Harley Race, a former multiple time NWA World Heavyweight Champion is reportedly in ill health and has been placed in a nursing home for long-term care.
Sources close to the legendary grappler have said Race is in failing health and has been moved to a nursing home after his care became too much for his wife and family.
Race, one of the toughest men to ever step into the ring, has seen his health decline in recent years. Several serious car accidents helped further his medical issues. Race has become less ambulatory over the years and often had to use a wheel chair.
Longtime friend, rival and Hall of Fame wrestler Ric Flair has become emotional when talking about Race and has gone on record saying Race is starting to deteriorate.

Rumors have been floating around recently claiming that Harley Race has been moved to a nursing home in order to oversee his declining health. PWInsider reports that this is not the case. The site reports that Race is in fact in a nursing home right now, but that’s so that he can get care and assistance with ongoing physical therapy he’s been undergoing on his legs.
The site reports that the move is not permanent and that it was done simply so that Race can get the focus he needs for his PT. Race has been limited in his movement as of late two to all the damage done to him over the years.
