable to get a tag out. After a while he was either getting thrown out or trying to get breathers. Either way he spent a lot of time outside the ring and virtually every time was subjected to something sinister by the Terrorists. Krakan was not much help in these situations. He was convinced the Terrorists were carrying blades under their robes and kept his distance. Eventually Justice got counted-out after Drac sent him through the ropes for the umpteenth time and he couldn’t recover. Mike Fortune tried to get him back in but Justice was a dead weight and couldn’t be lifted quickly enough to beat the count. Enigma is fortunate to beat Vengeance by DQ. Vengeance has struggled to get booked due to the murder allegations against him. However in recent weeks seems to be emerging from the shadows. A high profile coffin match against Dreadnaught (from which Vengeance is depressed that he failed to be the one to end Dreadnaught’s life) is now followed by a clash with Enigma. He does himself no favours though if he’s looking for further bookings. Relinquishing a position of total domination to trigger a brawl outside the ring where he took hold of a chair and smashed both Enigma and Johnny Rocket with it. After hearing the verdict he even appeared to take a swing at the referee. Thankfully missing. Maybe a warning shot. After that Vengeance left muttering under his breath “corrupt fed, everyone is against me”.
Tortured Soul beat Sir Ender with ease. Sir Ender trying to be his usual charming self. What few fans there were in attendance saw him trying to mingle and kiss damsels as he ventured into battle. He was given the brush off every time. Eventually he gives up and sets sights on Tortured Soul waiting in the ring proclaiming “no more time for romancing, now to vanquish this zombie”. Naturally Sir Ender got beaten senseless. Put himself in a bad spot almost immediately by clumsily missing a flying elbow smash. Tortured Soul pretty much took him apart after that. The torture probably felt like a lifetime to Sir Ender. In reality it was just a few minutes until it was over after ROTTING CLAW. Sir Ender looked a sorry mess after that but garnered little sympathy.
Ms. Liberty beats Serpentine in a close match. Ms. Liberty was surprised not to see Hunger come out with Serpentine. A rarity not to see the two Hellions together. Ms. Liberty is sure she will show up soon enough and tries to get the match done as soon as possible. Unfortunately she’s guilty of trying to force the issue too much. A clothesline against the ropes goes wrong and Ms. Liberty went flying outside. A really nasty fall. Not a good start and makes the opening minutes uncomfortable. Fortunately she recovers and they have a decent contest. Hunger never shows up although it doesn’t make Serpentine any less hardcore. I lost count of how many times she threw Ms. Liberty through the ropes. Her lack of a singles finisher proved a problem though and as a result the match lingered on and on. I was literally a couple of moves away from pulling the plug and declaring a time limit draw when Ms. Liberty out of nowhere pulled a counter and followed with THE LIBERATOR. It got her the win against the run of things. Was actually an unlucky 13 roll which should mean a lottery attack. However I decided against it as (a) Splatter is actually still suspended and (b) would even be sick enough to attack a woman with Arsenal?

CARD 1170 – LAVA PITS OF PRIMUS: Two title changes tonight. Shame it was on Primus in front of such a small crowd. It was a much better show all round though than the last one where the switches added excitement and it wasn’t blighted by lots of DQ outcomes. Plus we got one of the best matches I’ve ever rolled in the main event. My write up probably doesn’t do it nearly enough justice. Thunder beats the Code Enforcer in a match for the ages to become Heavyweight champ again. A chance to win the belt back straight away for Thunder. Not a popular decision as many feel the Gladiators get way too many title shots. Commando Sam is aware his personality is not winning his team as many fans as he’d like. As promised he tries to remedy that by waving a mash up of the American and Centran flags. Looks a bit of an abomination to be honest and fan response is lukewarm. There are not many of them on Primus anyway inside the makeshift rubble strewn arena. The heat rises a little though when Brute, who has been piling on the pounds, manages to grab hold of it and rip it off the pole. Then spits on it. That certainly makes Sam’s blood boil. He has a short fuse at the best of times and it serves to make him foolishly rush at Brute. Is met face first with the Aethran Casque and the full weight of Brute ruining his effectiveness in the match. The ref could do nothing to penalise as it was all before the bell and now the Code Enforcer would have to go it alone. Despite this handicap he wrestles an amazing match to try and keep a hold of the belt. Trouble was he was too caught up in the emotion of it all to wrestle smart. Time and again he spurned opportunities to roll outside for breathers when under intense pressure. He had to ride out quite an onslaught in the first third of the match and fatigue tokens accumulated. However he twice took advantage of Thunder trying risky deathjumps to throw him down and nearly got the win off the back of these with both finishers HEADS WILL ROLL and CODE CROWBAR following on. Thunder showed incredible resistance each time although he did also have to rely on a key distraction from Brute at one point. The Code Enforcer angrily knocked Brute off the ring apron with a shoulder blast but at the same time lost crucial momentum. Thunder started to build offence again after this. He looked to be finishing the stronger although in truth it could have gone either way as both guys shared ten tokens between them. One of those picked up by the Code Enforcer came after THE TEMPEST from Thunder. This spectacular move rarely fails Thunder but this time he was left exasperated by the Code Enforcer surviving by flinging him off powerfully when covering. The Code Enforcer at this point seemed like he might be hulking up or something as he forced himself to stand and began to scold Thunder. It fizzled almost as quickly as it started though. Thunder was on him with a Thunder Moonsault and although the pin attempt from this also failed an immediate follow up with a double underhook DDT led to another. This time there was no kick out from the Code Enforcer. Finally the tank was empty and Thunder was able to win what had been an absolute classic. He accepted the belt whilst Brute booted the Code Enforcer out the ring to join Commando Sam who was still out cold. Thunder methodically belted up and then left the ring showing little emotion whilst his signature heavy metal music played. Considering Sniper has also won the women’s title tonight a new era of Gladiator domination might just of dawned. Thrash finally ends the glorious reign of Sniper and becomes new ladies champion. Women’s wrestling is trendy again. Interest had been on the wane due to Sniper being so dominant. That’s part of the reason why some have stepped into the ring against males this year. However Thrash has shown a ferocious desire to end that domination. Just ask poor Supernova. She carries that on here and Sniper simply didn’t know what hit her. Nearly getting pinned right away after a Neck Thrasher. The next move was FEMME FATAL and it was over. Just 3 moves in and barely 30 seconds gone. What a way for the second longest title reign in the fed’s history to finish. Sniper looked crushed in the aftermath. Although she never discussed it the dream of reaching 100 cards holding the belt burned within. Instead she has to settle for 85 cards. A truly magnificent achievement though. Draconian Sheik savages Rising Sun to grab a count-out victory. Was pretty earth shattering for Rising Sun to lose the Heavyweight belt almost immediately a few weeks ago. He’s still trying to pick himself back up. Walking the gauntlet by taking on Drac and the Terrorists without Lord Nexus. Unfortunately Lord Nexus picked up an injury during the earlier Transformer-Titan Attack bout. His lack of confidence is very much in evidence and you cannot afford to be like that around Drac. Rising lets himself get embroiled in out of ring brawls too easily. The last of which saw him take a blow from an undisclosed object which left him struggling to get back. He looked like he might make it but just as he reached the apron one of the Terrorists pulled him back. The ref missed this as he had one eye on Drac. Rising did get his own back once recovered. Not very Titan like behaviour but he picked up a rock and in his frustration hurled it at Drac. Got him right between the eyes. Nobody thought too much of it although it did actually succeed in giving Drac a minor injury for 2 cards. This won’t lift Titan spirits though, overall it had been a bad night for the team. Terminus just about beats Ventross by DQ. Ventross is gearing up for a big meeting with Murdok but first must face Terminus. A guy who needs a win. Terminus just manages to achieve this. He was under cosh for the most part. However drew on his experience to coax the action outside of the ring. During the ensuing brawl Thantos does his stuff to distract the ref from the antics of Ventross whilst drawing attention to those of Ventross. It ensures his guy is able to pick up a fortunate victory.
Cygnus Strikeforce upset Desolation Factor. Despite early battering against US. Traitor in which he felt the force of RACKED AND RUINED and needed a pin save the Cygnus duo comes back. Getting good momentum against Ruin who was on the end of ANNIHILATOR EDGE and CYGNUS STRIKEFORCE one move after the other. Rack wasn’t able to save his partner and Desolation Factor slipped to a surprise defeat. Mangus brags that this was yet another won over his long standing rival Commando Sam. If it wasn’t for the fact Sam had to prepare for the main event later am sure he would have been up for some afters. Transformer win big against Titan Attack. You never quite know what you are going to get with Transformer. Sometimes they are uncoordinated and awful. However tonight they are monsters. Ursa Major made a promising start but once his offence broke down he was tossed around like a rag doll. Scion Nexus did his best to assist after Monad subjected him to QUADRUPLE CLAMP a couple of times. Ursa Major just couldn’t get the hot tag and his fatigue token count had risen to 6 by the time Nth Degree put him away with PIN USING ROPES. It’s a rare defeat for the Titan duo. One they’ll have to take on the chin. There was more bad news as Lord Nexus clashed with Monad during the match and picked up an injury that’ll put him out the rest of the show.

CARD 1171 – TERRONAUT TOWERS: Trisis showcase featuring the Code Enforcer … Starts with the Code Enforcer calling Thunder lucky for winning the Heavyweight belt and stating how he fully intends to win it back. Then Euritar comes out and they get into a heated argument. This escalates into an all out brawl and the studio gets pretty much destroyed. A dozen security wade in to diffuse the situation. By the end of it is clear that another meeting between these two is on the cards. Probably at forthcoming GALACTICON. The Code Enforcer clearly will need to abandon any immediate pursuit of the Heavyweight belt to deal with his main feud rival.
Centra champ, Tocsin, defends against Draconian Sheik with a DQ victory. Busy month for Drac as he wrestles for the third week in a row. Plus now he is carrying a minor injury. Not that Drac cares. Does he even know what’s going on half the time? Certainly gets very distracted by the glistening belt that gets paraded around. Following it with his eyes. Drac has been a champion before in its days of being the Interplanetary belt. Three times in fact but may not even remember that. As the belt gets taken away Drac changes focus to Tocsin who has dangerously turned his back to wave to the fans. Tocsin is loving his new found popularity and even has a cool new catchphrase “I reek of success”. His connecting with the fans gets broken up as Drac receives an instruction from the Terrorists and piles into him. Drac retches as he bites Tocsin’s ear and gets a toxic taste in his mouth. Tocsin is showing himself to be very capable since becoming a ROC member and battles back impressively. He’s showing the better offence and handling Drac’s wild nature well. The Terrorists are dangerous but they are not stupid. Holding back on getting involved unless absolutely necessary as they know the title cannot change hands on a DQ. That necessary moment eventually arrives as Drac’s mouth gets engulfed by those foul smelling hands of Tocsin again. As HAZARDOUS WASTE is applied Drac vomits inside his mouth and then passes out. Now the Terrorists steam in drawing the DQ and they repeatedly smash Tocsin with their billy clubs. There is no getting away for Tocsin as he gets trapped in a corner of the ring. However he escapes serious injury by the skin of his teeth. An unlikely ally in the form of Rising Sun comes to his rescue and he is then joined by Corporal Aegis and Max Shield. The trio force the Terrorists to back off and ensures Tocsin is safe. He doesn’t get away entirely scot free as he sustains a one card injury and with a match against Painmaster incoming on the next show that could be telling. Rumour is that Tocsin may be pressurised to put the belt in line for the second card in a row.
Corporal Aegis and Max Shield negotiate a stiff test from Theatre of Pain. A big cheer goes up as Phantast comes out with Aegis and Max. It’s not a match you’d expect to see him show up at. Maybe he’s just giving the Colonizers a visible reminder. Again he does very little other than observe. On paper the superstar duo of Aegis and Max should win comfortably. However that doesn’t always work well against established tag teams. We’ve seen plenty of these types of one off teams stumble over the years. Indeed the way Max was being mauled by Tragedy in the early stages suggested that might happen here. Fortunately he manages to get out the line of fire with a tag and Aegis steadies the ship. Aegis starts to really crank into gear after a while. Opening Salvo among other moves leave a big mark on Comedy. He then uses CORPORAL PUNISHMENT for the second time in the match. First time a pin save from Tragedy interrupted a likely win. Second time though Max headed Tragedy off and Aegis was able to get the pin which always goes down well with the fans.
Genocide defeated Splatter by DQ. A wild match. No backstory, I just felt like booking it. Genocide storms through the curtain as Splatter was heading down the runway. Catching him with a bulldog along the way. What a way to begin. Splatter eventually got into the ring looking extremely groggy and it got worse as he was then planted into each and every turnbuckle. Then just a few moves later Genocide crashed into him with CORPUS GENOCIDE. Looking like this would all be over very quickly. Especially when Krakan’s distraction attempt gets completely ignored. Splatter then shocks everyone by kicking out of Genocide’s cover to become part of a rare breed that has survived it. As Genocide angrily smashes his fists into the canvas Splatter rolls himself under the bottom rope. He’s in awful shape and probably thinks ‘sod this’ as he reaches for Arsenal and waits it out. Then takes a swing when Genocide comes for him. That caused the DQ. Lorelei warns Genocide to back off just in case he gets badly hurt. Unusually for Genocide he listens and lets Splatter stumble away with Krakan. Warfare stunned Mandrill. Huge chance for Warfare to make a name for himself. Getting hands on Mandrill himself. Of course Trench supplants himself into it as he replaces Rouser as the ringside companion. Immediately having an influence as he gets on the apron and argues with Warfare. Allows Mandrill to smash Warfare from behind and bring him to one knee. Despite this handicap Warfare battles back and refuses to be overawed. It’s not a great spectacle with a lack of impactful moves. Warfare manages to win after a backwards head slam. Trench was sheepish as he’d not interfered. The move didn’t look threatening enough. Mandrill fumed in the aftermath and refuses to accept he lost. Blaming a corrupt ref and also that Phantast must of put a spell on him because he’d felt light headed as soon as the bell rang.
Rigel Warriors overcame Animen Invasion. Lance continues the team despite no tangible benefit. They did post a shock win over Theatre of Pain a couple of months ago but that was all Lance’s doing and since then on dark shows they have lost many matches easily. However they had a pretty good chance of getting another win here considering they were facing another undercard duo. Lance started off and put the team in a good position. Meteor picked up the baton and actually did alright. Kept on the offensive. Lacked a finishing touch though. Eventually handed back off to Lance who got Son of Ram pinned after an Atlas World Beater.
Amazonia pinned Tortured Soul. Rumours rife that a match between Amazonia and Wolf is in the works. First though she takes on the eerie Tortured Soul. The credibility of such a match happening though gets heightened by Wolf appearing on the runway midway through to observe his old flame in action. Sadly he plays with flames of a different kind now. At times he looked to be getting into an attack pose ready to strike only to suddenly relax his body. Finally he snarled and left. He missed a lot. Amazonia really giving Tortured Soul a run for his/its money. Her agility helped a lot. However she was struggling in the power stakes. Losing momentum after meeting Tortured Soul shoulder to shoulder and going down. Soon after she had to endure the disgusting taste of ROTTING CLAW. Held on though and found a second offensive wave where she threw Tortured Soul off the top turnbuckle and almost won after THE WARRIOR’S SHIELD. It put vital damage on Tortured Soul and although quite a few more minutes passed she was eventually able to launch RUNNING SABRE to get the win. Maleph went crazy over the embarrassment and warned Amazonia would now have to face the full wrath of Brymstone. So maybe that means matches against Wolf, Anarchy and Blazing Skull are now all incoming. Very dangerous but exactly what she wants having now got their full attention.

CARD 1172 – FRIDAY NIGHT FEVER – CENTRA PALLADIUM: A high amount of special matches adorn the show. Mostly Nightmare Matrix matches due to their popularity. Fans loving that Rouser has been forced into one. Although they’d of preferred he was getting beaten up by a ROC member. He managed to dodge that. Hopefully Supernova would be able to do the business against him. Tag champs, Twin Blood, stroll to victory against the Betrayers. Twin Blood were big favourites to extend their record breaking run (which is now at 69 cards) against surprise top contenders the Betrayers. Dragonmaster on commentary warns them not to become too cocky “I remember that previous record reign by Brute and Massacre like it was yesterday. They looked unbeatable and then suddenly it all ended against Eastern Dynasty who they were expected to steamroll”. Despite the importance of the match nobody was at ringside with the Betrayers. Rouser’s time inside the Nightmare Matrix having left him shaken and hurt to prevent him doing his normal duty. Johnny Rocket still looked suspicious though and was constantly scanning the surroundings during the course of the contest. There was immediate action as Dreggs and Wraith went toe to toe. Dreggs very quickly got into a run of L3O moves and gave Wraith very little opportunity to use his superior power. The frustration inside Wraith led to him seeking to tag out at the first opportunity. Which was quite a while as Twin Blood maintained control of the match for a long time. When Trench finally entered they backed off and conversed. It was evident by the smiles and back slapping that they were supremely confident of dealing with Trench. In their minds Wraith was the danger man and they’d just wiped the floor with him. Unsurprisingly they didn’t give Trench the slightest sniff of any offence. Dreggs giving him a wrestling lesson before going for a speculative attempt at victory via DREGGS OF DEFEAT. It wasn’t enough but when Dreggs handed off for the tag the end seemed near. Sleeze set in motion their tag finisher TWICE BITTEN and then as Dreggs covered he made sure to meet the onrushing Wraith with a spectacular head scissors to foil the pin save. It had just been so so easy.
Painmaster beats Tocsin in a Cosmic Cage match to reclaim the Centra belt. Another meeting between the two former partners. Given the intensity of the feud it’s been turned into a title match. Much to the annoyance of Tocsin who has already defended the belt this month and picked up an injury in the process. Anyways last time they met Tocsin shocked Painmaster to win the Centra belt (or Colonizer belt as it was then called). Painmaster said he won’t be able to repeat that in a cage which is his speciality. Things were set to get ugly. Tocsin entered the cage second and went nose to nose with his old partner. Painmaster did well to withstand that breath. Curled his nose a little is all. Maybe he became desensitised to it after years of being partnered with Tocsin. The crowd is well into it with lots of ‘Tocsin reeks of success’ banners being waved. His popularity is a huge surprise. The early exchanges were messy. If they weren’t trying to throw each other into the cage sides they were trying to make pointless dashes to escape that were never going to come off. Unfortunately as time ticked on it looked likely Painmaster would eventually get the better of things. Tocsin showed great heart to survive numerous escape attempts. Even valiantly recovering after THE TORTURE RACK. Painmaster kept at it and won after a guillotine leg drop had finally done enough to keep his smelly former partner down long enough to get out. As Painmaster grabbed the belt and left the scene there were fears that the Colonizers might rebrand the belt again. Although Commissioner Morpheus has moved fast to warn that any such move might lead to Painmaster being stripped of the title. Wolf gets the better of Blade in a Nightmare Matrix match. Could Blade spring a surprise? He was being brave to enter the matrix against Wolf who has been almost unbeatable in them. It didn’t take long for the mind tricks to start. Blade was desperately trying to dodge switchblades coming at him from all directions. They looked so real. Wolf tried to pounce upon him at the same time with his claw. Despite the horrifying hallucination Blade evades the move. Muscle memory to the rescue rather than any real awareness. Nonetheless Wolf collided with the turnbuckle and it was now his turn to suffer disturbing images. Enemies past and present flashed before his eyes. Wolf lunged forward as the final image settled on Amazonia with her sword raised threateningly but he went right through her and collided with the opposite turnbuckle. Now was the time for Blade to make things count. Trouble was anytime one of them had big chances to take control something would happen to them. We had moments of paralysis and complete darkness also occurring in the match. As things went on it seemed that Wolf was dealing with things better. Blade began to look emotionally and physically drained. Wolf was able to get some sustained offence going and for a couple of minutes the matrix behaved itself. It ended with him getting SAVAGE FACE CLAW on and Blade couldn’t fight it. In keeping with his new heel persona Wolf kept the hold locked in longer than necessary despite Blade already been declared beaten. Wolf later justifies his punishment of Blade by saying “I have heard in my absence the snot nosed kid has been making advances on Amazonia, he deserved everything he got”. Archon defeats Daeman in a long Nightmare Matrix match. Archon is still undefeated in Nightmare Matrix matches. Nobody was expecting that run to end against Daeman who is very much a tag specialist. However Daeman fared very well and could even of won a couple times due to IRON HAND. One particular near miss was set in motion by Archon taking a big risk with a top rope move. Daeman wasn’t hurt enough and got a foot up which was buried into the torso of the falling Archon. That took a big toll and Archon was constantly covering his abdomen for protection after that. Trouble was the hallucinations prevented an upset victory occurring. Daeman suffered multiple dizzy spells which allowed Archon to slowly get back into it. Finally managing to get onto his L3O where he can be difficult to stop. Archon puts a few submission holds onto Daeman and then tries again with THE RIOT ACT (it had failed for him early on). Daeman pinged into the turnbuckle with tremendous force and Archon gratefully pinned him to keep his incredible run inside the matrix going. Rouser downs Supernova in a Nightmare Matrix match. It’s become a guilty pleasure of the fans to watch Rouser getting beaten up by women. He made a fatal error at the very start by wolf whistling Supernova as she came down the runway. She immediately ran into the matrix and caught him in a headlock that he couldn’t get of. It was obvious then even with the women’s conversion chart in use Supernova was still way stronger. Things started well enough and Supernova was kicking him all over the ring. Only way Rouser could stay in it was to keep trying to wriggle out of the ring. Then the dreaded matrix springs into action. Casting distressing images for Supernova as she sees her family that she misses so much. Her father, Omega, appears before her offering an embrace only to suddenly change facial expression and contort with rage. Supernova cowers in a corner as Omega stands before her ready to strike only to mysteriously fade. Her stress levels were off the charts and she looked close to tears. Rouser takes full advantage to use a Protest Piledriver and then comes the scummy SMASH WITH SIGN move. Not once, not twice but three times in all. Supernova was in such a state although tried her best to survive these. Ultimately she couldn’t withstand all those hits and got pinned. Rouser leapt around excitedly and didn’t want anyone to help Supernova. Medical personnel easily overpowered him and got to Supernova who was groggy and shaking like a leaf. They administered some pills to calm her down and then escorted her away. There was one collapse halfway down the runway before they were able to get her back up and out of sight. Ventross handed Murdok his first pin fall loss. Ventross still being selected for special duties by Corporal Aegis. This scouting mission was a dangerous one. Phantast made a second consecutive appearance at ringside. Once again he didn’t do much other than observe and Murdok showed very little interest in him. Murdok was not very impressive in this match but his undead form gives him an uncanny ability to take a beating and come back strong. Ventross using his greater wrestling experience to initially dominate and dish out his devastating finisher. He was left in shock as Murdok literally powered out the pin attempt before the ref had even reached one. We then see a response of furious offence from Murdok until he then inexplicably runs out of steam. Ventross knocks Murdok out the ring as if settling for a count-out only to see him come back just in time. So then goes for SEVERED TIES again which takes some doing against someone the size of Murdok. This time it has the desired outcome and makes him the first wrestler to be able to pin Murdok. It was another strong singles outing for Ventross and rumour is that he may get pushed to go after a single belt. Only problem is he’s probably best suited for the Centra belt and Tocsin occupies that (for now). Also this might seriously upset the moody Rankor who isn’t in a great mood anyway. Remember how Rankor got totally destroyed by Murdok only last month. It is already very clear who is the better of the two Ravagers. Malice and Overkill obliterated Animen Invasion. From a title match to this. Not sure the Gladiators are too happy to be facing the Animen again. Unfortunately this iteration of the Gladiators tag team has repeatedly come up short. They have to build again if they want to get anywhere challenging for the titles. Nothing less than a dominant win here would do and to be fair to them they delivered just that. Antak became their plaything. Would surely of been pinned after UNSTOPPABLE FORCE save for a pin saving distraction from Son of Ram which actually got him into bother with Overkill and nearly saw his horns being snapped off. Antak won’t have thanked his partner for that because the next thing to come his way was FIELDS OF MALICE. No getting up after that. Not far short of being regarded as a total squash.
Vyper downs Lance At-Las after a prolonged beating. Vyper spends most of the match wary of a lottery attack. Although he has the protection of the Terrorists he also places a large snake at the base of the runway to put Splatter off. Knowing that Splatter is not actually very comfortable with them and always kept a safe distance when they were together as a team. Was probably also done to bother Lance At-Las. Lance doesn’t bat on eyelid though. During his nomadic life he’s seen and encountered many strange creatures. Initially Lance was setting the pace but then defeated himself by taking too long to go for his more impactful moves. Vyper grew into it and then turned it into total domination. At one point Lance’s head was hanging off the apron. Too good an opportunity for the Terrorists to miss as they strangled and beat upon him whilst Vyper diverted the ref’s attention. There was only going to be one winner although Lance must take credit for hanging on as long as he did. Especially as he was subjected to VYPER’S SIDESHOW three times during the course of the match.

GWFC REPORT (THE END 2111 CARDS 1169 - 1172)
Champions * GWFC Heavyweight Champ: Thunder (Top Contender: Skinhead) * GWFC Tag Champs: Twin Blood (Top Contenders: Transformer/Cygnus Strikeforce) * GWFC Centra Champ: Painmaster (Top Contender: Archon) * GWFC Ladies Champ: Thrash (Top Contender: Ms. Liberty) Latest News:
Thunder is the Heavyweight champion again after winning one of the best matches of all time over the Code Enforcer. This time the Gladiators vow not to make the same mistake as last time. Gang attacks will be the norm in his title defences any time there is any threat. Of course this can be circumnavigated by special matches but until this happens the Gladiators will be doing this and they are being very open about the intention. This wasn’t the only title they won as Thrash ended Sniper’s incredible run with the ladies belt. It was sad that the record reign of 85 cards ended on such a crushing defeat. Over in just 3 moves. Sniper tried to be gracious in defeat “it’s been an exhausting run as the champion, all the extra responsibilities take their toll so I am not sure if I’ll be trying to win the belt back straight away. Thrash showed she is great rival and deserving champion. I wasn’t ready for the way she started and offer my congratulations”. Thrash, in true Gladiator style reacted with “she can shove her congratulations up her backside, the Gladiators are superior to all other races and the way I destroyed her proves it”.
Another GALACTICON looms. It’s a bit of a special one as it’s the 25th one. Naturally the defence of the Heavyweight belt will headline the show as it usually does. Thunder will go up against Skinhead. However most interest is on the first Murdok-Corporal Aegis meeting being announced. Murdok is looking hot as we move towards them squaring off despite just suffering his first pin fall loss when facing Ventross. It will be a lumberjack match. It’s actually overshadowed the ROC-Colonizers feud as it was assumed there would be another big team match between them. However the GWFC sees more value in Aegis facing Murdok supported by lumberjacks. Quite who they are going to get to accompany the terrifying Murdok is interesting. Guess it’ll probably be the Colonizers although cannot see Mandrill getting his hands dirty. That’s not to say there won’t be any ROC-Colonizer matches in the undercard. The Ravagers are set to face Rebel Empire in a Hardcore Titan Death match. This booking indicates that the predicted singles push of Ventross might not happen just yet. On the countdown show Corporal Aegis will warm up for GALACTICON by facing that turncoat Trench. Plus Max Shield faces longtime nemesis Mandrill one-on-one. Max needs to stop underperforming and deliver. Mandrill will also have another meeting with Warfare before all of that. Can Warfare upset him again and really elevate himself in the rankings? Some people think Warfare has ‘huge’ potential. A similar hulking replacement to Genocide but without all the unpredictability and baggage that comes with it. Only time will tell. Another big match that will happen next month is Amazonia facing Wolf. We never thought such a thing possible. Will Wolf really want to hurt her? The human inside him will surely be hesitant but his animal side might take over. He then goes straight from this into a huge match up against forever enemy Mayhem at GALACTICON which will be given the special match treatment. Just not decided on what type it’ll be. Splatter will be in major focus too as his feud with Vyper gets ugly in a Circinus Cell match. Prior to that he’ll have to contend with the returning Pegasus who’ll be looking for revenge. His injuries should be healed in the nick of time. There is too much to mention it all here. Just be assured it’ll be another classic event.
The programmers of the Nightmare Matrix have received a rap on the knuckles for allowing Supernova’s family issues to become part of the spectacle. Doctors warned the stress levels are too high after she had to be hospitalised for a day as a result of the images. Her brother, Bloodline, showed no concern and even poked fun on Centra Spacebook as it exposed how mentally weak she is which is a trait he despises. The big benefactor was Rouser who got a shocking win over Supernova. He is now bragging endlessly about it. Hopefully Supernova can bounce back to put him back in his place. Although Rouser is slippery and will try to avoid a rematch.
Commando Sam is persisting with the American-Centran flag waving gimmick. He calls Brute’s treatment of it unforgivable and says the people of Centra should be insulted by what happened. Of course it is yet another despicable act by the Gladiators although it is clearly an attempt by Sam to drum up support for the FDF and his cause. His team is well behind the ROC in terms of popularity and it rankles him. Although it must be said Sam and his team do have their ‘ultra’ fans that get behind them. The FDF is a bit like marmite, either you love them or loathe them.
Sadly Painmaster took advantage of injuries to Tocsin to reclaim the Centra belt. Thankfully that nonsense rebranding of it to the Colonizer belt doesn’t seem to be a thing this time around. Mandrill seems to be consumed with kissing Murdok’s ass at the minute. Although who knows what the Colonizers might do in the future. The first threat to his belt will be Archon. INJURED – Pegasus (2); SUSPENDED – none WRESTLER OF THE MONTH: WARFARE - Was given no chance against Mandrill yet he wrestled smart and played to his strengths to chalk up a major win. With his size and power could become a real asset to the ROC and also a juggernaut within the fed. Needs to try and follow this up with back to back wins over Mandrill now. TAG TEAM OF THE MONTH: TWIN BLOOD - Two in a row. Plus when you factor how many other ones they’ve won it is in danger of becoming monotonous. But how can you deny a team what they deserve? They get into the ring and deliver every single time with the Betrayers as latest victims. Just an incredible tag team.
