This idea sounds great, fantastic opening match too! It sounds like a Royal Rumble basis (if I have this right), but exponentially better whereas all of the confrontations can be absorbed and enjoyed individually. The book as opposed to the movie. 30th anniversary Killer Queen would be my bet for the next match. And the fact the next competitor is suggested / voted on, imo, takes it all to the next level. Thank you very much for checking it out and offering such kind words... If there is anyone you'd like to see compete, just let me know... Should have the Queen vs Villain match posted shortly... OK... So, the second match in the gauntlet was the polar opposite of the first... But hey, stuff happens...
Infinity Gauntlet Match #2
Marty Scurll vs. Killer Queen
Queen rushes at Scurll and tries to knock him down with a preemptive strike. Scurll catches him with a jackknife powerbomb into an immediate pinning combination. Queen kicks out at two, but Scurll wastes no time clamping on his patented CROSSFACE CHICKENWING. Queen taps out, bringing the one-sided encounter to a swift end. (Fatigue: Queen 1)
Winner via submission: Marty Scurll

Once again, I'd like to thank walkswithwolf for picking the Villain's next opponent... This turned out to be a fairly intense matchup, despite what might be indicated by the low fatigue token count... Infinity Gauntlet Match #3Marty Scurll vs. DeliriousThe Villain comes on strong, battering his opponent with hard hitting offense. A jackknife powerbomb is followed up quickly by a seated senton. Scurll whips Delirious into the turnbuckles, but then makes the mistake of trying to fake him out with a superkick, just kidding! Delirious sees the low kick coming and retaliates with a vengeance. The action spills out to the floor where Delirious does even more damage. Scurll avoids being whipped into a corner post and tries to hit a running kick from the apron. Once again, Delirious is ready and he drops Scurll hard onto the back of his head. He rolls his opponent back into the ring and tries to finish him off. Scurll rolls out of the way of a senton splash. Getting to their feet, the two men throw finesse out the window and unload on each other. Scurll sends Delirious to the ropes and sets up for a back body drop. Delirious puts on the brakes and taps Scurll on the shoulder. When Scurll looks up, Delirious puts him down... BIZZARO DRIVER! Delirious hits the inside leg hook fisherman driver, but Scurll gets a shoulder up in time. Without hesitation, Delirious nails his opponent with a second BIZZARO DRIVER and this time, gets the three count. (Fatigue: Scurll 2) Winner via pinfall: DeliriousSo, as predicted, the Villain's run comes to an end after 2 wins... Who will Delirious face next? |
