Hi everyone. I've been lurking for the last 2 weeks & this seems like a very friendly place so I thought I'd say "Hi" and ask a few questions. I remember seeing adverts for CoTG in PWI & the other Apter mags back in the early 90's and thought it looked a really cool game, but living over here in England & not knowing how reliable the post service would be or even how to pay in $'s I just dreamed about playing. Over the years my interest in pro-wrestling waned but I still loved games, and a few weeks ago a conversation at work dragged up a memory of "that game". So I googled CoTG expecting a few nostalgia sites. WOW! Still going strong.
So, I splashed out on 2087-2093 Online. I am enjoying the game very much but there are a few things confusing me.
On the game table there are a number of tables not in the rules e.g. suicide dive, ref bump, gang interference etc. Also the feud table when rolled has a different set of results than in the advanced rules.
Do these tables appear in later rules sets or are they just nice tools that have been added over time that you folks use when you fancy an injured ref etc.
One last question. How do you guys run triple threat style matches? Are there official rules that I haven't found?

Hey! As someone that 'rediscovered' my love for COTG after being away for about 25 years, I know exactly what you must have thought when you ran that Google search...
I play the online game exclusively and there have definitely been a number of changes from the original game... The game charts you mentioned are enhancements that showed up in later years... The ref bump comes into play when you roll snake eyes on a deathjump... The others are pretty much used when you feel it's appropriate...
There are tons of specialty matches and lots of players make their own rules (such as myself)... Official rules show up in some of the handbooks and ringside companions that have been released in the past... There hasn't been a new RC for quite some time... Hopefully, we'll see one in the not too distant future...
This is an awesome community and you'll find everyone very supportive and helpful... Welcome!

Thanks for the reply Pariah. I have very much enjoyed reading your 2087 fed recently.

most of the charts came later or were updated (like the feud table)
As Pariah said, just use them as you wish.

Welcome! I found this community earlier this year after being away from the game for 11 or 12 years myself. There's a good bunch of people here, and a wealth of knowledge for any questions you have.

Same here guys. Played the original game back in 1986. Would re-discover the game off and on over the years, but really got back into it this last year and in fact went to first Galacticon this last year in Philly. Have a weekly game day with a buddy running our ROH fed.
Where do we get a "Suicide Dive Chart" and "ref bump" ? and even I have heard about different referees with different personalities and how they can change an outcome of a match slightly. Where do we get different Ref cards at and the appropriate rules?

As to the answers to your questions I agree with what Pariah and Troy said. Looking forward to seeing you about the boards. Take it easy, Bri

I know what you and anarchist mean, I first saw an add for Champions of the Galaxy in Pro Wrestling Illustrated, Star Warrior tangling with Wolf in the ring was the picture. 20+ years later I saw Legends of Wrestling being sold at my favorite store in Manhattan. Found out it was all part of Filsinger Games. Now I'm a proud junkie of all things Filsinger. Take care, Bri

We have quite a few non wrestling Cards in the Game.Referees,Managers,Valets and Ring Announcers or Interviewers. But there are mostly not stated as that. They go by their name only.Dont know if there really is a complete list of all of them somewhere here around. Bill Alfonso is a biased Referee.Morgan Dollar from the CAC Line is a Referee also.Or Bryce Remsburg from the Chikara Line
