This is a thought that came to my head right before I went to bed last night. I think that the Out of the Ring chart needs a bit of tweaking on the results side to add to the count out "drama". Without going into any long explanations (mainly because I'm trying to get this thought posted before I have to be at work at 8:00 this morning), here's what I'm talking about:
Whenever a wrestler is thrown out of the ring or leaves the ring, the defensive wrestler rolls on the out of the ring chart. Whatever result is rolled, one "tic" is added to both wrestlers' "count out tally". Whenever the "tally" reaches 10 (or 20, if you're playing an ROH, a Japanese, or any other promotion that uses a 20 count), that wrestler is counted out of the ring. After about a "tally" or 5 (or 10, depending on if the promotion you're running is using the 20 count system), both wrestlers (if they're still outside the ring at the count of 5 (or 10) roll their current PIN ratings to see if they crawl back into the ring or continue to fight outside the ring. If they fail their PIN roll, their PIN rating does NOT increase by 1. (In the case of the defensive wrestler, he rolls on the out of the ring chart again. Of course, if the offensive wrestler has already crawled back into the ring before the 10 or 20 count and the result has him crawling back out, this woud effectively "break the count" and both wrestlers would start over again on their "count out tallies" at 0.)
Like I said, it's just a thought. I don't know where this might lead. Let me know your thoughts.
