Been playing off and on since the release of the original Galaxian Invasion and am considering coming to the con. What are the tournaments like? Are there people trading or selling stuff? Other activities? Any information may help my decision as I would be flying from Portland, OR.

Other activities? Any information may help my decision as I would be flying from Portland, OR. We will be doing a ton of tournaments as usual that cover all the games in the FG umbrella. We also will have a trivia contest, auction of unique items, like original art and other fun stuff. There are people selling or giving away personal bootleg sets and we will have the new GWF set. Friday night we have a get together to meet up with other folks, and at night many will get together and hang out. I am leaning towards making the trip. Tell me more about the tournaments, specifically the Champions of the Galaxy All Time. How do you determine what character(s) you play? As you know the power levels are dramatically different from say Pollux to Chaos the Indestructible. Are there Tag Team Tournaments? I would love to play as Above the Law ( Bishop Hell & Mad Jester) one of my favorite teams of all time. Just wondering how it works as I have almost exclusively played COTG as a solo game.

We choose the wrestlers usually before hand and then put them in a bag and you draw out the wrestler. We don't normally do tag tournaments because they can take quite a while and we're doing this in one day instead of two. There are two tournaments that will be choose your own wrestler, in that case you draw a number to see when you get to pick.

Mind you the dice do some funny things some years.....it's not always the top guy who wins the tournaments for sure.

Thanks for all the quick feedback. Given the scenario for the tournaments is it necessary to bring your own cards, although I have been playing for a very long time; I only have sets through Takeover 2112.

Actually, i assume the 32 wrestlers for the tournament would just be made available.
