Card 899 – Pelf Palace:
The Palace is adorned in all it’s usual opulent décor. The entire ring is now surrounded by an ultra expensive carpet and the curtains to the runway are woven from the finest silk in the cosmos. The wealth of Colby and Pelf shows no sign of abating. Hologramatic images promoting the upcoming CPC CHALLENGE are also being beamed onto the walls and ceiling of the Palace. There are also some very high profile guests sat with them in the gallery. The Sultan of Spica, King Achtoo of Gliese, Admiral Kirsch and film star Leeza Golden to name just a few. US. Patriot shocks Janus in a Titan Death match to become the new CPC Heavyweight champ. Adam hopes he will be given a decent crack of the whip to try and win this thing. Thantos has to sit among the VIPs for a birdseye view of the action due to the Titan Death stipulations. Guess the advantage is you can see things better from up on high but somehow am sure he will try and influence things. As soon as Adam is announced the small section of GWF fans stuck in a darkened corner make themselves heard but they get immediately drowned out by the Gladiatorial music of Janus. He is like an Emperor entering the Roman Coliseum. Even the VIPs, including Colby and Pelf, stand up for his entrance. Although Adam is desperate to get stuck into him he lets it all play out before him. Standing against a turnbuckle with his hands on the ropes biding his time. Janus finally makes it into the ring and removes all his armour. The belt is the last thing to come off. All the time Adam watches but the very second Janus beckons he explodes into action. There are immediately uncomfortable looks in the gallery as Adam totally dominates the champ. Not long before he hits ADAM’S ATOMIC BLAST. But amid the explosive attacking salvo the ref took a bump. Rather convenient that as he was unable to make the pin count. A frustrated Adam revives him and goes for a deathjump but Janus is able to turn the tables and throw him off the top. Thantos gives a hand signal which Janus spots and he immediately goes for GORDION KNOT. Groans among the GWF section. Looks all over now but somehow Adam breaks free and lives to fight another day. Shock resonates throughout the VIP gallery as Adam uses this a catalyst for another massive offensive wave. Janus is struggling to hold him off and the tokens starts creeping up. They get as high as 5 when Adam decides, for the the third time in the match, to try and end it with ADAM’S ATOMIC BLAST. Thantos panics and leaves his seat but there is no way he is going to get anywhere near ringside in time. The only hope is for a miraculous kick out from Janus. But he is sparko and doesn’t move as the reluctant referee slides in to make the count. He draws it out and under normal circumstances that was more like a ten count but there wasn’t even a twitch. Thantos reaches the ring just in time to see the CPC belt being handed over to Adam. He cannot believe this has happened. Risks a look up towards the gallery for a reaction but a shutter had been swiftly pulled down and the area vacated. It’s the first difficult moment Thantos is now going to have to deal with since his defection after a run of unprecedented success and plaudits. He is defiant in the aftermath and calls this a small bump in the road, confidently predicts that the CPC belt will soon be returned to the Penthouse Suite and this was nothing more than a fluke.
Sure enough plans to return the belt quickly back to the CPC are put into place. The very next day Commissioner Guile reveals the small print of the match contract stipulated that US. Patriot, should he win, must defend the belt immediately at the next card ALL STARS in a match type of the challengers choosing. The challenger will be kept a mystery until the bout itself. It is expected either Janus or the Matador will be tasked with winning the belt back. Although a curve ball would be to send someone from the Outcasts in. Imagine the damage someone like Splatter could do in a match with possible no DQ stipulations. CPC Cruiserweight champ, Prodigy, has to be at his very best to see off Enigma. The Cruiserweight category is about to get very interesting. With the future arrival of Lycosa and Enigma now finally stepping up to the plate. It was the first big threat to Prodigy’s belt tonight. So far largely unchallenged with weak opponents. His ex-partner, Skinhead, has also showed no sign of being on his level when they have met. Both guys have a pre match showdown trying to make the more spectacular entrance but that would never match up to the incredible wrestling we were about to witness. You could forget about the speeding motorbikes and incredible colourful costumes. This was all about high flying action between two exceptionally gifted guys. They waste no time in thrilling the crowds. In one fab passage of wrestling Enigma walks the ropes and then applies a scissors hold to Prodigy only to have it countered so that he over rotated into a pin position on himself. It was spectacular and just a small sample of what took place. There was no way of knowing who might win but eventually Prodigy manages to come through with THE PERFECT SINGLES FINISHER. Could Darkos of done more to help Enigma? He seemed to freeze under the glare of Colby and Pelf. But surely Enigma had done more than enough to come after this belt again. Feels as if we have barely scratched beneath the surface of this feud.
In winning the match Prodigy rolled a 1 and 3 which of course means lottery time. Word is Splatter was primed ready to attack. The implications of such a battering could of been huge but he was foiled at the last second. Thantos got wind of the plan and had ensured some heavies were on standby to stop him. The only reason Splatter got as far as he did, hiding behind the silk curtain, was because if Enigma had won the attack would of been allowed to proceed unhindered. Splatter was made to pay for his intended actions. Enforcing its own brand of justice the CPC throws him in a darkened room in the bowels of the palace for 48 hours with no food and water to ‘think about his actions’. CPC Interstellar champ, Terminus, loses to Archon by DQ. No doubt that Archon is excited for his first chance of singles glory. Admittedly he’d prefer it if he was competing for a GWF title but acknowledges the role he has been tasked with. To carry the banner for the home fed and try to help capture CPC belts. There is a frosty exchange with his ex-manager Thantos. Archon knew he would be a great manager as proven in the way he led No Fear to victory over the Lords of Fire against the odds. But he never trusted him fully. Once a villain always a villain. Although Archon had embraced the union as he tries to see the good in everybody. Thantos plays on this and approaches his old ‘student’ offering a handshake. Archon hesitates at first but then goes to accept it. Trying to be the bigger man. But Thantos then grabs his hand and delivers a Satanic Skullsmasher and throws him in the ring just in time for the opening bell. Thantos was laughing as he shouts “you were right not to trust me. A leopard never changes its spots”. But Terminus fails to capitalise and looks in grave danger of losing another belt. Archon brushes off the Skullsmasher incident and soon has Terminus tied in knots. He gets to experience every single one of Archon’s favoured finisher moves. By the time he falls into CROSS KNEE RACK Thantos has seen enough. He brazenly enters the ring and comes down across the back of the Archon’s head with a ferocious elbow. Thantos then urges the officials to ring the bell and DQ his own man. Although it was a hefty blow Archon has enough wherewithal to roll out of the ring. He knows this is a battle he cannot win for now. Best thing is to get out of there and come back again with a new plan to nullify Thantos. For now he can take satisfaction that he had Terminus in the palm of his hand until Thantos so cruelly intervened. Mad Jester pinned Vyper. CPC relaxes the rule on allowing Mollock to be at ringside. Becomes a disaster as Magnus Colby and Sonora Pelf make a rare ringside appearance to provide distractions, or as they call it helpful assistance, for one of the Outsiders tonight. Mollock is instantly attacked by Mad Jester and in a bid to fend him off collides with Sonora Pelf. In a performance an actress would be proud of she is stretchered away from the scene requiring oxygen with her expensive dress torn. The immediate response from the CPC is to demand that the GWF bans this dangerous beast for assaulting and injuring Sonora Pelf. It’s all a staged performance as Sonora Pelf is soon back among the gallery and spent the rest of the evening wining and dining with the respective VIPs. Yet the next day she posts pictures of herself on Spacebook bedridden and barely able to move. Almost forgot there was a match that took place against this backdrop. Vyper was perhaps unsettled by what had happened and surrenders meekly to Jester. A Joker Flip gets the job done. More news on the fate of Mollock soon to be revealed.
Splatter smashes Mayhem in a cage match. A match made in Hardcore Heaven. These two would wrestle in nothing but cage matches if they could. In a spectacular start both meet up on the outside and start grappling violently. They then climb the cage as a means of entry and are fighting each other all the way up. As they reach the top Mayhem rams Splatter into the corner of the cage causing him to fall in. Mayhem then climbs down a few rungs and dives right down onto him. What a start. When Mayhem follows with DANGER ZONE it’s almost an immediate loss for Splatter. With one foot outside the door Mayhem hears “going somewhere?” and gets violently yanked back by the hair. Splatter is only just getting going and turns Mayhem to a bloody mess. The sight of all the blood just makes Splatter stronger and stronger. Mayhem has no answer. It is shocking to see him manhandled in his favourite type of match. When Splatter smashed with MEET ARSENAL it’s a wonder Mayhem stayed in it. Splatter’s escape attempt was so ponderous it was as if he wanted to be caught so he had an excuse to continue the battering. And so it continued with THE SHREDDER numerous times. Splatter finally tires of the beating. Mayhem pathetically crawls towards Splatter but just ends up getting his fingers stamped on. Splatter then casually places Arsenal over the shoulder and walks out the cage door. The gallery takes notice and looks suitably impressed. Buck Steele wins over Painmaster by DQ. The CPC convinces these two usually ‘pro’ GWF guys that Pelf Palace is a great stage to play out their feud. They have measures in place to control Genocide should he make an appearance. The potential show is worth the risk. Unfortunately it’s not the show they wanted. Despite Painmaster putting Buck in THE TORTURE RACK there is no change. Buck managed to fight out of it on his own. Painmaster then finds himself under pressure and goes out of the ring to initiate a brawl. Magnus Colby is aghast when he rips the chair leg out of one of their expensive tables. The ref sees the reaction to the vandalism and disqualified Painmaster for doing this. Disappointing finish. Buck later says of the match booking “the fact we wrestled here at the Palace against each other means nothing. Any chance to take on that scumbag Painmaster I will take. It could of been anywhere”. He then went onto publicise the scheming methods of the CPC “they desperately wanted Genocide. They offered more money if I changed. But I cannot turn it on and off like a tap. One of their security guys even accidentally on purpose jolted me a taser shortly before I went out but it was far too low a dose. I’m glad I didn’t give them the satisfaction and I prefer to win my matches as Buck more. It may only of been by DQ but a win’s a win”.
CPC Tag Tournament: Royal Court piles more pressure onto Transevolver. How many chances does Transevolver need to prove themselves as big players on the tag team scene? If this was the GWF they’d be at the bottom of the card but here they continue to get pushed and receive yet another chance to win the CPC tag belts back despite year long mediocrity. In a surprise Exo-King was allowed ringside and is putting out fires all over the place. His interventions offered Royal Court a way back into the match after his son, Jack, got in the path of Dreadnaught’s GUIDED MISSILE. Doomsayer looks astounded that ‘home advantage’ is not helping his team but it seems his team has been too much of a letdown in the past months and they are on their own. Transevolver needs to prove themselves to Colby and Pelf before they will get the same privileges as the Penthouse Suite. And they do themselves no favours for they let their authority slip after Dreadnaught’s near miss. Monad dropped the baton badly when tagged in and got slugged with Exo-King’s sceptre after trying to savage Jack on the outside. The ref thought about the DQ but when he looks up to Sonora Pelf she shakes her head to say no. Jack has the impetus and gets Monad back in the ring and lands BLACK DIAMOND. Doomsayer scrambles to stop the pin knowing how weak Monad is on kickouts. His exoskeleton legs just don’t shift him quickly enough and the match is lost. Another disaster for Transevolver. New Order makes short work of the Upstart Punks. Not sure how the Punks got themselves in contention for the tag belts. Although they have done some dirty work for the CPC in the past so perhaps this was a thank you. They are not given much chance against New Order. It was also a surprise to see New Order included as it had looked like they’d burned their bridges. Perhaps even more surprising was the fact they accepted the chance to win them back after they way they’d been treated. But Destructon 3000 was keen to show the CPC up. What better way than by winning this tournament. They certainly make good on that statement as New Order blew the Punks away. Dreggs needing little more than a couple of minutes to put Taurine away with TWIST AND SHOUT. As they are proclaimed winners the cameras hone in on Commissioner Guile. He clenches a fist in frustration. Word on the street was the ref had been under strict instruction to DQ the New Order on the tiniest transgression but he never got the slightest chance.

Hi Mate, that is so kind. I really appreciate the comment. I find it tough to play because of work and the kids but am determined to keep plugging away. I wish I was caught up in 2137, I sense I never will be but just don't want to miss the classic years! I am thankful for online. Whilst I own the cards I could never progress my fed without being able to play online. Looking forward to when you start posting again, I will keep a watch for it

Yeah two years ago when I found my stuff again I sat down and came up with a format that moves a little faster than I wanted for my LAW fed but I always built in to go back and play out its territories. We will see.

Card 900 – SATURDAY NIGHT STARSLAMMERS + CPC ALL STARS – Titan Sportatorium and Pelf Palace:
The Titans always love coming home to perform in front of the fans. Although they’ve never been that good at capitalising on home advantage with very mixed results over the years. So it can hardly be described as a fortress. The Titan Sportatorium is very proud to be hosting STARSLAMMERS but the CPC is broadcasting ALL STARS at the same time. Not for the first time they are trying to steal away the GWF fans and viewers by going head to head in the ratings. Attendance in the Sportatorium is also affected. It’s normally a sell out but tonight it’s only 75% full. It might have been lower had it not been for Lord Nexus being on the bill. Still got the wrestling itch and going up against the annoying Johnny Rocket in a unique match. As usual when this happens Commissioner Grogan does not recognise the two shows as separate cards and in the history books this will be recorded as just 1 card.
GWF STARSLAMMERS SECTION:
Heavyweight champ, Pegasus, frustrates arch rival Chaos and wins by DQ. At 56 cards Pegasus now has the third longest Heavyweight belt reign in history (not including classics era where some very long reigns spanned much fewer cards). He is closing in on Thantos second best mark of 58 but of course there is the longer reign of 77, set way back in 2090, which is still some way off. If he threatens that Thantos will be sure to step up the efforts of the CPC to get the belt off him. For now though Chaos poses a big threat. The big man is reborn after OTB triumph at the expense of Pegasus plus a recent DQ victory over the Matador. The posturing begins almost immediately with Chaos taking a hold of the floating mic and suggesting Pegasus is a cowardly champion for not being able to do anything without Star Warrior at ringside. He goes on “if you want to be a great champion in the mould of Chaos you need to learn to stand on your own two feet. I challenge you to send that goody two shoes away and see if you can still end the night wearing that belt. Who knows I might even respect you after that”. Pegasus takes the bait “nobody calls me cowardly. If that’s how you want it then you got it. I’ll still beat you and prove your win at OTB was a lucky one. I am the hero of heroes and nothing you do will stop me”. Star Warrior can’t quite believe what he is hearing. He remonstrates with Pegasus over the decision. But Pegasus has always had a stubborn and arrogant streak. That never left him after his switch to the hero side. He pulls rank over his manager and sends him away. Star Warrior rarely shows unnecessary aggression but he kicks over a chair as he walks away. He turns to shout back “I hope we don’t regret this. I’ll be behind the curtain if you need me”. Chaos has grown impatient of this pantomime and moves to engage. He takes a fleeting look over at the belt glistening on the ring announcer’s table before offering up a test of strength to get things underway. It’s a titanic tussle with momentum constanly being traded. Chaos does clamp BOW OF DEFEAT on a few times but Pegasus refuses to give in and breaks out each time it is applied. Chaos seems very keen to bail outside any time Pegasus gets a head of steam to break the flow. It is a dangerous game as he is often flirting with a DQ possibility with some of his actions. Sure enough he falls foul of such tactics. Fearing that Pegasus is building towards PROJECT PEGASUS after weakening him in a Cetus Figure Four he takes to the floor again and hobbles off. When Pegasus follows him Chaos turns and choke slams into the ring steps. Before the ref calls for the inevitable DQ Star Warrior, who was already twitchy, runs to the ring in a bid to protect Pegasus from further injury. He has still got some moves and rocks the big man with a flying body press but it is not long before he is overpowered. Things get even wilder as Heracles and Colussus join the fun and we have quite the brawl on our hands. Takes some sorting out. Amid the melee the announcer confirms what we were all expecting and that Chaos has been disqualified. The whole brawl sets the scene nicely for a future match that will pit Pegasus and Colussus against Chaos and Heracles. But Chaos has blown his opportunity here and must now wait patiently for another chance to win the belt. X-Termination stay hot to beat New Order and win the tag belts. Emotions still raw between the two teams despite focus on different feuds. They now contest the tag belts which makes things very interesting. Of course the New Order also has one eye on their forthcoming match for the CPC variants having made the final of that tournament. So a big couple of weeks for them. In a little side note the CPC had wanted their tag belts filled on this same ALL STARS show but New Order refuses to wrestle twice in quick succession. Teleports mean they can be at Pelf Palace in no time at all but that’s not the point. Surprisingly Commissioner Guile agrees to postpone the match to CPC CHALLENGE. But it’s been taken too well. Surely more to it than that. But first things first New Order have to try and get through this. Facing their main rivals from the last few years before the feud with the Gladiators took centre stage. X-Termination has every reason to be confident, they are the hottest team around after taking the OTB tag tournament. They rush in swinging their guitars and clear the ring. Johnny Rocket shows no lingering effects from his loss to Lord Nexus earlier and is noisier than ever on the mic constantly proclaiming “here are the new tag champions”. It takes an age for the officials to convince Sleeze and Grunge to put their instruments down so New Order can get back in the ring. But there is one last trick before the bell. Grunge has an open bottle of beer tucked into his trousers. He hurls the liquid into the face of Dreggs and quickly grabs the guitar back off the floor to smash it over the head. He then laughs as Dreggs stumbles around trying to rub the double vision out of his eyes. Destructon 3000 demands the ref call the DQ but it all happened before the match had begun. There was nothing that could be done. Leaves Dreggs in a struggling position to begin but he shows real grit to battle back and make the hot tag. It doesn’t take much to invoke Mace’s temper but given the way his team got jumped at the start he literally had steam coming out of his ears. Grunge paid for it as he soon felt MACE’S LITTLE HELPER. Incredibly Grunge got a shoulder up to foil the pin. Mace rages again and starts a sequence of tossing Grunge out of the ring. Every time Grunge gets back in then out he goes again. After a while Grunge stays out on the floor. But he’s now playing possum. Johnny kicks the guitar near to him and gets to work on the mic with a heavy distraction of the ref. This also has the desired effect of diverting Destructon 3000’s attention too. So when Mace goes to drag Grunge back in he gets a surprise shot in the face with the weapon. Grunge bundles Mace back into the ring and hits KILLER AIR GUITAR. Dreggs cannot help his partner because Sleeze rushes round the apron to exchange blows. The crowd gasps as Grunge now covers. The ref turns and looks a little surprised to see the pin attempt but obediently makes the count. Mace is too late with the push off and the tag belts are lost. As Johnny Rocket excitedly grabs the belts both Grunge and Sleeze hold up their guitars in a threatening manner to ward off any retribution from New Order. This had been one of their finest gigs. The Centaurians triumphant over Brymstone Burning in a wild best of three 6 man tag match. Big match but the Centaurians are hamstrung by Talisman still being injured. But he didn’t want to miss this for the world. Could he be carried through it? Probably a bad idea to wear all that strapping and show the injury. Might as well of painted a massive bullseye on it for the sadistic Brymstonians target the injury at every opportunity. Good job both Archon and Blade come into it in good form and therefore brimming with confidence or else the Centaurians might be in big trouble. Usually Archon tries to protect Blade and do everything but he places much more trust in the youngster nowadays. Despite a rocky ride it’s a policy that works out for them … Blade goes over Blazing Skull by DQ. First fall goes the way of the Centaurian trio. Quickly becomes clear the Brymstonians don’t really care about the outcome. They just want to brawl and inflict pain and suffering. Blazing gets Blade outside where Maleph can swoop at him. Blade gets lacerated by Maleph’s talons … Blazing Skull levelled it up as he pinned Talisman. Long battle but it proved to be a difficult second fall for the Centaurians. Archon was savaged by Death’s Head taking FUNERAL MARCH countless times. Blade tried to pick up the baton but got very tired. Talisman was forced into more action than the team would of liked. Had a ropey time and most of the strapping around his ribs was hacked off by the sharp fingernails of Death’s Head. With wounds exposed he was then fed to Blazing Skull. Despite a valiant effort he got caught by a sunset flip and pinned. The only silver lining was during the fall the ref ejected Maleph from ringside. Surprisingly the evil creature complied with the ruling … Archon wins the pivotal fall over Blazing Skull. There was no Maleph but the Brymstonians were no less brutal in another lengthy battle. However Archon found his form and gave Blazing a painful experience trying virtually all his submission moves. Finally Blazing cracked when in CROSS KNEE RACK. What made it all the more satisfying was the way Blade took both members of the Lower World with a cross body that sent one toppling back onto the other as they tried to interfere. Buck Steele/Genocide beats Heracles by DQ. The medallion man, Heracles, gets a hostile GWF reception. The rumours that he wants to jump ship are still doing the rounds. Is there even a CPC necklace buried in that chest rug? The commentary team swears they got a fleeting glance. His opponent, Buck Steele, is aiming high by taking Heracles on but he has been building some big momentum what with his recent OTB cage bracket triumph and also a win over Painmaster. However he catches Heracles on a good day and very quickly gets smashed with OLYMPIA. It’s enough to turn Buck into Genocide. Immediately the tide turns and Genocide is battering Heracles all over the ring. It takes a while for Heracles to get used to what he is up against but once he does he manages to go toe to toe. Once again he hits OLYMPIA and it’s enough to floor Genocide. Not too many beat Genocide but it looks like Heracles might have a chance. But then it’s not long before things go outside the ring. A brawl erupts. The ref gives it every chance but when Heracles picks up a chair with which to assault Genocide his hand is forced and calls the bell. Not that it stopped Genocide. He ripped the chair off Heracles and threw it down the runway. It was an incredible throw and lucky it didn’t go into the crowd. In a cowardly act Heracles then grabs Anaxis and uses her as a shield again Genocide. The monster hesitates and shows enough control to realise he shouldn’t attack. With Anaxis held up in front almost like a hostage Heracles is able to back away and up the runway to safety. Genocide then changes back to Buck Steele and things become a lot calmer. Post match Heracles loses his cool in questioning over his loyalties beyond this year, grabbing his interviewer by the throat and bellows “I am free to choose, people need to get off my back”. The young man being assaulted barely mumbles “but all choices have consequences”. Heracles reacts by throwing him backwards into some lockers sending them tumbling like dominos. Touchy. Lord Nexus crushed Johnny Rocket. If you thought the reception Scion Nexus got was big it was nothing compared to this. Lord Nexus is Titan’s most famed and cherished treasure. It is unbelievable that after over 20 years Lord Nexus is still competing at a high level in the ring. Has taken so many bumps in his time but cannot resist the urge to still wrestle now and then. He tells Qualitar pre-match “you’re only as old as you feel and at the moment I feel great. Can’t wait to get started”. Perhaps cheering for him hardest is the legendary Billy Jo Boxer who is in the crowd a few rows back. At first Lord Nexus doesn’t notice him but then he detects that familiar voice and spots him. Points towards Billy Jo who yells “What’s up Bro?”. The crowd in front of him parts so Billy Jo can came forwards and hug his old partner. But the embrace is broken up Johnny Rocket smashing his mic into the back of Lord Nexus. It gives Johnny the early upper hand but he is kidding himself if he thinks he can beat a legend like Nexus. He cannot make the advantage stick and soon gets out wrestled in every department. In a cringeworthy moment Johnny drops to his knees begging for mercy but Lord Nexus just delivers TITAN DROP. Nexus didn’t see that Rocket had a leg tangled on the rope. That was the only reason the count was broken by the ref. An immediate follow up with a running slingshot ensures it is a happy homecoming. As Lord Nexus celebrates the win Johnny recovers and goes to strike with the mic again. Billy Jo jumps the barrier on seeing the plan and lays Johnny out with TKO. Brilliant finish as the two legends that once graced the ring as Titan Power hold their arms aloft. Thousands of flashes from within the crowd as everyone takes pictures to capture this precious moment. Scion Nexus against Dynamo ends in a time limit draw. Massive pop from what there is of the crowd for Scion. The Titans love him for what he has achieved so far and what he is sure to do in the future. He’s a real hot prospect. On the other side of the ring Dynamo looks a bit pathetic. Alone and managerless. Word is that Johnny Rocket is having second thoughts about facing Lord Nexus tonight and was backstage desperately looking for a way out of his commitment to wrestle. Means we can get a decent match with no interruptions. It is eventful for Scion. During its course he survives MUSCLE RIPPER and then had his attempt at THE RISE AND FALL foiled. Ultimately neither can quite hit a big enough move to finish things and the time expires. CPC ALL STARS SECTION: CPC Heavyweight champ, US. Patriot, destroyed Janus in a cage match. The CPC forces Adam to defend his newly acquired belt straight away or be stripped of the belt immediately. Adam wants to be a fighting champion and agrees. Not that he had much option. He was left guessing right til the last second as to who he would face and what the match rules would be. The bookies felt the CPC would go for the element of surprise and give Bishop Hell his big push but suddenly a mini chariot pulled by robotic horses bursts through the silk curtains with Janus standing atop of it. The Emperor was back to reclaim his throne. On seeing this Adam exits the ring to discuss tactics with Commander Sam but they don’t get long to talk as Janus almost runs them over with his chariot. He then jumps straight down on Adam flooring him and drags him into the ring. Within seconds a cage comes up out of the ground and surrounds the ring. The identity of the match now revealed. The good old Cosmic Cage. Sam loses his cool as he is now ordered to vacate the ring area in keeping with the stipulations. The CPC deals with him quickly as Dreadnaught, showing all contempt for Sam is back, joins Thantos to help remove him. Thantos manages to trap Sam in a full nelson whilst Dreadnaught slugs away at the torso. After a couple of minutes Sam goes limp and he is dragged away by security. Later found dumped outside the Palace amid trash cans. Adam can barely concentrate on seeing this. He cannot assist Sam or else the title will be lost. It all looks stacked against Adam but in one of the most amazing performances ever he blows Janus away in little over a minute. Almost instantly he surprises Janus with a Running Rocket Shot. The former champ was busy taunting Sam who was still being dragged away at this point and thought Adam was still down. Adam seized the opportunity and goes for the escape and is almost out the door when Janus grabs an ankle. But Adam kicks him away and Janus clatters into the cage side. Adam probably could of made another escape attempt but he chooses to go the top rope. Using the cage sides to help steady himself then launches with a perfect flying clothesline. The gallery looks pained. They cannot believe their treatment of Commander Sam hasn’t disrupted Adam’s rhythm. Next up is a FREEDOM FLYER and this time there is no stopping Adam. He easily exits the cage. Annoyed officials throw the CPC belt at his feet rather than hand it over. Adam hastily grabs it and tosses it over his shoulder. Showing there is more to life than wrestling he makes his greater priority locating his manager and checking on his health. Pictures of him finding Sam and them both then celebrating with the gold amid the garbage of the Palace become iconic and find their way onto the internet in no time at all. Alpha Force goes over Terminus by DQ in a non-title match. Gripping match. Aside from obvious desire of the Champions team to take on the CPC, which hasn’t happened nearly enough this year, there is the appetite Alpha Force has for capturing the IP belt. But with that path currently blocked by a sitting hero champion he thinks the Interstellar belt is worth pursuing. Challenged Terminus publicly but gets turned down. Then turns up the heat by saying “not much of a Commissioner you have got if he is letting the wrestlers call the shots. B. Guile was always weak and with him at the helm the CPC will never become anything”. That was enough to provoke a reaction and B. Guile rules that Alpha Force has plenty to prove. Disregarding this match Alpha Force must be prepared to return to Pelf Palace next month and defeat one of the other wrestlers on the CPC roster by pin or submission to earn the shot. Instantly turns this match into something of a dead rubber. Alpha Force remains professional and vows to give his all for the match anyway. He owes Terminus one for originally losing the IP belt to him back on #892 and it’s always good to defeat CPC guys on their own turf. Plus the tension outside the ring between the two managers Thantos and Star Warrior is always worth the admission price. Becomes a really good match. Terminus in early command with HAMMERLOCK SLAM. But Alpha Force comes back strong and hit TOMAHAWK THRUST and ALPHA STRIKE. Neither guy is giving it up though. Unfortunately Thantos then decides he wants a bit of the action as Alpha Force tumbles outside. Starts laying a boot in and Terminus joins him. Star Warrior doesn’t stand idly by but Alpha Force took a fair few shots before he could intervene. Alpha Force wins by DQ but the message from Thantos is loud and clear. If you dare to come after the Interstellar belt then this is what you’ll be dealing with. Not too late to change your mind.
Prodigy does the biz against Hammer in a non-title match. Usually Prodigy is arrogance personified but he has been looking pretty uncomfortable in the past couple weeks. Feels the emergence of Lycosa and Enigma are a real threat to his Cruiserweight superiority. Rumour is that the CPC wanted him to defend against Enigma again after their stellar match last time out but Prodigy boldly refused. So it’s a match against a former teammate, Hammer, instead for now. Not that it should pose any problems for someone of his class. Hammer could of done with more help from Cassandra. But she is very neglecting of her managerial duties. More concerned with flirting with Thantos. Hammer does his best and manages to use his singles finisher, HAMMER’S LOCK, a couple of times so it wasn’t a total walkover. But Prodigy fends off the danger and gets into the groove. He wraps it up with THE PERFECT SINGLES FINISHER and gets his usual self confidence back.
Raven far too good for Bishop Hell. High profile match for the Bishop. He wants to convince the likes of Guile, Colby and Pelf he is worth a push for one the CPC belts at some point. Especially if Janus falters again tonight. Unfortunately he does himself no favours. Generally outclassed by Raven and convincingly beaten via BROADSWORD. Raven has made it known he would like the opportunity to compete for the CPC belt himself but is staying in the background for now as he doesn’t want to tread on US. Patriot’s goes. Bishop Hell is looking for another big match to recover quickly from this and later makes a public challenge for Pulsar to come to Pelf Palace and face him again. He tried to also downplay this loss by saying there was difficulty to get motivated to beat a goody two shoes like Raven.
Splatter and Mad Jester (aka the Crazy Gang) upset Genesis Prime. Early signs that the CPC is looking towards a new tag team to take them forward. With Transevolver performing so poorly Splatter and Jester are put together. Tagging not exactly their cup of tea but it is a frighteningly unhinged team. They have no official name but are already being nicknamed ‘the Crazy Gang’. They live up to that moniker by terrorising Genesis Prime after getting past a sticky start. Mad Jester catches Vertigo with a sunset flip off the ropes. Wraith can’t react to it after Splatter clubs him down on the apron. Good job Genesis Prime had already been named #1 contenders to the GWF tag belts before this match took place.
Dreadnaught overcomes Kati. The match wasn’t just randomly thrown together. It did have some historic significance. With Kati being a Samoan from Earth and Dreadnaught from Cygnus. Dreadnaught’s hatred of humans especially Earthlings had mellowed as he began to age but the Transevolver has reawakened some of that. He is spouting plenty of anti-Earth propaganda to spice the match up. Has the ingredients to be decent but in truth the battle drags on. Only real wrestling enthusiasts enjoyed this one. Kati tried SAMOAN REVENGE but Dreadnaught battles back and blasts him with GUIDED MISSILE for the second time in the match to win.

Latest News:
The GWF is still losing revenue as we approach the end of year. In a knee jerk move the next big event, FRIGHT NIGHT, has been cancelled by the parent company, Galactic Champions Inc. Early buy rates and ticket sales suggest they won’t make a profit and many of the wrestlers are on guaranteed fees for appearing. It was either that or fill the show with lower tier guys. Commissioner Grogan doesn’t agree with the approach but was out voted. He wants it replaced with another themed event but cannot get the approval of the majority shareholders. So he now funds his own event called INVASION OF THE WRESTLING SUPERSTARS with more expensive tickets and PPV buy rates in a bid to get his cash back and increase revenue. Will the fans vote with their wallets? But that’s all secondary to the upcoming CPC CHALLENGE. A mega show that has been promoted heavily for the last couple of months. In a shocking move by Grogan he challenged the CPC champion to put his Heavyweight belt on the line against the GWF champion, Pegasus, at Pelf Palace in a one off match at the event. In a statement made one week before the recent STARSLAMMERS show Grogan said “I propose that the winner will become the holder of both titles. Whether Commisioner Guile is brave enough to accept the challenge is another question." The whole galaxy eagerly awaited Guile's response which he delayed until three days later. He agreed to the proposal and said the CPC would finally prove its superiority. Immediate criticism was directed at Grogan that he was playing right into the hands of the CPC by issuing such a challenge. It would only serve to further promote the planned event and help overshadow Grogan’s event later in the month. Even though US. Patriot was the sitting champ it was all assumed that the CPC would regain the belt at ALL STARS. There was concern that if one of their own wins the GWF Heavyweight belt they may try and demean it's prestige by vacating it straight afterwards or even resort to vandalising it. While if Pegasus was to win the CPC championship he will do all he can to try to be heroic and keep a hold of it. If only to try and deter the CPC from ever trying to overshadow the GWF again. But that may inadvertently give their belt more credibility. Seems this was a no win situation for the GWF. However the fact that US. Patriot gave the performance of his life to beat Janus has allayed those fears slightly. Will be fascinating to see how it plays out. For the moment the CPC is still happily promoting the main event and almost giving Adam iconic status as their champion. That’s not all from the event. The new CPC tag champions will be decided. The New Order will face Royal Court in the tournament final. That won’t please Colby and Pelf but they were let down by Transevolver again in the opening round. Unless they put together another permanent tag team it could be a while before they get those belts back. A hardcore team comprising two guys from the Outcasts would be a natural choice with Jester and Splatter already having been tested but it’s no secret that they all lack enthusiasm for tag wrestling. Another knee jerk reaction from the GWF is to follow the CPC lead and release an official GWF app. But it’s coding is outsourced and then it gets rushed out causing end users to suffer. Full of bugs and also comes with a hefty monthly subscription. Only matches past 2100 are included. It’s a mess and features as one of top 10 worst rated apps for the month. Bad news upon bad news as CPC threatens to take the GWF to court unless they take action on Mollock for assaulting Sonora Pelf. Terak jumps to his defence saying “Mollock means no harm. He hardly touched her. Is everyone forgetting that Jester was attacking him with a barbed rattle just beforehand?”. However his plea is ignored. The GWF wilts under the pressure and bans Mollock from all shows until the end of the year. Even then Mollock must demonstrate that it has been tamed before being allowed back. Despite being guaranteed two of the four CPC belts very soon these are still dark times for the GWF. The next month could be crucial.
Moment of the month had to be Blade winning the IP belt. There was so much emotion on the night. He has become really popular among the other hero wrestlers and many of them came out to offer their congratulations. He has dedicated his victory to his late brother, Crossfire. Can he hold onto the belt for long? The list of challengers is a long one. That big moment was closely followed by what occurred with the CPC Heavyweight belt. Before all the drama surrounding the CPC Challenge and Grogan’s statement there was the battle between Janus and US. Patriot over it which Adam incredibly won. Somehow despite the setback the CPC still comes up smelling of roses as they’ve now got a massive main event for their show between two much loved heroes. Something the GWF might dearly love to have. Those weren’t the only titles that tumbled as X-Termination follow up one incredible month with another and took the tag straps away from New Order. Who’d of thought it a few weeks prior.
Krakan announces the Hitmen contract on the CPC is almost at an end. It was a fixed term thing and he is now looking to strike new deals. Probable the move prompted by the fact it hadn’t been too profitable. Mayhem’s latest loss to Splatter came at a heavy cost. The upcoming match between the Outcasts and the Hitmen at Pelf Palace will be the last one. How will the Colonizers take the news? It is a bit suspicious that it just suddenly gets dropped. It’s early days but perhaps something else is coming soon. Gladiator crisis deepens. They were almost totally out of the picture last month. Not sure if they chose to stay inactive or they just didn’t get booked. Only Malice featured and that ended in yet another loss. The fear factor has gone. Vengeance needs to think fast or else his leadership of the Gladiators could be a very short one.
INJURED – Vertigo (minor injury all year), Commander Sam (1), Talisman (3); SUSPENDED – Mollock (to end of year)
WRESTLER OF THE MONTH:
BLADE – so many candidates. US. Patriot might feel hard done by not to win for the second time in three months given his incredible run. However the emotional scenes that met with Blade capturing the IP belt and then dedicating it to his brother are hard to beat. This youngster has a great career ahead of him for sure. TAG TEAM OF THE MONTH:
X-TERMINATION – unbelievable period of success from these two ‘slackers’. OTB glory last month now followed up by their winning of the tag team belts. It’s been said before but will say it again, can only imagine how good they could be if they cut out the boozing and late night partying.

Card 901 – CPC CHALLENGE – Pelf Palace:
(Last minute the normally miserly CPC makes the event ‘free to air’ and totally steals the thunder of the GWF. The lavishness is off the charts. CPC books 10 matches but none are women's (although they do allow 1 mixed match) as they don’t rate the bracket highly. Big events are normally a minimum of 12 but Commissioner Guile brags “we aim for quality over quantity”. In a sidenote it must be said that this is not what I was aiming for in my fed. The big plan was to have Janus and Pegasus meet for both belts but the dice didn’t comply. So had to try and spice up the main event as best I could. Trying to plant seeds of doubt about what side US. Patriot is really on. The CPC also making bold statements that whoever ends the night holding their belt will be a much loved champion with a greater responsibility to represent the CPC over the GWF. They will be very much a part of taking their organisation to the next level) US. Patriot stuns Pegasus to win both the GWF and CPC Heavyweight belts. This is it champion against champion. The long awaited meeting between Pegasus and Janus had been teased for a long time but US. Patriot put a real spoke in the CPC plans. Now they are having to put everything behind Adam and push him as one of their own. There is still a very real threat to the GWF belt being inside the Palace. The Champions team are at the Palace disguised as wealthy fans. The plan is to seize the GWF belt should it come under any threat of desecration but someone rats them out. As they are shown into a private area for pre show drinks and food they find Splatter waiting for them. He gets several blows in with Arsenal before scarpering. The damage could have been worse but Alpha Force, Colussus and Star Warrior were all still needing some medical assistance. Both Pegasus and Adam are none the wiser and try to be civil to each other. There is a lot at stake but they are both heroes and want to uphold a good image for the GWF. There was a little tension in the build up as Pegasus was accused of saying Adam had sold out to the CPC by agreeing to take on the belt but he claimed he was misquoted. By the time of opening bell things seem suitably diffused and a great bout expected. But of course things are never simple. Suddenly Thantos comes to ringside and claims that he will be managing Adam because Commander Sam is injured. Pegasus rages at Adam “so you did sell out!”. Adam retorts “I would never sell out. How dare you accuse me”. But Pegasus won’t hear of it “I don’t believe you” and launches into Adam. Thantos folds his arms and smiles as the two ‘heroes’ now tear lumps out of each other. It becomes a bit of an anti-climax as the match is over in less than 5 minutes. After trading a few moves Adam pulls off a counter and hits his Running Rocket Shot. It is proving a brilliant setup move to finish matches. Pegasus is shocked and has to kick out of the pin. He gets himself up but Adam is on him in a flash with ADAM’S ATOMIC BLAST. There are gasps as Adam covers again and just about holds on for the three count. A monumental moment in wrestling history as US. Patriot becomes the first guy to hold both the GWF and CPC belts. Thantos wants to take credit for being a managerial genius and closes in on a camera. Points to himself as if to say ‘I did that’. He then takes both belts off the ref and tries to hand them over to Adam but gets pushed away. The mood of Thantos changes and he looks like he might call an attack but Pegasus now gets himself up and stands shoulder to shoulder with Adam. They are joined by Star Warrior. Outnumbered and not wanting to create a scene at the biggest event the CPC has ever held Thantos backs off but says to Adam “don’t get too comfortable wearing that thing”. With the immediate danger over Adam now goes to hug Pegasus but gets ignored. Pegasus is a little agitated and in no mood for too much friendliness in the aftermath. After all his legendary title run is over at 57 cards. Later on Spacebook he breaks silence and sounds a sore loser “if Adam thinks we are buddies then he is mistaken. I don’t fully trust him. I bet he was the one who ratted on my team. I only did what I did for the sake of the GWF belt and I plan to win it back and hold both belts as soon as possible. That should of been me up there holding them aloft as the greatest in wrestling history. I am the strongest, most athletic, most charismatic and even best looking. By holding both belts nobody could of argued with that”. CPC Tag Tournament Final
New Order downs the Royal Court to win the CPC tag belts again. Not the final the CPC wanted. In a last ditch effort to keep a hero GWF team from winning Commissioner Guile announces “the match will not be fought with Titan Death rules but in order to capture the belts a team must still win by pin fall or submission. If there is a DQ then the belts will be returned to the original champions, Transevolver. So better be on your best behaviour”. Royal Court reacts better to that news than New Order for they may make the early running. Queenie shocks Mace with WARP SPEED for a close call. Dreggs doesn’t want to give the official any chance to disqualify so resists a pin save attempt. Luckily Mace kicks out strong. Although the Royal Court keeps up the pressure with Jack entering the action and dishing some impressive moves the New Order gradually powers back. Mace gets revenge against Queenie with an explosion of offense and they unleash DECIMATION. Amazing to see Queenie come through the move though. But he’s not so lucky against Dreggs and is soon forced to submit to TWIST AND SHOUT. Trying to force the DQ Transevolver intended to rumble the match but were way too late to the party. By the time Doomsayer gave them a green light to run up the red carpeted runway the New Order were already being handed the belts. How long until the CPC tries to stiff them out of the titles this time around? Whilst Mace and Dreggs are happy this in no way makes up for the disappointment of losing the GWF belts. They aim to win these back as a matter of priority even if it means upsetting the CPC. Dreggs says they want to emulate Pegasus or US. Patriot‘s assured achievement of holding both the belts. CPC Interstellar champ, Terminus, loses to Archon by DQ again. A nervy match for Terminus. Archon had him rocking last time they fought and Terminus barely escaped with the belt. But this time he fares much better. Learning from that and not letting Archon get close and work the submission style. But despite the domination it’s still the same outcome. Terminus deciding to start a brawl outside. The CPC officials are showing slightly less tolerance of violence even from their own guys. When Archon gets thrown over the crowd barrier and lands in the lap of a wealthy friend of Magnus Colby the bell had to be called. Surely Archon deserves another rematch after this and it has to be a special match. In the GWF that would certainly be the case but you just never know with the CPC. Prodigy strolls to victory over Wildcat in a non-title match. Prodigy still able to duck Enigma and then gets a slice of fortune as Commissioner Guile controversially declares last minute that this will NOT be a title match. Apparently Wildcat is found to be over the fluctuating weight limit. Wildcat is stumped. He is well within the limit. The scales must have been tampered but of course nobody can check as they are kept under lock and key. Terak, who was ringside due to the Mollock ban, argues unsuccessfully with the CPC officials. As usual Wildcat demonstrates great staying power as he goes onto accumulate 6 tokens. But he offered up nothing. It was ridiculously one-sided. Prodigy just keeps at it by using THE PERFECT SINGLES FINISHER numerous times and then finally sealing it after a spectacular springboard dropkick.
The Outcasts down the Hitmen in a Titan Death Battlezone match. The final chapter of the contract put out on the CPC. Krakan looking to get one last big pay off but end up disappointed again. Match highlights as follows … Mayhem completely destroyed Splatter. Finished him in a couple of minutes with LEAP OF DOOM (+6). Splatter never knew what hit him … Mad Jester sees off Mayhem. Wild, wild match. Jester recites A DEAD MAN’S VERSE to Mayhem twice. Of course Mayhem bites back but missed LEAP OF DOOM twice. Later reverts to DANGER ZONE but Jester survived. The match rumbles on chaotically til Jester pins after a Mad Dash Clothesline. But plenty of damage done as he takes 4 tokens forwards … Soldier of Fortune pinned Mad Jester after fatigue took its toll. Flattened Jester with a Hitman’s Clothesline and then goes for THE REVENGER … Bishop Hell takes it to a decider as he beats Soldier of Fortune. During the course Bishop Hell roasted him twice with HELLFIRE. Comically most of Soldier of Fortune’s eyebrows were burned off by the end although on a personal level it was a good effort by the ageing star. Trouble is overall it’s been a nightmarish feud for the Hitmen … Bishop Hell wins outright after pinning Vigilante in less than a minute. It’s HELLFIRE again. The Bishop redeems himself in front of Colby and Pelf with this MVP performance. Dreadnaught turns back the clock to destroy Alpha Force. “I don’t break my promises” spouts Commissioner Guile as he decrees Alpha Force will get a shot at the Interstellar belt if he can beat Dreadnaught clean in the build up to this match. He seems pretty confident that it won’t become issue. Insane when you think of how Dreadnaught has stumbled since his second dose in the Transevolver. But maybe it’s that he cannot get to grips with tag wrestling and needs to be on his own. Because in this match he probably even surpasses his prime days. Totally owns Alpha Force who clings on as long as possible. Even Star Warrior goes out of character and tries some distraction techniques to help his brother. It only delays the inevitable as Dreadnaught uses GUIDED MISSILE to put Alpha Force down for good. There is certainly something to be said for pushing Dreadnaught back towards singles as that’s 3 in a row won if you ignore the tag teaming troubles. What money on a surprise push for the CPC Heavyweight belt if longtime rival US. Patriot still holds it at the end of the night. It will thrust the Earth-Cygnus feud onto the big stage again.
Matador of M83 outclassed Mandrill. With the star of Janus having finally fallen the Matador is ready to shine again. Needs a big win to show his employers he is their main man once more. Of course with the expected arrival of Paragon in 2106 it could still end up being a very limited run at the top should he get there. But a victory over Mandrill would show that he’s still got it and prevent the Colonizers from getting any foothold in the CPC. And he does just that. Back to his brilliant best and controlling virtually the entire bout. He snaffles out any momentum Mandrill tries to build and pins him after just a few minutes via a one-leg karate kick. Sentry did nothing to help. He seemed too nervous to step out of line within the Palace. He’s seen plenty pay the price before here. Kati goes over Monad. Kati comes and goes as he pleases. Throughout the year it’s been impossible to tell if he is more loyal to GWF or CPC. But does either organisation want him? Last time out he was well beaten by Dreadnaught which didn’t help his marketability. However it’s easy to forget how solid his past results have been. Remember this guy has once beaten the legendary Matador so surely he’d be an asset to any team if given the chance. As if to ram the point home Kati does much better this time around. Withstands some early offence from Monad and then levelled him with SAMOAN REVENGE twice. First time out Doomsayer made a nuisance of himself and foiled it. In fact Kati was very nearly counted-out in the ensuing chase. But he returns to the ring just in time to do it again and this time gets the pin. Maxine Babe and Dynamo beat Ursa Major and Supernova in mixed tag action. Unusual to see Supernova partnering Ursa Major. Sparks rumours of romance and although she blushes when it is suggested she playfully responds “there’s nothing in it. I like his high flying style and of course our team is good friends with the Titans. It seemed like fun to link up”. The match itself was nothing special and ended in disappointment for Supernova. She was showing her superiority over Maxine Babe but then lost her footing trying a top rope move. Maxine couldn’t believe her luck and with Dynamo’s help uses DUDE’S CHOICE to win for her team. Funny moment at the end as a jubilant Maxine Babe looks up at the gallery and blows Magnus Colby a kiss. When Sonora Pelf catches him smiling back at her she reaches across and pinches a nipple. Colby yelps and quickly averts his gaze. Karah defeats Mutant by count-out. CPC officials insist Mutant is fitted with a dog tag in case it goes AWOL. Also can administer sharp shocks to bring it under control. During the match the device starts pinging like crazy after Mutant batters Karah and administers TEMPLE GRINDER. But rather than finish the youngster off Mutant exits the ring to try and attack Terak leading to the count-out. The shocks have the opposite effect and send it even loopier. Maybe if Mollock hadn’t of been banned he could of dealt with this. Instead CPC security struggle to restore order and several of them suffer nasty scratches and bites in the process.

Card 902 - Luna Auditorium:
Alpha Force over Mandrill by DQ. Totally forgettable match. Doesn’t go much more than a minute. Mandrill zapped Alpha Force with his Voltaic Stunner right in the carotid artery. In some distress Alpha Force bails outside but falls right at the feet of Sentry who blasts him at point blank range with his stun gun. Instant DQ. Alpha Force left in a sorry looking state. Clearly there was no intent to win this one from Mandrill. Just wanting to humiliate. Poor Alpha Force took a good while to recover. Could clearly of done with his brother here. However for reasons unknown he was alone. Post match Star Warrior criticises Mandrill but refuses to allow his team to get sucked into a full on feud with the Colonizers.
Matador of M83 does the business over Wildcat. Outside of Pelf Palace Matador is still able to prove his greatness. There were a few dramatic spots. Most notable Matador trying to revive the ref after his finisher only to nearly get embarrassed by a roll up from behind. That gave Wildcat a brief momentum. He couldn’t hold it though and Matador soon regained control. He built steady offence and used BULLWHIP to finish things.
Ninja Assassins bossed Titan Attack. Uncharacteristically lethargic from the Titans. They are well beaten. Scion Nexus got a real going over. He did quite well to ensure DOUBLE EDGE SWORD twice. That left him weak though and Daeman’s IRON HAND then ended the contest.
Dreadnaught beats Pulsar by DQ. Just a brawl fest. The referee could have called a DQ much sooner. Gave them both so many second chances. Eventually he had to act. Pulsar triggered yet another fight in the runway. Then when the ref gave a final ultimatum a slip of the tongue saw Pulsar yell ‘f*** off’ and that was the last straw.
Maxine Babe upsets Ms. Liberty. Maxine looked surprisingly good. Although she still cannot finish a match without some illegal help as DUDE’S CHOICE came into play.
Raven sent Pollux packing. Pollux actually started on offence and got to L3O. Of course it didn’t last and about 30 seconds after that happened he was laying beaten after BROADSWORD.
Card 903 – Luna Auditorium:
Ladies champ, Thrash, ends the challenge of Supernova. Another stab at the belt for Supernova. Although she lost the last match the championship committee reviewed the match and felt it was a harsh DQ and warranted a rematch. But having just been surprisingly pinned by Maxine Babe in a mixed tag match Supernova may now be suffering a crisis of confidence. Indeed Thrash feels she is there for the taking and warns Supernova will be made to regret coming after her again “she can bounce around that ring all she likes but it won’t do her any good. I will crush her like a grape for daring to try and take away my title again”. Interestingly Supernova asks her brother, Star Warrior, not to be at ringside as she feels Thrash will try something to invoke his frustration. Star Warrior is about as noble as they come but even he has a breaking point and won’t allow his team to be bullied. He has shown a few times he is willing to get involved. But Supernova doesn’t want to come a cropper and up being DQ’d again. Reluctantly he agreed. It is a very even in the match. Thrash asserts herself with power but Supernova has some neat tricks to keep things close and competitive. But just when it looks like Supernova is getting the upper hand it changes in an instant. She’d shown good strength of her own to use a Cetus Slam but Thrash doesn’t lay there feeling sorry. Forces herself to ignore the pain and roll out of the ring. Drags Supernova out with her and press slams her onto a table breaking it in half. The official must be a Gladiator fan as he lets it go. Thrash then grabs Supernova by the hair and directs her back into the ring. Slamming the head into the apron for good measure. Then it’s FEMME FATAL and that’s goodnight for Supernova. Not been a good couple of weeks for her.
Am thinking of changing to the women’s belt only having to be defended every other month. There’s just not enough depth to the female roster and the matches are getting a bit samey. Also getting a multitude of different champions. Will give this some thought. At the moment I cannot remember if any newcomers are due in the next sets. Maybe that’ll solve the problem. Malice crushed US. Patriot in a non-title match. Adam should be revelling in his status as Heavyweight champ in both the GWF and CPC. But he looks almost relieved to be facing Malice with neither belt up for grabs. It’s a world away from the stress of contesting titles and dealing with accusations that he sold out. He doesn’t even wear either belt to the ring. With the young Gladiator, Malice, misfiring so badly it was a big chance to keep up his impressive winning run. But Malice starts with a furious intensity and it’s not shaping up well. Adam seems to be suffering a hangover from his recent successes. Commander Sam, now patched up, tries to get Adam going from his ringside position but Malice just comes out and threatens to shut him up. Sam backs away but ends up cornered. Adam rushes to his aid and dropkicks Malice from behind. Great move but it doesn’t help Sam as it sends Malice into him hard. Poor Sam looked injured yet again. His ageing body not able to withstand what it once could. As Adam tends to him an angered Malice picks him up from behind and executes an astonishing belly-to-back suplex right onto the floor. That might break most people but Adam is made of special stuff these days. He bravely picks himself up and gets himself back in the ring to take more punishment. Only to be met with The Wasteland and having to kickout. Sadly the earlier injury sustained in the suplex onto the floor cannot be shaken off. Adam gives the best he can but when Malice signals for and successfully connects with FIELDS OF MALICE only a miracle will save him from defeat. One is not forthcoming and it’s over. Malice is finally back!
X-Termination beats Titan Attack by DQ in a non-title match. Lord Nexus is absent after getting wiped out minutes before the two teams were due to be announced. He never saw his assailant. Unlikely to be anything to do with Grunge or Sleeze as this was only a non-title match. Darkos gets put on the spot about it as investigations for possible disciplinary action take place in the aftermath. But maybe the Hitmen were starting a new contract. Krakan never needs much persuading to go after any of the Titans and it is no secret that the Hitmen are currently at a loose end. But in truth it could of been anyone of a number of people. It all meant the inexperienced Titan Attack had to make do with no manager but they coped pretty well. Not surprisingly X-Termination starts to make greater strides and start moving towards victory. They perform HEADBANGER’S BALL on Scion who is only able to avoid losing thanks to a desperate save from his partner. Unfortunately Ursa Major’s card is marked after that. Johnny Rocket seems very influential in the ref’s ear after this. So much so that when Ursa Major later found himself dragged into a brawl by Grunge the ref disqualified the young Titan for unnecessary aggression. Crowd is horrified by the verdict and lets the ref know all about their displeasure. Shame but can’t help but thinking Titan Attack played into the hands of X-Termination. Maybe if Lord Nexus had of been there that wouldn’t of happened. Been a mixed night for the Titan team.
Lower World beats the Royal Court by DQ. Jack and Queenie may of just come up short in their quest to win the CPC tag belts but their co-managers Commander Sam and Exo-King still have high hopes for them. It should of been the Centaurians out there but with Talisman still struggling with injury and Blade having a singles run and holding the IP belt it gave Royal Court a chance to step in. The evil Lower World are no mugs and winning here will push them high in the GWF rankings to match their lofty position in the CPC. At first the barbaric methods of the Lower World plus Maleph flying around the ring make things difficult. Jack and Queenie need time to settle down. Once they do though they are on fire. Jack lays waste to Death’s Head and BLACK DIAMOND leads to Maleph flying into the ring and trying to gouge Jack. The ref has none of it and bravely stands up to the evil creature by expelling it from the match. Maleph doesn’t go quietly but Commander Sam manages to grab a hold of its leg and like a hammer throw swirls round several times. Maleph dizzily crashes into some tables and that’s the last it is heard of. Trouble is Death’s Head has recovery time and assaults Jack several times with FUNERAL MARCH. Could go either way from this point but surprisingly Queenie costs his team a DQ. After being brutally thrown from the ring several times in a row he tries to fire glitter directly in the face of Death’s Head. The bell goes and it all kicks off from there as the teams brawl to the back. Maleph barely able to fly more than a few centimetres off the ground follows pathetically behind. Nefarus squashed Meteor. Lots of intimidation for poor Meteor right at the start as Nefarus is accompanied by not only Sentry but also his tag partner. Why the referee didn't ask Vendetta to leave the ring area we'll never know. It was such an unequal match with 3 onto 1 that Meteor, who was already a massive underdog, stood no chance. Just another show of Colonizer bullying. The match was over pretty quick as Meteor folded in 3 moves to SCISSORDRIVER. Not over though as Nefarus immediately orders Sentry into the ring. It’s not the most ergonomic of suits but Nefarus has never had the wellbeing of others high on his list of priorities. He works Sentry to the bone. Getting Sentry to beat up on the ref and then target Meteor. All the while Vendetta stands outside the ring like a bouncer preventing anyone entering to help. Sentry ends his assault by firing several shots of his stun gun into Meteor at point blank range. Vendetta now enters and drops an elbow right across the neck of Meteor who wasn’t moving by this point. The bullying attack continues for about another minute more but it seems like an age. There was very little intervention by the other officials who seemed gripped by it all. Eventually some heavies waded in but the Colonizers hadn’t needed long to do some serious damage. It is a grim scene to see Meteor being stretchered away. Will we see him again? Clearly this was done by the Colonizers to remind everyone of their status as the top villain team. Dragonmaster deals Manslaughter a damaging defeat. Deep down Dragonmaster knows Titan Fury has a limited shelf life now he is a veteran of nearly 20 years. That’s why he is trying to make the most of his remaining time by indulging his love of singles action from time to time. It’s a tough match to face Manslaughter but Dragonmaster belies his advancing years. Still moving fast from start to finish. He has Lord Nexus with him who is encouraging and looking relaxed whilst also keeping a close check on Darkos. Poor Lord Nexus has no idea of the fate that awaits him later in the show. Despite the promising start he did get caught in SNAP, CRACK, POP that brought him uncomfortably close to a defeat. But Dragonmaster taps into his vast reservoir of experience and sticks with it. As the minutes tick by you can sense the frustration getting to Manslaughter. He is starting to make a lot of mistakes. Dragonmaster preys on this and a devastating combo that sees him nail Titan Drop followed by COBRA NERVE STOPPER twice in a row takes the young Assassin down.

Card 904 – INVASION OF THE WRESTLING SUPERSTARS – Dione Saturndome:
The PPV is a disaster. A pale imitation of the usual FRIGHT NIGHT event. Plus way too many one-sided outcomes. It is a classic example of an idea not being thought through. Loses a lot of money. Commissioner Grogan is in a difficult spot with several wrestlers demanding to go on strike or jump ship to the CPC if they do not get paid in full. Wonder who these guys were? Grogan spends a few days in the aftermath unable to face up to things. Calling in sick to GWF HQ and battening down the hatches of his current home on Callisto. Pegasus and Colussus bested Chaos and Heracles. The main event brought the traditional enemies of the Champions against whatever team Chaos is on back into focus. The circus of the CPC and the Colonizers forced to take a backseat for once. Pegasus still looking pretty narked. His loss of the Heavyweight belt has been tough to take. Needs to get his focus back on this important match or else Chaos and Heracles will have his team for breakfast. Unbelievably Star Warrior has to slap him round the face to get him out of a daze. For a moment it looks like Pegasus might explode at his manager but he manages to catch himself. Looking like he was counting to 5 to steady himself. After which he gives Star Warrior a nod and is heard to say “thanks I’m okay now”. Star Warrior smiles as he senses the old fire is back and calls out “now go get em”. Heracles wasn’t ready for them as he had turned his back to order Anaxis to fetch some more grapes. Pegasus and Colussus piled into him from behind which sent him crashing into Chaos. The big man tumbled off the apron and ends in an embarrassed heap in front of the heckling fans. He looks to mouth ‘cretin’ as he picks himself up and looks over at Heracles who has started the match for his team and is struggling to stem the tide. Colussus is very eager to punish his old partner but perhaps should of been a bit calmer and used his partner more because Heracles eventually gets a good counter in. And just like that the tide turns as Heracles starts to batter Colussus. But Chaos doesn’t like Heracles hogging the spotlight and wants in. He demands the tag but this actually gave Colussus the opportunity to scramble over and make the hot tag itself. With his recent record against Pegasus being so good Chaos could be forgiven for being confident. However they’ve barely locked up when the glow showering the ring from the Alpha Stone fades. Chaos angrily looks over at the gloomy stone and the hesitation gives Pegasus impetus. Chaos never recovers from this and soon falls to a Pegasus Press Slam. The heroes celebrate outside the ring with fans and leave the two beaten villains to it. Heracles tries to help his partner up and orders Anaxis to start fanning them both. Chaos is still angry and shoves them both away. Anaxis tumbles pathetically to the ground and starts snivelling. It seems Chaos wasn’t impressed with Heracles half hearted effort at a pin save. This added with the ongoing distrust of Heracles over a possible move into the CPC makes for a frosty atmosphere. The show ends on a cliffhanger as Chaos and Heracles look like they are ready to square up to each other when the feed cuts out and the credits roll. Seems the airtime Commissioner Grogan paid for has run out. Viewers have to rely on word of mouth over what happened next as there is no video footage. A clever technology had been implemented by the Commissioner to scramble recording devices which had now come back to haunt him. Stories of what went on are wild and varied. One guy called Andros posted on Spacebook “it was wild. Chaos and Heracles must of slugged it out for at least ten minutes afterwards. They were bloody as hell and Heracles even used Anaxis as a human shield. I heard she is now in a coma”. To which another, going by the name of Gordy, says “what planet are you on man? It was a stare down that’s all. Then they just walked off not talking. They are not stupid enough to let a rift develop when there are bigger fish to fry”.
Tag champs, X-Termination, fend off the challenge of Genesis Prime. A title match nobody saw coming. New Order were a bit taken aback they didn’t get the chance to win the belts back right away. Not too many other teams have stepped up. Genesis Prime are the beneficiaries of that snub although they are in questionable form themselves. Rebel Empire will be watching with great interest. In a way Genesis Prime capturing the belts might help the Colonizers as it could pave the way for a title match between Genesis Prime-Rebel Empire. But Johnny Rocket’s boys are not going to roll over easily. Their form has been nothing short of stunning. The fact Johnny is their manager and they aren’t shy about swinging those guitars about might make it tough to get the belts off them. In fact Grunge fancies getting a guitar shot in straight away and makes a beeline for Wraith as he adjusts his boots in the corner. But before he gets there Wraith disappears from view. Grunge is convinced he is still there but just takes an air shot with it. Now slightly panicked by Wraith’s invisibility game he takes another swing. He was convinced he saw something over in the other corner. This time the guitar smashes into the ring post and breaks in half. Grunge looks down at his broken instrument with a tinge of sadness but doesn’t get long to dwell on it as Wraith comes into view right behind and levels him. Johnny cries foul but the ref won’t hear of it and the match was now deemed underway. Sleeze and Vertigo who were brawling whilst this was going on are ordered to take their place on the ring apron. Trouble is after such an exciting opening the match itself doesn’t really live up to expectations. X-Termination may of started on the back foot but their chicanery quickly gets them back competing. The match yo-yos back and forth for a while until Vertigo goes for a deathjump on Grunge. Unfortunately he ended up missing when Grunge moves out of the way. Clearly playing possum. No pin save incoming from Wraith as Johnny Rocket cleverly started trash talking with him as this happened. So he was pretty distracted to the peril his partner was in. By the time he reacts Vertigo has already been pinned. X-Termination grab their belts and walk the runway. Stopping every now and then to trade insults with disappointed crowd members. There is one last surprise for them though as Wraith had gotten past them and was waiting unseen at the end of the runway. They walk straight into an invisible wall (double arm clothesline) and are left to pick themselves up looking slightly worse for wear. Johnny Rocket calls out Wraith’s treachery in the aftermath and proclaims ‘so called heroes’ Genesis Prime to be sore losers. IP champ, Blade, squashes Brainstorm. As the new IP champ Blade knows he is now there to be shot at. It’s a hard role to play and many have dropped belts straight away unable to handle the pressure. He has had to do a lot of growing up fast what with what happened to his brother and now this. With all that in mind the identity of his first challenger is a surprise. But don’t laugh as Brainstorm has actually picked up some decent results recently and there’s no doubt that he oozes quite a bit of charisma. He strides into the ring full of confidence with Darla hanging off his arm. Amid a chorus of boos he snatches the floating mic away from the ring announcer “not only am I the smartest and most handsome man in the cosmos. I am now about to become one of its greatest wrestlers. If Blade is smart he’ll hand the belt straight over. But I doubt he will. He is a nitwit just like his late brother was”. The crowd reacts with hostility to such a statement but Brainstorm just laughs and points to his head. The smile is instantly wiped off his face though as a switchblade is launched out of nowhere which takes the mortar board clean off his head and pins it to the top of one of the turnbuckles. Before Brainstorm can even work out where Blade is he gets taken down from the side with an incredible flying kick. Darla drops her poms poms and runs from the ring screaming. Brainstorm desperately tries to dive at Blade with a tackle in retaliation but misses and careers into the turnbuckle. He is allowed to pick himself up but no sooner as is his footing is steady Blade wipes him out again. This time with a Flying Missile Shot. Blade immediately goes for the cover. The crowd loves it and counts along with the ref. All over in just two moves. Brainstorm humiliated, Blade euphoric. Thunder and Overkill destroyed Titan Attack. The Gladiators are back! Never before have Aethrans been so quiet as the last few weeks. The results had been awful and speculation is they had been called back by Thakur to undergo severe punishment for embarrassing Aethra. The truth of their whereabouts will never be known but it is immediately evident there is a reaction. Last week Malice took on US. Patriot in a non-title match and blew him away and tonight is the turn of Thunder and Overkill. They look back to their best with Thunder full of intense energy. Whilst Overkill shows very little emotion but his mere presence evoking fear and intimidation. The poor victims were Titan Attack. Lord Nexus maybe laid up at home but he was still keen to give his young team experience. They’ve already exceeded expectations by capturing the tag belts last year albeit briefly. What better way to build on their progress by upsetting the Gladiators again. Unfortunately lightening rarely strikes twice and they catch the Gladiators on a point proving night. Ursa Major started positively enough and tried to embarrass Thunder twice with SHOTGUN CRADLE in the opening minute. Nowhere near close to pinning him though and only served to enrage Thunder. Scion Nexus got tagged in and was immediately thrown with furious force into the turnbuckle as part of a reversal. He just seemed to stay slumped against which made it all the easier for Overkill to stroll into the action and squash him with TURNBUCKLE TRAP for the win. A walk in the park for the Gladiators and barely a sweat broken in a mere two minutes of action. Talisman heroically defeats Splatter Voorhees. Another one keeping the scares alive is Splatter. He is donning a hockey mask and carrying a chainsaw in an ode to a classic horror film franchise. The commentary team nickname him Splatter Voorhees. Not everyone gets the reference. GWF, or more specifically Grogan, allows him to compete under this new gimmick despite technically being banished. Talisman couldn’t of picked a more daunting opponent in which to make a return to singles action against but after being brutally attacked at the Palace in the lottery it was a meeting that was always going to happen. Not sure quite how Talisman came through to win as he was hit with vicious moves like Crystal Lake Plunge and battered with Hockey Mask Headbutts. Splatter even struck with his finishers SHOWER SHREDDER and MEET MOTHER. Just his usual moves also given nicknames. Talisman just about clung on and like many of the films came back to defeat the rampaging threat via AMULET DROP. But the spirit of Voorhees is never truly vanquished. Just like that Splatter rises and uses his club to smash Talisman down from behind as he celebrates. The ref is tossed from the ring and there is a nerve jangling moment as Splatter now picks up the chainsaw and approaches the downed Talisman. Kids are crying. Time to cover the eyes. He brings it down on Talisman’s head and it just bounces playfully off. It was foam all along. Even Splatter is not that sick. Talisman looks like the blood has drained from his face. That was a horrendous moment. Let’s hope the pool of water he was now sitting in was sweat. Although if it was the other then I guess he can be forgiven seeing as just seconds before he thought he was about to be brutally murdered. Sequel anyone? Jack of Diamonds punishes Pumpkin’s Head. Death’s Head calls Halloween his favourite time of year and was raging when FRIGHT NIGHT got replaced. Aiming to keep the spirit of Halloween alive he sticks a pumpkin on his head and insists on being introduced as Pumpkin’s Head. He is a frightening sight walking through the curtain with evil eyes and grin coming through the slits. Kids in the crowd scream as he approaches offering up a trick or treat bag. One poor worker trying to stop the scaremongering gets taken out with a ‘Graveyard Smash’. Pumpkin’s Head then vows to visit every kid in their bedrooms at the witching hour. Thankfully Jack races down the runway to end this terrorising. He has an axe to grind with Death’s Head, erm sorry Pumpkin’s Head, after the last show and these frightening acts just throw more fuel on the fire. Initially he finds the sadistic style tough to handle and there are fears the PUMPKIN BUTT will be coming soon but when Jack gets ‘grabbed by the ghoulies’ it awakens an inner rage he probably never knew he had. The kids are cheering now as the evil Pumpkin’s Head gets a real going over. Jack tries a couple of times to finish things with DIAMOND CUT but when it doesn’t work he upgrades it to BLACK DIAMOND. He now gets the successful pin and to add to the theatrics removes the pumpkin from Death’s Head. Egged on by the crowd he places it in the middle of the ring and stops on it until it is reduced to mulch. That’ll teach Death’s Head for trying to intimidate the kids like that. Mandrill handles Vyper. The power play of the Colonizers has been undermined with some questionable results. Most notably from their leader (?) Mandrill. He won’t admit but he needs this win to try and burst out of that middle bracket and get amongst the higher ranked guys again. Vyper tries to play the psychology card and chooses tonight to introduce his new pet snake, Zelda, to everybody. A devenomized Black Mamba that he uses to try and intimidate Mandrill. Many wrestlers fear of snakes has been uncovered over the years by Vyper but it is immediately apparent Mandrill has no such weakness. He laughs at Zelda and describes her as a ‘mere worm’. Vyper looks annoyed as Mandrill goes onto say “now stop playing with your little toy and wrestle … and don’t forget to bow before the leader of the GWF”. Zelda gets stuffed back into her bag and Vyper drops the psychology to engage Mandrill. He looks to have his work cut out especially with Sentry primed and ready to gun both him and Terak down should the pattern of the match not go Mandrill’s way. But not for the first time Sentry fails Mandrill with a missed stun blast and then getting thrown out if the ring when trying to interfere. Mandrill came within a whisker of losing because of it. However he shows decent powers of recovery and having weakened Vyper earlier in the match with Voltaic Stunner (very much a wear down move these days) manages to win via MUTANT MAULER. Let’s hope Zelda brings Vyper better luck next time.
Draconian Sheik controversially defeated Max Shield. Travesty. Max handling the wildness of Drac perfectly. About ready to finish things off with MAXIMUM IMPACT when the Terrorists pounce. One jumps on the apron and distracts the ref. The other runs in the ring and throws a powdered chemical directly in Max’s eyes. All downhill after this. Max never able to shake the effects and succumbs to DRACONIAN BACKBREAKER. A possible attack in the aftermath is foiled by Genesis Prime who manage to clear the ring after seeing their buddy in trouble. Max later plays down the ruckus and says going after Drac and the Terrorists will have to be someone else’s responsibility. The conflict with the Colonizers just too important to allow distractions.
Rising Sun makes short work of Gila. Another filler match. This is supposed to be a supercard yet we’ve had two squash matches go kick things off. Rising Sun knew exactly how to handle Gila and hits SUNSET SPECTACULAR after just a handful of moves.
Dreggs beat Mutant by DQ. Uninspiring opener. Dreggs tried to win fast with TWIST AND SHOUT twice in the opening minutes. It fails to do the job. Mutant comes back with TEMPLE GRINDER but after that it’s constantly out of the ring and leads to the outcome.

Latest News:
INVASION OF THE WRESTLING SUPERSTARS was a disaster. Grogan was always taking chances by dreaming this up. Despite some interesting matches it didn’t have the wow factor and ended up badly funded and disorganised. Plus the name of the event sounded more like some low budget zombie movie. The hiked prices meant the venue was less than half full and PPV buy rates were the lowest in GWF history. Viewers who did pay the prices turned off in their droves. Especially after the sick skit involving Splatter was allowed to happen. Grogan now cannot pay the wages of his performers in full. In a shocking move the CPC bails him out and ensures everyone gets what they were due. Maybe they aren’t so bad after all. Serious downside to this is Grogan is now in their pocket. Colby made sure to put in the payment reference for the fund transfer “YOU OWE ME ONE”. Touchy Grogan says “nobody puts a gun to my head”. All very well making bold statements like that but could very well be out of his hands and it doesn’t paint a very cheery picture. The situation surrounding the the CPC and Heavyweight belts has dominated the wrestling media after US. Patriot amazingly won them both at CPC CHALLENGE. It is an incredible achievement from a guy who is often viewed as an IP belt level wrestler. However he has risen above that, not for the first time in his career, to become the first to hold multiple Heavyweight titles. I’d have to check my records carefully but Adam has probably held most of the major belts in the GWF now. At the moment neither organisation recognises this as a unification and the belts must still be defended separately. This was seen as a one off. Although worryingly some wrestling sites are actually publishing combined rankings for the belts which needs to be nipped in the bud by the GWF. Or else the public might to start viewing it as one title. That’s when the trouble could start as promoters like to give the fans what they want to sell their shows and might start to insist the both belts are defended everytime. Also things have been understandably tense between the two protagonists of the match, Pegasus and US. Patriot. Star Warrior and Commander Sam have made moves to diffuse things for the sake of the fed. They want them to team up on the next CPC card held at Pelf Palace and put on a united front. Will they agree to the proposal? Appauled by scenes of the post match bullying and then beating that Nefarus and Vendetta gave to Meteor on #903 it seems that Star Warrior is declaring war on the Colonizers. Their growing influence and power throughout the past couple of years has become increasingly unsettling and has alerted Star Warrior into diffusing their burning ambitions. It is not a pleasant situation for the Colonizers what with Chaos, the Champions of the Galaxy and Genesis all coming at them. If ever there is a true test of whether they fitted the bill as the potential villain leaders then this is it. Meanwhile Max Shield has commented "I'm quite happy to stand aside and watch my friends at the Champions of the Galaxy take all the sting out of the Colonizers. We will wait and move in for the final kill!" But then the sickening genius and influence of Nefarus rears its ugly head again. He announces that he has done a slimey deal with the CPC to sidetrack the Champions of the Galaxy. Seeing as Star Warrior’s team were set upon at CPC CHALLENGE the distraction could be an easy one for the Colonizers to pull off. By making a huge payment (stolen out of the Omicron) he has managed to persuade them to help them out in matches against the Champions of the Galaxy over the coming weeks. Magnus Colby was more than happy to put pen to paper on this one. "I'm not doing this for Nefarus and he knows it. I'm doing it for the CPC, another step towards becoming the premiere wrestling promotion in the galaxy."
Little bit of noise coming out of Supernova and it’s directed at Sonora Pelf. Fed up with Pelf’s snootiness it is suggested that she gets in the ring and get involved in the women’s bracket. As usual Spacebook provides the platform for this bantering. Pelf calls Supernova a dirty little whore in response and that she would never indulge in the dirty and sweaty art of wrestling as it is beneath real women to do that type of thing. Considering the heat that is being built up (thanks to the Colonizers) between the Champions and CPC this was an interesting little exchange. Maybe some seeds sown for a female to join one of their teams in the future and feud with Supernova. Feeling totally superior to the GWF as the year end draws in the CPC are not bothering to have any of their belts defended next month. They feel they do not need to take any unnecessary risks with the ones they still hold (Terminus and Prodigy) and they know that the ratings are guaranteed. It’s a surprising move given that the Heavyweight belt is not held by one of their official teams but they are still probing the angle whereby US. Patriot has secretly become part of the Penthouse Suite. Perhaps some twist before the month is out to come from all this. On the GWF side of things there are some surprise decisions from the championship committee when revealing the top contenders to their suite of titles. On the back of 1 measly win Mandrill becomes the first challenger to US. Patriot. Just about seeing off the Matador (who has actually recently beaten Mandrill). It might of been interesting to see the Matador given the nod. We could of had the unusual scenario of a GWF guy holding the CPC Heavyweight belt and vice versa had the Matador won. Instead Mandrill gets another chance to ram home his villain leadership authority. Some say Grogan was nervous about having the casting vote on this particular decision and bottled it. For the IP belt it’s Malice getting the shot. His record this year has been atrocious. But his win over US. Patriot in a non-title match has skyrocketed his ranking and the GWF is keen to push the Gladiators to the forefront again. So he has been pretty lucky there. Maxine Babe will go against Thrash having been the standout performer in the under active women’s bracket. Of course she is being given no chance. Finally the tag belts which X-Termination has dominated will come under threat from the Royal Court. Jack and Queenie are still riding the wave of a big push despite recent losses. They need to make their big chance count. Bigger tests are waiting in the wings especially with the reawakening of the Gladiators.
Final notes see speculation rising on a possible fallout happening between Chaos and Heracles. They looked like they might come to blows on the last show before the feed dramatically cut. Too many conflicting eye witness reports on what happened next to give any single one of them credibility. Not surprisingly Chaos and Heracles aren’t saying much on the matter. Would Chaos even care that much about what happened to dwell on it? His eyes are firmly on capturing the GWF Heavyweight belt again and if Heracles crossed over to the CPC that could only be a good thing as one less obstacle in the way. Also his thoughts are probably more consumed with the impending arrival of Paragon next year as well as the threat Mandrill and the Colonizers are making to his position at the top of the villain tree.
INJURED – Vertigo (minor injury all year); SUSPENDED – Mollock (to end of year)
WRESTLER OF THE MONTH:
TALISMAN – At the beginning of the month US. Patriot was showered with praise for winning both major belts (GWF and CPC) and looked a shoe-in but his crushing non-title loss to Malice put a stain on his record so instead the award goes to Talisman. He surged back from injury to withstand the brutality of Splatter and send him back to Pelf Palace with his tail between his legs. It was about the only good thing to come out of that show if you could forget the distasteful aftermath. Honorable mention must go to Blade for the way he dismantled Brainstorm in his first IP title defence. Brainstorm wasn’t the strongest of challengers that could of been picked but to beat anyone in two moves is a standout achievement. TAG TEAM OF THE MONTH:
NEW ORDER – Dug into the reserves to recover from the setback of being stripped of the CPC belts and then shortly after losing the GWF belts. They are now the CPC tag team champions again and closing in on X-Termination too. Wouldn’t put money against them matching US. Patriot’s achievement as long as they are given the chance. It is amazing to be speaking of New Order with such high regard considering how they underperformed for many years. Also Mace had been acting real cranky which threatened the future of the team. All that now seems a long time ago and if New Order didn’t now win tag team of the year it would be a massive surprise.
