Maximum Overdrive...perhaps Flash Gordon. Don't know why but I LOVE them both and would enjoy the updates.

FYI, I know this isn't a Labyrinth topic but Labyrinth is back in theaters on September 11th and 16th for thirtieth anniversary. Back to the original topic, I'm not a fan of remakes in general but I think Jaws could do well with a CG shark. Agree, yet, disagree? Yeah, that shark looks faker & faker everytime I watch the movie and Deep Blue Sea, among others showed us just how frikkin' cool CGI sharks could be. Yet, part of what made Jaws so terrifying was the "lack" of the shark visually, in my opinion. I've mentioned to several others that I feel a Jaws remake would be awesome, yet, at the same time, fake shark & all, it might just be too much of a classic to be tampered with. Good topic by the way! Got into a discussion with my buddy at work in regards to a "Jaws" remake...our casting choices were: TJ Miller as Matt Hooper Harrison Ford as Quint Got into a squabble regarding Martin Brody. He picked Mark Wahlberg, I like Adrien Brody for the part, and not just because of the name... |
