According to the LVRJ, these are some of the names being considered for the now open defensive coordinator position (we really need to do something about our defense which I saw this morning is currently ranked 30th out of 32 teams:)
Joe Barry (Rams LB coach)
Gus Bradley (Chargers defensive coordinator- he could be available if the Chargers don't bring back head coach Anthony Lynn)
Rod Marinelli (Raiders interim defensive coordinator)
Raheem Morris (Falcons interim coach, if Atlanta does not decide to keep him and if he can't get a head coaching position elsewhere)
Matt Patricia (former Lions coach)
Wade Phillips (former Rams defensive coordinator)
Kris Richard (former Cowboys defensive coordinator)
Some of these names that I find especially interesting are Wade Phillips (he was the DC for that Broncos defense that defeated Cam Newton and Carolina in the Super Bowl,) Gus Bradley (he was the DCD for the Seahawks one season when they led the NFL in scoring defense,) and Kris Richard (just like Bradley, he was also the DCD for the Seahawks one season when they led the NFL in scoring defense.)
I admittedly know little of some of these names such as Joe Barry.

Tough loss for the Raiders against my Chargers, whew! Mariotta subbing for Carr looked pretty impressive though. Chargers had a rough run of luck this season, luckily they have won a couple close ones. Watching the highlights this morning, that game could've gone either way! The Chargers aren't going anywhere soon, but at least Herbert looks good so far! Anyway, it's always an INTENSE game when the Raiders play the Chargers! Todd C ("C" is for "Chargers", LOL) WTIC

The Raiders got two players named as first time Pro Bowlers today in Josh Jacobs and Darren Waller. Both players are among the best in the NFL at their positions so this a well deserved honor.

I was reading today's LVRJ where there is an article about Nelson Agholor's upcoming free agency and questions about whether the Raiders will be able to resign him. I really hope the Raiders can resign Agholor especially since the rookie season for Henry Ruggs has been such a disappointment.
There is also an article about Raiders Tight End Darren Waller (definitely one of the best Tight Ends in the NFL) needing only 6 catches on Sunday (and 7 catches to set a new Raiders record) to tie Raiders legend and Hall of Famer Tim Brown for most receptions in a season. Waller this season already passed another Raiders legend Todd Christensen for most receptions by a Raiders Tight End in a season.

Nice touchdown pass from David Carr to Darren Waller! I am hoping to see Waller break the record today.

I hope for you the Raiders win. However Denver winning would give my Lions a better draft pick. So not going to feel bad if Raiders lose.

As this point, a Raiders win really won't do much for them as they have already been eliminated. I have just been hoping to see Darren Waller break the Raiders team record for receptions in a season. Waller needed 6 catches to tie the record and 7 catches to break the record. He currently has 5 catches entering the 4th Quarter.

If not I have the feeling he will next year. They are starting to get the best out of him and another year will really seem him blossom.
