So after a long time away from Filsinger Games, I'm deciding to get back into things, and was wondering what everyone's take is on which set to buy. I've always enjoy Champions of the Galaxy, but I also enjoy Legends for the actual wrestlers. With that in mind, and without is turning into a bashing session, would you guys recommend Chikara or ROH? I'm kind of leaning to the craziness of Chikara, but Ring of Honor looks fun, too.
What do you think?

Definitely not an easy decision... But, in some ways I think you can answer your own question... Would you prefer an unorthodox fed where suspension of disbelief is a key component? Or would you like something more traditional that is built on pure competition? Both have their appeal which is why a lot of promoters tend to either combine or play multiple indy feds...
If I was going to choose one or the other, it would be ROH... Simply because of the wrestlers available in that particular line... No matter which direction you choose, there is only one rule - Have fun!

I'm partial to Chikara but ROH has a lot of good stuff as well.

I'd go with ROH. So many solid wrestlers, and I've been tempted to buy the starter set for days. That being said, Chikara looks super fun too.
I honestly don't think you can lose.

MattIt really depends on what you like more--ROH's more realism based action or the Chikara wackiness within its self contained universe. Both sets are fun and have their strengths.

Overall I think you should get into both and have a CHIKARA vs. ROH rivalry and see which fed is truly the most dominant.

In my opinion, the intro ROH set is the better value. As well, it is well supported with supplemental sets and the cards work well with the other sets that are available (CZW, AIW etc etc).

Tough call...CHIKARA is lots of fun, if a bit far-fetched at times, which is the appeal of the company. If you're a big fan of COTG, Chikara is closest to what you're used to. ROH simply has in my opinion, the most talented wrestlers in the FG universe, followed very closely by EVOLVE. A complete collection of ROH cards also gets you a fairly impressive amount of current WWE / NXT superstars as well, if that carries any weight. Either way, you can't go wrong, as long as you enjoy the game!
