***BROKEN HARDYS vs. ROCK 'N' ROLL EXPRESS***
A wild affair that at one point sees Robert Gibson attempt to flee in a pickup truck! For his troubles, Gibson was thrown head first into a road sign by Brother Nero, who then smashed him with a steel shovel as the Hardys dominated the first half of the match. The tide begins to turn however when Brother Nero inexplicably tosses Gibson into the Lake of Reincarnation! Distracted by his lapse in judgement, Brother Nero is blasted by the steel shovel, courtesy of Ricky Morton, who is then shot by Vanguard 1! Morton then proceeds to shoot fireworks at Matt Hardy before the BROKEN One is rescued by Scarsguard the Boat!
When the action returns to the ring, the Express complete their miraculous run of success as Gibson pins BROKEN Matt following DOUBLE DROPKICK
In a shocking upset, The Rock 'N' Roll Express have DELETED the BROKEN Hardys in their own match!
As Gibson & Morton celebrate, some old "friends" of the Hardys have entered the Dome of DELETION...

...as The Rock 'N' Roll Express celebrate their victory, the Hardys realize the party isn't over yet! The "Bucks of Youth" have entered the Dome of Deletion, and begin mocking the Hardys over their loss at the hands of their elder counterparts. The BROKEN One challenges the Bucks to an impromptu match and...
The BROKEN Hardys defeat the Young Bucks when Matt Hardy pins Nick Jackson following TWIST OF FATE
Following the match, in a show of mutual respect, all 4 men shake hands as the BROKEN Invitational comes to a close, but there's a definite feeling that this rivalry is far from DELETED...

Thanks to all for the positive feedback as the BROKEN Invitational played out. Your comments are always appreciated! (And the nomination for Fed of the Quarter was very unexpected to say the least!)
It was always my intention that the BROKEN Invitational would be "just a tournament" (hopefully an annual one) & not a "fed", so to speak. So while the Invitational may be history, as I alluded to above, the Bucks & Hardys storyline may very well be just beginning...
As for how the tournament played out, I was very satisfied with the results. The streak that Gibson & Morton went on made for some interesting results, but in the end, the 3 teams I wanted to showcase most of all each got their "moment" in the spotlight : the Bucks defeat the Hardys in their own backyard, the Express "shock" the world by winning the tournament & the Hardys get redemption by closing the tournament out with a win over the Bucks, also laying the groundwork for an ongoing rivalry between the 2 teams.
Lastly, thanks AGAIN & as ALWAYS to SWARM & anyone & everyone who took part in not only this set, but in ALL aspects of the Filsinger Games Universe!
