CARD 1173 – TERRONAUT TOWERS: Mandrill gets a modicum of revenge over Warfare. Can Warfare do the unthinkable and beat Mandrill again to continue taking major strides? Clearly Mandrill was unimpressed with Trench as he’s not let him be at ringside this time. The plan was to have Rouser back but the irritant got so beaten up by Thrash in his last match that he’s missing in action. So Mandrill is on his lonesome. He nearly suffers a total humiliation as Warfare comes out the traps fast. Almost pinning Mandrill in under 2 minutes after a Centra Spinebuster. Just one number away. Mandrill scrambles to get a foothold and a scummy low blow slows Warfare down. After that Mandrill gradually gets more control and the Voltaic Stunner helped send Warfare’s pin rating dangerously high. With Warfare now vulnerable to any pin attempt Mandrill goes for COLONIZER CLAW SLAM and secures the win. Warfare may of lost but comes out of this with great credit. Cygnus Strikeforce easily beat Transformer. A title shot with Twin Blood awaits the winner. Both teams have had chances in the recent past too. It’s not really been expected but no tag team can consistently get it together to challenge thus opening the door for unfancied teams like these again. Maybe Titan Attack are the exception although they keep finding their chances limited as Lord Nexus isn’t keen to ruffle feathers and risk triggering a feud with another heroic team. Anyway enough about them, this is about these two teams. Both ironically human haters. Doomsayer stokes things up by calling Cygnus hypocritical for allowing US. Traitor to defect “he is not to be trusted and you can never change the fact he has human blood”. So things suitably charged up ahead of the bell. So much so that when Traitor enters the action after about a dozen moves he has a real point to prove. Nth Degree is all over the place against him and gets caught with a catapult splash and pinned. Doomsayer looked pretty shocked that his team had been turned over so easy and probably regretted his comments. Team With No Name handled Rigel Warriors. Don’t laugh but the Rigel Warriors have been promised a title shot if they can win this. It would mean they’ve won three televised matches against varying strength opponents in a row despite their less than stellar record on dark shows. Winning on TV holds much more credence. Meteor looks very nervous as a result. His hands are shaking. At least we were all hoping it was down to nerves and not the result of a recent binge on some of the bad stuff he is hooked on. The two Jesters picked up on as soon as they arrived and were in fits of laughter. They paid for their disrespect as Lance At-Las smashed their heads together. Unfortunately Lance couldn’t do it all on his own. Meteor wasn’t really up to it though and Lance effectively wrestles a handicap match. Took some pretty brutal punishment and was eventually finished by A DEAD MAN’S VERSE. Meteor didn’t even try to free Lance from the ropes. Just stood idly by as if in a daze. Thrash crushed Rouser in 4 moves. Rouser is fresh off beating Supernova and now goes after Thrash. Dares the championship committee to make it a title match for the ladies belt but met with stonewall silence. Thrash still wanted to wrestle him and snap his scrawny neck. Unthinkably the crowd are getting behind an Aethran. That shows just how irritating Rouser is. Thrash doesn’t disappoint. First move she wins a strength test and a mere 3 moves later wins it via FEMME FATAL. Rouser later tries to save face by posting on Centra Spacebook “I’m a gentleman, I let her win”. Mutant defeated Amazonia by DQ. Amazonia prepares for the much awaited meeting with Wolf by taking on the wild Mutant. It is led down by Krakan on a chain and blissfully ignorant of what was to come. Some kind of instinct kicks in as soon as it sees Amazonia as it starts to moan and tug at the chain so as to get it her. Probably saw her as lunch. It’s no secret that Krakan often starves Mutant before matches to make it even more dangerous than it usually is. Ends up being quite a short match. Mutant’s early attacks are warded off and Amazonia gets on the offensive. Too much eagerness though as she strikes Mutant with THE WARRIOR’S SHIELD. The ref thought about letting it go until Krakan complained loudly about her conduct and inhumane treatment of Mutant. Very hypocritical statement! Murdok gives Sir Ender a mauling. Sir Ender truly is a piece of work. He is almost banned permanently from wrestling after being traced to betting against himself in this match. Trying to make a quick buck. It’s only the fact he provides such comedy value that he gets let off with a warning. His bet is of course refused. This immediately came out in the wash and the crowd teases him. One guy is off camera and heard teasing “I bet that you sh*t your pants in less than a minute”. As it turns out Sir Ender lasts several minutes. He pretty much gets dominated the entire time but Murdok has a bit of trouble with POWER OF PLAGUE. Took 3 attempts at different junctures to get it won. The first one Sir Ender remarkably kicked out of, second one was a miss. However the third when it came was devastating (+5) and nobody is getting up from that.

CARD 1174 – CENTRA PALLADIUM: Ladies champ, Thrash, wins a close one over Ms. Liberty. Thrash laughs as Ms. Liberty arrived in the ring. Not understanding why this weak and old woman believes she can take the title. Ms. Liberty would dearly love to upset her though. Whilst she has managed to capture the ladies belt a couple of times in the past she’s never successfully defended it. When that happens the GWF (or GWFC) refuses to recognise you as a champion in its lineage. Of course unofficial lists exist that have all winners but it somewhat tarnishes the achievement if the fed won’t recognise it. Thrash could do with building a strong reign herself. Compared with her chief rivals she’s not the most decorated of wrestlers and is often considered a failure by her fellow Gladiators. Women have little respect as it is among their race. Fortunately it’s a succesful defence tonight but she very nearly stumbles. Ms. Liberty gives it a real go and looked like she might pull off an upset after THE LIBERATOR. When it didn’t deliver the victory Ms. Liberty ran out of steam having put so much into getting to that point. Once fully on top Thrash delivers a furious offence. Even when her feared FEMME FATAL came up short she had a pretty good back up move with a Neck Thrasher which closes out the win. All Ms. Liberty had to show for her huge effort was a bloody face after being viciously nail raked during the latter stages. US. Traitor couldn’t resist making things worse for Ms. Liberty by cruelly posting on Centra Spacebook afterwards “Thrash may of messed her face up a bit but it’s not the worst she’s ever looked” and with that accompanied a close up of Ms. Liberty on their wedding day with some clever photoshopping to make her look less than flattering. Malice and Overkill raise their game to beat Titan Attack. The Gladiators wanted to wrestle a powerful team ahead of their facing Desolation Factor at GALACTICON to prepare. They were very unimpressed that Titan Attack is served up. Of course Titan Attack are largely accepted as the second best team around behind Twin Blood. However the Gladiators have zero respect for them. Athletic hard working teams are no fun to wrestle or should I say to brawl with. That gets proven at the start as the two Titans are all over Overkill. Working together to cause the big man frustration and fatigue accumulation. Overkill eventually manages to slow things down when he catches Ursa Major when attempting a body press and slams him down. Ursa Major then barely survives a very difficult couple of minutes as he is subjected to TURNBUCKLE TRAP, UNSTOPPABLE FORCE and FIELDS OF MALICE in three consecutive moves. Only Scion Nexus making daring pin saves keeps him alive. However it’s clear Ursa Major was now pretty much done. He got a defensive tag but Scion Nexus was left on his own. Scion battles hard. It’s just too much to cope with though. He eventually falls victim to UNSTOPPABLE FORCE himself and that was that. Euritar over Grovel. Euritar could be forgiven for having the forthcoming meeting with the Code Enforcer at GALACTICON on his mind. His sluggish start suggested so. At the same time Lorelei was having a tough time trying to direct Grovel from ringside. It was very wild and almost started attacking the ref at one point. Reynard B. Guile was complaining the whole time and urging the ref to “grow a pair and disqualify that thing”. Lorelei then got a crowd cheer as she came up behind B. Guile and snatched off his top hat. When he whined at her to give it back she retorted “why don’t you grow a pair” and proceeded to put her fist through the top of it. Entertaining sideshow whilst inside the ring it served to distract Grovel. Euritar took advantage of this and used HEADS WILL ROLL. Grovel mustered a movement that the ref saw as a kick out. Euritar then repeated the move and got the pin. Rising Sun defeated Splatter by DQ. Splatter thought he would be mauling Meteor tonight but Rising Sun steps in. Lord Nexus exclaims “Meteor is suffering a fever”. DM on commentary wonders whether that’s true “I think Lord Nexus is doing this for Meteor’s own protection”. Splatter doesn’t complain. He has never cared who he faces although Krakan was trying to be difficult and claiming the match should be forfeited. When the match does eventually start Rising Sun absolutely bosses it. SUPER DRAGON DROP twice in the first three moves testament to that. Splatter just about evades humiliating loss. However he cannot get anything going. In the end Krakan’s attacking of Rising Sun outside the ring spares Splatter’s blushes a little as it means he only suffers a DQ loss. Not good for your ranking but Splatter is the type to consider being disqualified almost as good as winning. Ninja Assassins catch the Code Enforcer and Archon cold. Interesting match as the two singles FDF stars link up. They both have huge matches coming at GALACTICON. With Euritar also on the bill later you could be sure he would be watching the Code Enforcer with great interest and hoping the Ninja Assassins do a number on him. They didn’t quite do that although a dent in his confidence may of been dealt. The Code Enforcer was looking pretty strong in the match and had dealt HEADS WILL ROLL to Hydrax during a period in the ascendancy. Trouble is he let Hydrax off the hook a bit and a well timed spinwheel kick caught him cold. The dreaded snake eyes roll came up. Mike Fortune too strong for the Soulwatcher. Decent opener. The Soulwatcher still enjoying a cult following who make themselves heard as comes out. He doesn’t disgrace himself. Didn’t really get much offence but proved very tough to beat. In the end Fortune needed a second go with THE HANGMAN to get the job done.

CARD 1175 – COUNTDOWN TO GALACTICON – TERRONAUT TOWERS: Tag champs, Twin Blood, dig deep to see off Cygnus Strikeforce. The superlatives just keep coming for Twin Blood. This marked their 72nd card as champions and nobody was giving Cygnus Strikeforce much chance of stopping them. When you consider this reign and the fact they’ve also won 2 out the last 3 ONLY THE BEST tag tournaments you cannot really argue against them being the best of all time. Dreggs said of the team before this “it’s true that twins have a connection, we just seem to know what the other is doing and it makes teaming together very easy”. He refused to get drawn on whether they could soon go onto win a third OTB trophy or break 100 cards as champions by saying “one match at a time”. It’s a bit tougher to rein Johnny Rocket in though. He comes out ahead of everyone else to announce Twin Blood and proclaims “please be upstanding for their tag team champions and the greatest team ever who will soon make history for breaking the 100 card barrier as champions”. It was a bit embarrassing though because Cygnus Strikeforce were due to be announced first and they were the ones who came through the curtain after that. Johnny went red faced before turning on the official ring announcer “why didn’t you tell me?” Anyway they eventually got both teams out there and the title match could commence. Johnny’s earlier mishap had done nothing to quieten his microphone antics down and he was being a real windup merchant to Mangus throughout. Even Mangus threatening to brand Johnny’s bottom should Cygnus Strikeforce win didn’t shut him up. Luckily for Johnny this doesn’t become an issue as Twin Blood comes through with the win. They hard to work damned hard for it though. Cygnus Strikeforce and US. Traitor in particular had more than enough offence in the match. Traitor used his TURNCOAT FLYER several times on Dreggs. If it just had a bit more potency it might of led to an upset. Of course Twin Blood had lots of big moments themselves. They laid siege to Maelstrom for several minutes and were pretty ticked off they couldn’t finish him off. It felt like the pendulum was swinging back and forth with no way of knowing which team might prevail. All of them looked pretty beat up (apart from maybe Sleeze). The closing sequence was quite dramatic as Dreggs was getting a torrid time off Traitor again. Then suddenly after being whipped into the ropes he was able to put the brakes on and stun Traitor with a piledriver. Dreggs quickly followed up with Nuclear Charge and went for the pin. Mangus knew Traitor was in big trouble and tried to storm the ring. He didn’t get very far as Dreggs caused a big cheer by leaping up and knocking him flying out the ring with a drop kick. Mangus fell through the ropes and landed in a heap next to Johnny Rocket who was laughing his head off at the sight of this. Dreggs didn’t hang around and got straight back on Traitor with TWIST AND SHOUT. Traitor was so weak and barely conscious that the ref didn’t even wait for the tap out or quit call. He decided to stop the match. Twin Blood had done it again. Not at their best though still able to win. What a team. Centra champ, Painmaster, beats Archon in a Cosmic Cage match. The fans wanted Tocsin to get a rematch and weren’t too happy Archon got the nod. Doesn’t really help that Archon (or the entire FDF) is struggling to connect with the fans due to their extreme code driven morals. However cannot be denied Archon has earned this. Aside from a bad FDF debut in the opening card of the year he has been excellent. Getting the title of master of the matrix along the way. Shame this wasn’t a Nightmare Matrix match. Unfortunately it was a Cosmic Cage match instead which seems to be where Painmaster excels. There is relief when Painmaster troops out and the belt doesn’t look like it’s been tampered with this time around. Upon entering the cage Archon didn’t give Painmaster much time to settle and was straight on him. Painmaster hadn’t even had a chance to unbelt as he was thrust into the cage sides. It only came loose as Archon removed the belt and disrespectfully tossed it somewhere in the direction of the door so he could get his ARCHON SLEEPER CLAMP on. Painmaster needed to do something quick as Archon’s submission style threatened to eat away at his energy reserves. In a brilliant defensive move he managed to drop his entire body whilst reaching up. The result was Archon’s lower jaw impacting the top of Painmaster’s head (sorry don’t know what such a move might be called). After this clever escape Painmaster came alive and it was game on. They were very evenly matched for a good while. Archon wanted to always get close to Painmaster only to be mostly be kept at arms length. It was this desperation to get in close that proved his undoing. He left himself open for a knee to the crotch. As he crumpled Painmaster moved in with THE TORTURE RACK. It looked like Archon’s arms might get pulled off. He had no way of breaking free. Painmaster held it in a long time before satisfying himself that Archon was suitably immobilised not to prevent him escaping the cage. He called it right. Upon release Archon could barely move and Painmaster, who always chooses the quickest and easiest way out, was able to casually walk out to continue his title run. Mandrill buried Max Shield in a Centra Coffin match. Max is paired to meet Wraith at GALACTICON proper but the spectre of Mandrill always hangs over him. They’ve already crossed paths tonight and now Mandrill takes delight in bragging how apt the Coffin stipulation is “Max’s career died long ago and closing that lid upon him will symbolise that”. Max bravely retorts “talk is cheap, I hope you can deal with claustrophobia as you’ll soon be plunged into darkness, better hope somebody cares enough to reopen that lid when it closes”. Tough talk but you got to back it up and Max seemed to be doing so with a lightening start. He thrills the crowd with THE OMICRON FORCE twice in the space of a minute. Probably could of connected a bit better on both though. Then makes a big error of trying to stick Mandrill in the coffin too early. It’s not the sort of match you can win quickly. As Max tries Mandrill pulls him in and rams the lid down hard across the head. The tide had turned in an instant. Mandrill is ridiculously brutal as he brings Max’s pin rating up to 10 in no time at all by using his finishers, Voltaic Stunner and also the coffin itself. Max resisted a couple attempts to put him into the coffin and mustered a few weak fight backs. They were only brief though and Mandrill was always in control. Eventually Max was so beaten up that he was walking around aimlessly in the ring. Mandrill came up behind and blasted him with a big atomic drop. Max went down and then appeared to roll willingly into the coffin. Maybe he didn’t know where he was or maybe it was done on purpose to end the suffering. Either way it was an odd ending. Sadly it was another big blow to Max’s confidence. Trying to look on the bright side is maybe in a normal match he could have won. His early hits with THE OMICRON FORCE might of led to pin falls. The nature of this match had made them less effective. Although this is clutching at straws. Suffice to say this meant the ROC have had a real bad night with both Max and Corporal Aegis losing. Wolf holds nothing back in beating Amazonia. Finally it happens. Wolf was ready to give everything. He wasn’t going to be humiliated by losing to Amazonia. As Amazonia comes through the curtain a planned setup happens. Maleph swoops and catches her by surprise. Her sword is snatched from her grasp. Thankfully she manages to keep possession of her shield. However she then gets pounced upon from behind by Wolf. Lorelei tried to yell ‘watch out’ but it was too late. Wolf was with the upper hand early. He was in no hurry to get Amazonia into the ring. Was this a Falls Count Anywhere match except nobody had told anyone? Certainly would of been a cool booking idea. Instead after several minutes chaos the ring announcer warns the combatants that they have 10 seconds to reach the ring or it will be called off. The race was on. Wolf reached the ring first. Amazonia despite having to deal with Maleph trying to slow her down just about makes it too. Wolf had the high ground though and is able to continue his early domination. Amazonia has to hold on through this and by sheer force of will starts to impose herself after a few minutes. Gradually she has more and more offence. Everyone is behind her and it must be said DM on commentary is beyond excited as he shouts “go Amazonia, this could be the biggest result in the history of wrestling”. Even Maleph is worried as he attacks Amazonia a couple of times when she was outside. Wolf escaped disqualification though. I think the ref feared he might get lynched if ended the match like that. Maybe if it wasn’t for Maleph it might of ended differently. Wolf was able to build a strong momentum after one particular swoop left Amazonia colliding with the ring post. Not long after Wolf was able to apply SAVAGE FACE CLAW and the way his face was screwed up suggested he was putting more force into it than he’s ever done. Lorelei tried to get on the ring apron and disturb Wolf. Nothing doing and Maleph soon cleaned her out anyway. Amazonia bravely tried to withstand and blood started to drip down her face from her forehead and temples. After about a minute she started to pass out and Wolf laid her down in a pinning position with the hold still in place. The ref made the count and finally Wolf released. Amid deafening boos he left without a second glance or concern for Amazonia. Trench stunned Corporal Aegis after getting lots of help. Aegis has an inkling something might happen to him without protection. So he arranges for Warfare to join him at ringside. This drives Trench nuts. He looks over at what he’s got which is Rouser. No comparison and threatens to take a walk citing unfairness. He doesn’t get very far as Warfare grabs him and presses him back into the ring. Rouser tries to smash him with his sign as he was doing so. It just breaks across Warfare’s back. When Warfare finishes pitching Trench back he turns to focus on Rouser who sh*ts himself and runs off screaming. If you thought we’d seen the last of him think again. Just minutes later the Colonizers return in numbers. Aegis was all over Trench and had just sent him sprawling with a lethal jump kick. The gap in ability looked obvious. However Trench managed to slide under the ring. Warfare was busy trying to grab his old partner and put him back in the ring when he was ambushed by the Colonizer team. Too many to handle and he went down. The ref was trying to deal with all this and didn’t see Rouser sneak into the ring behind Aegis. Using the jagged edge of his broken sign to stick it right into the back of Aegis. Amid all this Trench had clambered in and was waiting at the top of the turnbuckle. Launches at Aegis with a falling knee. Typically the ref missed all this and only turns to see Trench in the cover position. He’s lost in the match and not sure what to do. Ultimately he makes the pin count and Trench takes a shock win. No time for Trench to savour it as he is ordered by Mandrill to join the outside brawl which has now grown in size with Max Shield and Tocsin joining it. Things are wild and it carries on all the way up the runway and out of sight. Reports that the whole thing was brought under control by security soon after drifting out of sight and no injuries to speak of. Later Mandrill speaks of the brawl and defeating of Aegis “I hope Murdok is impressed, the Colonizers are behind him at GALACTICON”. Pegasus over Splatter by DQ. Pegasus returns to the ring against the man who put him on the shelf via a violent lottery attack. He is furious Splatter stopped his momentum “I was just about to be ranked as the top contender and win the title back”. Reynard B. Guile is also desperate to get his hands on gold and makes several demands for the match every time he gets interviewed. It’s clear once the grappling starts though that Pegasus needs a rocket up his ass. Despite an immediate pin attempt off a sunset flip he is slow and sluggish. Maybe his advancing years makes those lay offs harder to come back from. B. Guile should really of given some tough love but he’s so worried about upsetting Pegasus all he calls out is “keep going champ, you’re the best” or things to that effect. It doesn’t help much and B. Guile had to soon be at distracting best to save Pegasus after he is smashed with MEET ARSENAL. After that big let off Pegasus got some assistance big time from Vyper. He slithered to ringside and using lots of stealth picked up Arsenal. Krakan only noticed as he was halfway up the runway. Once alerted Splatter forgot about Pegasus. Sent the ref flying as he went to save his beloved weapon. That caused him to be disqualified. Despite the chase Vyper should easily of gotten away but he fatally slipped and dropped Arsenal in the process. Splatter retrieved it and tried to take a big swing. Vyper just about made it to his feet in time to dart away. Although he’d failed with his objective at least he’d cost Splatter the match. Roll on GALACTICON now where they will face off in a Circinus Cell match. Tortured Soul overcomes Grovel. Don’t laugh but Tortured Soul is being seriously considered for a shot at the Centra belt. Beating Grovel could make it happen. Whether he/it cares is another matter. Of course this is not a pretty match. Far from it. Tortured Soul did most of the attacking. Persistent use of ROTTING CLAW is what got him the win. Afterwards Blazing Skull joined him in the ring so they could continue attacking poor Grovel. A potentially lethal attack was averted by Genocide storming to the ring. He threw everyone over the top rope. In his excitement also tossing Grovel before realising and helping it back in. Grovel looked liked it may attack Genocide back until Lorelei calmed it down. It seemed to understand that Genocide had saved him. Taechon easily beats Ms. Liberty. Taechon’s link up with Cygnus Strikeforce has led to this. Ms. Liberty is keen to beat her not only for this reason but also to keep in the title picture. After running Thrash so close in the last show she must feel another shot cannot be far away if form is maintained. Sadly though her performance here is like night and day compared to that. Gets completely blown away and beaten by CONTACT POINT. Then in a truly despicable act Mangus easily manhandles and applies the Brand of Cygnus.

CARD 1176 – GALACTICON 25 – CENTRA PALLADIUM: A shame that the historic 25th staging of the greatest event has to take place outside of the known dimension. Its importance is not lost on Centra and they make it a show to remember. Incredible pyrotechnics and holograms open the show. There are even highlights of historic events interspersed throughout. Heavyweight champ, Thunder, loses to Skinhead by DQ. It might be the main event on paper but in truth the match beforehand was the one everyone was most interested in. Bit sad for Skinhead that his big moment is under appreciated. In fact Skinhead’s entire rise to the top contender spot went under the radar a bit. He benefitted from the Code Enforcer’s feud with Euritar really kicking off and taking him out the equation. Plus his other big rival in the rankings was Wolf. Commissioner Morpheus had actually wanted Skinhead and Wolf to square off earlier in the month to decide who got the title shot. Wolf bizarrely turned down the opportunity so he could go to war with enemies old and new, Mayhem and Amazonia. Fact is Wolf has never cared much if he was a champion or not and being part of the Brymstone crew hasn’t changed that. Anyway onto the match. The usual long ring introductions that accompany any main event before things get going. Brute was immediately making threatening gestures to Johnny Rocket. Johnny refused to be intimidated by this and stands his ground at ringside. He simply shouts into his mic at Skinhead “this is the big moment you’ve waited for all your career, you can do it”. The crowd, who have always had strong affection for Skinhead, responds to this. They start a huge chant of support. Thunder is visibly agitated and feels they should show respect to him as the sitting champion. When the they continue with the noise he gives them a two fingered salute. On seeing this Skinhead loses it. He’s not having his fans treated like that and launches himself at Thunder. It’s just a clever trap by Thunder. Totally expected that reaction and swivels to meet him with a clothesline. That sets the tone. Thunder is superior throughout most of the match. Johnny Rocket really laid his body on the line to try and help Skinhead. Twice interfering after THE TEMPEST to keep things going. He paid the price as Brute eventually got a hold of Johnny. Poor Johnny didn’t stand a chance and found himself slammed into tables. Skinhead actually got a brief run on L3O thanks to one of the distractions. Couldn’t maintain it and found himself on the end of more furious offence. Moves like Gladiator Piledriver and Aethran Power Bomb just increased the fatigue count. Skinhead did manage to stop the punishment by rolling under the bottom rope. True to his word though Brute was taking no chances and started an unprovoked attack. The ref would have been very conscious that a DQ end to the main event was very unsatisfactory. He had no choice though and called it. The Gladiators saw no value in hanging around. Thunder snatched his belt from the announcer’s table and marched off with it. Brute was ahead of him on the runway and proved to be an effective shield as they were pelted by angry fans. Meanwhile Skinhead had managed to return to the ring after helping his manager. He still got his moment in the spotlight as he was declared the victor by DQ. There was no belt to make the moment sweeter though. Maybe he’ll get another chance soon. Corporal Aegis manages to handle Murdok to win their much anticipated Hydra Lumberjack match. The most anticipated match in recent history is finally happening. A hush falls over the crowd as they await the respective entrances. Murdok is first out and as expected the Colonizers are playing the role of his lumberjacks. Mandrill is not among them. Although he wants an alliance with Murdok he refuses to play any kind of subservient role. He’s sees being a lumberjack as exactly that. Clearly the Colonizers are wary of Murdok. They all shuffle along several paces behind him. Murdok reaches the ring and then fixes his lifeless gaze upon the runway. Corporal Aegis soon comes down and is supported by his comrades. He refuses to use the word lumberjack to describe them. One of them is Phantast which is surprising. Notably Rankor is missing. Maybe it’s because he’s just wrestled. Although more likely it’s because he still doesn’t trust the ROC. He’s only part of the team out of loyalty to Ventross and after what happened in the last match that relationship might now be on the rocks. Anyway Aegis was talking all the way down with the now recovered Ventross. Trying to tap into what Ventross did to become the first person to pin Murdok. Whatever he said seemed to work as Aegis made a very confident start. Rocking the slow moving Murdok with quick fire attacks. However it was taking a lot to really hurt him. Nonetheless Aegis had a couple pin attempts and then sent the crowd into a frenzy each and every time he launched Opening Salvo. He was always able to follow it up with CORPORAL PUNISHMENT. The Colonizers intervened as much as they could though with both Trench and Painmaster making potentially match saving run ins. Painmaster’s attack on Aegis actually turned the match on its head. Murdok then built some strong offence with his Head Spear Takedown add 1 move doing plenty of damage and evening up the fatigue count. There were fears that if Aegis didn’t bounce back soon that POWER OF THE PLAGUE (which has only been used sparingly thus far) would be coming his way. Somehow he manages to avoid the feared move and things come back around as Murdok’s lack of wrestling experience is exposed. Taking far too long to do anything and falling victim to many counter moves. Aegis then got going on another big offensive wave after impressively nailing a Centra Spinebuster. Then for the third time in the match came Opening Salvo followed by CORPORAL PUNISHMENT. Aegis’s lumberjacks, who had largely been inactive til now, move quickly to meet the Colonizers. Not wanting them to ruin a significant victory. They do enough to slow them down with Phantast sacrificing himself to a massive beating by Wraith and Rouser. Wraith was holding Phantast so Rouser could smash him with the sign. The cameras are focused on this and almost miss the ref making the three count in favour of Aegis. That wasn’t the end of it though. The brawling continued abated. Before long everyone is involved with blood everywhere as every single person at ringside are holding chairs. Nobody shy about using them. Rouser who was being a coward and by now hiding under the announcer’s table breaks cover to demand that a no contest is ruled having seen this happen before in lumberjack matches from the past. It’s in the ref’s court now but he simply shrugs and exclaims “it’s beyond my control” and then instructs the announcer to declare Aegis the winner. Of course the fighting wasn’t going to stop. Although in an incredible moment Genocide showed he hadn’t forgotten old friends and charges out to swing the battle in favour of the ROC. He was suitably pumped up still from his own match earlier. By the time he is done they are all down and Aegis along with his comrades are able to leave safely and milk the adulation of the crowd. Casualties are few with only Phantast and Max Shield needing assistance. Max took a blow to his leg from the recovering Murdok and had to be carried by his friends. Despite this he looks happy with life after a difficult period. Murdok, who had been pressed from the ring onto the floor by Genocide, chillingly rises and walks the runway as if nothing had happened. His departure is met with total silence. None of the Colonizers are with him and they all eventually recover at different times to leave separately. Rebel Empire get the better of the Ravagers in a Hardcore Titan Death match. Ventross, who has been one of the hottest singles wrestlers around, now returns to tag team wrestling. Perhaps in the process missing the chance of singles belt glory. He insists in a pre-match interview “I am happy to tag with Rankor. He is my friend and always will be”. Rankor just stands with an aggressive grimace. Looking totally unimpressed. Fans should remember the last time the Ravagers teamed together on TV they beat the mighty Gladiators but that was over 3 months ago. Unfortunately that long gap between matches was in evidence. Whilst the Ravagers had their moments including using RAVAGER SACK on Nefarus they were largely second best. Rebel Empire uses the hardcore elements much better. They lay siege to Ventross in particular. He picks up of a lot of fatigue tokens and feels the full fury of Vendetta. Rankor saved his bacon a couple of times after EMPIRE TRIUMPHANT. However Ventross failed to get going and he could not be saved forever. Vendetta smelled blood and nearly broke the ring with THE BIG FALL. Nefarus saw fit to start on outside brawl with Rankor whilst this happened. So no saving Ventross this time and Rebel Empire takes a significant win. Can they kick on from this and challenge for the tag belts? All didn’t look well for the Ravagers. Rankor appeared to be very angry at Ventross for losing and didn’t help him. Just left on his own. Wolf overcomes Mayhem in a bloody Scorpi King of the Ring match. Wolf maybe a villain now but he cannot resist going up against his career rival Mayhem. He gets almost as hostile reception as Mayhem does. Even his most loyal fans are struggling to come to terms over what he did to Amazonia last week. Nobody ever believed he could bring himself to hurt her. Although Mayhem is never one for small talk even he has something to say about it “I never thought I’d see the day you’d turn on Amazonia, I finally have some respect for you”. Wolf’s reaction was a snarl followed by a lunge forward with claws fully extended. It was the hardcore action you always expect of these two. As time ticks on some of the crowd do find themselves willing Wolf to win. They just cannot help themselves. He is the ultimate entertainer after all. Wolf survives a rocky start and gets well on top subjecting Mayhem to SAVAGE FACE CLAW twice in quick succession. Mayhem’s pin rating goes dangerously high very quickly and it seems to be only a matter of time before he is tossed from the ring. Wolf makes an attempt only for Mayhem to fall on the apron and roll back under the bottom rope. Mayhem now comes rampaging back and subjects Wolf to DANGER ZONE several times. Then fatally attempts LEAP OF DOOM. It had gone belly up earlier. This time it misses by mere inches. The big comeback is halted and Wolf now destroys him. Mayhem has an incredible 12 tokens by the time he is eventually thrown out. That followed a grinding claw choke that left bloody marks behind. Wolf almost forgets he is a villain after that as he gives an excited howl. As if remembering his face suddenly contorts into a snarl and he dashes off. As he ran down the runway one fan dangled a copy of GWFC magazine for him to sign. Wolf stops and tears the magazine to shreds with his sharp claws. It meant he left to an even more hostile reaction than he received at the start. After I finished the rolling this out it dawned on me that Wolf has been a quite a hot run so I checked the last few months worth of shows. Turns out he’s won an incredible 7 on the spin with no easy rides. Whether he likes it or not a title shot is probably coming. The Code Enforcer just about beats Euritar in a brutal Four Weapons of Destruction match. This feud is hot and to make it even hotter an extra weapon has been added. Dangling from the rafters on an invisible string is a crowbar. On seeing it Euritar mouths “FFS”. He knows how hard the Code Enforcer hits with that thing. No backing down now though. This was his big chance to make a name for himself and perhaps finally get out of his father’s shadow. On rolling this I must say how incredible these matches are. You’d think the need to get to 10 tokens to win would make them long drawn out affairs. However the fatigue always builds up very fast. Here Euritar makes a storming start and puts 7 on the Code Enforcer before his luck runs out. The Code Enforcer manages a to win a brawl and surges back. Absolutely battering Euritar including usage of the guest weapon, the crowbar. However it’s his finishers that do most damage. Just repeatedly hitting them until Euritar is precariously at 9 tokens. Looking set to finish as he takes hold of the Stun Rod when Euritar ducks and gets him instead with it. Euritar uses his finisher straight after which means both at 9. Who could have scripted that. They then try to do some wrestling. Only it’s slow paced. Both exhausted and lost a lot of blood. Euritar makes the bold move to try and face plant the Code Enforcer into the barbed wire draped turnbuckle. The Code Enforcer resists and smashes him into it instead. Poor Euritar can take no more and collapses. The Code Enforcer wins and watches his old partner get stretchered away. Euritar injured 4 cards. Team CPC overcomes the Rocketmen in an Aethran Ultimate Escape match. These type of matches never fail to disappoint. Among the most brutal and unpredictable of them. So often a team might surge into a lead only to get pegged back due to diminishing numbers inside the cage. Notably each team had high profile absentees in the form of Skinhead and Terminus. The reasons for Skinhead missing were obvious. Enigma was also missing having faced Vengeance earlier in the event. Despite Nora Pelf offering to go up against the men Johnny Rocket replaced Enigma with the Soulwatcher calling him an ‘honorary member of the Rocketmen for the night’. He had toyed with wrestling himself but felt that might of weakened the team too much. For Terminus he had asked Thantos if he can opt out so he can wrestle a singles match against Rising Sun which might benefit his ranking more. That proved to be a bad choice as Terminus stumbled to defeat. In hindsight Thantos should have insisted he wrestle on the team and split Mace and Grunge up as they were at odds again. Although maybe he doesn’t care as his team prevails although they made hard work of it. As for the story of the match … Bloodline was first out against the Soulwatcher. First phase was largely dominated by the tag rivals fighting with failed escapes on both sides after finishers. Eventually the others got some time in the spotlight. The Soulwatcher did tremendous against Bloodline giving him an almighty scare after THE REVELATION. Bloodline fought back viciously after that and managed to incapacitate the Soulwatcher so he could escape after CETUS MASTERLOCK. Sadly the Soulwatcher paid for his great effort as he was now loaded with fatigue tokens (6) and a real weak spot for the Rocketmen … Paragon defeated Grunge to get out. Another long fall before the next escapee. Lots of personal battles with Paragon and Prodigy featuring most prominently. However it was Paragon who made it out as a defensive tag left Grunge up against him. It was a mismatch and Paragon used FINAL OVERTURE to beat him … Dreggs easily escaped against Grunge. Much quicker now as fatigue taking toll on everyone still inside the cage. Grunge was a sitting duck after what Paragon had just done to him. Twin Blood dominates with DREGGS OF DEFEAT allowing Dreggs a path out. The Rocketmen now getting on top but very mindful they’ve still got to get the Soulwatcher out … Grunge escapes against the Soulwatcher. Not a surprise to see the Soulwatcher getting beaten. Disorder X gets their game together and use DECIMATION. Mace argues with Grunge in the aftermath saying he did the work and should have been tagged back in to be the one to escape … Sleeze shocks Prodigy. Turnbuckle smash gets missed and Prodigy impacts the cage. Sleeze cannot believe his luck and swiftly exits the structure … Prodigy manages to escape against the Soulwatcher. Incredible effort from the Soulwatcher. After Rapture Edge he looked odds on to escape. Mace managed to grab him at the last moment. Dragging him back into the cage. Meanwhile Prodigy crawls out the door … Mace beats the Soulwatcher after a Torpedo Clothesline. Not really much of a contest. The Soulwatcher was exhausted and using the bars to help him even stand. Mace toys with him a while before finishing off to give Team CPC the win. He then went back in the cage to try and hog the spotlight. Grunge had stayed ringside to watch the remainder and took exception to seeing this. He jumps back in too and argues with Mace. They end up being left fighting in the cage by the other Team CPC members who had come back down the runway to be proclaimed winners. Thantos is seen shaking his head at the sight of them grappling and whispers “idiots”. Eventually several security had to enter the cage to break the brawl up so the next match can be prepared.
Vyper downs Splatter in a Circinus Cell match. Grim build up to this sees Vyper find a dead snake in his locker. Splatter wastes no time in taunting Vyper about it when he enters the cell “that’s just the beginning, you’re going to have a lot of dead snakes on your hands”. Vyper hisses back. He knows how to get to Splatter “be careful what you do my old friend, I’d hate for Arsenal to have an accident in the chipper”. That was like a red rag to a bull and Splatter tries to smash Vyper with his trusty weapon. Vyper dodges and Splatter strikes the side of the cell sending a shock wave through his body. After this they have a decent albeit unspectacular match. There is only one foray to the top of the cell where Mike Fortune helped Splatter out by joining him. Despite this Vyper, being in the better shape, was starting get more and more control. Splatter was definitely blowing as he was lined up against the side of the cell. Vyper then hit a shoulder breaker that sends Splatter crashing. There was blood ‘splattered’ over the floor after this. Coming down from behind Splatter’s mask. There were some scattered boos as Vyper then pinned him. I think the fans expected a bit more action and carnage from this especially given the build up with the snakes.
Blade and Genocide over Unspeakable Horror by DQ. Blade really looked the odd man out amidst all those hardcore wrestlers. Lorelei looked genuinely worried for him and hoped Genocide would be a protector. Maleph was being a pain as usual swooping all over the place. However Lorelei brought him to Earth with a catapult. Maleph keeps feet on the ground after this. He is angry though and orders Unspeakable Horror to give the local hospital some extra work tonight. First chance he gets decides to interfere. Genocide having exited the ring after an Anarchy Atomic Drop. Maleph swipes at his back which causes Genocide to start attacking him. Blazing Skull and Anarchy immediately gang up on Genocide. Against Lorelei’s wishes Blade wades in with a chair and it just triggers chaos. Chairs and tables get flung everywhere. Nobody even stopped to hear the verdict which was a DQ win ruled for Blade and Genocide. This really should have been given the special match treatment as it had barely lasted more than a minute. The fighting, as wild as it was, seemed to bring about no injuries apart from superficial cuts. Security were needed bring things under some kind of control. Wouldn’t be the first time they’d be needed tonight. Max Shield brings the roof down as he beats Wraith. Max trying to lift the gloom of the whole ROC team by beating his old mate Wraith. Max’s style has changed this year but it hasn’t made a huge difference to his performances. He remains probably one of the biggest underachievers in the history of the fed. DM on commentary tries to be upbeat “Max always puts others first and sometimes it’s to the detriment of himself but mark my words he will be Heavyweight champion one day, he’s too talented not to be”. Such thought was far from Max’s mind though. He was just desperate to put one over his old friend on the grandest stage of all. On this occasion Trisis accompanied him and she immediately gets into a spat with Rouser over his latest protest sign which said “ban women from wrestling”. He just proved to be a massive nuisance from start to finish. Max wrestled brilliantly but Rouser kept doing stuff to turn the tables in favour of Wraith. One such interference led to PHANTOM JACKHAMMER. Another saved Wraith after Max’s finisher. It would have been so unjust if Wraith had won. Fortunately the better man prevailed. Max showed so much mental strength to go with his ability. Managing to get another great offensive run with culminated in THE OMICRON FORCE (+3). This time it was enough to pin Wraith. Trish’s got a cheer as she tripped Rouser up as he looked to enter the ring. Presumably to strike Max with his sign.
Desolation Factor beat Malice and Overkill again. Desolation Factor goes to war with the Gladiators for the fifth GALACTICON in a row! The last two resulting in wins. A DQ victory over Thunder and Overkill and then a memorable win over Malice and Overkill in a Barbed Wire Cage match. To say the Gladiators wanted revenge here was an understatement. Perhaps surprising it wasn’t given the special match treatment. Despite those stats the Gladiators looked supremely confident especially given their recent win over the highly regarded Titan Attack. They must of thought this time it would be a doddle as Malice immediately goes for FIELDS OF MALICE on Rack. Unsuccessful though and as time goes by all their shortcomings are exposed. Overkill is badly in need of a cleansing. He lacks mobility and now cannot match Ruin’s power. Malice is clearly the better of the two and did have a chance with his finisher again later. Pin save foiled it this time though. Eventually Desolation Factor puts pressure on the ponderous Overkill and manage to beat him with RACKED AND RUINED. Rack did a good job on Malice with a football tackle as Ruin got the pin. Brute had a face like thunder on observing yet another loss to Desolation Factor. Any thoughts of a title shot after beating Titan Attack now gone up in smoke.
Vengeance tortured Enigma. Despite calls from a small minority for Vengeance to be struck off the show he does get booked. He seems pretty isolated from the other Gladiators at the moment. Brute is nowhere to be seen. Rumour is Thrash was going to be at ringside and then Vengeance threatened to cut her throat if she did. Anyway this was a cool match as these two have unfinished business from their meeting last month. Was a mixed bag from Enigma. Some thrilling death defying moves which are great to watch and fine when they connect. However just takes way too many risks. Headed to the top rope and although Vengeance had accumulated a few fatigue tokens was in no way hurt enough. He got up fast and threw Enigma down to swing the match. It was all Vengeance from that point on as he tortured Enigma before finally ending the suffering of Enigma via HELTER SKELTER. Enigma could have used Johnny Rocket to help him out. Unfortunately Johnny was missing and probably focusing on the Aethran Ultimate Escape match the Rocketmen are involved in later in the show.
Rising Sun downed Terminus. Two top guys finding themselves alarmingly down the card. Both knowing a win over the other will rocket them up the rankings. Nice little sideshow sees Thantos and Lord Nexus having a heated exchange. It takes a lot to get Lord Nexus worked up. So when he went nose to nose with Thantos and challenged him to come out of retirement for a match you knew he was annoyed. Maybe that’s something that can take place in the near future. Despite Lord Nexus being hyped up he still stayed hands off. Clips of him interfering or distracting are still collectors items. He nearly bears witness to a very quick and memorable win for Rising who really had the bit between his teeth. Within just 4 moves SUNSET SPECTACULAR almost seeing Terminus beaten. After that is when much of the aggro started between the managers. Rising managed to stay focused and controlled most of the match. There was a scare when a sudden turnaround allowed Terminus to use HAMMERLOCK SLAM. Rising not only kicked out but immediately went back on the offensive and deservedly won the match via SUPER DRAGON DROP. A galvanising win we hope for Rising who since briefly holding the Heavyweight belt has struggled to maintain his very high standards.
Sniper easily beats Maxine Babe. First outing for Sniper since she dropped the belt. She looked happy until the Terrorists decided to come to ringside. That was very unusual and she didn’t look comfortable. However dared not to try stop them. Just tried to ignore their ringside presence. Maxine looked petrified too but tried to bring them round to her side by flirting. One of them was totally unimpressed as they raised a whip which surely would have been used if she didn’t back off. Maxine’s cheerleader buddy (who is purely written in so Maxine can do her finisher) didn’t have her back at all. Maxine was given very little chance before that. Now with that unsettling incident she had more or less no chance. Sniper didn’t need long to dispose of her. Reeled off TARGET PRACTICE two times in a row and then pinned Maxine for an easy win. Sniper then looked relieved as the Terrorists quietly shuffled off. She may not like Maxine but wouldn’t have wanted her to of suffered some form of violent attack from them. She wouldn’t have deserved that. Tortured Soul defeated Dreadnaught in a close match. Dreadnaught is still faltering but has surprise assistance from Thantos appearing with him at ringside. Thantos says “I’m just helping out an old friend, we go back a long way”. It was actually a nice gesture. Although it didn’t make Dreadnaught look much better initially. Tortured Soul looked like he had more life in him which is saying something. The mere presence of Thantos though served to keep Maleph quiet. The winged demon doesn’t really want a confrontation with a fellow villain manager. Thantos being there gave Dreadnaught a fighting chance and he improved after a while. Managed to last out in one of the longest matches he’s had in a long time. Tortured Soul needed ROTTING CLAW about 5 times to eventually beat him. Afterwards Dreadnaught lay motionless and Maleph now wakes up and assumes he’s dead. He laughs and shouts out “finally he’s dead, he smells so bad even the flies have f*cked off”. He ends up disappointed as as soon as he’s delivered the line Dreadnaught gasps and jolts upright. Thantos then helps him up and sees him safely down the runway.
DARK MATCHES
Tocsin beats Dark Justice by DQ. Reality check for Tocsin. One minute you’re the Centra champion. Next minute you’re wrestling dark at the biggest event of the year. Wrestling can be fickle. Justice isn’t in the greatest place either as he is just kind of plodding along (I need to try and think of a good storyline to make him relevant again). That moodiness reflects in the way Justice went about things. A don’t care attitude. He dominates an out of sorts Tocsin and almost pinned him with SHOCK PROBATION. After that was obsessed with bringing things outside and breaking rules constantly. Krakan was working overtime with the distractions. However even he couldn’t cover up ROD OF JUSTICE when it came. Justice was immediately disqualified. The early doors crowd didn’t like Tocsin being treated so savagely and heckled Justice which he milked.
Theatre of Pain coast against Animen Invasion. Son of Ram complains the team is not getting big matches and threatened to no show. When it became clear nobody cared he went all quiet. Ended up probably being a blessing in disguise that they weren’t on the telecast as Animen Invasion were woeful. Mustered zero offence. In fact Son of Ram never got out the ring and he was easily pinned after SHAKESPEARE. Was pretty much a squash.

GWFC REPORT (THE END 2111 CARDS 1173 – 1176) Champions * GWFC Heavyweight Champ: Thunder (Top Contender: Skinhead/Wolf/Pegasus) * GWFC Tag Champs: Twin Blood (Top Contenders: Rebel Empire/Team With No Name) * GWFC Centra Champ: Painmaster (Top Contender: Corporal Aegis/Tortured Soul) * GWFC Ladies Champ: Thrash (Top Contender: Taechon) Latest News: Corporal Aegis is giving off plenty of good vibes after what he did at GALACTICON. By defeating Murdok last month the fear factor among the Centra public has lessened. Aegis warns “this is not over, the ROC has shown it can protect and represent Centra but this was just a battle being won and not the war”. He also thanks Genocide for helping his old friends in that wild post match brawl “thanks to Genocide, he definitely swung it for us, once a ROC member always a ROC member!”. There was added joy with Max Shield also emerging triumphant in his match with Wraith despite the best efforts of Rouser to interfere. Wasn’t so good for the Ravagers but Ventross is quite philosophical about it “we haven’t teamed together much lately and it showed. I know once get a couple more matches under our belt we will be able to beat Rebel Empire”. He chooses not to comment on Rankor’s attitude who seemed more grumpy than normal. Hopefully there is no trouble brewing. It is fair to say the people don’t trust him at all and he has failed to connect with them on any level. Rumours continue that the fed might not continue beyond the end of the year. Cross dimensional messages are almost impossible but Phantast reveals that wrestling could be allowed again in the known dimension. The public worries about this and wants their weekly wrestling fix to continue. Step forward Lance At-Las who has declared no matter what he is going to stay on Centra and will likely continue the fed assuming he can get some meaty investors to come in. He also confirms that he is officially no longer a part of the FDF. Commando Sam doesn’t want to be left short of numbers in the wake of this and says he is actively looking for recruitments. Word is that he has got his eyes firmly on Bloodline whom he believes can be tempted to leave his ‘code breaking ways’ behind him. Sam hopes such a deed can be done before the fed goes back to the known dimension and as a result he returns a hero. Thantos, on hearing this, calls Commando Sam crazy and that “all those bumps to the head over the years have turned him into a senile old man that cannot be trusted”. Thantos also has Disorder X to worry about. His team may of narrowly beaten the Rocketmen at GALACTICON but the behaviour of Mace and Grunge was embarrassing. Surely they must be on verge of splitting and even if they don’t then Thantos might be keen to wash his hands of them.
Pegasus struggles to accept he is no longer part of the Heavyweight title picture. After hearing rumours he is going to be offered a run at the secondary Centra belt he was aghast and beats down the Commissioner’s door. Morpheus went nose to nose with him as they both leant over the desk. Pegasus boldly tells him “I am the GOAT, now give me what I deserve”. Meanwhile the snivelling Reynard B. Guile creeped in behind and read a speech giving reasons why Pegasus should get the next title shot and doesn’t need his worthiness assessed. Morpheus listened for a while before breaking away from his stare down with Pegasus. He pins B. Guile by the throat to the wall and shouts “I maybe a Commissioner now but I’ll still beat your behind. This is the most disrespectful thing ever. But you want a decision and my decision is that you must face Thunder in a non-title match and only by winning that do you get a shot. Now get out of my office before I throw you out”. Well said Morpheus! The finer details of all this is that originally the plan was for Wolf and Skinhead to square off to decide the next top contender. By beating Thunder in a non-title bout Pegasus will leapfrog them. However if he fails then it will still be one of them. Pegasus has also been told there will not be a fallback of challenging for the Centra belt. So he’s taken a risk. In a twist this has opened the door for Corporal Aegis to challenge for the Centra belt. Which will be a great match because Painmaster is the current holder of it. For those thinking Aegis is more a Heavyweight belt guy he says “it would be a great honour to wear the belt that bears the name of our great civilisation. I don’t consider it any less of a title”. It’s not quite as simple as just getting the title shot though. He still has to do a little bit more to earn it. Standing in his way is Tortured Soul. It will be a test for Aegis and one he will hopefully come through with flying colours. Off the top of my head I think it’s Aegis’s first flirtation with a belt of any kind. Considering he’s been wrestling around 18 months and a major player that’s a long time to keep him away from them. However I consider ROC members to be not too focused on winning gold. Plus even after all this time they are still acclimatising to wrestling.
Has Mangus gone too far with his branding? Nobody ever thought he’d do it to a woman. However after Taechon beat Ms. Liberty it happened. Poor Ms. Liberty had nobody to protect her at ringside. Will this reignite Commando Sam’s hatred towards Mangus? Their feud having mellowed a bit. US. Traitor takes great delight in seeing this happen and jokes “it looks good on her but I wish Mangus had done it to her face”. GALACTICON marked the halfway point in the year. If this is to be the final furlong of the GWFC it’s going to be dramatic. The war between the ROC-Colonizers/Murdok will be the primary focus with plenty of other good stuff ahead.
INJURED – Euritar (4); SUSPENDED – none WRESTLER OF THE MONTH: MANDRILL - was torn between him and Wolf. Seeing as Wolf only won this award recently I plumped for Mandrill. He’s moved ominously back into form with two very impressive and dominant wins over Warfare and Max Shield. Last thing we want is him holding the Heavyweight belt but he has a case to challenge very soon, maybe one more notable win would do it. He’d need to risk incurring the wrath of the Gladiators though if Thunder is still the holder. Not sure he’s ready to make an enemy of them just yet. TAG TEAM OF THE MONTH: DESOLATION FACTOR - for rudely stopping the Gladiator charge towards a tag title shot and keeping up their GALACTICON run against them. If the Gladiators can seize both major titles they could maintain a vice like grip on them. Plus their increased confidence would make them very dangerous. If Desolation Factor can get consistency they could get a shot soon and Commando Sam would not hold them back like Lord Nexus doesn’t Titan Attack.

Saved by Mace after Rapture Edge and managed to crawl out the door … Mace wins for his team as he destroys the Soulwatcher who is exhausted. A Torpedo Clothesline seals his fate. Instead of a team celebration Team CPC is left embarassed as Mace and Grunge head back into the cage for a very public brawl) 12. Thunder dominated most of it although Brute was taking no chances and caused the outcome with an unprovoked outside attack)

CARD 1177 – RUINS OF ANTILIA: Vengeance bloodies Blade in a Ruins of Antilia match. Even after all this time Blade still gets criticised for needing to toughen up. Well they don’t come much tougher than a Ruins of Antilia against Vengeance. Blade knew his limitations and tried not to get too drawn on the hardcore aspect of the match. Vengeance had the lion share of it all. Blade made a good start until he met with one of the ruins head on. Vengeance then spent most of the time outside. Even when Blade tried to crawl back into the ring Vengeance was quick to drag him out. By the time Vengeance had finished Blade was a bloody mess. The final nail in the coffin was when Blade got thrown into an ancient stone wall which then collapsed on top of him. Vengeance then dug him out the rubble and went for the pin. Worryingly Vengeance is creeping up the rankings as he quietly racks up wins. Not saying he would risk creating more problems for himself by challenging Thunder but wouldn’t put it past him. That aside it meant the Gladiators edged the match challenge with the Centaurians 2-1. Might see the two sides engage each other just one more time before the month is out. Am keen to give Spike some match action as it’ll probably be the last year I use him so probably will be him involved. Genocide battered Mayhem. Drama as Murdok stalks Genocide after what happened at GALACTICON. He suddenly appears in the distance just beyond the ruins fixing his gaze upon Genocide who seemed to suddenly stop. As if he was gripped in fear. If Genocide was frightened then what chance do we all have? After about 30 seconds (although it felt like an age) Genocide snaps out of it and tries to leave the ring to head towards the distant spot where Murdok was stood. Only Mayhem didn’t let him. Seizing on the chance to jump Genocide. By the time Genocide had dealt with him Murdok had eerily disappeared. Genocide was left with no choice other than to continue beating on Mayhem which he did. He almost flew in to a wild rage when Mayhem kicked out after CORPUS GENOCIDE. Very few have taken that and lived to tell the tale. After working out his rage by smashing his own head into a turnbuckle he then went back to Mayhem. Roughed him up some more and then let him have station to station head into turnbuckles. After which Mayhem didn’t know what day it was. Team With No Name over Rebel Empire by DQ. Tag belt contender match. Pressure heaped upon Rebel Empire by Mandrill to deliver the tag belts and make the Colonizers appear a strong team again. Mandrill knows holding belts make bragging easier. Also weighing heavily on their shoulders is the fact they’ve seriously underachieved. In over 6 years as a team they’ve only held the belts once and almost 3 years have passed by since that happened. They were expected to negotiate this hurdle only to go and blow it. Even with Rouser causing distractions Nefarus allowed himself to get sucked into an outside brawl with the Mad Jesters almost immediately. He got squirted in the face with a ketchup bottle and lost his cool. It only actually contained water but he didn’t know that. He grabbed hold of the nearest weapon which was some cabling and wrapped it around the neck of the cloned Mad Jester. The ref called the DQ and Nefarus looked crestfallen on realising what had happened. His immediate reaction was to blame Rouser as he shouts “why didn’t you do your job and distract the ref?” The Mad Jesters were laughing as they argued. Even though one of them was still gasping for breath after that strangulation incident. Spike defeated Grovel by DQ. In the first of a 3 match challenge between the Gladiators and Centaurians. A rivalry triggered by disparaging comments by Lorelei. She dared to criticise on how Aethrans disrespect women and urged Thrash to stand up to them. Their response was to declare a mini war on the Centaurians. First up was Spike against Grovel in a rough and tumble match. Spike hit some good moves at first. However Grovel instinctively left the ring and with Lorelei not actually around to help guide it started attacking some of the ringside officials. Perhaps confused and thinking they might be Aethrans. Not a good match really and hopefully the ones to come would be better. Ninja Assassins work hard to beat Rigel Warriors. Ninja Assassins aren’t letting anyone forget they are still a top team despite suggestions they are a bit long in the tooth and worse off for aligning themselves with Reynard B. Guile (who only really cares about Pegasus). Beating the Rigel Warriors would provide a nice rankings boost. Don’t laugh but the Rigel Warriors are a highly ranked team themselves and knocking on the door of inclusion for the forthcoming OTB tournament. Anyway it looks like it’ll be a formality for the Ninjas. It’s never a good idea to let Meteor start and was looking well out of his depth. That was until Daeman badly missed a deathjump and Meteor was agonisingly close to pinning him. After that Meteor improved and really held his own. Hopes were high that Lance At-Las would feed off the crowd support and grind out a win. However he takes all manner of bombardment from the Ninja Assassins which included their finishers. His fatigue count necessitated thrusting Meteor into the action more than usual. Although Meteor did well when called upon he was ultimately beaten when Daeman used a Scorpion Death Lock. Good effort from the Rigel Warriors although any hopes of now making OTB probably dashed. Anaxis defeated Nora Pelf. Decent match. No servant stipulations or anything thus time. Anaxis eventually manages to show her superiority and wins with CALL OF THE SIREN. Nora got her own back in the aftermath. Anaxis rooted around in her bag that she’d brought along for some scissors so she may cut Nora’s hair. Nora recovered in time and smashed Anaxis with her own bowl injuring her for the next couple of cards.

CARD 1178 – LAVA PITS OF PRIMUS: Tag champs, Twin Blood, see off the challenge of Team With No Name. Johnny Rocket has been very critical of the glut of top contender matches taking place meaning his team has less time to prepare for the next challenger. He actually copped a fine from Morpheus for saying “why can’t the old codgers in the championship committee make their minds up?” Despite the fine he must of been happy that his team was facing the Mad Jesters instead of Rebel Empire. He can’t of expected that. Taking nothing for granted though. His team kept focus from the opening bell. The Mad Jesters gave them a few problems. However no other team has ever been as good as Twin Blood in timing their defensive tags to bail each other out. It meant they mainly only had to deal with the lower level moves against them. Inevitably Twin Blood started to get their offence going and when they did there was little that could be done to stop them. Dreggs subjected the cloned Mad Jester to DREGGS OF DEFEAT to seal another succesful defence in this record breaking run. Now Twin Blood’s eyes are firmly on retaining the OTB tag trophy next month. If they pull it off it would be their third in the last four. Also would pull them level with the legendary Superiority Complex for most wins. This team just seems to want to keep breaking records. Ladies champ, Thrash, defends against Taechon. Thrash has been a real beneficiary of Amazonia’s crusade to face men, Supernova struggling to adapt to life in this dimension and Sniper having a break. For sure they will be back sniffing around the women’s belt at some point. For now she needs to take advantage of all that to dominate the ladies division and maybe earn more respect from her follow Aethrans. Taechon wasn’t expected to give her too much trouble. Indeed she was almost beaten after a mere 2 moves as FEMME FATAL came his/her way. Taechon managed to kick out though and managed to give Thrash a few worrying moments. Ultimately Thrash was too powerful and aggressive though. Several high impact moves served to increase Taechon’s pin rating sufficiently enough that when Thrash tried for the pin after a Gladiator Piledriver it was successful. Thrash then aggressively kicks Taechon out of the ring and badmouths almost the entire female roster. Daring them to try and take the belt off her. Pegasus beats Thunder by DQ in a non-title match. Pegasus just needs a win of any kind to leapfrog Wolf and Skinhead into the top contender spot. Reynard B. Guile knows only too well how easily the Gladiators get themselves disqualified. He plays a dangerous game by trash talking with both Thunder and Brute throughout. It works though as Brute was agitated enough to needlessly attack Pegasus when he got too close to him outside the ring. It seemed largely unnecessary as Thunder looked a very likely winner. He was absolutely pulverising Pegasus most of the time. Would certainly of won after THE TEMPEST twice if not for B. Guile’s distractions. One of which saw him gorilla pressed out of the ring. Got to hand it to B. Guile. He’s one of the most irritating individuals around yet he is prepared to take a bump for his wrestlers and has masterminded a title shot for Pegasus. Something that seemed very unlikely to happen if you go back to the start of the year. Tortured Soul stunned Corporal Aegis. No secret that the winner will receive a shot at the Centra belt. With Painmaster as the sitting champ it would make much better booking sense for it to be Aegis that wins and of course that’s who almost everyone wants to win. Aegis has already gone on record to say what a great honour it would be to wear the belt named after Centra. However he knows he’s got to get the job done. Tortured Soul has proven a tough nut to crack. Aegis came flying out the blocks and almost gets an immediate pin. Not wanting to give Tortured Soul any respite he heads straight to the top of the turnbuckle and goes for a risky deathjump. It has a disastrous outcome as he misses and has a really bad landing. Tortured Soul slowly rises to his feet and starts forcing his hand down Aegis’s throat with ROTTING CLAW over and over again. Aegis is not a quitter but the ref sees fit to call the match for his own protection. Aegis was later crestfallen and said of the match “I underestimated and took a silly risk but these things can happen. I will learn from this and work even harder to come back again”. Aegis does need to bounce back fast. Whilst he beat Murdok at GALACTICON this has been sandwiched between alarming losses to Trench and now Tortured Soul. Archon and Code Enforcer over Mutant and Dark Justice by DQ. Becoming a habit for Archon and Code Enforcer to team up. Is this tactical by Commando Sam or is it just that they get along? Go back several months and it was unthinkable that Archon would ever of wanted to be associated with a hardcore type like the Code Enforcer but sometimes opposites attract. It was a nauseating arrival by Mutant and Justice. Krakan leads them out and seems to be feeding Mutant worms. Hardly the stuff to tantalise the tastebuds. It’s the precursor to a very entertaining contest. Everyone had plenty of time in the ring with the opening battle between Archon and Mutant being particularly thrilling. Mutant certainly wasn’t the weak spot as would be expected and it matched up well to both Archon and Code Enforcer. Such a good match deserved a better outcome than it did. Krakan just unable to stay hands off as he tried to help Mutant out against Archon which caused the DQ decision. Mandrill destroyed Tocsin. Emotional match as former master and slave face each other. Mandrill calls Tocsin “weak and pathetic”. Tocsin blows his foul breath back in Mandrill’s face by way of response. Mandrill curls up his nose and then explodes with rage. Pounding violently onto Tocsin who just wilted. In less than a minute he is beaten via MUTANT MAULER. Mandrill’s form is such that he could be back in the Heavyweight belt picture soon but should he of taken on a bigger fish though?

CARD 1179 – CENTRA PALLADIUM: Centra champ, Painmaster, keeps his reign going by beating Tortured Soul by DQ. Cannot quite believe it’s Tortured Soul facing Painmaster and not Corporal Aegis. Painmaster probably thinking that too. Not going to get an easier ride though. Maleph is sometimes hesitant to attack other villains but with gold on the line he’s not going to hold back here. Rouser seems scared of Maleph and initially refused to come out with Painmaster. He had to be pushed through the curtain. He was about as much use as chocolate fireguard though and does very little to help Painmaster. If the belt had been lost then for sure Rouser would have been answerable to Mandrill. Luckily for him Painmaster negotiates this defence. Doesn’t find it easy as Tortured Soul gave plenty of offence. Eventually Painmaster got THE TORTURE RACK on. Maleph swooped to break the move up and this resulted in the disqualification. Wolf beats Skinhead and looks unstoppable in the process. Skinhead may of beaten Thunder by DQ at GALACTICON which often leads to another crack at the belt. However he’s got to work hard for another chance. Pegasus has leapfrogged both he and Wolf into the top contender spot by beating Thunder. Skinhead has now been told by Commissioner Morpheus “prove yourself here and at ONLY THE BEST”. He’s a bit flummoxed by having to do this and says “obviously my face doesn’t fit as much as some others”. Seemed to affect him as Wolf was able to dominate from start to finish. Johnny Rocket tried his best for Skinhead and ended up getting ejected from ringside for twice interfering after SAVAGE FACE CLAW. Once he was out the way there was nothing that could be done for Skinhead. He failed to pick himself up and surrendered to a grinding claw choke. When a brave interviewer later asked Wolf if he was annoyed his form and win here weren’t being rewarded with the title shot that had been initially pencilled in he ferociously reacted with “owwoooo, I don’t give a sh*t about titles”. Genocide and Grovel combine to defeat Blazing Skull and Vyper. Had to be creative with the booking. Tortured Soul was supposed to team with Blazing Skull here but he unexpectedly earned a shot at the Centra belt. I couldn’t replace him with Wolf or Anarchy as they were already booked so I decided to draft in Vyper. I felt on a weird level he and Blazing might get along. Anyway there was expected chaos. Security team on standby should things really get out of control. Genocide seems slightly bothered by the Murdok sighting a couple shows back. It’s highly unlikely Murdok might show up here at the Centra Palladium. Doesn’t stop Genocide shouting out crazily “come out Murdok, I’m right here”. Guess he should have kept his attention on Blazing Skull and Vyper. Suddenly Genocide sees a snake slither over his shoulder and he freaks out in trying to remove it. The poor critter is removed and flung deep into the crowd causing a fair amount of panic. Before Genocide can settle down Blazing and Vyper are upon him with a double team attack. Grovel just stood on the apron staring vacantly. The concept of tag teaming probably too confusing. It needed a nudge from Lorelei to help out. Genocide manages to weather the storm with its help. Although Genocide does most of the work Grovel played its part. Grovel set Genocide up after doing well against Vyper. Genocide knocks Vyper all over the ring and then finishes by almost taking his head off with a top rope clothesline. The aftermath saw Vyper recovering and vaulting the barriers to try and retrieve his lost pet whilst Genocide stood in the ring pounding his chest and maybe hoping Murdok might show up. Which he didn’t.
Amazonia beats Anarchy by DQ. Having finally got her match against Wolf another wish is granted as Amazonia now gets to face Anarchy. Although after this Commissioner Morpheus has said no more. At the risk of upsetting female rights groups he has said “men should fight men and women should fight women, there will certainly not be any opportunities to win any belts”. With that message ringing in her ears Amazonia wanted to make the most of this moment. Sadly that was taken away from her as Maleph attacked her on the outside with the match barely a minute old. He picked up a chair and flew several feet into the air before trying to drop it on Amazonia’s head. Clearly done on purpose to prevent Amazonia having any meaningful grapple time with Anarchy. Mayhem and Spike look a useful team as they overcome Enigma and Paragon. Both Paragon and Enigma would prefer to shine solo but find themselves thrown together to face the two Gladiator veterans. Spike and Mayhem are not exactly known for their tag exploits either. There was an early scare for the Gladiators as Mayhem went for and missed with LEAP OF DOOM. Paragon failed to make most of it though and fatally handed off to Enigma as never got back in the ring. Enigma was like some kind of jumping bean and trying to do way too much. He eventually got into strife with Spike and went down to MEGADESTROYER. Spike had looked impressive in the way he’d handled him. Life in the old dog yet. Titan Attack crushed Society of Death. Classic feud in the spotlight. Always fun to listen to DM on commentary as he struggles to remain impartial when the Titans are in the ring especially against old rivals of his. They make him very happy by coasting to a really easy win. Splatter couldn’t cope with their fluidity and speed. He was dazzled and finished by THE RISE AND FALL in less than 2 minutes.

CARD 1180 – SCUFFLE ON A SATURDAY – CENTRA PALLADIUM: Heavyweight champ, Thunder, pulverised Pegasus. Due to the length of previous matches it’s very late on Centra. No time to hit the hay though as this is some main event. Somehow Pegasus has managed to pull it off and secure another shot at the Heavyweight belt. Although it feels like a bit of a no win situation for him. If he does well then is sure to be set upon by the other Gladiators in a gang attack. If that doesn’t happen then it means Thunder is in control. Commissioner Morpheus has been pressurised to stamp down on this Gladiator interference before it gets out of control. So far he is ignoring that and observing how things play out. The reality is that Thunder has still only been champion for a very short amount of time and there hasn’t been anything much happen yet. More just threats so far. Anyway they weren’t needed tonight. The match is a disaster for Pegasus. He could have been beaten twice in the first 3 moves as Thunder hit him with his finisher. The first time Pegasus somehow had the awareness to dangle a foot on the bottom rope. Second time it needed Reynard B. Guile to pull a major distraction. He pulled off a dying swan routine that served to distract the both the ref and Thunder. It was so convincing that Brute even shouted out “for f*cks sake, not another death”. B. Guile then popped laughing after about 30 seconds and bounced around pointing at everyone “fooled you all, I’m the greatest manager in history and I’m going to live forever”. The Gladiators don’t like being made fools of especially on the subject of death given all that’s happened in the last 18 months. B. Guile ends up paying for his act. Before that though we go back to the match. Pegasus was suitably recovered after that massive distraction and back on his feet. Slate not entirely wiped clean as he was a tad wobbly but trying to put that shocking start behind him. Tried to get stuck into Thunder only to soon realise he was getting nothing out of this. Thunder’s ferocious intensity was far too much for him. I’m not sure even Pegasus in his prime would have been able to cope with this. It didn’t take long before Thunder was somersaulting off the top turnbuckle with THE TEMPEST for the third time in the match. B. Guile panics on seeing this and storms the ring. He manages to slip past Brute who tried to grab him and jumps onto Thunder’s back. In a comical scene Thunder flips him over the top onto the mat in front of him. The top hat went flying and Thunder stamped on it. B. Guile tried to back away to the turnbuckle where Thunder grabbed him and pressed him straight onto Pegasus who’d just got to his feet. Pegasus didn’t really know where he was and collapsed under the force of his flying manager. Thunder then placed a foot on the back of B. Guile who was heaped on top Pegasus and demanded the ref make the pin count which he did. In a strange way this moment felt like a passing of the torch moment. Pegasus has been the greatest wrestler of the past few years. Now past his best and well beaten by Thunder who looks like he could easily become the next dominant superstar. Pegasus later lost his rag when being interviewed. At first he sneered when it was suggested maybe the Centra belt now represents a more realistic chance of future belt gold. Then he pinned the interviewer to the wall by the throat when they got even bolder and suggested Pegasus has not won enough titles or been loved enough as a hero in his career to be considered a legend in the same mould as the likes of Star Warrior, Thantos or Wolf. Rebel Empire and Mandrill easily beat Corporal Aegis and Ravagers in straight falls to win a Best of 3 match. Corporal Aegis knows this means a lot to the fans. He urges them to focus on cheering for him rather than being hostile to the Colonizers “much better to create a positive atmosphere than a negative one”. The fans respond in kind and even take it up another decibel when Phantast comes out with him and the Ravagers. Rouser gets in the referee’s face as soon as he sees Phantast “send him away, he’s going to cheat with magic, ban all magicians”. Falls on deaf ears. Rouser eventually gives up and picks up his sign which is another creative effort. Tonight no protests, just has ‘greatest manager ever’ painted on it. Anyway back in the real world he is overseeing this with orders from Mandrill to make as big a nuisance of himself as possible if necessary. Both teams all too aware that you are only as good as your last match. What happened last year, last month or even last week counts for nothing. Being over a best of three falls we would certainly have a worthy winner. First fall went the way of the Colonizers. After a few minutes the action settled on Mandrill against Rankor. Sadly Mandrill was so superior and Rankor took most of his big moves with MUTANT MAULER being the decisive one. Rankor wasn’t in a good way and the Colonizers tried to launch straight into the second fall by attacking him again. Phantast, doing a bit of a Rouser, protested and the ref agreed. Forcing a reset for the next fall and allowing the teams to decide who started the fall. Naturally Rankor was pulled out the firing line so he might be able to recover and hopefully play a part in the match after that. He would be called upon far sooner than hoped though as Ventross got into the ring with Nefarus and had a torrid time. Within just a few moves he was subjected to EMPIRE TRIUMPHANT and SCISSORDRIVER. I rolled for a pin save each time and fittingly it was stopped. In keeping with Rankor’s condition I imagined he was just too hurt to act on it despite the prodding of Aegis and Phantast to enter the ring. As a result Ventross was pinned and the ROC trio were well beaten. The fans hated this as Rouser tried to work the crowd into celebrating the Colonizers superiority. Behind him Mandrill lorded it up to further antagonise. The ROC members tried to maintain dignity and left quietly. Rankor rages in the aftermath and accuses Aegis of trying to pin the blame of the defeat on him. Aegis tries to stay calm in the face of such an accusation and simply says of this “we win and lose together, no blame attributed anywhere”. Wolf makes a comeback to beat Vengeance in the Nightmare Matrix. Wolf still cannot resist wrestling old enemies despite his villain status. He’s been wanting to renew acquaintances with Vengeance for a while and luring him into the Nightmare Matrix is even better. Vengeance disturbingly says a match like this is right up his alley and that he will thrive in it. He came close to winning it too as the Matrix played lots of cruel tricks on Wolf. The most disturbing of which projected an image of Reynard B. Guile and Amazonia kissing and canoodling right in front of him. Despite his current estranged status this drove Wolf nuts. As he started trying to swipe and tear at the hallucinations Vengeance was able to take a big advantage. Wolf had other problems with the hallucinations. Too many to mention. Suffice to say they gave Vengeance chances to use his sick Eye Cleaver and HELTER SKELTER twice. It’s a testament to Wolf’s staying power that he survived these and eventually began to mount one of his legendary comebacks. The Matrix seemed to ease up on him and Vengeance was now the recipient of some stuff. A spinning ring left him particularly nauseated and it was the opening Wolf needed as locked in with the crushing power of SAVAGE FACE CLAW. Never let it go and managed to push Vengeance down onto the mat in a pinning position for a significant win. Surely with this being his ninth straight victory he is a shoe in for the next Heavyweight title shot no matter what happens later between Thunder and Pegasus. Even though Wolf has said he couldn’t care less about belts deep down there must be a craving. Genocide defeated Spike in a thrilling Hydra Lumberjack match. Cool way to finish the spat between the Gladiators and Centaurians. Lumberjack matches are always unpredictable. Spike maybe well past his prime but is confident he can deal with Genocide whom he describes as “just a large stumbling brute”. He showed he can still do plenty of damage by dealing with Enigma on the last show. Of course Genocide is a completely different animal. Initially most of the action centres on the lumberjacks who were brawling outside. They took a while to stop warring. When they did and focused on the match they play a big part with lots of involvement. Spike defied his advancing years and gave Genocide lots to think about. However he did owe his fellow Gladiators big time. Twice he was cleaned out with CORPUS GENOCIDE and each time was saved by them attacking Genocide. At one point Overkill was able to enter ring and apply TURNBUCKLE TRAP to help out. Genocide’s lumberjacks weren’t shy either with Amazonia causing a massive cheer as she came in at one point and managed to knock Spike down with RUNNING SABRE. This all meant that the pendulum was constantly swinging. Gradually though Spike was slowing down. His fatigue count was creeping up and Genocide sensed maybe one more big move would finish him off. He unleashed a berserk pounding assault and Spike couldn’t handle it. Amazonia saw that Genocide would likely get a pin from it and bravely led a cavalry charge around the other side of the ring and engaged the Gladiators again. It meant there was nothing to stop Genocide pinning Spike now. He then immediately joined the brawl to swing it in favour of the Centaurians. Means the monthly match series between the Gladiators and Centaurians ends 2-2. Splatter battered Warfare in a Milky Way Falls County Anywhere match. Not that Splatter is one to dwell on past matches though he could do with a win after the way he was embarrassed by Titan Attack last week. He tries to show confidence by sizing up to the huge Warfare and shouts up to him “your size doesn’t scare me, I am stronger than you and I’ve got Arsenal to cut you down to size”. Warfare mugs him off with a response of “stronger than me? I’ll give you that. You smell strong. The odour you’re giving off could knock down wild horses. Must be getting too pally with Mutant”. Splatter angrily steps back so he can take a full swing with Arsenal. Warfare just about avoids. Splatter then releases his weapon and engages Warfare. A few moves are exchanged but inevitably the action soon spills outside. The fans are getting ready for what should be an epic battle that could go anywhere. Anticipation soon dashed as Splatter picked his weapon back up off the runway and let Warfare have MEET ARSENAL. No avoiding this time. Strikes right across the back of the skull. Warfare goes down like a lead balloon and he’s pinned on the spot. Tough loss to take. Showed inexperience. Warfare was doing well for a while this year but now the bubble has burst. Desolation Factor dismantled Transformer. Desolation Factor can have a tendency to be very inconsistent. It would not be unlike them to stumble here straight after a big win over the Gladiators. Transformer are another team you are not sure what you’re going to get. As it turns out Desolation Factor seems to be on a roll as they completely destroy Transformer. Able to win in just 4 moves after RACKED AND RUINED on Nth Degree. Total squash. Supernova handled Sniper. Supernova took some time to get over the trauma of the Nightmare Matrix match with Rouser. Not the loss but it was the disturbing images she endured. Showing no desire to step in the ring with Rouser it is back to battling the ladies. At least it’s a successful return as she manages to beat Sniper via SPEED OF LIGHT. Amazing really to think Sniper could not be pinned so long and now in a short space of time it’s happened twice.
Lance At-Las over Draconian Sheik by DQ. Now the fans know Lance has adopted Centra as his forever home he is one of the most popular wrestlers around. They cheer his every move and rejoice at the end as he grabs a deserved DQ victory. No surprise that the reason for it was the Terrorists conducting an attack. Luckily they spared Lance as he wasn’t savaged too badly.
