Problem: Unimportant matches that drag Solution: Play-by-Play Simulator ;D ~ :-Xsk Darn, stole my thunder. That was the first thing I thought of. Definitely, used to hate this. Every few cards had matches I had no interest but had to run because a guy needed a match or I needed something fill space, etc. I'd start all of them hoping for a quick win by somebody. Man-Mountain seemed to be involved in a lot of them, because he had no offense and it was sometimes very hard to get to his L3D. This was especially true in the early editions. As Tom perfected the game, I had less and less of these matches.

Man - Mountain and Brute (the 2090 card) are the worst offenders, I think.. I remember at one point I stopped using the Norse Gods all together in frustration. I agree the pbp sim is great for getting those played, btw.

Don't you hate it when people fail to read your "BTW?" When I had a match like that, where it just dragged on and on, I had whoever was Commissioner at the time come out and fire everyone involved. Seriously. It got rid of a lot of dead weight in my fed (Mutant, Beast-Rider, Ghengis Khan and Mitsuko, et al.).

FWIW, I read the 'BTW" and felt free to discuss, as indicated

Early in my 2087 fed, the Greek Gods had matches like this against Pit-Viper and Pulsar. Constantly they would go into long, drawn out fights and the worst part was the constant blue-balling!
Proteus would get to Level 3, and roll 1: headbutt-2. Or something like that. over and over and over and over and over...
Or someone would get Level 3, roll a 5 which wasn't a finisher, and the opponent would be hurt-2. Right back to where we started. Or my favorite when Proteus would do his headbutt-2 trick from L3 and the opponent would roll dazed-1. Why god? Why?

I've had this a couple times. Even if it's wrestlers you like, if it drags on twenty minutes it gets old.

Yeah, triple threat matches are definitely ones that can drive me nuts and seem to go on forever. Probably why I don't run many any more. Thats why when I run triple thread matches I do them elimination style. They seem to flow along better then the "official" single elimnation style. Don't you hate it when you're playing a match and you can actually hear the crowd chanting "BOR-ING!"?

The thing I hate most is having a match against someone at GalactiCon and you get to L3O, only to roll a 1 for something like "abdominal stretch-2." And then they reverse it.
