My GWF is incomplete.
I found COTG while at GenCon one year. I was actually looking for a wrestling game for a friend, but I was immediately hooked. Against my better judgement, I was talked into buying the original starter set because New Beginnings was out of stock at the con. It was an easy sale because I was so excited.
I played starting in game year 2087 and played fanatically, buying (or receiving as gifts from family) 11 other products, through game year 2098. All the while, I felt left out and left behind because I wasn't in the current game year.
I was so engrossed in this amazing game that I even managed to talk myself out of skipping ahead when the big 2125 changes and release happened. Then I started realizing that some sets I was going to need were only available in PDF. It was time to admit my mistake. All those years before, I should have just exercised a little patience and ordered New Beginnings once I got home from GenCon.
So, in game year 2127, I finally made the leap forward. Not wanting to make the same mistake I had made before, I didn't go backwards and buy 2125 and 2126. I supplemented the holes in my fed with cards from GWFZ Territories and GWFZ Infinity. I assumed that eventually I would catch up.
I have purchased (or been given as a gift from family) 2127, 2128, 2129, 2129 6-pack, 2130, 2131, and FTR. I recently ordered Regime Change 2132. I read some spoilers tonight so I know what I will be getting. Would it surprise you to learn that I am still not caught up?
Once I receive 2132, I will still be missing:

Scorn
Monolith
Overtime
She-Devil
Clinch
Shoot
Manager - Dark Menace
Bodyguard - the Leveler
Nosfera
Tharkas
My GWF is still incomplete. After six game years and all of the big story changes, I am still missing 11 personalities.
Oddly, a decent number of personalities from the current roster I only own because I chose to buy extra products (not actual COTG GWF game years).
After six game years of purchases, I own 29 cards (from those years) that are no longer active. That is almost three releases worth of cards, but I am still missing 11 personalities from the current GWF.
I realize this has been a long post. Thanks for sticking with me. This is the Question Forum, and we have finally arrived at my main questions.
How many more game years do you suspect it will take for me to get caught up?
Is there a way to get these 11 cards, without buying old sets that I won't use?
