I'm interested to know how all of you decide when a wrestler can tag out during a match (not counting tagging on defence).
I have a rule that five moves must be performed before a wrestler can tag out, unless he performs his finisher (then he immediately tags out).
Over to you, gentlemen.

I have no rules, I usually try to keep the fresher guy in the ring. Sometimes the fresh guy will be in the ring and roll a down - 3 (tag). I'll usually roll for the tag to try to change the momentum. If the worn down wrestler tags in and gets off a move, I'll usually tag him back out right away.
There are a lot of times when teams make quick tags and double team moves back and forth so I play it by ear. Also, I don't know if it's an actual rule or not but I know that when I roll a tag move on offense, I consider the other wrestler now the legal man in the ring.

I try to play a way that best represents the team I'm using. Killer B's were known to make a lot of quick tags. If the team isn't a "regular" team, then maybe the tags are a bit more methodical.
Also like Havoc said, if it's a move that is a tag move, I automatically assume the the tagged in wrestler is the legal man.

I believe that is the correct rule for tag on offense. Remember reading that in the 2088 handbook.

I 'usually' tag in only after a Level 3 move...and tag when the in ring wrestler's PIN is higher than the apron wrestler's...if tied...I tag after an extended period.
For example, if Hawk s in the ring and hits the DOOMSDAY DEVICE..it brings in Animal...Animal immediately hits a level 3 follow up move...if Animel's PIN is larger than Hawk's...he would immediately tag back out (1 move).

I usually tag in on offense after a Level 2 or Level 3 move, since the tag partner who comes in will be allowed to begin his offensive flurry on the same level his partner tagged out at; and on defensive tags, I have an unwritten house rule that if a wrestler on defense tags in his partner using (tag), his partner must make at least one offensive move on Level 1 Offense before a double team attempt is allowed to be made. That gives the partner who tagged out a chance to "catch his breath and regain some strength" before being "asked to come back into the ring" to double-team their opponent.

On offensive tags I usually play by feel of the match/length of time in ring..If a wrestlers partner is bleeding , I make no offense tags for a bit.
I also wanted to try a rule idea but never did.It was "everybody must have been in the ring at least once before a pin could be scored". I didnt find a good way to make this work though and it would increase times of tag matches.

I use the 3 move rule. Do 3 moves and the guy on defensive rolls a tag attempt. Of course the regular tag rules apply.

The one "house" rule I use is, that a guy on defense can't tag out immediately after a reversal. He has to hit at least one successful move before he makes it to the corner.
