Going way back to when DC started their Vertigo imprint I was a big fan and now a new imprint called Young Animal is here and both issue number one's of Shade the Changing Girl and Doom Patrol were really fun reads. I'll be reading the other two books in Cave Carson Has a Cybernetic Eye and Mother Panic, so I'm amp'd for this imprint going forward...

I'm interested in this imprint too. I was a big fan of the original Shade series from Vertigo. This new was even stranger, ha ha! Haven't read Doom Patrol yet and am really wanting to check out Cave Carson. Hopefully they do well and stick around for a while.

Shade is off to a strange, but fun start and seeing Lepuck all over Loma Shade in the museum was funny stuff. I read the interview where Gerard Way heads up Young Animal to give home to the strange characters in the DCU with Vertigo off in a different direction these days...

As much as I hate to buy comics off the rack, I might have to get the new Doom Patrol and Shade the Changing Girl. Shade and Doom Patrol were favorites of mine during the 1990s.
