A nice title defense for Harley Race in the main event and a resilient showing for Willie Mack. I liked Adam Cole calling out Nigel McGuinness in what should be a great bout. Another fun show from the Chase.

Another fun show from the Chase. Thanks! I knew I wanted to use Willie Mack when I started things up but I didn't know he'd be as good as he is. The funny part is I got him as a freebie thrown in with a regular order. I'm hoping Nigel vs. Adam Cole lives up to expectations.

Live from the legendary Chase Hotel, it's episode 9 of Wrestling at the Chase!: 1. Moose vs. Bobby Heenan Bobby Heenan raked Moose’s eyes at the opening bell, blinding the big man. Heenan continued his attack, focusing on illegal tactics. Heenan drilled Moose with a foreign object, concealing it from the referee, and covered Moose but the former football player kicked out. Heenan threw Moose to the outside and Moose dragged him under the bottom rope and slammed him into the ringpost, busting him open. Moose turned Heenan inside out with a short arm clothesline but Heenan got his foot on the ropes. Moose hit a second short-arm clothesline for the win.
2. Nigel McGuinness vs. Lou Albano Nigel took control and began working the arm early, nearly getting a pinfall with the Guvnor’s Crumpet. Nigel locked on the London Dungeon but Albano managed to wriggle to the ropes. Nigel spiked Albano with the Tower of London for the win.
3. Hanson vs. Jason Kincaid The battle of the beards was off to a bad start for Kincaid as Hanson overwhelmed him with his power attack. Hanson hit a powerbomb for a near fall and drilled Kincaid with a carwheel lariat. Kincaid left the ring to regroup but Hanson was ready for him. Hanson threw Kincaid back out to the floor and kicked, stomped, and slammed him all over ringside. Hanson looked into the camera and said he’d do the same thing to Hacksaw Jim Duggan if he ever got in the ring with him again. Kincaid was a bloody mess and Hanson clotheslined him over the guardrail into the crowd. Finally, the referee had enough and disqualified Hanson.
4. Bruiser Brody vs. Rock Riddle Brody flung Riddle across the ring like a rag doll at the opening bell and almost took his head off with a big boot to the face. Brody threw Riddle to the outside. Brody charged Riddle but Riddle backdropped him over the guard rail into the crowd and quickly ran back into the ring. Brody came after him but Riddle threw him back out of the ring. Riddle plastered Brody with a steel chair in full view of the referee, drawing the DQ.
5. Randy Savage vs. Tracy Williams Williams tried to grapple with Savage early on but Savage got the upper hand. Williams nearly got counted out after a flying axe handle on the outside. Savage hit a neckbreaker clothesline but Williams kicked out. Savage tossed Williams out to the floor and slammed him into the ringside stairs. Savage hit the flying elbow smash but Williams was too close to the ropes and broke the pin. Savage dragged Williams to the center of the ring and hit a second flying elbow smash for the win.
After the match, Savage got on the mic and said he had a front row seat for River City Rampage so he could watch his good friend Michael Elgin take on Harley Race for the LWF Midwest Heavyweight title. The show went off the air with Savage laughing in the center of the ring.

I loved seeing the managers in enhancement talent roles, that is a great use for those guys. It looks like Rock Riddle has a death wish, though, as Bruiser Brody will likely be looking for some revenge after taking that chair shot. Randy Savage comes up big against Tracy Williams and taunts Harley Race as well. Good stuff.

I used to watch Wrestling At The Chase every Sunday morning at 11:00 AM on KPLR Channel 11 with my dad. I remember Bruiser Brody--or I should say King Kong Brody--calling himself the "Sunday Morning Man". I'm pleased to see him playing a huge role in your fed. It's so nice to see that I'm not the only one who remembers the good old days when St. Louis was the wrestling capitol of the world. All the greats made their way to Chase Park Plaza, Kiel Auditorium, and the "old barn" St. Louis Arena aka the Checkerdome when Purina owned the Blues hockey team. I'm hoping that "Nature Boy" Buddy Rogers will come to town to challenge "Handsome" Harley Race for the championship. I couldn't help but notice that you've only used wrestlers as cornermen. Is that a throwback to promoter Sam Muchnick not using managers? I also assume that you won't be introducing any other belts because Muchnick only had the NWA Missouri State title--no tag belts or secondary singles titles. Congratulations on a great start for your Wrestling At The Chase fed. I look forward to reading more about it!

I used to watch Wrestling at the Chase with my dad in the dying days of the territory and I loved the Larry Matysik Wrestling at the Chase book so that's where the inspiration comes from. I'm only using the color cards so no managers yet but I'm thinking about bringing in the Dark Menace at some point. You're right on about not bringing in another singles belt or tag belts, though I might do a tag team tournament at some point. I thought about reviving my old LWF Missouri title for the fed but decided I'd rather have a tournament to kick things off. Buddy Rogers will show up eventually.

Daniels came out with his partner, Frankie Kazarian. Hennig was jawing with Kazarian and Daniels drilled him with an enzuigiri for a near fall. The crowd erupted as Larry Hennig made his way down to ringside to support his son. Daniels and Henig traded the advantage, wrestling a competitive match. Hennig hit a sunset flip but Daniels kicked out. Hennig hit a running knee lift but Daniels managed to get his shoulder up. Daniels took the advantage and hit the Angel’s Wings. Larry Hennig entered the ring but Kazarian cut him off. Daniels hit the Best Moonsault Ever for the win. After the match, The Hennigs and the Addiction got into a wild brawl. Security mobbed the ring as the show went off the air.
