Hope they can keep that momentum once the games start to matter.
Mind you they do have a great chance to build up some early momentum with most of October's Games taking place at the T-Mobile Arena. I think after the first two regular season games against Dallas and Arizona they return to Vegas for the next six or seven. It'll be a great way to build momentum and show the fans what they are capable of doing in their inaugural season.
The huge home stand to start the year will also go a long way to helping establish the team as new entertainment option the city as well.

I agree, but it probably will not matter if the Golden Knights can not get a deal done to get the new team's games on local cable here in Las Vegas. I am OK because I have DISH which (along with Direct TV) are showing the Golden Knights games. But most Las Vegans have the local cable company COX who has yet to reach a deal with the Golden Knights which I think would be disastrous for this new franchise (although the Golden Knights keep saying they are confident they will reach a deal with COX before the regular season starts.)

Golden Knights season-ticket holders have names embedded in home iceVegas shows appreciation for fan base in a very unique wayNHL.com nhlSeptember 25th, 2017 Now that's a cool honor. Fans who bought season tickets for the inaugural season of the Vegas Golden Knights had their names embedded in the ice at T-Mobile Arena. They will be visible for all to see starting Tuesday when Vegas plays its first home preseason game against the Los Angeles Kings (10 p.m. ET; NHLN; ATTSN-RM, NHL.TV). The names were printed on to a long paper mat, laid in the neutral zone in the end the Golden Knights defend twice and then frozen into the playing surface. They are laid out in four rows from board to board. The Golden Knights will play three preseason games at home before their first NHL season begins in Dallas against the Stars on Oct. 6. Their first regular-season home game will be against the Arizona Coyotes on Oct. 10. NHL.com Article with VideoI personally think this is a really cool way to thank the fans who have spent their hard earned money to support the team. It would be cool if this becomes a "Vegas Tradition" with each years season ticket holders being honored in this way. It would be really wicked if this became a thing across the entire NHL.

a historic day for sports here in Las Vegas:
1) Vegas Golden Knights play their first-ever home game at T-Mobile Arena
2) today the Las Vegas 51s finally got an agreed upon (and badly needed) new AAA baseball stadium- and it will be just blocks away from me right next to the Vegas Golden Knights team practice facility
