So I am tempted to get CotG: Genesis and was wondering how good the Jack Hood card is? I hear he can injure people with the best of them.

I would use his card sparringly. He injured Omega, Morpheus, and Screw leaving Torin Caelum to save the fed. Originally Caelum was on "team POW" but switched when he realized Hood wanted to destroy the newly formed GWF. Caelum of course only wanted to get to the top of the fed, not destroy it. Of course, Caelum ended up winning the feud.

I briefly used the Jack Hood card that came with the Genesis book but I had to stop because he injured too many members of my roster with his THE RIPPER finisher.

He's a beast. injury is a distinct possibility against that guy, but he is beatable. I would buy Genesis for the awesome story AS WELL as a great card you can't get any other way.

I really like Jack Hood and he has been a very influential force in my EC fed. He has his own stable the "POW Liberation Front" that stands up to Omega and Morpheus. Screw is his one man wrecking machine that does all his dirty work but the very few times I put him in the ring the guy injured all of his opponents. So while he is a very fun card and a great antagonist for your fed. His in ring use should be sporadic at best else you have a good portion of your roster on the shelf.
Although I noticed there is a new Jack Hood in the POW Revival set. What is different other than the art? Cause I just might have to get that one.

I never used Screw as part of Hood's group, I did however use Defiance and Torin Caelum.

Always fun to see COTG:Genesis and Jack Hood getting some love! Although I noticed there is a new Jack Hood in the POW Revival set. What is different other than the art? Cause I just might have to get that one. There are lots of differences on the move sets. I don't have the card in front of me, but I'm pretty sure the POW version of Jacky Boy doesn't feature any of his old signature moves. I'm almost positive he doesn't have THE RIPPER finisher (and obviously no automatic injury rule that goes with it). ~ :-Xsk

The POW card is different offensively, but it does still use the defensive SHIELDED SMILE turnaround, which can be a difference maker. I was really glad to bring this character back to life in the POW and hope he'll have many more pain-free years to come.

Mr. Hood injured just about every guy he got into the ring with in my EC fed. I think I had about four guys down at once because of the automatic injury. He was allied with Dorado Sundown, and if he hadn't lost a loser leaves the GWF match, he probably would have put my entire roster on the shelf at some point.

I used him sparringly as a George Steele type (in that he only made very special appearances) Ironically, he never injured anyone until he gave up not being able to hurt Omega, Morpheus or Torin Caelum.
