I didn't think you'd top the Benoit/Zumhofe thing from yesterday but good lord you did it. You think MMA is a work because two fighters who had little more than hype got beaten by opponents who were better than them? Most major sports run over their alloted slot, does that mean they're all fixed, too? If everything was fixed, wouldn't the show end INSIDE the alloted time slot instead of running over? I mean it kinda doesn't make sense to have an MMA show go 30:00 over the time limit if you can actually control it. Oh but wait, they aired a Ronda Rousey video because she's returning at the next PPV that takes place in TWO WEEKS. Totally a work, good investigative work brother.

Merry Christmas to you to Switch. Not only those two. There has always been these theories floating around the net from some of the fighters themselves, even Taz figured it out. As for Rousey she wins the title and retires then shows up at wrestlemania.

Using Taz as a crutch for your argument completely kills it. Taz knows as much about real fights as I do about nuclear physics. PRIDE had worked fights and they were usually kinda easy to spot. Last night's top two fights showcased two fighters who had little more than hype going for them being beaten by people who were more well rounded. That happens in EVERY SPORT, does that mean they're rigged too? The NBA Finals went way over their time slot this year, get Taz on the horn brother I smell a CONSPIRACY. The fact that we're 14 days out from the year 2017 and people still think MMA is a work and use ridiculous examples as "well Taz figured it out" or "they go over their time slot" absolutely astounds me.

MMA is heavily into marketing its product. To a great extent, it pushes style and sex appeal over substance as it strives to make stars out of its most telegenic fighters. When those same fighters get exposed as having been pushed too far too fast, it shouldn't come as a shock.

I'm pretty sure that if MMA were worked, that Van Zant would have won last night and Rousey would still be undefeated (and if Rousey WAS booked to lose to Holm for some reason, you wouldn't have had Holm lose her next two fights). Those losses have cost UFC possibly millions of dollars.

Yeah, you wouldn't have had Holm and then Tate lose the belt on their first defense. I don't think you would have Stipe as the Heavyweight Champion if it was fixed.

Let's look at the main event. Waterson has 9 years of MMA experience and has 18 fights under her belt. Waterson has subbed a lot of women with choke holds. She has a wide variety of wrestling and martial training under her belt. VanZant has been doing this for 4 years and has less training in a variety of styles. She was just a less trained fighter than Waterson was. She also just got choked out with the same hold two fights ago by a woman that's 5-3 in MMA.
