'STARS OF THE GALAXY - VOLUME 11’ released.
It’s another edition available to purchase on digital download or free to GWF.com subscribers. The usual light heartedness (kind of, as one segment provokes an 18 certificate and condemnation among the PBC) in the form of several vignettes and 8 not previously seen matches PARTY GAMES - GWF wrestlers despite the CPC backdrop still showing they know how to have fun. They work hard and play hard. Dreggs and Mace organise a team bonding night out for many of the heroes. There’s drinking games and Supernova even organises a fun game of spin the bottle. She keeps trying to get it to land on Pegasus. Wildcat has a go with the women but when Wolf wanders accidentally to the edge of the circle and it points at him. The horrified looks are priceless. Even Lord Nexus let his hair down and has one too many. Scion Nexus makes sure the camera crew gets a shot of his dribbling father asleep in a corner surrounded by bottles. He jokes to the crew “Dad struggles to stay the pace. Better let him get his beauty sleep”. Special mention has to go to Mace who is in much better spirits these days and just about drinks everyone under the table. It’s good to see the wrestlers socialising like this and kind of a camaraderie that will help see them through this potential CPC crisis. It’s a shame the villains don’t share the same values but as has been said many times before there is no honour among thieves … CPC CONTROVERSY - Not sure how this got out. Maybe intentionally leaked. The scene is from a meeting room at Pelf Palace. The shot pans around the beautiful room adorned with priceless artefacts. At the centre is a mahogany desk at which Dynamo is sat opposite Magnus Colby and Sonora Pelf. Reynard B. Guile is skulking around by the doorway. It’s the tail end of the conversation and Dynamo is heard to say “okay, okay you win. I’ll do the match but I’m not happy about it. He is my friend. I kind of hope he still will be after this but I will challenge him at a GWF card if that’s what you want”. Colby stands up and leans into Dynamo “I don’t give a s**t about that friendship stuff. You want to be a part of the CPC in the future then you’ll do as we tell you. We tell you to take a dump, beat up on your own family or whatever then you just do it”. Then the feed cuts out. The match becomes part of this exclusive release, read the match summaries below … PEST CONTROL - Johnny Rocket maybe winning a few fans with his resistance towards the CPC but let no one forget he is still a toe-rag and a villain manager with questionable values. As if to prove the point on what side he is still on he films this promo against the Savage Kingdom. Calling them a team of disgusting rats and brings out some rodent kill, “this stuff will take out a Mammoth. One sniff and that vermin Mollock will be on life support. Let me demonstrate”. He walks up, holding a can, to a chained beast reported to be on the Savage Kingdom’s radar for capture, homing and taming. The feathered thing must be 10 feet tall and gnaws aggressively at its chains. It certainly doesn’t look the sort of thing that could ever be introduced to society. Johnny walks towards it smiling and sprays a tiny amount in its direction. The beast sniffs at the air and falls unconscious within a few seconds. It’s ultimate fate is unclear but this segment is the primary reason this release got a certificate 18 rating and reminds us all of what a scum bag Johnny is. The Protection of Beasts Community (PBC) together with the Galactic Wildlife Fund condemn the act and tries, unsuccessfully, to prosecute Johnny and the GWF … THE WORKAHOLIC - It’s late at night. Tonight the same as any other night Star Warrior is sat in his father’s old office. Workaholic stuff studying everything. His brother, Alpha Force, sticks his head in to say goodnight. Star Warrior barely acknowledged, a mere wave of the hand. As he taps away at his touchscreen computer Star Warrior speaks to himself “I had no idea this manager stuff was so tough. There’s so much to do. No wonder Dad was so keen to retire”. Just then he receives a call on his wristwatch presumably from his wife. By the sounds of it she isn’t happy that he is late again and barely spending anytime with his family. Star Warrior says “you don’t understand, this CPC stuff is serious and if our team doesn’t step up who knows what could happen. The GWF is our livelihood”. She hangs up leaving Star Warrior momentarily chatting to himself before he realises there’s nobody at the end of the line. The shot fades with Star Warrior’s head in his hands and uttering “this is stressful stuff” … PRANKSTER - Traditional Earth April Fool’s day joke. Back when it was Commander Sam’s birthday his team bought him one of those DNA testing kits to help piece together your family tree. Well they convinced him to send it off and today Adam has intercepted the gift box containing the results. He presents it to Sam whilst he is having dinner. Poor Sam nearly chokes on his food when he looks through the book and then at the certificate. He has Cygnusian blood! Sam starts to turn crimson and is just about to throw his plate against the wall when the whole team shout in unison APRIL FOOL. Sam just about reins in his anger and sees the funny side. Adam comes over and pats him on the back and the pair of them start chuckling.
New Order way too good for Transevolver. Doomsayer remembers all too well the feud his team, Entropy, waged with WAR a few years back. With many feuds the animosity never truly disappears. That certainly has a lot of influence behind this meeting. Plus he was keen to test Transevolver against a team that, deep down, he thinks is only second to the Gladiators in the GWF at the moment. Doomsayer will never admit to placing New Order on that kind of pedestal but it would be a good barometer and opportunity to see whether his team can realistically pursue the GWF tag belts. Or whether they should stay well away from that goal and just focus on keeping the CPC variants. That in itself would probably be just enough to keep his employers happy. With all that in mind the result was interesting as New Order completely blew Transevolver away. Monad was almost pinned on the second move. He recovered briefly but committed suicide by going for a deathjump. Dreggs easily threw him down and then fed him to Mace. First he was slammed with MACE’S LITTLE HELPER. Dreadnaught managed to give Monad a chance by smashing Mace down. Normally it would be a battle between both guys down to see who would get up first and be on L3O dependent on lowest pin rating including fatigue. But it’s a no contest. Mace is streets ahead in that respect. He brushes off Dreadnaught’s attack and soon tags Dreggs to start DECIMATION. Zero chance for Monad unless someone does something. Doomsayer takes it on this time but Dreggs easily took him down before planting one last move on Monad which was the Dreggs Killer Drop. Then goes for the cover to finish the match up. That was just too easy. Before leaving, a groggy Doomsayer makes Destructon 3000 an offer “don’t ever hesitate to come and see me if you want that buggy firmware in your brain upgraded. I could do wonderful things for you”. Destructon 3000 looks like he wants to throw Doomsayer across the floor but his inhibitors are on so he just twitches uncomfortably. Can you imagine how fatal something like that could be, a mind altered Destructon 3000 working for the CPC? Hopefully that will never happen. For now Doomsayer must deal with the rubble of this defeat. It will hurt a lot because of the manner of it. His team was so inferior.
Alpha Force is faultless in beating Heracles. Part of the ROAD TO GALACTICON. Heracles is set to face old rival Colussus again. Calls this a warm up for that match in his promo by taking on Colussus’s new best mate. Says Alpha Force is well past his best and shouldn’t pose any challenge, “the guy has been around so long he is stinking up the GWF. But at least he is not some kind of cyborg freak like Colussus. Maybe we should of made this more interesting. If he wins then he can come and bathe with Anaxis and my other maidens. If I win then his sister, Supernova, must bathe with me alone. Just me and her”. Alpha Force responds “Heracles is a disgusting individual who has no respect for women. He just sees them as objects of pleasure. He better be careful and watch his tongue. One well placed kick and I can ruin all that for him. His ‘bathing’ days will be at a swift end”. After all that banter it all starts very strange. Anaxis and Star Warrior are both at ringside. Anaxis starts a seduction on Star Warrior offering a massage. She won’t take no for an answer and keeps putting her hands on him. Star Warrior struggles to ignore it and eventually pushes her away. Heracles immediately left the ring and smashed Star Warrior with OLYMPIA. Star Warrior didn’t expect the move and took a nasty collision. Heracles warns him the same will happen at GALACTICON if he touched Anaxis again. Of course Alpha Force wasn’t about to stand idly by. He mounted the turnbuckle and waited for Heracles to turn around before taking him out with a cross body. Heracles broke his fall perfectly and the momentum of which also took Anaxis out. The bell hadn’t even been rung by this point so there was no danger of a DQ. The casualties meant Alpha Force was able to start on the front foot and aside for a brief run of offence from Heracles it was pretty much one way traffic. Alpha Force at his brilliant best. Throwing everything at Heracles and not relenting until he was down for good. Needed 5 fatigue tokens but a second delivery of TOMAHAWK THRUST at this juncture meant Heracles wouldn’t be much good for anything tonight. Despite the battering Heracles was trying to put a positive spin on it by claiming the only way Alpha Force was able to do what he did was because of the way he injured Anaxis. The worrying for her meant Heracles wasn’t able to think straight and that when facing Colussus things would be very different. Heracles worrying about someone other than himself, we’ve heard it all now!
Jack of Diamonds keeps Malice in the doldrums. An Aethran low on confidence is not something that often gets written, if ever. However that’s exactly the state with which to describe Malice. He cannot win for love nor money these days. He has 5 defeats in a row all in 2105 (or 6 if you include his loss when partnering Vengeance against New Order). His march towards the ring is purposeful but the eyes say it all. No intensity and they are scooting around, looking eveywhere but also nowhere. Even a bead of sweat runs down his face disturbing the Gladiator war paint. As soon as they start it’s more of the same. Wrestling well within himself until he is certain Jack is hurt. It’s only at this point he finally turns the key to get the engine revving. Jack looks doomed as Malice gets things going but he isn’t going guy anywhere fast. Resists a couple of pin attempts and then encouraged by his father’s words decided to go for broke. It was the nudge he needed and amazingly has Malice rocking. What a turnaround. The young Gladiator was totally unprepared for this and cannot fend Jack off. The pin attempts against him start to happen and Jack goes optimistically for his DIAMOND CUT. Not once but twice and incredibly it works out for him. Malice is a split second too late with his kickout and slumps to yet another defeat. This is remarkable. The critics are all coming out the woodwork now. Suggesting maybe this new generation of Gladiators isn’t all its cracked up to be and the Aethrans are losing their fear factor. The ramifications of such suggesting and the bringing of shame onto the Gladiators could be huge for Malice if he doesn’t sort this out fast.
Titan Fury reminds everyone of their ability by beating the Stormtroopers. Titan Fury have hardly wrestled so far this year and were needing some action to maintain their high ranking. Even in the recent Titan Battlezone victory over the Masked Assassins they were hardly seen. Dragonmaster’s time in the ring was brief and Rising Sun was anchoring and didn’t see any action. Part of the reason they haven’t been seen too much is Dragonmaster has been involved in some media projects and also been struggling with some injuries. He has admitted wear and tear from almost 20 years of wrestling is beginning to show itself on his body. He has certainly been through a lot in his GWF career. The Stormtroopers themselves aren’t exactly in the flush of youth. These two guys have seen a lot and been through more gimmicks than most of us have had hot dinners. So with that in mind we have two teams hungry to pick up a win and stay near the top as time is probably not on their side. It took a long, long time to get going. The first few minutes were dull as dishwater but once the first big action started it all really picked up. That was when DAY OF THE DRAGON was performed against Hammer. Incredibly he kicked out. Dragonmaster then almost immediately bodged a deathjump and is on the end of STORMTROOPER BLITZ as a result. Has Rising Sun to thank for getting him out that fix. The Titans then surge back again. This time toppling Powerhouse with their finisher. Hammer gives some of their own medicine back by intervening but is powerless to do anything on the next move. Dragonmaster applied COBRA NERVE STOPPER to Powerhouse whilst Rising Sun cleared Hammer out of the ring with a spinning back kick. He went flying straight into Cassandra. The crowd roars with approval. Back inside the ring Powerhouse cannot break the hold and soon submits.
Dynamo beats Brainstorm in a squash. Baffling to have a match between two guys on the same team. It is merely explained that it’s a friendly test to see who will become the team’s leader and as Johnny Rocket also explains “they are both so highly ranked that whoever wins will get a huge rankings boost”. That last piece doesn’t wash at all and of course with what we saw in the previous vid we know there is a whole new motive behind this. The CPC is trying to cause disruption in what they see as one of the nuisance teams. Brainstorm stokes things up straight away by saying Dynamo has more muscles than brain cells. Plus he has far more women after him “at the risk of sounding oafish I am having to beat the ladies away with a sh*tty stick. They all want a piece of Brainstorm. Darla also adores me and will do anything I ask. Add to that Maxine Babe keeps begging me to be her boyfriend too. Dynamo could only ever get that weirdo Cassandra and even she left him”. Comments that are not in the spirit of what is a ‘friendly’ test. Probably served to fire Dynamo up if anything as it becomes embarrassing from Brainstorm. With barely a minute on the clock he is trapped in MUSCLE RIPPER. Darla worried for Brainstorms begs the referee to stop the match. Dynamo, if he is trying to sell himself to the CPC, has done his chances no harm with this walkover.
Wildcat overcame Grunge by DQ. Grunge is sporting a huge shiner. Brawling in a bar the previous night is the reason. It all started because the barman had shouted ‘last orders’ which upset a very drunk Grunge. He jumped over the bar and tried to start drinking direct from the tap. When the barman pulled him away Grunge went for a swing but he was seeing four of the guy and took an air shot. Next thing he knew he was being laid out with a punch in the face by one of the bouncers. That’s pretty f****d up and a classic example of why X-Termination doesn’t always realise their potential. Wildcat attempts to take advantage of Grunge’s sorry state. Hunter’s Moon hasn’t done as well as hoped as a tag team and with Vyper’s singles form being so good they’ve stalled. Maybe a run at the CPC Cruiserweight belt could be on the cards if Wildcat does well against similar weighted guys. Beating Grunge would be perfect. However even with a stinking hangover Grunge holds most of the control. Repeated hits with KILLER AIR GUITAR leaves Wildcat on the brink. But then Grunge throws Wildcat out of the ring and gets too hardcore for the referees liking. He’s lucky Mollock doesn’t react to his taunts but when he then planted Wildcat into the ring steps it was over. No doubt the alcohol still in the blood clouded his judgement. Johnny Rocket complains vociferously about the decision but life can be a b*tch sometimes and the decision is upheld.
The Creeper beat Mutant by count-out. A popular and regular inclusion of this release. It always helps push the sales but because CPC has already been promoting a cage match between them on its next card the appetite for this plain old ‘regular’ match is muted somewhat. Nonetheless it’s always good to see them go at it. Becomes the usual bite, scratch and slap pattern and then rinse and repeat. It’s a formula that works. On this occasion the Creepers wins on a count-out. Inevitable out of ring brawl where Mutant crashed into a droid waste basket. The contents spilled onto the floor and there is was so much half eaten food that Mutant was never going to be coaxed back to the ring.
Supernova takes a trip down easy street in beating Maxine Babe. In just a couple of minutes she wins via SPEED OF LIGHT. Maxine was a real misery guts as officials make her wear something more appropriate. She had tried to wrestle in a bikini thong. With her mind more on her costume than the match it made her easy pickings for Supernova.

Latest News:
Just wanted to chime in and say how much I am enjoying playing 2105. I read many feds on the forum and it’s very hard not to be jealous of all those caught up in 2137 and writing such great stuff. I so want to join them but I remain determined to do it properly and maybe one day I will get there. It’s tough juggling both CPC and GWF with all the posturing for the various belts. But for now my creative juices are flowing. At least well enough for me. But I am grateful for everyone that comments and gives encouragement. Thanks to them I also feel as involved in the present day, as I do my current year, as I get to enjoy all the incredible stuff that is posted. I hope I can give a little back with some retro GWF reporting. It’s no secret that Krakan has been peddling his Hitman services to Mandrill and they are very close to striking a deal. Nobody knows for sure but the CPC are still the expected targets although it could be that Mandrill wants to work the Gladiators into the equation as they aren’t conforming to his plans. This is the possible reason this deal is taking such a long time to reach fruition. In the meantime matches between Rebel Empire and the Mercenaries have continued unabated. Aside from the obvious benefit of pushing the two teams into the GWF spotlight and maintaining a high ranking it is likely the ‘feud’ is seen as a smokescreen to this background deal. But they ain’t fooling anyone if that’s the intention. Commissioner Guile saw fit to make comment on the possible targeting of the CPC “it would be a mistake if the Hitmen were to target us and jeopardise relations for the future. If they do end up putting out a contract on us it is of no concern. We have the resources to cope”. Sounds like maybe the CPC might use the Outcasts team as fodder and keep the more senior teams of the Penthouse Suite and Transevolver out of the line of fire if possible. If the Outcasts are used then the team will need to improve rapidly as their results have been pretty bad at times. Chaos fiddles around with his team. His intent to capture the CPC Heavyweight belt had stalled with Terminus putting up a roadblock. But he was still, inside his head, the saviour of the GWF and wanted his whole team to be thought of as such. Therefore, earlier in the month, he put Heracles and Skinhead together as a tag team. Their registered name at GWF HQ, whether they liked it or not, is the Saviours of the Federation. Not sure they’ll want to play along and this could be pretty short lived as Chaos will surely lose interest in pushing them once he gets fully back on track himself. Which he might just be about to do having, at long last, beaten Terminus clean at Pelf Palace of all places. The CPC is still refusing to confirm it to keep everyone guessing but word on the street is that he will get his title match with Janus. There are two reasons it’s likely to happen as it will be very tough to hang onto that small thread of credibility if they deny him having just beaten their Interstellar champion. Also if Janus ends up beating him it would burst the bubble big time. Chaos might never bother them again. Must also mention there is also a huge meeting between Chaos and the Matador incoming. The entire Penthouse Suite is committed to a tag match at GALACTICON itself (more details further down the newsfeed) so this meeting will take centre stage at the COUNTDOWN show instead. At any other time it would be a main event but there is so much going on that remarkably it has to play second fiddle to other events. Johnny Rocket confronts Dynamo about his fraternising with and attempting to join the CPC and threatens to throw him off the Rocketmen team. Dynamo somehow gets him off the scent by saying he was testing Colby and Pelf out. He knows how much contempt Johnny has for the CPC and it was an attempt to go in as an undercover mole and get insider knowledge. Hopefully to also find out more about Paragon. Johnny buys it and is calling it a masterstroke idea even though it didn’t work out and no nuggets of info were offered. Is Dynamo being sincere or are his intentions murky? At the moment he is being hounded by the wrestling media. Everyone wants to hear his story relating to the meeting with Colby and Pelf but he is going down the ‘no comment’ route.
What is going on with Genocide? Two losses in the same month. First to Painmaster and then to Death’s Head. Buck Steele tells everyone not to worry. That Genocide isn’t unbeatable and sometimes these things can happen. The main thing on his mind is that Mandrill and the Colonizers don’t achieve their domination aspirations. That’s all well and good but the fans are now doubting this monster and it’s abilities to stand up to them. There have been other losses over the years too. Chaos, Ram, Painmaster and Manslaughter have all previously beaten Genocide clean before 2105. For something branded as an unstoppable force it’s not what has been expected. The same can also be said of Malice who suffers two more losses this month. First too Talisman and then Jack of Diamonds. Two guys whom he’d be expected to blow away. After the way he tore things up in his debut year and almost single handedly drove the Gladiators to their obliterating of the Hitmen it is almost unbelievable. He carries the sorry stat of being 0-6 so far in 2105. If you included his losing effort whilst tag teaming with Vengeance it makes even worse reading at 0-7.
Counting down the days to GALACTICON 19. Will the CPC try and undermine the biggest the event of the year? Or use it as a stage to show how superior their wrestlers are? The biggest new news is that the GWF goes down the route of booking the FDF to take on the Penthouse Suite in a 6 man elimination match. It sounded logical that the Champions would be the team stepping up so this is a bit of a curve ball. Becoming a slap in the face for Star Warrior who wants to build his managerial CV and desperately hoped to pit his Champions against them. He tooks the news with good grace and wishes Commander Sam luck but inwardly must be unhappy the FDF is getting pushed above his team. Sam is already preparing hard for this. Pushing his troops and making them get up bright and early to train. It’s not something the likes of Jack of Diamonds and Killer Queen are used to and has become a bit of a culture shock. They are towing the line and trying their best to keep up. Even the buckets of ice cold water as alarm calls at the Commander Camps aren’t getting to them, at least not yet! Of course all this pales in significance to arguably the biggest match (although it’s not been confirmed as the main event as that is usually reserved for the Heavyweight belt contest) which is WAR against the Gladiators in an Aethran Ultimate Escape match. The Gladiators had to do something to try and bring this feud back their way and winning this will certainly do so. The big matches keep on coming with Blade-Blazing Skull also announced. It’s a moment Archon has been dreading but he cannot hold Blade back forever. The first meeting with Blazing Skull will finally happen. Everyone will be holding their breath. Prodigy then faces his ex partner Skinhead again. He is the only CPC guy not involved in the match with the FDF due to uneven numbers. Prodigy vows to prove his ‘superiority’ again. Due to the Penthouse Suite-FDF match a few of the Champions team were at a loose end. However that is soon remedied for Colussus as he signs to face old nemesis Heracles. That’ll be a Titan Death match to make it interesting. Then Alpha Force gets some good news as he is surprisingly named #1 contender for the IP belt. Of course another match known for a while is Rebel Empire and Genesis Prime who are facing for the first time too. But next up get this, Mandrill and Chaos will team up to battle Transevolver. That is huge. The two top villains actually working together. It could very easily come apart at the seams. Massif will be brought in to referee and try to keep some semblance of order. Finally we have plenty of titles on the line as the Heavyweight belt and IP belt will be contested. Pegasus faces Mayhem. It wasn’t that long ago that Mayhem tried and failed to beat Pegasus for the belt (#875). But since that time Mayhem has been incredible and beaten Bishop Hell, Wolf and Mandrill. Plus he has that amazing 1 move win over Splatter under his belt from this year. It was a no brainer to give him another title tilt. He might be about the only guy around who can come close to ending Pegasus’s run. It will take something special though as Pegasus has just been supreme in everything he does. Mayhem is already talking lots. His opening outburst is “the only butterflies in my stomach are the ones I’ve eaten for getting in my way. Pegasus will be destroyed. He ain’t hardcore enough to hang with me”. Painmaster looks to keep his impressive run as IP champion going by defending against Alpha Force. It’s a step down from what Alpha Force is used to but he is realistic and thinks this is the level he should be competing for now. He told GWI.com after receiving the news “I am delighted. It’s a bit unexpected as I have lost a few matches. Maybe my past rep rather than form came into their thinking. But I am happy because I think the IP belt is important and hope both major singles titles can be brought into our team. I don’t think the Heavyweight belt is in my future. Of course if I ever get offered a shot at it I am not going to turn it down but I won’t be banging on the door of the Commissioner’s office about it”. Star Warrior knows Sentry will be back as a ringside threat and announces his intention to get involved in the match should circumstances require it (a kind of ‘use it or lose it’ approach to whether to interfere). So that’s 9 matches confirmed but rest assured there will be more to come.
Before all that there will be the traditional COUNTDOWN TO GALACTICON show which was touched on earlier and that’s not short on action either. Cassandra steps forward to challenge Anaxis for the ladies belt after she mysteriously missed out last month. They were once friends but when there is a belt available that all goes out the window. Hopefully she’ll give a better contest than Ms. Liberty did. In fairness to the ladies it’s the undercard getting most of the attention. The meeting of Chaos, who might by then be CPC Heavyweight champion, against the Matador is the stand out. There is a distinct possibility that if he dethrones Janus at Pelf Palace the week before this might be turned into a CPC title match at late notice. In fact if the CPC is smart they might get that written into the contract Chaos is set to sign with Janus. Imagine that. A CPC belt being defended on a dedicated GWF show. It could happen. Vyper reacts angrily to his request for a title shot being denied. He cannot believe a run of 3 wins in 4 matches that included big casualties (Malice, Dark Justice and Draconian Sheik) isn’t considered enough. Especially when Alpha Force got fast tracked to the #1 contender spot in the IP bracket with a questionable recent record. Commissioner Grogan didn’t even give any consideration or answer to it initially so it didn’t even get a card roll. Vyper has always walked a heel-ish tightrope despite his popularity and doesn’t hesitate to confront Grogan. Pays a visit to GWF HQ on Deimos and it was only then that Grogan gives the courtesy of a response. It wasn’t much of one though. He didn’t even open the door of his office but grumpily shouted through “it is what it is. Your not ranked high enough. Now go away before I call security”. Vyper rants to GWI.com “what does Grogan know about titles? He never won one in his days a wrestler. The guy is corrupt as they come and unfit to act as Commissioner. He is on the payroll of the CPC I tell you. I ought to pay a visit to his home and slip a snake through the letterbox”. Vyper is immediately suspended for 4 cards for this slanderous outburst. That’s not good as it means he is out of GALACTICON which ironically will impact his ranking.
In the background to everything the GWF acronym has been part of a legal battle in recent months. The Galactic Wildlife Fund has used the abbreviation for over half a century and had decided to try and get exclusive rights. Funny that after all this time it becomes an issue. With rumoured encouragement and backing from Mr. Colby and Ms. Pelf this is why they have been challenging for sole ownership of the name. The battle has appeared sporadically in the news headlines in the past few weeks. For a while there was a concern the challenge would be successful and the fed was preparing for an urgent rebrand to the GWA (Galaxian Wrestling Association). This could of been catastrophic in light of the growing popularity of the CPC and the fed’s decreasing revenue. Thankfully the judge overseeing the case could see no reason to block usage of the GWF by both entities and threw the case out. Hopefully there is no appeal and this doesn’t come up again in the future. Even Terak, who naturally has very close relations to the Galactic Wildlife Fund, was baffled and disappointed with their actions. He is convinced of CPC involvement. There is relief though that the GWF, as we know it, lives to fight another day.
In other news iOS 100.9 is still as buggy as sh*t. Predictive text mix up nearly starts another war between Earth and Cygnus. President Lincoln II texted Mangus, now one of the most senior ranking officials of Cygnus, congratulations on his new political position. Wanting to maintain good relations and ongoing peace. But the iOS saw fit to change “great decision. I know you’ll do well. Let’s meet up and discuss the future”to “hate the decision. I hope you go to hell. Let’s beat each other up in the future” before dropping its connection rendering any corrective reply impossible. It caused massive political tension and President Lincoln ended up having to do some big time grovelling and ass kissing to diffuse this. Understandably he was furious with Apple. As usual Apple declined comment and Tim Cook’s great, great, great grandson took his usual multi-billion dollar bonus for doing very little and remains second to Magnus Colby in the cosmic rich list. INJURED – Vertigo minor injury all year; SUSPENDED – Vyper (4)
WRESTLER OF THE MONTH: PAINMASTER – any win over Genocide should make headlines. The fact it was a second win over him in the career of Painmaster makes it extra special. He beat Genocide just over 100 cards ago on #781 in a Brass Knuckles match and does it again on #882. It wouldn’t even of mattered if Painmaster had then gone and lost the IP belt two weeks later to Prodigy (not that he did). He was always going to be a shoe in for this award after that achievement. TAG TEAM OF THE MONTH: GENESIS PRIME – it’s not always about the results. They finished the month with a win and a loss. It’s the heart they are showing in trying to bounce back from the terrible injuries Vertigo suffered. The performance against the Ninja Assassins shows they are as ready as they can be for their much awaited first clash with Rebel Empire. Should be a great match as two teams in good form go at it not to mention all the emotional baggage that comes with it.

Card 885 - Mizar Solarsphere:
Pegasus squashed Painmaster in a non-title match with nobody allowed at ringside. Champ against champ although no belts were put on the line. In fact it’s not been given too much of a build up. The events that led to this match categorised as a storm in a teacup. Both had bickered at the previous show over the last hover car waiting to whisk the wrestlers away to a nearby function. Feeling that as champions they each a god given right to it. In the end Painmaster got the ride with the aid of a distraction leaving Pegasus to walk. Sometimes there are just silly stories that lead to things. Pegasus wanted a chance to punish Painmaster. Of course the opportunity to claim such a big scalp was not lost on Painmaster and he immediately accepted the challenge. Although he wasn’t too keen on the fine print that forbade anyone being at ringside. He was banking on Sentry’s involvement to give him a fighting chance. It became a match to forget for him. Pegasus was in top form. Quickly countering Painmaster’s early offence. A little trip into the ring post then set Painmaster up for PROJECT PEGASUS and that was it. Pegasus had needed a mere 6 moves to get this dealt with. He doesn’t hang around to celebrate. Shoots Painmaster a little glance as if to say “now you know your place” before hightailing out of there.
Max Shield beats Draconian Sheik by DQ. Max was relieved to come out as the winner. He couldn’t get to grips with Drac’s unpredictable style at all. A loss was looming until the Terrorists decided to attack him outside the ring. Mercifully it didn’t lead to anything too sinister and Max emerged injury free.
Heracles overcame Dragonmaster. DM still trying to hang at the top end despite his visible slowdown. Unfortunately realisation sets in as Heracles swats him away quite easily. Using OLYMPIA to end it.
The Stormtroopers defeated Royal Court. Killer Queen struggled and was the weak spot. He was finished off with STORMTROOPER BLITZ. Jack of Diamonds was frustrated at the outcome and challenges the Stormtroopers to a rematch ASAP.
Rebel Empire crushed Hunter’s Moon. Dominating display from the new Colonizer team. Nefarus took a backseat as Vendetta pummelled Wildcat. He used THE BIG FALL to put Wildcat out his misery.
Dreadnaught goes over Blade. After withstanding a ferocious early battering Blade threatened an upset. However Dreadnaught’s latest dose of the Transevolver bears fruit as he is able to eventually win via a second GUIDED MISSILE.
Card 886 – Pelf Palace:
The belt merry go round sees the Cruiserweight title being kept out of the line of fire. Commissioner Guile says there are no worthy challengers ‘which is a shame’. With guys like Enigma and Wildcat on the GWF roster that sounds like a load of nonsense. However tonight the some of the CPC titles are seriously under threat. There are some very strong challengers and it would be a total surprise if at least one doesn’t change hands (even allowing for biased officiating or unavoidable ‘human error’ as Commissioner Guile likes to call it). CPC Heavyweight champ, Janus, humiliated Chaos in just 2 moves. The build up to Chaos finally challenging for the CPC belt feels like it’s taken forever. It’s been a tough path with Terminus proving a very tricky obstacle to him. But he eventually negotiated it and now the night to challenge has arrived. All the dignitaries look very edgy about what is to come. Commissioner Guile flicks a pen nervously whilst Colby and Pelf sit stone faced. About the most relaxed guy around is Thantos. His experience counts for a lot in moments like this. He calmly speaks to Janus before stepping back from the ring. Janus then moves towards Chaos and carefully unbelted. The ref is quick as lightening to take it away and place the precious object onto a velvet cushion on the announcer’s table which is heavily guarded by CPC staff. There is a great stand off before they lock horns. Janus goads Chaos “wherever there’s a title you are always there. Like a fly buzzing round sh*t. You’d compete for a pair of trousers if they had a belt on them”. To which Chaos replies “so you’re describing yourself as sh*t? Sounds about right to me”. The bell then goes and suddenly about a minute later it’s all over. Chaos wanted immediate control and forcefully threw Janus towards the ropes with the first move. He gets caught with a sunset slip as Janus comes back. Easily bursts out pin attempt but before he has got up to compose himself again Janus is over him with GORDION KNOT. This is a rare instance of where the huge frame of Chaos works against him. His large arms give Janus plenty of leverage. Janus yanks at them for all he is worth. There is no breaking free for Chaos. Tried to withstand it as long as he could. Thantos knows he is toast and grabs the CPC belt from the table. Sliding it under the bottom rope just far enough for Chaos to smell the precious metals. It’s the ultimate torment and almost as if that’s the straw that breaks the camel’s back for Chaos now submits. Janus basks in the glow of an incredible victory. He is proving to be a very worthy champion for the CPC and so far easily dealing with anything the GWF comes at him with. A small section of GWF fans inside the Palace, they’d been thrust into a dark corner with a poor view, start a chant. It’s very clear who they think is the man to take it to Janus as the name ‘Pegasus, Pegasus’ rings out. Chaos would of hated hearing that as he trudges away saying nothing. He’s got a match with the Matador next so needs to dust himself down and bounce back quickly. Otherwise he’s going well down the card. New Order shocks Transevolver to win the CPC Tag belts. A shock challenge emerges from New Order. If they succeed it will stick in the throat of X-Termination who have been trying so hard to get the CPC tag belts. Although the teams are no longer officially feuding there is no love lost. New Order recently beat Transevolver at a GWF venue. Doomsayer found that hard to live with and wanted a rematch. Destructon 3000 cleverly said “only if you put the CPC belts on the line”. Commissioner Guile begrudgingly agreed after Doomsayer assured him New Order would pose no problems despite losing big to them last time, he added “it could be much worse. Imagine if the Gladiators come knocking”. Added to that on ‘home’ turf Transevolver are expected to be a different proposition. So that’s the background and now onto the match. Starts pretty well for Transevolver. Dreadnaught looking pretty good against Mace and has him on the ropes after a Nuclear Warhead. It’s a failed pin attempt but a perfect time to tag out and let Monad run wild on L3O with his devastating offence. Except Monad inexplicably goes to the top rope for a move and gets thrown down. It’s all downhill from this point on. Neither Doomsayer nor Dreadnaught can stop him falling to TWIST AND SHOUT. With that this becomes the first championship this year to move between the two wrestling ‘bodies’. If looks could kill as Commissioner Guile shoots Doomsayer a stare from balcony. New Order take hold of their titles quickly. Within a few hours Doomsayer uses Spacebook to vow that they will be doing everything possible to retrieve the belts from the thieving New Order. He is desperate to save face. CPC Interstellar champ, Terminus, knocks back the challenge of Pulsar. Better late than never. Pulsar finally gets a fair crack of the whip. Well maybe not but at least it’s a title shot after being cruelly glossed over last month. Unbelievably the ref warns Lord Nexus beforehand “no funny business”. Lord Nexus does one questionable thing in the last 20 odd years and now his card is marked. Sounded like an excuse to try and pull the famous CPC DQ stunt. Something both Pulsar and Lord Nexus needed to be very guarded on was the possibility of Bishop Hell showing up. The Bishop has had a lot to say for himself as this show approached including a warning to Pulsar that their feud is far from over and Pelf Palace was the perfect the place to take it to the next level. Makes life tough for Lord Nexus who has one eye on the match and Thantos and another on the Bishop’s possible arrival. Maybe all this played on the mind of Pulsar. As he gets beaten fairly easily by Terminus. An early Aran Power Drop gave Terminus a shot on L3O and he doesn’t waste it. Moves in with HAMMERLOCK SLAM and takes the victory. Some fans later got on Pulsar’s Flutter feed and asked why he didn’t deploy ACID RAIN. Pulsar said he never got anything like the required momentum to try. Needs a guy to be down and that’s something Terminus never was. Besides he was never going to get away with it here. It’s almost like a casino with eyes everywhere. Buck Steele/Genocide beats Matador of M83 by DQ. Matador continues his run of facing the cream of the GWF. Possibility to face Genocide here and of course old rival Chaos awaits next week. His recent failure to beat Pegasus brushed off as a mere fly in the ointment and only delaying the inevitable path to becoming GWF Heavyweight champion again. Win the next two and surely another title shot will await. As Thantos says in the run up “it would be impossible for the crooked GWF to manipulate the rankings and deny him”. Matador is completely dominant over Buck but cannot get him finished without Genocide spawning. Gasps from the balcony as Genocide then launches into the Matador. But they should trust in the Matador’s incredible talent. Even with a lunatic trying to tear him apart he has the moves to stay in control. Inevitably Genocide makes an out of ring excursion. He nearly always does. Thantos decides he better incapacitate Genocide before things can go out of control or the Matador gets injured. The CPC had foreseen the possible danger and rigged up a trapdoor mechanism. Thantos called out and pulls a lever as Genocide comes towards him. Genocide plummeted several feet and a grill slide across over the top of him. He remained caged in the hole until he calmed down and reverted back to Buck. Incredibly the ref’s decision was to DQ the Matador for this episode. He probably got confused and made a mistake. Thantos is annoyed and tries to get the decision reversed. Commissioner Guile comes to ringside to sort things out. He is overheard muttering to Thantos “I am sorry. It was not the intention but it’ll look bad if we overrule the ref. We’ll have to take it on the chin. Will make sure that’s the last time that guy referees here. He is probably pro GWF”. Heracles and Skinhead (aka the Saviours) defeated Mad Jester and Splatter by DQ. This is almost embarrassing. The name really doesn’t suit Heracles and Skinhead at all. It’s not one of Chaos’s great ideas but without a manager he is doing things on a whim. It’s safe to say we probably won’t be seeing this pairing again. Or if they do the name will be retired. With Chaos’s star back on the rise he has already lost interest in promoting the team. But before the team gets abandoned they would have to get through this first. Jester and Splatter could be just about the wildest and most unpredictable tag team ever put together. In typical crazily fashion Jester does a cartwheel towards Heracles and jumps up offering a handshake. Heracles knows he is being spoofed and just grabs the other hand crushing it with his powerful grasp. Jester hops around in pain but forces a release by using the hand carrying the shock device and placing it against the temple of Heracles. Not wanting to be left out Splatter piles in but Skinhead intercepts him and they roll under the bottom rope and begin to brawl. Takes a good few minutes to calm down properly and then Prodigy swings by on the match which understandably agitates Skinhead, says he means no harm and just wants to observe and then maybe after talk. Skinhead tried to ignore him but it gets the better of him and he ends up going nose to nose with his old partner. Insults turn to blows and the two end up brawling up the runway and out of sight. Heracles is left two on one. Under pressure from Jester he bails out but is immediately followed. Jester sees Arsenal and exclaims “I’ve always wanted a go with this” and picks it up. Splatter hates his prized possession being touched by anyone else and attacks Jester. All very weird. The confused official looks up towards Commissioner Guile and shrugs his shoulders. He then signals for the bell. Nobody is quite sure what the outcome is until the announcer informs that the team of Jester and Splatter are the ones being disqualified. That was a total mess of a match.
Bishop Hell burned Blade. Decent match. Bishop Hell strings this out. Although Bishop Hell is now an enemy of Blazing Skull he is not a fan of the Centaurians. They were every bit as responsible as Pulsar for getting him banished from the GWF. His approach nearly leads to him getting fingers burned as Blade grows into things and gives as good as he gets. They were evenly set at a couple of tokens apiece after Blade’s fightback. The Bishop doesn’t want to be part of an upset and manages to find another gear. A relentless flurry of L3O offence culminates with HELLFIRE. Poor Blade didn’t stand a chance after that.
Mutant goes wild over the Creeper in a cage match. CPC pinches one of the mainstays of the GWF. The much loved Mutant-Creeper cage match. It’s short and sweet. Mutant is in one of its ultra wild moods. Latches on with TEMPLE GRINDER and then escapes the cage. Normally it takes a lot more coaxing. The Creeper recovers quickly and instinctively follows. Mutant goes bananas and it’s all too uncomfortably close to the wealthy crowd dominating the best seats in the house. As the two beasts continue their scrap outside of the cage the CPC puts in control measures. Screens temporarily come up from the ground around the crowd for their protection. Then drones are dispersed with high pressure hoses. Both Mutant and the Creeper are blasted to the ground. The drones then move in with collars and chains. Mutant and the Creeper are led away in chains looking like drowned rats. It doesn’t stop them still trying to fight but at least they are under a modicum of control. Nefarus pinned Soldier of Fortune. Although Soldier of Fortune began strong with THE REVENGER he fades. Nefarus is fitter and younger and uses a Cobra Clutch Suplex to put him away.

Card 887 – COUNTDOWN TO GALACTICON – Luna Auditorium:
Tag champs, Thunder and Overkill, too powerful for Titan Fury. With other villain teams reluctant to challenge the might of the Gladiators and many hero tag teams failing to shine it means Titan Fury got the title shot without doing a whole lot. All they had to do was beat the Stormtroopers to earn it. Genesis Prime were actually being considered due to their hitting the ground running after the long lay off but in the end it was considered too much too soon. Especially with a major confrontation against Rebel Empire coming up. Lord Nexus says his team he will make the most this unexpected opportunity and give the Gladiators a big headache. They certainly do that as his team enjoyed a stunning start. Rising Sun comes within a whisker of pinning Overkill. The Titans are really in sync and Overkill just cannot cope with their speed and agility. Lord Nexus knows they need to win this fast before it’s too late. Unfortunately they cannot keep Overkill at bay forever. Dragonmaster gets caught out. An ill fated crossbody attempt sees him caught midair and slammed into the mat. It’s the beginning of the end. A fresh Thunder gets tagged in and destroys Dragonmaster. It’s agonising for Rising Sun to watch as his partner takes THE TEMPEST and TURNBUCKLE TRAP in quick succession. Does his best with the pin saves but unless there is a hot tag then Titan Fury were done for. Sadly Dragonmaster looked in no condition to make any kind of defensive tag and offers no resistance as the Gladiators setup DECAPITATOR. To make sure Rising Sun and Lord Nexus don’t get in the way of the process Thrash comes up behind them both. Unscrews one of the spikes in her shoulder pads. First she drives one into the back of Lord Nexus and then sticks one in the foot of Rising Sun. He drops off the apron clutching his ankle. The ref saw none of this. His eyes were on the Gladiators setting up their finisher. The process goes through uninhibited and Dragonmaster gets smashed. Overkill is so powerful holding him up that he barely steps backwards on the impact of Thunder’s clothesline. All the energy is absorbed into Dragonmaster’s body. Overkill releases and Dragonmaster pathetically drops to the floor whereupon Thunder pins him with his index finger. The commentary team remark on how devastating the Gladiators are looking these days and suggest “poor Dragonmaster is too old for all this. How much more can his body take?” Not that the Gladiators care. They leave the busted up Titans behind and march off. Next victims to be WAR.
Matador of M83 scored a major win over Chaos. There is no doubt Chaos is hurting from his embarrassing failure against Janus at Pelf Palace. The only way he can redeem himself would be to crush the Matador. This match had been craftily arranged by the CPC as an insurance policy. Had Chaos of won their belt this, as per the small print, would of been a title match. Not that it mattered now. It was just a match between two rivals. Many of the crowd were excited for this despite not really knowing who to root for. Cheers in equal measure during the introductions. Then suddenly a hush as Magnus Colby and Sonora Pelf began to make their way to ringside. They’d been allowed to come through unchallenged by GWF personnel. At first Chaos didn't notice them. He was busy trash talking but when he did he immediately diverted his attentions from the Matador and Thantos. Begins shouting at Colby and Pelf “where's Paragon? Bring him on now. I'll pound him to a heap just like I did back in Dimension X. And don’t think your CPC title is safe. Janus scored a fluke”. Sonora Pelf just gave an arrogant smile and walked around the ring perimeter holding hands with Magnus Colby. They completed a couple of circuits and exchanged a few words with Thantos before departing ‘this filthy GWF venue’. Angry GWF fans try to pelt them with food and drinks but they don’t care. Just looked at the peasants with disdain. A fuming Chaos yelled once more towards them "remember I am Chaos the Indestructible. The strongest force in the universe. Nothing can stop me." There was no acknowledgement and they disappeared out of sight. The plan had worked for as soon as Chaos turned back around the Matador was positioned for a Running Torpedo. So forceful was the impact that Chaos staggered back and tangled himself in the ropes. Thantos laughed as Chaos struggled to get free but then gets a shock. Standing too close and Chaos quickly got an arm out and reaches back grabbing Thantos round the throat. All the while the Matador is desperately firing kicks to the gut of Chaos but he won’t let go easily. By the time the Matador forced a release Thantos is coughing and gasping for breath. He takes a while to get himself together again. If the fans were split before they were now firmly on the side of Chaos. It may be a one off but he was enjoying having them behind him and it serves as inspiration to get past that difficult opening. If the Matador did any damage then he certainly wasn’t showing it. At least not yet. Becomes a titanic tussle. Both guys certainly bringing their best to the table. Early big hits mostly coming from Chaos but the Matador expertly avoiding the clutches of BOW OF DEFEAT. This becomes a source of frustration for Chaos and the longer it takes the more time Thantos is having to recover and start becoming influential. It becomes the difference between the two as Matador is able to get away with some stuff outside the ring. Leads into a BULLWHIP attempt. Chaos doesn’t sell the move at all but in a delayed reaction a few minutes later starts slowing down. Maybe the beating right at the start was now setting into his pain sensors. Thantos instructs the Matador “he’s getting weak. Go for the kill”. Without hesitation the Matador tries his finisher again and this time Chaos cannot respond. The Matador seals a major win on GWF turf against arguably one of its greatest ever. He’s surely coming for the Heavyweight belt again. Doesn’t matter who it will be holding it, whether it be Pegasus or Mayhem, the CPC plan to hold both major titles is looking as if it could be on track.
Cassandra shocked Anaxis to become the new Ladies champion. After giving way to Ms. Liberty last month Cassandra finally steps up to the plate for her big shot at the ladies belt. The two women had shared an alliance in the past as the Enchantresses but that doesn’t stop them being all catty with each other in the build up. Anaxis poking fun at Cassandra’s goth dominatrix look. Cassandra biting back that Anaxis is nothing more than a slave prostitute to Heracles and that she will scratch her eyes out if it means getting the ladies title. The aggressive talk serves as a prelude to some real aggression in the ring. Although Anaxis has some fancy moves they are not putting out the fire in Cassandra’s belly. When the pendulum swings, as it nearly always does, Cassandra goes for it big time. She nearly pinned Anaxis after WHIPS AND CHAINS. A nanosecond away. But she is determined and does the move again and again. It’s still a surprise even after that when it leads to the pin but after all these years Cassandra deserves it. Things are going good in her life. Leading her own team and now the ladies champion. And importantly she’s beaten Ms. Liberty to it. Being the two first ever female wrestlers in the GWF means their rivalry has remained in place over a decade later. Cassandra will need to be at her best if she wants to hold onto her title for more than one defence. They will be queuing up to challenge as Cassandra will be seen as easy to dethrone by the likes of Amazonia, Thrash and even Ms. Liberty. Blazing Skull dismantled Talisman. No secret that Talisman is gutted to be missing GALACTICON proper. In his own words “the Countdown show is great and all but it’s not the same. I cannot believe the GWF didn’t see fit to include me on the bill. I am one of the greatest Interplanetary champions in history. I blame Grogan. He cannot spot talent if it stepped up and slapped him in the face”. But if Talisman wanted to show it was a bad booking decision and also show his buddy, Blade, how it’s done against Blazing Skull he failed miserably. Blazing wiped the floor with him. Talisman had no clue how to handle the intense hardcore style. Loses out to BURNING TOUCH and we all breathe a sigh of relief that the punishment was at an end. The only thing Talisman can be thankful for is the beating led to no injuries. Max Shield easily beats Brainstorm in a Stun Rod match. Shows how fickle the wrestling business can be. A year ago Max is in the GALACTICON main event challenging for the belt. This time he is on the Countdown card scratching for a match. As much as he has tried to bang the drum for the Colonizer-Genesis feud the truth is Mandrill is trying to move on. Also the whole CPC thing has also overshadowed many other feuds. All Max can do is keep going and put on a good match here. If he gets on a good run and grabs a title then it will impossible for Mandrill to ignore him. So he starts with a match with Brainstorm. Another guy not exactly setting things alight. Although Brainstorm doesn’t actually realise this. The ego portion of his brain way too big for that. A stun rod is added to make things more interesting but they needn’t of bothered. Max had it won so fast the holster light never had a chance to come on. In a few seconds shy of a minute Brainstorm walks into the path of MAXIMUM IMPACT and takes such a head shot it must of taken a few marks off his reputed IQ.
Titan Attack defeated the Mercenaries. No matter who is on the radar of the Hitmen there is always time to keep going after the Titans. They just make Krakan’s skin crawl and he will never let them be. Lord Nexus isn’t driven by the same level of hatred but will always stand up to Krakan. So it’s no surprise to see this match taking place. Whereas last year Titan Attack would of been considered underdogs this time they are punching very much on the same level. The Mercenaries have lost a little something with most of the criticism in direction of Soldier of Fortune. He looks older and out of shape and does nothing to convince otherwise in this match. For he is the one who falls to defeat as Scion Nexus gets him with THE RISE AND FALL. Luckily Krakan has other bigger irons in the fire with Mayhem going for the title at GALACTICON but he is angered by the loss. Any defeat to a Titan is hard to stomach. He points towards Lord Nexus and shouts “doesn’t matter that your team won. No amount of wins can cover up the fact that you are Titan scum”. US. Patriot puts Malice even deeper in the mire. I don’t know what to say. This is unbelievable as Malice now goes 0-7 in 2105. Back and forth for a few minutes and then Adam explodes into action. Malice isn’t exactly slow himself but he cannot cope with Adam’s agility and speed. Adam hits Running Rocket Shot, FREEDOM FLYER and then ADAM’S ATOMIC BLAST in short shrift and just like that it’s all over. WAR must be quaking in their boots as Malice heads into the next Ultimate Escape match with his confidence shot to bits.
Dynamo foils the Creeper. Things held up by an impromptu flexing session. Maxine Babe drizzles oil all over Dynamo and excitedly rubs it in. Gets interrupted by the Creeper who wildly attacks them both. Maxine screams and just about gets out only to bump into Mollock. She decides it’s one beast too many and leaves Dynamo to it. If Dynamo was sleeping for that incident he’s now wide awake. Desperately trying to fend off the slobbering Creeper. Eventually he stopped the Creeper thanks to MUSCLE RIPPER but it was a close run thing. Having been on the end of ELIMINATOR and also an agitated Mollock it was one of his luckier wins.

GALACTICON SELECTED PROMOS:
COMMANDER SAM - I can’t wait for the FDF to face the Penthouse Suite. After all that happened in the past couple of years I am stress free and enjoying life again. My warning to Thantos is that the Penthouse Suite will be made to look Basement Chumps when it’s over. We have been training real hard for this and will promote a healthy image for the GWF and it’s wrestlers over those spoilt CPC brats.
MAYHEM - Get that microphone out of my face before I shove it wear the sun don’t shine!
PEGASUS - Finally I reach the main event of GALACTICON. I am proud to be representing the GWF as the hero of the heroes. Mayhem poses no problem. I’ve beaten him many times before and I will do it again. I may even come after the CPC Heavyweight belt soon. Especially if Chaos is the one holding it.
THANTOS - I’d forgotten what cr*pholes GWF venues are. We will get the job done against the overrated FDF and get ourselves back to the normality of Pelf Palace. Sam is obviously still cuckoo if he believes his team has a chance. Is that really the best the GWF has got to challenge us with? If we don’t get a whitewash I will be surprised.
MANDRILL - Anyone who thinks Chaos and I cannot work together will soon realise that is not the case. We can co-exist as leaders of the villain team (gives a little wink as he says this). Crushing Transevolver will be easy. Dreadnaught is over the hill and Monad is just like a turtle when he’s on his back.
CHAOS - I’m not happy that I am having to tag with that Mandrill but I will do what’s necessary and then commence back with my personal goals. As long as he understands not to tread on my toes we will be just fine. And that also goes for Massif as the referee. Nobody pushes or orders Chaos around.
ALPHA FORCE - We must take the threat of the Colonizers very seriously. Their plans for domination are very real. My good friends on the Genesis team have done a fantastic job of dealing with. I want to do my bit now by beating Painmaster and becoming the Interplanetary champion.
BLAZING SKULL - Blade can blame me for his brother’s death all he likes. It won’t change anything. He better watch his step. I will not be accountable for anything that happens in that ring and I will defend myself at all times. If it takes a little explosion to keep him in line, then so be it.
BLADE - Time is a healer but the pain never truly goes away. I have dedicated my life since Crossfire perished to this moment. This is for you brother (kisses his fist and raises it upwards).
PRODIGY - The CPC doesn’t have anything to prove but superiority will be shown again. If Skinhead thinks he can trouble me then he is even more deluded than I thought he was.
GENESIS PRIME - Vertigo speaks on behalf of the team. The Colonizers thought they’d put us out of action for good but we are back and better than ever. The limp I still have serves as reminder for what they did and all their past atrocities. I use it as my inspiration to take those traitors, Rebel Empire, down.

Card 888 – GALACTICON 19 – Deimos Intergalactic Arena:
Big matches galore for the biggest event of the year. The GWF sees sense and affords the Gladiator-WAR Ultimate Escape battle main event status at the last minute. Vengeance breaks Aethran protocol to go on social media platforms. Spacebook sees the biggest reaction to his post, a picture of a burial ground, probably on Aethra, with the caption “We fear failure, it’s how it should be”. Pegasus is pretty p*ssed at the change. As Heavyweight champion he had assumed he would be headlining the show and tells the media throng “I cannot believe this is how the Heavyweight champion is treated. The ‘Hero of Heroes’ will not be overshadowed. My match with Mayhem will still be the most memorable of the night”. Before the matches commence the cameras go into the crowd with Qualitar. He is getting the feelings of the excited fans onto the broadcast. One or two colourful words are audible but it’s very clear the atmosphere is electric. One guy introduced as Tanto tells the watching cosmos “I’m so excited. It cost me an arm and a leg to get here. A once in a lifetime experience. Go WAR. With Wolf on the team nothing can stop them”. Next up Chuck from good old USA chimes in “obviously I’m here to cheer the FDF on but when Mandrill and Chaos turn on each other it will be huge. I’ll be able to tell my grandkids I was there!” Last up is Kemmy from Ara “I’m not proud of Terminus for siding with the CPC. He may of done great things in representing our people but tonight I’m firmly on the side of the GWF”. Strange that not one of them mentioned Pegasus-Mayhem. Maybe the GWF did the right thing after all. WAR beats the Gladiators in a brutal and bloody Aethran Ultimate Escape match. Main events don’t come much bigger than this. Arguably the most exciting special match type of them all and among the most brutal. Many times before guys have been left alone in the cage against many enemies and been savaged. It’s a unique mechanic and a price often paid for teams racing into a strong lead. Many times a tactic is to keep someone as out of the action and fresh as possible to deal with such a scenario. Would such tactics play a part here or would the intensity of the feud make that impossible? Wolf, for example, is not really one for tactics preferring just to go for it no matter what the odds are. The Gladiators walk silently towards the cage. There is a hierarchy as Vengeance leads, Thunder and Overkill are side by side whilst Malice is forced to follow behind them. The Gladiators have plenty to prove especially Malice. Just holding titles isn’t enough for Aethra. They must show domination over WAR. The announcer waits patiently for the Gladiators to enter the cage before he risks announcing the WAR members. He has barely started to introduce them when Wolf bursts through the curtain howling and charges towards the cage. There’s no holding him back. The crowd loves it but his teammates don’t. Wolf rushes into the cage on his own and immediately wilts under a Tsunami of blows as all the Gladiators start pounding on him. The remaining WAR members are forced to hurry down quicker than they wanted in order to support Wolf. Tellingly New Order we’re not wearing their recently won CPC belts. Although it can be argued Wolf hardly gave them an opportunity to strap them on. By the time they all get there Wolf is already bloody. Not how they wanted to start. With things now well underway here’s the escape list … Overkill gets out first as Wolf pays the price for his over exuberance. A crushing TURNBUCKLE TRAP and work from the other Gladiators allows the big man to escape … Raven manages to escape against Malice. Much like Wolf before him Malice tries to do too much. In his desperation to restore some Aethran pride he refuses to tag out. It’s an epic battle but one he ultimately loses after the tokens rack up and a WAR Gun leaves him unable to respond to Raven’s departing of the cage … Wolf gets the biggest cheer so far as he escapes whilst grappling Thunder. He will have New Order to thank. Thunder was left in a bad way after TWIST AND SHOUT several times from Dreggs and then they combined for DECIMATION. If not for Overkill punching Dreggs through the bars as he climbed he would surely of got out. Instead Wolf comes in to reap the benefits. An atomic knee drop was the killer move. This time Overkill was not there to stop him as Destructon 3000 had come down. He managed to lay Overkill out … Thunder recovers to beat Mace after THE TEMPEST. Remarkable turnaround as Thunder looked finished but Vengeance attacked Mace during a cover. Despite being bloody Thunder pounced with his finisher. It’s all level now but the Gladiators look to have the greater mountain to climb. Malice can barely stand … Vengeance eventually escaped against Mace. A long draining period where nobody can get out. Vengeance takes many bullets to keep Malice out of the action and a chance to recuperate. But eventually he has to take his chance and leave the cage. It happened after Mace missed a turnbuckle charge and crashed straight into the cage. Can Malice cope against New Order to win after all the earlier punishment? He forces himself to ignore the pain and enters the ring. A big, big moment for him … Dreggs escapes after New Order beats Malice with DECIMATION. Brings it to a nail biting decider. Could go either way. Both guys left have been through the wars and have 13 tokens between them now … Mace gets the best of Malice. Connected with a running pole ram. Malice stands wobbling after the impact for a few seconds and then just falls forward flat on his face. Jubilation through the arena as Mace makes a less than steady escape. WAR wins. The other Gladiators, who had congregated at the end of the runway to watch the remains of the match take place, stand poker faced as this happens. They then all leave without waiting for Malice. The image of Malice alone in the cage will be one that haunts him.
On a whim I liked the idea of Wolf not being a team player and rushing out alone thinking he could take the Gladiators on. All part of why he struggles to work with others. His over eagerness was costly as he was pummelled before Raven and New Order could even get into the cage. I decided it would cost him an early fatigue token which given the gruelling nature of the match could prove costly. In the background to this it even leads to Raven, normally such a tolerant chap, questioning Destructon 3000 on whether they should be keeping Wolf on the team. He is keen to recruit someone else but with a lack of available guys at the required level Destructon 3000 urges him to stick it out until Eagle is ready to rejoin. Raven doesn’t want to rock the boat and backs down. I liked this as it plants the seeds for Wolf not lasting very long on the WAR team. This little internal problem takes some of the gloss off of what was, for Destructon 3000, a monumental win. Heavyweight champ, Pegasus, comes through yet another test as he sees off Mayhem. Two guys in unbelievable form that have stood the test of time. It’s a match fitting the occasion for sure even though it’s not even the main event. The importance is not lost on Krakan who would love to bring the Heavyweight belt into the Hitman HQ. Krakan reminds everyone there is no halo over the head of Pegasus “everyone thinks Pegasus is the ultimate hero. Believe me the guy is still a closet heel and will take off to the CPC once a big enough offer comes in. Just look at how he is complaining about not being the main event guy. Much better for everyone that the GWF belt becomes Hitmen property”. Pegasus laughs when he hears the accusation “of course there’s no truth in that, my villain days are long behind me and I now represent everything that’s heroic and great. Although I’d rather be a closet heel than a closet something else which I suspect Krakan might be”. Always good for some banter to get things going. Although a match of such magnitude already carries plenty of heat. Star Warrior was obediently with Pegasus but he knows the spotlight is no longer on him. During the ring entrance he stays several paces behind so Pegasus, the self proclaimed ‘Hero of Heroes’, can lap up the adulation of the crowd and feel happy. But their approach is rudely interrupted. Mayhem wants to get things started early and doesn’t want to wait around for the curtain call. Rushes in from behind. Gasps heard as Star Warrior gets a chain hooked around his neck and yanked back violently. Pegasus turns to see what the commotion is and sees Mayhem flying at him. The Heavyweight belts goes loose and they are brawling in the runway. Krakan now shows himself. Tramples over Star Warrior who is still down. He then walks past the brawling wrestlers to pick up the Heavyweight belt. Takes a sticker out his belt that says ‘Hitmen Property’ and places it onto the leather strap before frisbeeing it towards startled officials sat around the ring announcer’s table. He then crosses his arms and waits for the warring wrestlers to eventually find their way to the ring. Gives a laugh as Star Warrior follows after them looking all weak and pathetic. But Krakan’s bravado soon changes as Pegasus controls the early exchanges. Mayhem struggling to lay a glove on him. It needs a wild brawl triggered by Mayhem walking the tightrope of a DQ to get a foothold. The ref is reluctant to ruin such a big match and gives every chance for a clean finish. Star Warrior was aggrieved as Mayhem makes the most of this to turn it around and now batters Pegasus. He hits DANGER ZONE which then sets up LEAP OF DOOM. Can barely watch as Mayhem leaps at Pegasus but did Star Warrior give him a subtle nudge on take off? Mayhem misses his target and everyone can breathe again. Pegasus still struggles to get going though and it takes a brawl of his own starting to change things. Giving Mayhem some of his own medicine. The pendulum swings again and Pegasus soon goes for PROJECT PEGASUS. Krakan desperately rushes the ring and tries to smash Pegasus with his gun. Star Warrior is looking more spritely now and stands up to Krakan. The ref tries to sort out the commotion and gets a huge cheer as he ejects Krakan from ringside for this attempted assault. Of course Krakan doesn’t go quietly but at least the whole saga allowed Mayhem vital time to recover. But Pegasus is now on fire. He senses things have gone his way and there are no obstacles now. He dishes out a few more moves and attempts PROJECT PEGASUS once more. This time victoriously. He loves the spotlight afterwards. It may not be the main event he craved but it doesn’t stop him making a big show with the belt. In a pleasing moment he mounts the buckle, rips off Krakan’s sticker, holds it aloft and shouts “means much more than the CPC belt. Janus will never have respect until he wears this and he knows it”. Will they meet at some point? Alpha Force defeated Painmaster to become the new Interplanetary champ. Of all the Colonizer members trying to make this villain takeover thing happen you’d never of expected Painmaster to be the one carrying the flag. Especially as the lowest ranking active wrestler on the team. But that’s exactly what has happened. The most memorable moment of his run has definitely been pinning Genocide clean. If he can do that then Alpha Force shouldn’t pose any problems to him. But Alpha Force is a legend enjoying a renewed surge in popularity for the way he is being so open about his future. Leaving the holy grail of the Heavyweight belt to the young guns and setting his sights on the Interplanetary belt. He is not going to make this easy and knows Star Warrior will be doing everything possible to stifle the influence of Sentry. Speaking of Star Warrior. It’s a big night for him, his first GALACTICON as a manager. Omega breaks his retired silence to wish his sons luck on Spacebook just minutes before the match goes on air “good luck to my cherished sons. Whatever happens tonight you have made an old man so proud”. Johnny Rocket chimes in with a post of his own “I’m gonna get my sick bag out in a minute. Give it a rest, it’s past your bedtime old man”. This incurs a volley of abusive messages back from angry fans. Anywhere away from the tech world and back to the actual match itself. Initially it’s pretty cagey stuff. Neither taking too many risks. Star Warrior makes sure he is never more than a few feet away from Sentry. As the minutes tick by the crowd starts grow a bit restless. They want to see something happen. Alpha Force senses this and finds another gear. Finding a hole in the defences of Painmaster he unleashes ALPHA STRIKE but he knows he needs a bit more than that. So follows it immediately with TOMAHAWK THRUST. It’s a beautiful blow that is timed to perfection. Sentry, despite his body odour, sniffs out the danger and tries to stealthily fire a shot to stop Alpha Force. Star Warrior sees this and barges into him at just the right time. The stun blast goes towards the arena ceiling. Dust falls onto the section of crowd immediately below and a couple of bulbs blow. Whoever changes those will be a brave man. But nobody cared about that. All eyes were on Alpha Force as he makes a hopeful cover and it sticks. He does what he pledged to do and captures the IP belt. As the belt is handed over he gives it a kiss to show it’s almost as precious as the Heavyweight belt once was to him. Star Warrior joins his brother and they hug. It’s been the perfect start to things for him but he still has Pegasus-Mayhem to prepare for. Hopefully this win is a good omen for that. Omega had stayed on the social media throughout the whole bout making live comments. It garnered a real following. There was some real emotion in there especially when he simply posted “that’s my boy!” Mandrill and Chaos show superiority over Transevolver in a match with Massif as ref. Transevolver is in a difficult place. Have embarrassingly lost the CPC tag belts and need a big moment to get back in Colby and Pelf’s good books. Facing the two biggest villain stars of the GWF would be immensely challenging and they are not being given much chance. But two top guys doesn’t necessarily make a good tag team. Especially when there is so much background animosity between them. There is also the motivation issue to deal with. New Order has conveniently taken away the aura of this match by convincingly beating Transevolver twice. Oh and there are damaging losses to Janus and the Matador nagging at Chaos. Even for a guy with his confidence that’s got to have an effect. And would they be prepared to let the other take the plaudits? Cannot see Mandrill being happy to let Chaos finish any match off and vice versa. Probably could go on and on. No such motivation issues on the other side. Even under pressure of the employers/powers-that-be Dreadnaught is still lapping up every major match he is involved in. The chance to lock horns and compete on a decent level with the likes of Chaos again is something that seemed impossible in the last few years until his DNA makeover. Considering not a single guy is a hero the crowd is pretty hot for this. Many of them want something to really blow up. It doesn’t begin too well for Chaos and Mandrill as they cannot even agree on who starts for their team. Chaos had put his foot down over the presence of Sentry so tensions were already high. Both end up standing their ground saying nothing. That is until Dreadnaught attempts to come in and smash their heads together. But maybe he has forgotten the immense power that Chaos has. He is unable to shift him and only manages to weakly push Mandrill into the chest of Chaos. The two duelling villain leaders don’t take kindly to the intrusion and both turn on Dreadnaught. He has unwittingly got them working together. Monad comes to the aid of his partner by windmilling in with his four arms. It’s pretty chaotic and Massif, who wanted to stay as hands off as possible, charges at the group of brawling wrestlers sending them over like tenpins. Even Chaos went down. Massif then shouts at them all to get up and that no more nonsense will be tolerated. Chaos shoots him a look that suggests he’d love nothing more than to crush Massif but actually then obediently takes his place on the ring apron. Becomes a very fiercely competitive match. Chaos demands to be in the ring barely a couple minutes after Mandrill has started. He didn’t even tag in properly. Reached in and grabbed Mandrill’s arm to force a tag. Mandrill angrily resists but Massif ushers him out. However Chaos is not in good form as we’ve seen lots of lately. Lady Luck shines on him as he survives QUADRUPLE CLAMP and then SURFBOARD SUBMISSION. He was close enough to the ropes to force a break. Wounded by those moves he willingly tags out and never makes it back in. Mandrill carries the team and has long grapples with both Dreadnaught and Monad. He eventually takes the win after COLONIZER CLAW SLAM against a wilting Dreadnaught. During these battles Massif held absolute authority. He never let the action go out of the ring once. Anytime someone was hurled outside or left the ring, which was a lot, he prevented the other guy going after him. Transevolver leaves quietly behind Doomsayer. Frustrated at a third big loss in a row. Mandrill lords it up in the ring. He then grabs the mic to brag “Colonizer rules. I got my team mate out of a rut. I think you’d have to agree Chaos?” The big man doesn’t give him the satisfaction of an answer. The win meant nothing to him and he stomps off without giving a second glance back. Chaos is asked after the match whether he would consider teaming with Mandrill or any of the Colonizers again in the future to which he frostily replies “not in a million years”. Colussus destroyed Heracles in a Titan Death match. One of the forgotten great feuds is thrust back into the spotlight and the fans love it. There’s not a day that goes by that Colussus doesn’t regret his friendship with Heracles going sour “fame went to his head. He then started calling me a cyborg freak which I will never ignore. Maybe one day he will see the light again. Until then I am prepared to wrestle him anytime, anyplace, anywhere. This is GALACTICON and I will rise to the occasion”. Heracles is certainly giving it the treatment for the flagship show too. The sofa is back and he has several guards carry him out to the ring on it. With one guy walking ahead and another behind to stop any attack on him whilst he is sat on it. Victory would be of paramount importance to both guys. With Chaos stumbling it will be in the back of Heracles mind that he can usurp his new best mate’s position as a possible contender to the CPC belt. Janus-Heracles has a nice ring to it and given their history would be a money spinner that the CPC could well go for. But would it sell more tickets than a possible Janus-Pegasus match? But that’s all in the possible future. The here and now is this match. Colussus stands patiently and let’s the ridiculous arrival of Heracles happen. He’s got no time for games. Just wants a good clean win over his ex-partner. The very second the bell goes Colussus goes for broke. Heracles is shocked by the start and struggles to cope as Colussus rocks him with OLYMPIA and then CYBORG DEATHBLOW. Somehow Heracles rides out that frenetic start and gets some offence of his own. Trying to show Colussus how it’s done with OLYMPIA but it doesn’t come close to pinning Colussus. Instead it gives Colussus another big burst of energy. This second wave is perhaps even worse and Heracles cannot survive it. A clothesline with the robot arm puts him on the canvas with ferocious force. As Heracles lay there prone Colussus comes down his head again with another CYBORG DEATHBLOW and more or less knocked him out with it. The aggression Colussus had shown was astounding. Colussus noticed Heracles had a bottle of wine stashed inside the couch. Presumably to celebrate a win. He takes a hold of it and toasts victory for himself and then pours the rest of the contents over the fallen Heracles. Penthouse Suite (Janus, Matador and Terminus) annihilated the FDF in a 6 Man Elimination. The FDF bucking the trend by going after the top heel team. Usually a right reserved for the Champions. It’s an interesting twist but probably not a changing of the guard. At least not yet. Just more a case of the GWF wanting to tap into Commander Sam’s experience. Also it freed up the Champions team guys to compete in other key matches. Pegasus and Alpha Force were involved in championship bouts after all. So there was some logic. Although Star Warrior was hurt by what he thought at first was a shun. Sam has been training his guys hard to prepare and new FDF guys Jack and Queenie have found it hard. Queenie said of his methods “it’s not exactly a rock and roll lifestyle but if it makes us better wrestlers I guess it’s ok”. Thantos confidently plays down the chances of the FDF upsetting his guys, “we are here to show we are just as strong outside of Pelf Palace as we are in it. I hear Sam has been putting his new troops through their paces. We don’t need to resort to such extremes. My wrestlers are so talented and already have the finest facilities money can buy at their disposal. Sam’s crude camps wouldn’t even be considered fit for alien refugees. And talent will always win out over hard work. Mark my words”. Unfortunately he is not left with egg on his face as the Penthouse Suite deliver on his prediction with ease. Order of eliminations … Janus eliminates US. Patriot by count-out. Sadly Adam is first to fall as the Matador and then Janus lay siege to him. During this first fall Terminus took a lot of punishment as the Royal Court surprisingly dominates him. He took BLACK DIAMOND several times and was relieved to get out of the line of fire … The Matador ousts Killer Queen after a much shorter second fall. Quick thinking to turn a whip into the ropes into a sunset flip. Little hope left for the FDF as Jack is now on his own. The predicted whitewash from Thantos now very much on the cards … The Matador completes the rout as he easily puts Jack of Diamonds away with BULLWHIP. Jack gave his best shot but the Matador just oozed class and finished him without too much fuss. Rebel Empire defeated Genesis Prime by DQ. Finally the two teams meet after a lot of teasing. Nefarus brags “we’ve been waiting for this. A chance to put Vertigo on the shelf again. Everyone is tired of his sob story battling back from injury. Wraith better not stand in our way or the same will happen to him. The best invisibility trick he can do is not to show up at all”. Unfortunately after all the building to this it becomes an anti-climax. Genesis Prime were doing pretty well for themselves. Wraith had managed to knock Nefarus silly twice with SUDDEN DEATH but been foiled by pin saves. The hope was that just one more might do the business. But rather than go for another he gets caught up in the emotion and tosses Nefarus out of the ring. Worse still is he then goes after him. Uses his invisibility far more than is legally allowed in the GWF to get an advantage. The ref is hesitant to call a DQ but his hand is forced when everyone observes what appears to be a floating chair. Before Wraith can reach Nefarus with it the bell goes off. We then end up with a massive stand off as everyone else gets themselves a chair. Wraith crystallises back into view. Nobody makes a move apart from Sentry. He quickly fumbles around with his gun and tries to fire a blast towards both members of Genesis Prime. Vertigo uses his quick reactions to bat the blast away with his chair for a home run. Instead it heads straight back to where it came from and takes Sentry off his feet. Its now that security finally gets involved. Several beefy guys get between the two teams and force everyone to drop their weapons. Genesis Prime is then frogmarched away first. The same is done to Rebel Empire at a safe distance. Sentry gets forgotten about and actually was struggling at ringside several minutes into the next match. It was almost a surprise to those involved when he suddenly popped up and staggered clumsily away. Blazing Skull ensures Blade gets no revenge. Such an emotional match for Blade. To finally face his brother’s killer one-on-one. A match full of danger and worries about whether he is ready for it. Archon doesn’t think so and had tried to talk Blade out of it last minute and take his place. But Blade is headstrong and won’t hear of it. Let’s hope he doesn’t make the same mistakes as Talisman, who was destroyed by Blazing on the Countdown show. Certainly begins with plenty of fire. Showing his agility and dazzling moves which gives Blazing something to think about. The focus then becomes about going to the turnbuckles. In a pretty awesome sequence they both keep going for deathjumps with the other guy throwing whoever was perched down. It was just a matter of who could take advantage of these mistakes first. That guy is Blazing Skull as he gets fed up with trying to go the high flying route. It’s time for BURNING TOUCH. The hold takes Blade by surprise and he is too centred in the ring. Try as he might to get free Blazing has it locked on pretty tight. Blade held on as long as possible before he blacked out. Whilst Blade is out of it Blazing Skull gets thrown a lighter by Maleph and proceeds to carefully burn Blade’s eyebrows off. He then smashes the youngster on the back of the neck to bring him round. Blade looks a bit confused at first before it dawns on him what happened. He angrily takes out his frustration on a turnbuckle. Slashing it open with one of his switchblades. His eagerness to have another stab at Blazing Skull all too obvious. Can understand his disappointment but the greater concern is for the Centaurians team as a whole. They have been totally owned by Brymstone Burning across the 2 GALACTICON shows. Prodigy trounced Skinhead. Their previous meeting had been pretty one sided and made Prodigy look very superior. Skinhead needs to redress the balance otherwise this feud is pretty much done and dusted barely halfway through the year. He gets one up on Prodigy before things are even started. Prodigy’s plan to burn to the ring on a gold plated motorbike with CPC emblazoned on it was ruined. Skinhead got access to the bike and drained the tank. Prodigy barely gets a few yards down the runway before sputtering to an embarrassing halt. As he fiddles with the ignition and curses the bike Skinhead clotheslines him off it. He then kicks it over so the bike topples onto Prodigy. With all the decoration the bike is very heavy and Thantos struggles to lift it off. Eventually Prodigy is freed and to say he is p*ssed off is an understatement. He gets his own back by completely outwrestling Skinhead in the ring. Showing no lingering effects other than embarrassment. Wears Skinhead down with Cobra Grip a couple times before THE PERFECT SINGLES FINISHER leads to a quick pin. Very difficult to pick holes in that performance by Prodigy. Almost flawless. It’s now clear where most of the talent in their legendary tag team came from. You’d think winning would of been enough for Prodigy but he’s not done. Just so happens he has a backup can of petrol at the back of his fallen bike. He douses Skinhead with it and then calls to the curtain for Bishop Hell to come down and ignite HELLFIRE. Skinhead forgets there’s no way the Bishop could get into a GWF venue and positively sh*ts himself at the prospect of being flamed. Prodigy and Thantos are almost in hysterics over it. Skinhead had been well and truly taught a lesson for trying to show Prodigy up. Titan Fury blow Assassin Greatness away. Lord Nexus trying to lift his boys after their failed title shot at the Gladiators. Overheard dishing a motivational speech moments before the curtain call “come on boys this is GALACTICON. There’s nothing bigger”. Darkos senses weakness and urges his team to feast on this apparent lack of motivation. Assassin Greatness hasn’t done an awful lot as a team but the chance to join the big time awaits with a win here. Perhaps they are finally ready to be pushed as a team at the same level as the Ninja Assassins. Fast start from the Titans but it’s not often Rising Sun’s agility is surpassed as Enigma reverses a crossbody. As if that happening upset Rising Sun he then shows his quickness by dodging a turnbuckle charge from Enigma for an early pin attempt. Wow, the speed of all this was incredible. Back on top Rising Sun tries to build on that with SUNSET SPECTACULAR but there is lots of chicanery from Darkos as he desperately tries to get Assassin Greatness over. Breaks up the pin and generally making a nuisance of himself. However it only delays the inevitable. Not sure if Rising Sun was just having one of those untouchable nights or Enigma was just really bad, probably a little of both, but things don’t go much longer. Rising performs a wristlock suplex and covers again. Manslaughter attempts to come in this time but the ref stops him. Whilst he is being ushered back the two Titans link up for an awesome double dropkick on Enigma. Lord Nexus is fed up with Darkos always interfering and surprises him with a TITAN DROP on the outside. There was nothing in the way now and Rising Sun is able to pin Enigma for a popular win, just the lift Titan Fury needed. Will Darkos now abandon the Assassin Greatness team? They are clearly better singles wrestlers than they are a tag team.
Pulsar goes hardcore to beat Draconian Sheik. Dangerous match for Pulsar to take on but he’s got all the fighting talk “those Terrorists better watch themselves. If they try and attack me I’ll throw ACID RAIN and burn through those disguises”. The Terrorists aim is to jump Pulsar before the match. But Pulsar and Lord Nexus got an anonymous tip off and avoid the usual route to the ring. Instead they come through the crowd to loud cheering and avoid the planned attack. The element of surprise gives Pulsar momentum. Within just 3 moves he has hit WHIRLWIND and thrown ACID RAIN. Drac would surely of been beaten but one of the Terrorists is able to throw a powdered chemical in Pulsar’s uncovered eye. How there is no DQ is mind boggling. Match is mega hardcore after this and the ref lets everything go. Did someone make this a Titan Death match and not tell anyone one? Pulsar takes lots of punishment and the powder to his eye clearly bothers him but he’s made of tough stuff these days. He manages to ride it all out and then deliver WHIRLWIND for a second time. Despite the high distractor rating of the Terrorists the attempts to disrupt the pin attempt fails. Pulsar wins and starts what will end up being a great night for the Titan team.
Death’s Head beats Archon with worrying ease. Blade and Blazing Skull cross paths early. Maleph was already a ringside presence but Blazing tries to ramp up the intimidation by coming out too. This brings Blade out but Archon, like a stern schoolmaster, tells him to stay out of if for his own safety and let the GWF officials deal with it. They manage to get Blazing away after threatening to award the match by forfeit to Archon if he doesn’t leave. Blade in a show of emotion yells from the end of the runway “not long now you murdering b*stard” before being dragged by the arm back through the curtain. All this prematch mess seemed to help Death’s Head more than Archon. Maybe it was because Archon’s mind was preoccupied with worrying for Blade for he is nowhere near his best. Death’s Head needed barely a couple of minutes to beat him after a skull rake. DARK MATCHES
Amazonia and Supernova go over Thrash and Cassandra. Everyone just kind of thrown together to construct a tag match. Neither team is particularly tight with each other. Strange to say that the weakest link is Cassandra yet she is the one wearing the ladies title at the moment. She likes to let everyone know about it too. Even Thrash gives her a look of disdain. Before long everyone is fed up with Cassandra and kind of gang up on her. Thrash refuses to tag back in after an initial exchange with Supernova. Cassandra suffers a torrid time and by the end looks grateful when Amazonia puts her out of her misery with AMAZON ATTACK.
Ms. Liberty looks good in beating Maxine Babe. Ms. Liberty still has her eyes on the big prize. Especially now Cassandra is the surprise champ. She has accepted constructive criticism of where things went wrong on her last title shot and believes the mistakes have been learned from. A decisive win against Maxine should keep her in and around the top contender spot. She does exactly that by overcoming unwelcome interference by Dynamo to win with THE LIBERATOR. Ms. Liberty had a real determined way about her as if she knows this might be her last chance.

Latest News:
FALLOUT FROM GALACTICON … Aethra reacts to Gladiator defeat. Outsiders say the blame lies with the leader, Vengeance, and they are going backwards under him. However Malice is made the scapegoat. Information on what goes on in Aethran Society is hard to come by. However the word is, as punishment, that Malice’s family have been rounded up and imprisoned for an indefinite period. Malice takes the news without emotion and accepts this fate for his failure. Blade is suffering GALACTICON blues after losing to arch enemy Blazing Skull. Needs to rebuild his shattered confidence. First step on the road to rehab is a match with Erebus. He wants to build up for a rematch with Blazing Skull as soon as possible but could do with more encouragement from Archon who is his supposed. Trouble is Archon is still dead set against him taking the challenge on and prefers to deal with Blazing himself. Heracles was another unhappy camper. Feeling ashamed by losing to a freak like Colussus in such one-sided fashion. He is already looking for up revenge. The big winners were of course WAR. They have made an unbelievable start to 2105 as the feud with the Gladiators cranks back into gear. It’s a feeling of deja vu except there is no banishment waiting at the end. Can they keep it going? The forgotten guy on the Champions team, Colussus, may not be holding any belts and be in the shadow of his team mates but he got everyone raving with the way he took Heracles apart. It was probably the stand out performance of the night. Star Warrior was delighted with him. He is also praising Pegasus to high heaven. The champ made it to 44 cards and counting as the holder. He now moves second in the all time list behind Thantos for length of reign. But Star Warrior wants to keep things in perspective, “we had a great GALACTICON and went 3-0. We now also have both singles belts but there is still lots for our team to do. We are ready to join our friends in the FDF and take the fight to the CPC”. So it seems he has gotten over his team not being chosen to face the Penthouse Suite. Of course a bit of success always helps the healing process. They will have to be at their best if they do start facing them now though. The way the Penthouse Suite whitewashed the FDF at the event was mega impressive. On the back of his rotten showing Heracles is now threatening to walk out on the GWF after claiming he was paid peanuts for performing at GALACTICON. Says this is why he lost as couldn’t be bothered. Is this going to be a trend where some guys hold up for more money knowing that the CPC existence and its early success might yield them the desired results? Although it must be said that Heracles didn’t exactly do a good job of putting himself in the shop window. It was one of his worst ever nights and nobody is buying his line of not trying. Another guy not too happy with the GWF was Pegasus having been moved off the top of the card at late notice. He thought he’d finally made the main event of the biggest night of the year. It has actually made him even more determined to take a risk and put his belt on the line against CPC guys as well as pursue the CPC Heavyweight belt. It’s something many of the GWF hierarchy are dead set against but he’s more than willing to upset the apple cart now. So maybe the possibility of the dream Pegasus-Janus match could be closer than we think. Doomsayer looking for more funding from his CPC employers. He is now flirting with other uses for the Transevolver including body swapping and/or fusion techniques. Such experimentations costs a lot of money though. This is a worrying rumour and has caught the attention of the UFSP. But after losing the tag belts to the GWF his position to ask for more money has been weakened. The Gladiators might be licking their wounds after losing to WAR but they are still making noise. And it’s actually something the GWF will be pleased to hear. They give a reaction as to why they are making no attempts to chase CPC titles. Vengeance calls them almost as worthless as the IP and Women’s belts “I have learned over the years where Aethran priorities are in terms of wrestling. There is a very definite order to what we are expected to achieve. Our aim is to dominate all GWF belts, especially the main ones, show superiority over whoever we are feuding and win OTB. Outside of that we don’t give a sh*t. Even with one of the scummy WAR team holding one of those CPC belts we aren’t be interested. We’d just wrestle them in non-title matches”.
Speaking of the titles and this is the month we finally saw belts traded between the two organisations. The first to fall are the CPC tag straps. New Order defied the hostility of their CPC hosts to swan into Pelf Palace and beat Transevolver (again). Doomsayer assumes his team will be given an immediate opportunity to reclaim them but that may not necessarily be the case. Commissioner Guile is giving serious thought to pushing the Outcasts team of Splatter and Mad Jester. There is also a school of thought that the CPC may use the tag belts as almost like a disposable commodity which they are happy to give GWF teams fairer chances in. It would take away some of the accusations of bias. But all the while they will be making sure their other singles titles remain heavily protected. Drama on the late night GWF weekly highlights show ‘WRAP UP’. Commissioner Grogan reviews footage of Destructon 3000 manhandling Overkill when he shouldn’t of even been allowed at ringside. Recently he has made a string of decisions that have left us scratching our heads. The latest being to suspend him from ringside for 4 cards. “I did not come to this decision lightly but there is concern for Destructon 3000 causing harm to other wrestlers. We have observed excessive override of his inhibitor. The potential for him to cause damage due to his robotic advantages is not something that can be ignored. Consider this suspension a final warning”. So instead of savouring success at GALACTICON there is another sideshow to nibble at Destructon 3000. Everyone is pretty miffed as Destructon 3000 is one of the most respected entities in the wrestling universe and anything he has done has only ever been under extreme provocation or a sense of protectiveness. Who is Grogan going to target next? Solaris, Omega, Archon, Mother Theresa? Maybe the pressure of the CPC’s emergence is getting to him and clouding judgement. BREAKING NEWS … HITMAN'S CONTRACT NOW OUT ON THE CPC! Yes, it’s finally official. Incredibly so soon after feuding with the Hitmen, Mandrill and Nefarus have offered Krakan a staggering million dollar deal to put a Hitman's contract on the CPC. The talks have been going on for a number of weeks but at long last an agreement is reached. The aim being to try and tie both the Hitmen and the CPC up in a feud so that the Colonizers can concentrate on dominating the Heroes as the self proclaimed Villain leaders. The timing more important than ever now they have gone back to square one by relinquishing the only title they had. The CPC is more than willing to play ball. Colby and Pelf have $$$ signs in their eyes. The rich can just never have enough money. Yet again it is a stroke of genius from these two diabolical minds. Stay tuned for more details but matches are expected to commence as early as next month.
Twists and turns aplenty as this news will cause Star Warrior immense frustration. He is itching to get stuck into the CPC and pit his managerial wits against Thantos. The matches looked imminent but after this deal it’s possible the Champions may have to step aside again. Unless Colby and Pelf manage to keep the Penthouse Suite out of the line of fire and put the Outcasts up as a buffer against the Hitmen. Will be interesting to see how it plays out. INJURED – Vertigo minjor injury all year; SUSPENDED – Destructon 3000 (4)
WRESTLER OF THE MONTH: JANUS – so many possibilities with Pegasus, Alpha Force, Colussus, Blazing Skull and the Matador all having great months. However this guy has been unbelievable. Universally hated as the CPC champion and also because he just seems unbeatable. To see off Chaos in just 2 moves is a stand out achievement. Then goes and plays a pivotal role for Penthouse Suite at GALACTICON. The question on most lips now is just who is better, Janus or Pegasus. They need to wrestle soon surely. TAG TEAM OF THE MONTH: NEW ORDER – the first movement of belts between GWF and CPC finally took place and it was New Order who did it. Beating everyone else to the punch. That is why they were the top vote getters for the award. They are now being urged to go and get their GWF titles back and achieve another unique first, to hold both sets of belts at once. Might be tough as the CPC will gunning for them to get the tag belts back off them so long as the Hitmen do not prove too much of a distraction.

Card 889 - Beta Centauri Bluestar Pavillion:
Janus downed Alpha Force in a non-title match. The new IP champ, Alpha Force, is in town. No title on the line though. Just as well as it turns out. The current CPC champ Janus leaves the opulence of Pelf Palace to try and rain on his parade. It’s a surprisingly big match for a small venue like this. Sadly Alpha Force seems to suffer a bit of a hangover from his belt win as he is well off the pace here. Janus tied him up in GORDION KNOT twice. Alpha Force managed to slip out the first attempt only to succumb to it a few minutes later when it’s applied again. Some bragging rights for the CPC after this. However no belts lost so not too much damage done.
Titan Fury defeated Lower World by DQ. Titans win it although they deserved more than it being by DQ. They’d hit the Brymstonians with everything in their repertoire. A combination of pin saves and Maleph interfering kept the match going. Ultimately Death’s Head, who had been the one on the end of the most of punishment, takes to the outside. When he launches Rising Sun into the ring post the ref finally decides to take action. Death’s Head got his come uppance though. He threatened more carnage only to be floored by Rising who then proceeded to do the same to the heavy breathing Erebus. Dragonmaster joined his mate and shouted “Titans won’t be bullied”.
Vengeance overcomes Killer Queen by DQ. Bit of a random one. Although it comes as no surprise that Vengeance does not like Queenie’s persona and cross dressing antics. Vowing to ‘carve up that fairy’. He doesn’t get the chance though. Queenie holds his own despite taking some tough moves like Eye Cleaver. Under pressure Queenie takes to the outside and blasts Vengeance with a giant party popper that was also filled with glitter. He was punished accordingly but at least Vengeance was temporarily blinded and couldn’t get hands on him.
Chaos annihilated Ursa Major in under 30 seconds. Ursa Major realises a dream to step into the ring with the mighty Chaos in what is these days a rare foray into singles action. There is no fairytale ending for him though. Chaos destroys him in just 3 moves. Ursa Major was thrown into the turnbuckle so hard that his body went into shock and Chaos was able to easily pin him after that.
Jack of Diamonds beat Dark Justice by DQ. Jack being shown some tough love by his father who doesn’t accompany him. Justice teases him by calling him a Daddy’s boy who won’t be able to cope on his own. This gives Jack an angry jolt and he tears into him. So much so that Justice decides it’s just not worth the effort. Grabs his rod and smashes it over Jack to draw the DQ. Match had barely gone more than a minute. What a disappointment.
Supernova cruises to a win over Maxine Babe. Massive gulf in class. Maxine didn’t really muster any notable offence and goes down to SPEED OF LIGHT. The only positive she can take is that she was tough to pin as she produced several kick outs before eventually being beaten.
Card 890 – Beta Centauri Bluestar Pavillion:
Ms. Liberty defeated Cassandra to become Ladies champ. This was Ms. Liberty’s now or never moment. Surely she’ll never get a better chance to rule the ranks of the ladies division. In an emotional match she rises to the occasion. Rocking Cassandra with impressive moves and blasting THE LIBERATOR twice to eventually finish a lethargic Cassandra off. The belt is barely handed over when Thrash enters the ring uninvited to make a public challenge. Ms. Liberty is so full of confidence she says “fine by me but it’s not my decision to make. Will leave it to Commissioner Grogan to decide”. A recovering Cassandra tries to interject and tells Thrash to “get lost. It’s my right for an immediate rematch”. Thrash responds in the only way she knows, with violence. Cassandra is sent flying over the top rope with a clothesline (leading to a 1 card injury). Ms. Liberty stands wary of further action by Thrash but the Gladiator has made her intentions known and shown nobody will stand in her way unless they want to go the same way as Cassandra. She now leaves the ring. Fans breathe a sigh of relief and start cheering for the new champion again. As Ms. Liberty then puts the belt on the realisation of her achievement dawns and she cries happy tears. Her husband, US. Patriot, walks down the runway to hug her. It’s a brilliant moment and one Ms. Liberty will never forget. Let’s hope she can hold onto it past at least one defence. Malice overcomes Wildcat by count-out. Malice picks up his first singles win of the year over Wildcat but still makes hard work of it . An eighth consecutive defeat would surely of meant Malice getting roasted alive on Aethra. It’s already pretty bad as his family has been imprisoned until he shows significant improvement. A sign of his lesser confidence is evident in his finisher. When he finally got the chance to go for FIELDS OF MALICE it’s the less risky +2 variant. Unsurprising that Wildcat kicked out. Running out of ideas Malice resorts to throwing Wildcat outside ring where he then powerslams him at the base of the runway and leaves him for dead. Mollock did little to help other than paw Wildcat around the face but it does little to rouse him. So it is a much needed win for Malice but with all due respect to Wildcat much tougher tests lay ahead. It’s all very well winning here but Malice needs to start doing it against the WAR guys. Otherwise his trips back to Aethra will become increasingly more uncomfortable. Spike, his legendary trainer, is also getting understandably nervous as he knows his head is on the chopping block every bit as much as Malice and even Vengeance. Vyper returns with a solid win over Heracles. Massive crowd hostility towards Heracles. Although the issue appears to of been resolved off screen his holding up the GWF for more money otherwise he would go to the CPC has become public knowledge. There are rumours of it driving a wedge between him and Chaos. Although Chaos is now so focused on pursuing individual glory the reality is he just doesn’t actually care anymore. This all just mere weeks after trying to promote himself as the saviour of the GWF. Vyper is keen to bring the traitorous Heracles to his knees. He is back from a damaging and harsh suspension which interrupted a real hot streak. Could he pick up where he left off? His first trick is to place one of his snakes into the bowl Anaxis carries. She’d put it down briefly to feed Heracles some grapes. When it got picked it back up again she got the shock of her life. Maybe it was pivotal because when the match was underway and Vyper made a comeback with VYPER’S SIDESHOW her distraction attempt was so pathetic nobody noticed. Fittingly it’s a snake eyes roll to hand Vyper a major win. Blade bounces back to beat Erebus. Blade back on the saddle after being destroyed by Blazing Skull at GALACTICON. He’s finding out fast that life in the GWF is very tough. But the more he wrestles the easier things will become. It might take a few years with lots of defeats but there are many examples of guys taking lots of bumps and eventually becoming stars. But Archon needs to open the baby gate first and let Blade get stuck in. Trouble is he just can’t do it at the moment. The experience of losing Crossfire probably hurt him every bit as much as it did Blade. For that reason he has insisted Talisman be at ringside to help protect Blade. Not that he did his duty too well for Maleph kept attacking Blade when he was outside the ring and getting away with it. However Blade shows he can fight his own battles. Surges back and starts putting tokens on Erebus. Eventually hits SWITCHBLADE KICK to finish off and even manages to take down Maleph who was swooping. Blade is desperate to get back at Blazing Skull and winning so well here is sure to expedite the process. Assassin Greatness sets a new record in defeating Genesis Prime. Remarkably Genesis Prime finds themselves on the cusp of a tag title shot. They have hit the ground running since their long lay off. The only blip being the DQ loss to Rebel Empire at GALACTICON. An inevitable rematch awaits, probably with special match stipulations, but in the interim a title shot will be a welcome boost. Vertigo’s long term injuries are well documented but it doesn’t stop him zipping about. Too fast as it turns out as he disastrously goes for Manslaughter with a turnbuckle charge in the first move of the match. Somehow Manslaughter gets out of the way and Vertigo collides with ferocious force and falls back into the centre of the ring. Manslaughter covers immediately and gets the pin. It was all too quick for Wraith to react. The match timed at 6 seconds so that’s a new record for fastest ever win. That will take some recovering from for Genesis Prime. It’s all gone wrong in the last few cards.
Royal Court defeated the Stormtroopers. With Cassandra focused on defending her ladies belt in the main event she leaves the Stormtroopers managerless for this match. Means we should get a decent clean contest as Commander Sam is unlikely to get involved for his team. It’s competitive but short. Killer Queen does the business for his team pinning Hammer after Punk Piledriver. Some afters as US. Patriot crosses paths with old partner, Hammer, after this match. He was at the Pavillion supporting his wife for her title shot later. Anyway Hammer attacks him but Adam gets the better of their locker room brawl. Hammer then issues a challenge for US. Patriot to face him. Will he accept?

Card 891 – Pelf Palace:
Busy night anticipated for members of the Outcasts. As well as wrestling they are on standby to conduct gang attacks should any of the singles champions look under threat in their title defences. It’s the kind of role Splatter and Mad Jester will probably be enjoying to satisfy their penchant for the hardcore but wonder how Bishop Hell feels about this. But he has little choice. CPC Heavyweight champ, Janus, plays dirty to defeat Colussus. The match between Janus-Pegasus still doesn’t happen. Colby vetoed the idea as he is not comfortable with booking something that could essentially unify the belts. He thinks it will damage the CPC brand if attempted too early. Deep down he knows the GWF is still too strong compared with CPC and could easily usurp their own Heavyweight title. Instead the shot goes to Colussus despite the fact he hasn’t ever stepped a foot inside Pelf Palace this year. If rumour is to be believed then the initial plan was to give Heracles the title match. But when Colussus destroyed him at GALACTICON that plan was changed. It still worked out well for the Champions as at least they now finally get to take on a guy from the Penthouse Suite at the Palace. There is very obvious prematch tension between the two managers, Thantos and Star Warrior, but they largely stay out of each others way in the opening minutes. The GWF fans make up about 1% of the crowd audience but are making themselves heard. Starting a Colussus chant which irritates Colby in the VIP gallery. He wants the pro CPC contingent to drown them out but their audience has nowhere near the same passion. As the two guys lock up it is immediately clear Colussus is hyped. He’s a great wrestler with proven success but given the form of Janus it would still be considered an upset if he triumphed. The way he starts gives hope of that happening. Thantos uses his experience to beckon Janus out to him at the earliest opportunity to break momentum. An even louder cheer from the noisy GWF crowd goes up as Colussus quickly follows Janus out and brings their heads together. It’s a great moment but he needs to get Janus back in the ring. The CPC will happily take a count-out loss. Luckily this is where Star Warrior also uses his own experience, calming Colussus down and urging him to get the action back in the ring where it belongs. He knows the DQ risk is high and whilst the intensity of Colussus is great it would be easy to overstep the mark here. Colussus obliges by rolling Janus back in but briefly stops to finger wag Thantos and say “this’ll be embarrassing for you. I bet you’ll get sacked as a manager after this”. Thantos gets angry and moves toward Colussus but Star Warrior cuts him off. The ref springs into action and gets between the scuffling managers. This is a fatal moment for during this little pause Janus had grabbed hold of his Gladiatorial helmet and although wobbly was poised and waiting. As Colussus enters the ring he brings it down on the human side of his head. Even if the ref wasn’t biased he wouldn’t of seen this happen. The atmosphere among the GWF fans dipped a little bit after that. Replaced by feelings of dread. Anyone normal would’ve been knocked out but Colussus forces himself to stand with the help of the ropes. Trouble is he is not with it and just stands helplessly as Janus delivers a savatte kick and then picks him up and repeats the move. Star Warrior is fuming at ringside but finds his path blocked by not only Thantos but also some CPC security. He can only watch as Janus now slaps on GORDION KNOT and gets a tainted win. CPC Tag champs, New Order, see off Transevolver in a title rematch. Contrary to popular belief Transevolver are given an immediate rematch. Commissioner Guile gives into Doomsayer’s pleading and tells him this is one last chance. Very convenient that Destructon 3000 is suspended by Commissioner Grogan and the decision is being upheld at Pelf Palace. Some cruel wrestling journalists suggest that Grogan is in cahoots with the CPC. An utterly absurd suggestion. Anything to create a story and increase web traffic I guess. Anyway New Order rise above the situation to come through as winners. Monad had a real off day and was dropping many offensive positions. With his four big moves on L2O he should be tough to stop but he often rolled into the ropes from these positions and kept getting into grief. Doomsayer and Dreadnaught do all they can to keep him alive and kicking including reversing a pin attempt after TWIST AND SHOUT from Dreggs. But despite many opportunities to forge a way back he remains on the back foot. Eventually Mace comes into finish him off with MACE’S LITTLE HELPER. Transevolver must surely step aside now whether it be to another GWF team or the Outcasts. New Order now seeming very comfortable carrying the GWF flag in their position as CPC champs and look like they have potential to build a nice run. CPC Interstellar champ, Terminus, defeated Buck Steele/Genocide by DQ decision. Buck propels himself to the title match with his fortuitous DQ win against the Matador last month. Commissioner Guile wanted this to be another cage match at first to really spice up the show but Terminus refused. Guile wonders why but Terminus said “I’m not frightened of cage matches. I dabbled in them when I was in AFW but there’s no way I’m getting in a cage with him. If Genocide shows up I want a quick escape route”. Thantos puts his hand on a shoulder and assures “don’t worry we have a plan to take care of Genocide”. Would that involve the trap door again? Surely Genocide even in his hyped mental state would now be wise to that. Anyway the match begins and Terminus is his usual classy self, dominating Buck and soon going for HAMMERLOCK SLAM. Sure enough the move triggers Genocide. Terminus nervously looks over at Thantos who says “don’t worry. Take him on”. Terminus hesitatingly approaches him but is immediately laid out with a monster choke slam followed by a ring shuddering power bomb plus. He looks a defeated man, the plan better be a good one. Unfortunately the CPC plan fails miserably. It was simply a gang attack that goes wrong. Genocide was whipping Terminus and attempts CORPUS GENOCIDE which perfectly connects. That was the cue for Mad Jester and Splatter to storm the ring but Genocide is so hyped he foregoes the pin attempt and meets them halfway knocking them down like tenpins. Then hurls both of them at the same time into the crowd causing some panic. He returns to the ring and gives Terminus another CORPUS GENOCIDE. Surely all over but no! Somehow Terminus musters some fight and kicks out barely in time. With the sudden realisation dawning that he is going to have to do this on his own he takes the fight to Genocide. This monster is beatable after all as others have shown. He dishes HAMMERLOCK SLAM a couple of times but it doesn’t finish the match off. Instead Genocide comes back at him with a second big wave. Time for plan B. As Terminus is pounded the bell keeper looks poised. They are waiting for Genocide to do something that could be construed as illegal. Terminus manages to roll outside. Genocide follows him and falls into the trap as he plants Terminus into a ring post. It was the invitation the CPC officials were looking for to DQ him and save the belt. But Genocide is still coming after Terminus. Thankfully for Terminus the Outsiders have picked themselves up from their ‘into the crowd’ excursion and came back at Genocide fully armed. Faced with a barbed rattle and Arsenal Genocide still looks like he wants to play but just as he steps forward his body starts to shrink. In the blink of an eye Buck is now stood before them. Buck looks a little confused as he tries to remember what happened but it doesn’t take long to work out this is not a good situation. He spots an opening that will allow him to reach the runway and slips past his aggressors. They give pursuit but Buck gets away from them and reaches a beaming station just in time. With no way of knowing where he went the Outsiders are left frustrated with Splatter smashing Arsenal several times against the pod to work off his anger. CPC Cruiserweight champ, Prodigy, takes a purposeful loss to Nefarus by DQ. More eyebrows raised. At a known weight of 253 lbs Nefarus is not a cruiserweight but the CPC makes its own rules. A nifty foot under the scales at the weigh in from an official makes Nefarus look like a 200 pounder. It’s not exactly a title high on the Colonizer’s list but they have none at the moment so will take anything they can get. Even if it means doing something their Hitman contract meant they shouldn’t be doing and that’s competing against the CPC. The CPC manages to get the odds in their favour by confiscating Sentry’s weaponry and then just before curtain call going a step further and barring him from ringside. The justification being that they don’t want the fans getting sick from Sentry’s putrid odour should his suit break a seal or tear (as has happened before). Nefarus can’t be bothered with all the politics and just accepts the decision. He’s not exactly sold on the Cruiserweight belt anyway. But the way he wrestles suggests otherwise. In total control for virtually the whole duration. Got as far as laying on SCISSORDRIVER but although Thantos distraction attempts failed Prodigy manages to get a foot on the ropes. He’s still under pressure and gets hit with Genesis Rocket Launcher straight after. The impact sends him near the bottom of the ropes and Thantos pulls his man under them. He is heard to whisper “it’s not going well. Go for the DQ”. Prodigy nods and scrambles to for a ringside chair. Reaching one just before Nefarus grabs him. Turns and jabs it into his stomach. The bell goes and Prodigy keeps the belt. Nefarus is left coughing and spluttering at ringside. But that’s not all the drama over. Read on below. A new masked wrestler, Lycosa, appeared out of nowhere after Prodigy’s match with Nefarus. Appearing in the ring with mic in hand telling fans he was the next cruiserweight superstar and wanted to sign with the CPC. He urged Thantos to sign him up right now. Thantos stepped inside the ring to speak with Lycosa. He said he was impressed with Lycosa’s confident attitude and desire to join the best. As Thantos shook his hand in a friendship gesture Prodigy attacked Lycosa from behind tearing him apart limb from limb. Gets no help from Nefarus who has now reached his feet but chooses to stumble away. Clearly the Colonizers help nobody but themselves. With Lycosa down on the mat Thantos grabbed the mic and yelled that the CPC would never accept an “unproven masked piece of trash!” Prodigy adds “don’t’ call us, we’ll call you, NOT!” A few days after this Darkos announced Lycosa would be signing with the Masked Assassins and added more will be said about this at a future time. Presumably the 2106 press conferences. Mayhem stuns the Matador with a fast win in a Hitman match. The bombardment of the CPC in Hitman matches begins. It was understood that the Outcasts would be used as the first line of defence against the Hitmen but the Matador wrestling puts that theory out the window. Mr Colby and Ms Pelf are rubbing their hands together though. Their incredible wealth has made them greedy. The chance to boost their balances by winning cash from these matches is something they don’t want to pass up and they believe this will be a very prosperous venture. Sure as hell their wrestlers, if they win, won’t be allowed to keep the money. Anyway it doesn’t look to be an issue as Mayhem catches the Matador out by wrapping his chain around the neck and dragging him face first into the pole in the opening move. The Matador had momentarily turned his back and didn’t expect it. Next up Mayhem attempts LEAP OF DOOM and hits a devastating +5. The VIP gallery sit open mouthed as Mayhem is able to climb the pole and get the cash bag. Trouble is it took so long that by the time he gets it the Matador has recovered enough to be on his feet after that shocking assault and is desperate to restore some pride. He surprises Mayhem with BULLWHIP and is able to take possession of the cash bag. Mayhem is then set upon by CPC security and tasered to stop him fighting back. True to form the Matador isn’t able to leave with the cash. Magnus Colby immediately stands up in the gallery and wags a finger at him. The Matador obediently and very skilfully hurls the bag up to him and quietly leaves. Krakan fumes in the aftermath and demands the cash is paid back as Mayhem had won the match or face dire consequences. His demands go unheard so the next day he issues a midnight deadline. This passes too so Krakan officially declares war on the CPC for their skullduggery. In his words “this now goes beyond a mere contract”.
Bishop Hell looks far from a winner but beats Blazing Skull by DQ. Blazing is full of evil confidence after recent demolishment of both Talisman and Blade. But Bishop Hell is a very different animal to those guys. The Bishop hates Blazing almost as much as Pulsar for not stepping up when they were a team and getting him permanently retired from the GWF. The CPC seems to be less strict with heelish types and impose no restriction on Maleph being at ringside but do declare no flying around is allowed. The swooping might unsettle the crowds. Highly unlikely that Maleph would conform to that. The match begins with Blazing showing that confidence. Bishop Hell has to weather some fierce early offense before he can get a foothold in the match. But his fightback is pretty brief and Blazing in true hardcore style puts the action on the outside. He wants the hardcore action to get up close and personal with the higher class crowd. With the Bishop in close proximity Maleph just can’t resist adding to the chaos and flies towards him claws extended. He takes a chunk out of his shoulder. With the sight of blood not sitting easy with the crowd the ref brings a premature end. Blazing and Maleph just laugh when they hear the decision. Maybe this should of been booked as a Titan Death match. Later reports of some afters. The Bishop is lulled into a false sense of security as he thinks they have returned to Brymstone. He heads alone to the CPC treatment room to get his shoulder looked at. He finds the medic unconscious and Blazing waiting for him. In defending himself the treatment room gets scorched. We haven’t got all the gory details but there were casualties. The medic suffered some nasty burns whilst both Bishop Hell and Blazing Skull had to be moved onto a hospital with lacerations. Although Blazing soon departed before he could be seen to. The pristine, civilised nature of the hospital not to his liking and he pined for a return to the raging infernos of Brymstone. His attitude is “the wounds will heal themselves”. Word is Colby and Pelf loved what went on despite the expense of repairing the treatment room and paying medical expenses to the innocent medic involved. They want to build on this feud more.
Splatter runs roughshod over Soldier of Fortune in a cosmic cage match. Splatter is always excited to be entering the confines of a cage. Starts smashing the cage from the outside with Arsenal to check its sturdiness. As part of the Hitman contract deal this is match 1 of that agreement. Soldier of Fortune might be thinking he has been thrown under the bus by being selected to take a lunatic like Splatter on in this match type. Especially given his creaking body. His trepidation is well founded as Splatter takes him apart from the very second that cage door is closed. Batters Soldier of Fortune all over the cage and casually escapes after a Face Splatter. He then stands outside the cage looking up to the gallery with his Arsenal raised in the air emitting a blood curdling scream. The dignitaries rise to their feet to give him a respectful ovation. Soldier of Fortune waits in a sitting position inside the cage for Splatter to depart before attempting to leave the cage. Amazed he is still in one piece after that. US. Patriot crushed Hammer. The only all GWF match. Background was Hammer trying to attack his old mate on the last show. Adam has really got the bit between his teeth and wins this pretty easily. Uses ADAM’S ATOMIC BLAST to get the job done. Not sure Cassandra even if she wasn’t injured could of done much to help Hammer here. The gulf was too big.

Card 892 – SATURDAY NIGHT STARSLAMMERS – Mizar Solarsphere:
CPC wrestlers coming after GWF belts hard tonight with two chances to win. They are more serious about these belts than they like to let on. Whereas at the start of the year we were worried for them winning as it was suggested the belts might be thrown on the rubbish heap the feeling is very different now. All belts are important commodities.
THE GAUNTLET … feat MAGNUS COLBY & SONORA PELF … Incredible scoop for Qualitar getting them on his show and out of the opulence of Pelf Palace. Qualitar: “Welcome to the show. Thank you for coming on” … Pelf: “you can dispense with the small talk. We know you don’t like us and we have no interest in being here sat on cheap seats for any longer than is unnecessary. We are hear to make a few statements” … Qualitar: “ok. What is it you wanted to say?” … Colby: “in a gesture of goodwill and to show how respectful we are of the GWF we have offered Commissioner Grogan the chance to host the upcoming OTB tournaments at the grand surroundings of Pelf Palace. We don’t think any other venue can do them justice. Not even the old and decaying Deimos Intergalactic Arena. So we put that to your Commissioner right now. The ball is in his court” … Qualitar: “I remember OTB being held at the Palace a few years ago. The place looked very different back then but it was still very luxurious. But with all due respect it was one of the worst tournaments. I don’t think Grogan will be taking you up on that offer” … Colby: “he’d be unwise to refuse” … Qualitar: “you seem to have this deluded belief that CPC is greater than it is. The GWF is bigger and steeped in history. There’s no way you’ll build on what you already have. You’re just a larger than average GWF team” … Pelf: “there’s more people than you think desperate to join the CPC. Star Warrior calls us most days begging for his Champions team to be taken on. At the moment we haven’t got any suitable spots for him but maybe in the future if they can prove themselves worthy to us” … Qualitar: “I don’t believe that for a minute” … Pelf: “you can believe what you like but it is true. And for those who don’t want to join us, well, they can stew in their own mess when the CPC becomes the premiere wrestling organisation” … Qualitar: “you’ll never have credibility for as long as you make your belts almost impossible to win. The shenanigans on the last card were a disgrace” … Colby: “we don’t know what you are talking about. We use the same officials as the GWF and everyone gets a fair and equal chance” … Anyway the interview continues for a while longer much in the same vein. Colby and Pelf bragging about their organisation and gloating over the wealth they possess. They fail to see a bucket of water balanced precariously on a beam high above their sitting position. It’s been there since the start and the cameras have now picked up on it. Not sure if Qualitar had anything to do with it or one of the show staff had set it up. It looks like all it will take is one loud bang on the desk they are all sat around for it to topple. Unfortunately Colby and Pelf look like they have avoided being drenched as they prepare to leave. Colby gets off his chair but before departing cannot resist mocking the furnishings. Looks down at the chair and shouts “cheap cr*p” and forcefully pushes it back into the desk denting it. That was more than enough to send the bucket tumbling and both Colby and Pelf get soaked. To add insult to injury the bucket landed upside down over Pelf’s head. She shrieks “Maggie, get this thing off me”. Colby slips on the wet floor before getting his footing and pulling the bucket off her. He angrily tosses it at a sniggering Qualitar. Behind them there are roars of laughter from the crowd. The pair of them storm off looking like drowned rats with Colby shouting “typical behaviour from GWF filth. You won’t hear the last of this outrage”. Heavyweight champ, Pegasus, just unstoppable as he beats Matador of M83 again. Just when Pegasus thought he had swatted the Matador away when beating him back on #880 at FESTIVAL OF FIRE he is back to challenge again. The Matador always bounces back fast and an incredible run of form since that night pushes him back towards the top. Even when he suffered a hiccup against Mayhem at Pelf Palace in just two moves the Matador still came out looking strong. He may of lost but still got the cash for the CPC. It just adds to Krakan’s frustration to see him here. There maybe a Hitman’s contract out on the CPC but so far that’s not stopping them competing for GWF gold which means so far he is failing and not making as much money as hoped. Matador arrogantly strolls towards Pegasus and says “we meet again but this time it will be different. You think your special like your sh*t don’t stink or something. But you will be brought down a peg very soon”. Pegasus aims to continue showing his ruthless streak. He simply pushes him away “just another title defence in my book. I am the ‘Hero of Heroes’ and nobody will stop my march to becoming the longest running champion ever”. Now turns and points towards Thantos “that’s right, I am going to beat your record. You can keep sending your Basement Boys after me. But I’ll just keep beating them. Even Janus”. Thantos just stares up at him saying nothing. The silence is suddenly broken by Star Warrior shouting “watch out”. But it’s too late for the Matador has come up behind and wrapped his cape around Pegasus’s neck. Pulls him violently to the mat and starts dragging him around the ring. Desperate cries from within the crowd towards the ref to DQ the Matador but the bell hasn’t been rung. The ref is not sure what to do and just warns for a release. Star Warrior cannot contain his anger and rushes at Thantos but expertly gets taken down with a leg sweep. Thantos instantly applies MASTERLOCK and grabs the crowd barrier for leverage which leaves Star Warrior in agony. It’s carnage as Alpha Force now comes to the aid of his brother and Pegasus which in turn brings Janus and Prodigy out. It’s a prematch brawl of epic proportions. Goes on uncomfortably too long as word is Commissioner Grogan is watching and refuses to let security off the leash. He thinks it’s a good show. After about 5 minutes, which felt an eternity, he finally gives the ok to break it all up and about 20 eager bouncer type guys rush the ring to sort it out. The match will still go ahead but Star Warrior is badly hurt and in no condition to manage. Pegasus doesn’t look too clever either. Even the Matador isn’t unscathed having taken TOMAHAWK THRUST from Alpha Force and then been caught by a clumsy punch from one of the security guys as he tried to get up. After all that it’s a wonder they have enough left to still give a great match but that’s exactly what they do. They have their defensive games down so good it’s about ten minutes before a pin attempt even happens but when it does it’s dramatic. Pegasus plays his hand and goes for PROJECT PEGASUS. Naturally Thantos isn’t going to stand idly by and jumps onto the apron shouting at Pegasus “you will never be a great champion”. It touches a nerve and Pegasus gives chase to him nearly getting counted-out in the process. Star Warrior, who is still down, got kicked and trampled by Thantos in the process. Pegasus returns to the ring and picks up where he left off. The Matador fends him off as long as he can but funds himself victim to PROJECT PEGASUS again after several more minutes. Once again Thantos climbs onto the apron but this time a loud cheer goes up as Star Warrior defies the pain in his leg and reaches up to yank him backwards. The action catches Thantos by surprise and he falls awkwardly hitting his head on a table. Blood trickles down his face and looks to be emanating from his famous scar. With Thantos out the way there is nothing to stop Pegasus claiming a deserved win. Can anyone beat this guy for the belt? He’s now up to an incredible 52 cards and past a whole year with the belt and counting. Still got some way to go to match Thantos’s magic mark of 77 but who would bet against him doing it. Of course the loss for the Matador is a big blow to the CPC but surely they will be back if the Hitmen leave them alone for long enough. Maybe with Janus? Tag champs, Thunder and Overkill, destroyed Titan Attack. The Gladiators may be ruling the tag ranks but they cannot avoid the issue of losing to WAR in many key matches so far in 2105. The worst of which came at GALACTICON. They paint an exterior of no emotion but inside the Gladiator camp it is stress overload. At least they wouldn’t be facing New Order here. They are too busy defending the CPC tag belts to contemplate an assault on the GWF variants. So a Titan team steps up for the second time in as many months. The GWF sure is giving Lord Nexus plenty of chances to win them again. This time it is Titan Attack fresh off a morale boasting win over the Mercenaries. However the Gladiators are a completely different proposition and completely blow them away. It’s payback for dethroning them last time they were champions in a big upset. Overkill just mauls Ursa Major straight away and within a handful of moves beats him via DECAPITATOR. With two tag belt failures in successive months it might be a while before we see the Titans troubling the tag champions again. The next dream match would be if Thunder and Overkill face their enemies, New Order, as it would be the GWF tag champs against the CPC tag champs. Will either organisation be brave enough to book a potential unification match? Terminus in top form to beat Alpha Force for the Interplanetary belt. Alpha Force responds to criticism that he was so willing to risk the IP belt against the CPC, “if you don’t buy a ticket then you don’t win the lottery. Commissioner Guile agreed that as long as I give Terminus a title shot and win then I will be offered a chance at the CPC Interstellar belt back. I spoke to Commissioner Grogan about it and he thought it was a terrific idea”. There was though a certain ambiguity about the possibility of all this. Guile claiming “I didn’t promise a shot at the Interstellar belt. All I said was that he will be under consideration. That’s not a guarantee”. Alpha Force’s blood boils on hearing how he has probably been duped. Maybe it effected him because he loses a great match that had everything from ALPHA STRIKE to HAMMERLOCK SLAM. Both managers at each others throats too. But it’s Thantos who wins this particular battle as Terminus comes through after backward head slam knocked Alpha Force out cold. Unbelievably Terminus becomes the first CPC guy to win a GWF belt and also the first to hold belts in both organisations. That will be a trivia question sure to be asked long into the future. Blade stuns Blazing Skull in a brutal Four Weapons of Destruction match. The GALACTICON rematch comes earlier than anyone would of imagined given Archon’s usual overbearing influence and it is a soul destroying outcome for Blazing Skull. Blade pulls out a stunning victory in one of wrestling’s most dangerous match types. It didn’t start too well for Blade as Blazing initially butchered him with all the weapons. One incident had everyone wincing as Blazing dived off the turnbuckle for a clothesline with the Stun Rod. Blade then fell back into the electrified buckle. That was two tokens alone but as if Crossfire was watching over him like an angel Blade was able to battle back. Got to grips with all the weapons and it went more or less right down to the wire. Incredibly Blade was able to get the chain round Blazing’s neck. In a crowd pleasing finishing move he then whipped him straight into the turnbuckle covered in barbed wire. It’s enough to see Blazing off once and for all. He hit hard and then just stayed slumped in the corner. The crowd goes mad for the outcome. Blade later smiles when he hears the extent of the injuries Blazing suffered and says “he was lucky, that was mild. I will keep on punishing him for what happened to my brother. It was no accident, he is a murderer”.
Another highly satisfying side effect of this is with Blazing Skull being injured 4 cards there is a strong possibility he will be out of the ONLY THE BEST Hardcore bracket next month. Prodigy and Janus beats Mayhem and Mutant in a Hitman match. The phrase round pegs in square holes comes to mind when seeing Krakan trying to put Mayhem and Mutant together. But he wanted to get the most hardcore pairing imaginable to make a mark on the CPC. Mayhem and Mutant certainly meet the criteria for that if nothing else. They aren’t actually a bad team but Janus and Prodigy were too smart for them in the end. Some interesting battles saw Prodigy dominate Mayhem and hit THE PERFECT SINGLES FINISHER a few times without success. Bizarrely he then struggled against Mutant and had to make a desperate defensive tag. When Janus gets in becomes one way traffic and GORDION KNOT leads to the win and the acquisition of for cash for the CPC. The guy is pretty incredible and I cannot remember when he last lost. He and Pegasus are head and shoulders above the rest these days. The Mercenaries gets the better of Transevolver in a Hitman match. Doomsayer must be sick of the sight of the Mercenaries. Their feud looked like it was over a while back but the Hitman contract now out on the CPC has thrown the two teams together again. Transevolver looks to stamp their authority all over the match. Pretty much in control for the majority of the bout yet they still ended up losing. Vigilante managed to catch Monad with a Rifle Shot and then scuppered Dreadnaught’s attempts to interfere with the pin. Doomsayer’s big experiment with this team has not fared well, mired in mediocrity. Transevolver is fast becoming the weak link of the CPC. They need to do something big to get back in favour with the employers. Simply winning a few matches here and there will not cut the mustard. Raven beats Draconian Sheik by DQ. Aside from his solid performance in the GALACTICON main event Raven hasn’t done a huge amount in the last couple of months. He says some niggling long term injuries flared up and necessitated a rest period. Chooses quite the opponent to return against in the wild Drac. What’s more there would be no Destructon 3000 to act as a buffer to the dangerous Terrorists. They become problematic attacking after BROADSWORD. Almost leads into Drac winning soon after with DRACONIAN BACKBREAKER. Raven hangs in there and gets back on top as Drac missed a deathjump. He could see Raven moved but was committed to the jump. The momentum then swings back and forth for the next few minutes until Drac loses by DQ for getting distracted by a camera flash and trying to jump into the crowd. Stewards armed with tasers step quickly into action and bring him under control.
US. Patriot looking good as he overcomes Dynamo. Tight finish as time limit approaches with both busting out some big moves. What Adam lacks in muscle he makes up for with sheer heart and determination. It’s always been his way. He bombards Dynamo with everything he has got and unleashes ADAM’S ATOMIC BLAST. No getting up after that. Maxine Babe shrieks to see her latest object of desire laying there lifeless. She tries to smooch him back around. Dynamo does come back to life but pushes her aggressively off him. He’s in no mood for her affection having lost the match. Most male fans watching will be scratching their heads and wishing they could take his place. DARK MATCHES Karah beats Malice by DQ. Unbelievable that Malice is taking on so many matches against lower card guys just so he can build fragile confidence up. He is really packing a punch and poor Karah stands no chance against the angry young Gladiator. Except Malice goes too far in his assaulting and ends up with an embarrassing DQ loss. Despite this the improvement in Malice is noticeable even if his body language still gives off a vibe of low confidence. Vertigo breezes to a win over Pollux. With the shock of Genesis Prime’s record time loss to Assassin Greatness still reverberating Vertigo takes to what should be a squash match for a needed lift. He takes care of business within 5 moves. A third MOTION SICKNESS in a row doing the deed. The dizzying effects are too much for Pollux. He hopes the sickness will pass and tries to get up the runway and out of sight. Embarassingly halfway down the nausea finally overcomes him and he stoops to chunder.
