I'm a big fan of John Carpenter's! His movie THE THING just amazed me to no end, and I still rank it as my second favorite movie of all time (just behind Empire Strikes Back because, well... Star Wars, yeah)!
Anyway, I saw something on Yahoo recently that is kind of a homage (is this the correct term?) to Carpenter's The Thing: A movie coming out on March 31st called: THE VOID!
It's said that it is over-the-top in it's practical effects, by that (um how do i put this delicately?) I mean it's a "body horror" movie like The Thing was, with no CGI!
I've seen the trailer, and it looks pretty good! I won't include a link to the trailer since it is a Rated R movie, but the trailer can be found "elsewhere".
As you can see by the .gif in my signature (I made it from the trailer myself!), it seems to have already gotten some very good reviews!
Anyway, I will have a full review if I go see the movie on March 31!
