RUPP ARENA
LEXINGTON, KENTUCKY KEVIN STEENpinned AJ STYLES 2* Steen used an eye gouge straight out of the gate almost blinding AJ. Kev then took his time picking Styles apart before putting him away with a second straight Package Piledriver.  IRON SHEIK/w/ Lou Albano pinned 'HACKSAW' JIM DUGGAN 4* Duggan got an early cover after a Spinning Body Slam but after that it was all Iron Sheik. Albano was beside himself with joy as he watched Hacksaw get taken apart by his Iranian Olympian, he even distracted the ref while the Sheik used his Load Boot to knock Big Jim out cold and score the pin.  JERRY LYNN 4pinned BRUISER BRODY 4* Five Star instant classic!! Lynn scored the hat trick with his third straight Cradle Piledriver pin over big Brody. After the match Lynn extended his hand in show of mutual respect but Brody looked very dejected and just left the ring and walked to the back with his head down.  MONEY INC. : TED DIBIASE 2 & DDP 3beat by PINTHE BRISCOE BROTHERS : MARK 3 & JAY 1* Lots of incredible action that ended with Mark using Red Neck Kung Fu on DDP but Page hit the Diamond Cutter out of nowhere for the shocking win!   'SUPERFLY' JIMMY SNUKA 1/w/ Lou Albano beat by DQ ROB VAN DAM 2* Both survived the others finisher but after putting Snuka down with his Spit Legged Moonsault RVD was setting up for the Van Daminator, when BRUISER BRODY hit the ring with a steel chair and started wearing Superfly out. RVD tried a leap on Brody but got swatted out of mid air with sick chair shot. Brody continued his assault on Snuka until a swarm of officials were able to restore order.  RANDY SAVAGE 3/w/ Davina Rose pinned NORTHAMERICAN HWT. CHAMPIONSHIP NON- TITLE MATCHBOBO BRAZIL 3 ( C) * Brazil was on fire to start the match but interference by Rose turned the tide. A Flying Elbow Drop got a two count, savage quickly followed it up with a Piledriver - Neckbreaker Clothesline and finally a second Flying Elbow Drop for the win.   HARLEY RACE 2& GORGEOUS GEORGE 1
/w/ Cherie Dupre' beat by PIN G.W.F. WORLD HWT CHAMPION : CURT HENNIG 3& LARRY 'THE AXE' HENNIG 3* As Race and Axe fought on the floor George scored the shady win on the G.W.F. champ with a small package and a handful of tights. Cherie grabbed the title belt and she and George left with it to jeers of the crowd.   G.W.F. WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE MATCH
THE ROADWARRIORS : HAWK 2 & ANIMAL (C)beat by PINTHE DREAM TEAM : GREG 'THE HAMMER' VALENTINE 1 & BRUTUS BEEFCAKE 3* The Dream Team gave the Warriors their toughest challenge in the tournament and held their own here but the power of the champs was just too much. A Double Clothesline on Beefcake ended the title hopes of the challengers.   |

The escalating animosity between Brody and Snuka is wild and I'm expecting this Texas Death Match to resolve nothing... Looking forward to plenty of violence courtesy of these two...
Also enjoin the unsanctioned World title angle... Thesz must be furious that he dropped that title to the Nature Boy after all that big talk... Another rivalry that should be fun to build...
Excited to see the Whole F'n Show and the New F'n Show joining together to chase the tag straps... Really hoping they take apart Money Inc in their upcoming top contenders match...

LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY GREG 'THE HAMMER' VALENTINE 1beat by SUBMARTY JANNETTY 2* Jannetty used his quickness to keep Valentine off balance and got a early cover after a sick Drop Kick. The ruthless Hammer had enough and took the fight to the floor where he took total control after whipping the rocker into the guardrail repeatedly. Once back in the ring a Falling Hammer Elbow followed by a Shoulder Breaker set Marty up for the Figure Four Leglock.  'HACKSAW' JIM DUGGANpinned IRON SHEIK 2/w/ Lou Albano * The Sheik Spit at Duggan to start the match, but this was a critical error on the Iranian's part. Hacksaw went into a blind rage and just plain bulldozed the Sheik with two Straight Tough Guy Clotheslines. As the Sheik staggered to his feet he was immediately met with a devastating Flying Spear - 1.2..3! A shocked Albano quickly motioned to the back calling out his big Russian enforcer but by the time he got to the ring Duggan was waiting on him 2x4 in hand. Realizing discretion is the better part of valor, Albano retreated to the back with his men in tow. Volkoff was practically carrying a woozy Sheik.  #1 CONTENDERS MATCH G.W.F. WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP
TEAM EXTREME : RVD & JERRY LYNNbeat by DQMONEY INC. TED DIBIASE 1 & DDP 3* Not even attempting to bribe the ref could save Money Inc. from the Extreme onslaught. RVD and Lynn took Dibiase and DDP apart piece by piece until RVD ascended to the top turnbuckle and prepared to deliver the Five Star Frog Splash on Page. Dibiase used his new gold $ belt to smash Van Dam in the back, knocking him off the top clear to the floor, the ref immediately called for the bell  HARLEY RACE 2pinned LARRY 'THE AXE' HENNIG 4* A slobber knocker pure and simple, blood and sweat flew with each heavy blow. A Backbreaker followed by two straight Vertical Suplexs put Hennig down but Race was not satisfied as he picked his former friend and partner up and delivered a sick Piledriver! Still not satisfied, Race delivered yet another nasty Piledriver for the 1.2..3...! Hennig had to be stretchered from the ring as Race looked on with distain. TEXAS DEATH MATCH!
BRUISER BRODYpinned 'SUPERFLY' JIMMY SNUKA 4* This was a massacre, no two ways about it. A Bruiser Backbreaker almost broke Snuka in half to start the match and Twisting Vertical Suplex almost put him through the mat. Superfly struggled to get to his feet and Brody met him with a Big Boot To Face for his effort, then a Jumping Knee Drop crushed his skull. From there Brody took his time punishing Snuka before finally ending it with a third Jumping Knee Drop. There's an old saying to never wake a sleeping giant, well it's too late now and if it's true about who might soon be managing him.... God help us all.  G.W.F. HERITAGE CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE MATCH
BUDDY ROGERS 1 (C)/w/ 'Pretty Boy' Bobby Heenan beat by SUBLOU THESZ * Thesz started like a house of fire, delivering drop kick after drop kick into a Greco Roman Backdrop. Roger kicked out and rolled out of the ring and baited Thesz to follow, which he did. Mistake..... Heenan distracted the ref as Buddy used the time keepers bell to bash Thesz in the knee, he then threw the agonizing Thesz back in the ring and clamped on his Figure Four Grapevine. To his credit Thesz didn't give up but eventually passed out from the pain.  G.W.F. NORTHAMERICAN CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE MATCH
BOBO BRAZIL (C)beat by DQ'MACHO MAN' RANDY SAVAGE 2/w/ Davina Rose * Perhaps Savage was too over confident after his victory in Lexington last card, or perhaps he was too distracted by the fans cheering for Davina Rose. Whatever the case may be the Macho Man was definitely off his game and was made to look silly by the champ. Savage became so frustrated he grabbed the ref and threw him to the mat violently and was immediately disqualified. Savage blamed Rose for this whole fiasco and grabbed her by her hair and pointed his finger right her face as he yelled at her. This drew the ire of the sold out arena, so much so officials had to stop fans from jumping the barricade. Rose broke free of Savage's grasp and ran to the back in tears.  G.W.F. WORLD HWT. CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE MATCH
CURT HENNIG (C)pinned GORGEOUS GEORGE 2/w/ Cherie Dupre' * The flamboyant peacock put on his show before the match, but once the bell sounded it was Hennig who put on a show. George never stood a chance and fell quick after a Hennig-Plex.  * After the match as hennig celebrated with title belt he was attacked from behind by Harley Race. "I put your father in the hospital boy, just for being in my way. What do you think I'm going to do to you to win that belt?" |

Predator Promotions has sanctioned the title belt but renamed it the Heritage championship. This did not please Thesz but losing it to his hated rival pleased him far less. Take apart?....... Take apart is being nice, Team Extreme was on another level in Louisville. As always thanks for reading and feedback, it's much appreciated. |

Awesome that Team Extreme are now the number one contenders for the tag belts... DiBiase saw the writing on the wall - Lynn and RVD were unstoppable... Cannot wait to see how they fare against the Road Warriors...
Race is looking tough, as expected... Curt Hennig has been performing much better in my fed than I had anticipated... Should be a great match when he defends the gold against Handsome Harley...
Thoroughly enjoyed the encounter between Brody and Snuka, even if it was a little one sided... When Brody is on his game, I'm not sure anyone can beat him...
Fun stuff!
