Sly Drury: As teams are still filing in from their times... I wanted to offer up some pre-tournament matches tonight! So, these matches don't count but are just a preview of things to come. So, enjoy the matches tonight free on us! Gladiators vs. Rebel Empire Overkill defeated Vendetta with a TURNBUCKLE TRAP (+1) at 14:28 Match Notes: Malice and Overkill took advantage of the match early taking out Vendetta, which this gave time for The Gladiators to work on Nefarus. Vendetta was able to come back and make the save of his partner when their opponents hit Nefarus with UNSTOPPABLE FORCE. Vendetta dragged his partner over to their side of the ring and was able to make a tag. Then Overkill was able to mad handle him and put him away with TURNBUCKLE TRAP. Ultimate Fighters vs. Divided We Fall Encubus defeated Shoot with a SECOND COMING (+1) at 10:00 Match Notes: The Ultimate Fighters came out of the shoot on fire taking it to their opponents, but Encubus was able to slow down the tempo of the match to their style and start to work on Shoot. Clinch tried to break up the submission hold SECOND COMING but was superkick by Bloodline. Twin Blood vs. Mean Streets Dreggs defeated Patch with a DREGGS OF DEFEAT (0) at 17:38 Match Notes: Twin Blood was filled with fire and quickness which caught Mean Streets off guard. Patch was able to take out Sleeze with an Walk the Walk on the apron. They were then able to keep Dreggs in their corner and go to work on him. Patch was going for PATCH WORK, but Sleeze was able to pull his brother out of harm way and nail Patch with a face driver. This gives Dreggs the opening he needs to his his finisher DREGGS OF DEFEAT for the 1-2-3! StormTroopers vs. The Troubleshooters Muss defeated Powerhouse with a TROUBLE TIMES TWO (+4) at 28:39 Match Notes: This was an epic battle that waged for nearly half an hour. The momentum went back and forward between these two great teams. StormTroopers hit The Bomb with their finisher STORMTROOPER BLITZ... bit Muss was able to make the save just in time. Muss was able to get the hot tag and went to town on both of their opponents. It wasn't until Hammer was knocked off the apron and on the floor, that The Trouble Shooters were able to deliver TROUBLE TIMES TWO for the win!

An excellent taste of the competition, even though there were no big surprise outcomes... Very cool that DWF were able to pull one out against TUF.... And I've gotta feeling that everyone expects the Aethran teams to perform very well during the tournament...
Can't wait for the main course!

This is going to be a big event, kinda like Reality Showdown was last year. Still probably one of my favorite events I did so far to date. But, I was using this as a test on the format and still getting things done as to the pre-work that goes into this.

Sly Drury: We thought we would do one more night of pre-tournament matches as we are just a few days away from the start of the biggest Tag Team Tournament covering the best teams ever in the GWF past and present. Are you getting excited GWF to see teams you haven't gotten to see in decades? If your not... then maybe seeing our current Gladiator team going up against Superiority Complex will or what about Desolation Factor vs. BD Revolution! Gladiators vs. Superiority Complex Probation defeated Prodigy with a NO SURRENDER (0) at 6:56 Match Notes: Many thought this was going to be a more evenly match, but Fist and Probation were able to take carry of Superiority Complex in short time. Probation showed the crowd that he was more than able to rank up there with big men like Brute and Overkill. Desolation Factor vs. BD Revolution Rack defeated Alpha Female with a RACKED AND RUINED (+4) at 8:53 Match Notes: Havoc and Alpha Female just couldn't find an answer to Rack and Ruin as Desolation Factor proved to be to much for the Black Death team. Godspeed vs. The Cloak Achilles defeated Code Destroyer with an ACHILLES' HEEL (0) at 3:35 Match Notes: Achilles and Ajax stormed the ring and took out Splatter with a double superkick, then Achilles hit Code Destroyer with his patented finisher ACHILLES' HEEL for the easy win! TitanFury vs. Immortals Bex defeated Rising Sun with a GROUND ZERO (0) at 12:25 Match Notes: Titan Fury came out with fire and vigor but it wasn't enough to stop The Immortals, as Bex and Sur slowed down the pace of the match by working on Rising Sun. Dragonmaster tried to make a save but was cut off by Sur.

Another fine appetizer, my friend... Was really hoping that Superiority Complex would send a message by defeating one of the teams representing Aethra... No dice, unfortunately... Rack and Ruin also proves that they should be considered favorites to take it all... Huge win over BD Revolution... Exciting stuff!

I would have to say that Godspeed beating The Cloak was a major upset... can't wait to see what comes of it.

Great work, my friend... Can't wait til round two! Well, we still have Groups D, E and F to go in round one. Cosmic Force put up a really good fight against The GameMasters, I would have thought it would have been an easier fight for them. Two of the Gladiators teams got byes to round two, so we will see what they can do. But, we will see Twin Blood vs. Fist and Probation next time though. Thanks, again my friend!
