Reading the newest post first

Is there a way to set it up so that you read the newest post first when clicking on a thread? Also is there a way to set it up so that anybody looking at your thread will see the newest post just after your original post?

If I click on a thread from the homepage it takes me to the newest post that I have not read. If you are in a forum and click on a thread or a page number it just takes you to the top of that page.
