What I like about this fed (and all feds that I tend to like) is that you get right down to the business of the cards, which is what its all about. Storylines are key, but I like them to be a backdrop to the actual game play and results. I like that I don't have to filter through walls of text to find who won your matches. Very fun and easy fed to follow! It's funny that you raise this point because it's something that I've struggled with a lot when posting fed results... How much detail is needed in a match summary? How much non-match content is needed to tell a story? Although I personally enjoy feds that employ a wide assortment of styles, I wanted to knock my own presentation down to the bare essentials... That way I am free to spend as much time as possible doing what is most important to me - PLAYING THE GAME... In fact, I even ditched the format generated by the FG online show editor in favor of something I felt was even more streamlined... Always appreciate you taking the time to point out some of the finer details, my friend... I think this is the kind of feedback that a lot of players are looking for when they share their results... Many thanks!

I know when I write up results, I like to give a brief summary of the match. If something important happens, I'll slide it in (interference, storyline development) and I tend to like to read feds which work similarly. Keep the dice hot, Pariah.

God knows I write my fair share of storylines, but I like to include my 'quick results' at the bottom of each card for fans who sometimes enjoy storylines, but mostly want to see the results of the matches.

I cut back a lot on the excessive story telling and now only use segments that are totally necessary to advance storylines that are developing. Otherwise, I am keeping my writeups to bare essentials to the match results.

I like this conversation. I am one that does lengthy write ups for my cards but I have been thinking of streamlining, especially due to my recent battle with carpel tunnel. I agree that PLAYING THE GAME should be what it is all about and sometimes I get too wrapped up in what I am writing and forget that the point is to have fun.I am going to try and do a quick results deal like others have been doing and then just fill in important points as needed. I think you guys have inspired me to make some changes and for that I thank you.

I think if your doing straight kronos tournaments you can do just match results, but if you are doing more of a fed... write ups that are more than just match results tell so much more story and drama. That said, I do agree that none of us want to read a book when we are reading someone's fed.

Funny you mention that as sometimes I feel like I am writing a book when I post my results I am hoping to come up with a nice system for myself to condense things and will look to all of the other great feds on the board for inspiration. I think that I will definitely enjoy the game even more if I can streamline my results posting.

The problem I had doing all the long write ups and Pariah can tell you from the many discussions we had at the time... I got burned out for a while on it. Then I moved to just doing detailed write ups on the title reigns. Then I went to a season type show that is more based on wins and losses in progressions to a title shot.

Absolutely LOVE spinoff conversations like these, TTX, Swarm, vx, Vanimal, cruefan68 and Crossbones... As most everyone knows... In the end, as long as you're having fun, I think it will shine through... No matter how you choose to present your results... And those are the feds I enjoy reading the most... If you want to write a blow by blow account of what takes place during a match, that's great... As long as you don't treat it like a chore... Because the instant writing something feels like work then I can almost guarantee reading it will feel the same... Tell your story in whatever manner works best for you - Just so long as you tell it... Truly appreciate the awesome input, my friends... This community is one of the most remarkable support systems out there... If you're feeling blocked and need to talk something out - There is always a fellow promoter out there willing to bounce ideas back and forth... And if you're burnt out and need a break - Take care of yourself... The audience will always be here when you return... I've learned both of these lessons from first hand experience... To anyone and everyone... Many thanks for sharing!
