Wrestling at the Chase Comeback Special
1. Kenny Omega vs. Marty Scurll
Scurll focused his attack on Omega’s injured shoulder, quickly taking The Cleaner down to one knee. The Villain locked on the Crossface Chickenwing but Omega managed to escape the hold. Scurll blasted Omega with a rebound lariat but Omega was too close to the ropes to make the cover. Scrull threw Omega to the outside and went for his umbrella but Mrs. Edna Greenbaum, seated in the front row, yanked the umbrella out of Scurll’s grip! Scurll shoved Edna down to a round of boos. Scurll turned around into a spray can shot from Kenny Omega! Omega threw Scurll back into the ring and hit Croyt’s Wrath for the win.

After the match, Kenny Omega helped Edna back to her feet and gave her a hug. Larry Matysik left the broadcast booth and headed down to ringside. Omega held the ropes open for Matysik and headed to the back.
Larry Matysik addressed the crowd, apologizing for Wrestling at the Chase’s absence. He said that the St. Louis Wrestling Club absorbed another territory and would be bringing in more stars. He also said that KPLR would be airing a second wrestling show, Big League Wrestling, on Saturday mornings and Main Event Monday once a month on Monday nights. The first Main Event Monday would be in four weeks and feature Lou Thesz defending the LWF North American Heavyweight title against Michael Elgin.
2. Greg Valentine vs. Sam Houston
Valentine took control at the opening bell and rocked Houston with a scoop slam and blasted him with Valentine Chops. Valentine locked on the figure four and Houston had no choice but to submit.
Winner - Greg Valentine by submission
Valentine refused to release the hold until a huge man, later identified as Barry Windham, came down the aisle. Valentine released the hold and fled into the crowd.
3. Midnight Express vs. Too Cool
Jim Cornette looked disgusted at Too Cool’s pre-match antics. Eaton and Taylor started the match. Eaton and Condrey wore Taylor down with quick tags, nailing him with the double goozle for a near fall. Eaton and Condrey hit the Rocket Launcher but Jim Cornette ordered them to punish Taylor some more. The Midnight Express hit the Midnight Massacre. Eaton kept Brian Christopher busy while the referee made the three count on Taylor.

After the match, Cornette ran down sports entertainers like Too Cool and singled out Kenny Omega by name. He yelled at Mrs. Edna Greenbaum for a few minutes until security cleared the ring for the next match.
4. Willie Mack vs. CW Anderson - No DQ
Anderson and Mack circled one another. Anderson went for the short arm scissors but Mack powered out of it and hit the sit and stay legdrop. Mack hit the MDX for a near fall. Anderson recovered and attacked Mack’s arm but Willie bounced back and whipped Anderson to the buckles. Anderson made Mack eat a boot and waited for him to get to his feet. Anderson plastered Mack with the shotgun superkick but Willie got his foot on the ropes. Anderson hit a second superkick but Willie managed to get his shoulder up. Anderson protested, claiming a slow count. He threw Willie out to the floor and slammed him into the guardrail. Willie made a comeback and hit a spinebuster for a near fall. Anderson made a comeback and renewed his assault on Mack’s arm. Willie hit a standing dropkick out of nowhere and went to work on Anderson. Willie hit MDX but Anderson was too close to the ropes. Willie hit the chocolate thunder bomb but Anderson managed to get his foot on the ropes. Willie hit MDX and CW rolled out of the ring. Willie smashed CW with a chair, busting him open. Willie hit MDX again but CW rolled under the bottom rope. CW made a comeback and locked on the crossface submission but Willie wouldn’t tap. Anderson hit the Shotgun Superkick a third time but Willie got his foot on the ropes. Anderson threw Willie out of the ring and the two men brawled all over the ring area. Anderson slammed Willie’s arm into the ringpost and rolled him back into the ring. Anderson hit the superkick for the fourth time but Willie kicked out! Anderson hit a spinebuster but was too tired to capitalize on it. Willie and Anderson battled back and forth until CW hit a low kick and followed it up with the superkick for the win.

After the match, CW Anderson was celebrating on the way to the back when Moose barreled out of the locker room and speared him in the aisle! The crowd errupted as Moose clotheslined Anderson over the guardrail and into the crowd. Moose went into the ring and helped Willie Mack to his feet. Moose raised Willie’s hand…
And whipped him into the ropes, brutally spearing him! The crowd booed as Moose stomped Willie a few times before walking to the back.
5. Lou Thesz vs. Curt Hennig for the LWF North American title
Hennig’s sneak attack did little good. Thesz soon had him on the mat and locked on the STF but Hennig quickly grabbed the bottom rope. Hennig made a comeback and exchanged punches with Thesz. Thesz and Hennig collided in the center of the ring and Thesz recovered first. Thesz whipped Hennig to the ropes and hit the Thesz Press for a quick win., his fourth successful title defense.

The steel cage lowered from the rafters for the main event. Larry Matysik and Mickey Garagiola talked about how this was only the second cage match in the history of Wrestling at the Chase.
6. Randy Savage vs. Buddy Rogers - steel cage:
Savage tore into Rogers and quickly went to the top rope. Rogers went up after him but Savage thumbed him in the eye and threw him to the mat. Savage slammed Roger’s face into the cage and hit a knee drop from the top. Savage went to top rope again and the crowd urged him to got to the top of the cage. Savage hit the flying elbow smash from the top of the cage and headed for the cage door but Rogers clipped his knee from behind. Savage recovered and went to the top and hit a flying cross body but Rogers rolled through the hold and ran for the door. Savage tackled Rogers and the two men brawled on the ground. Rogers got the upper hand and slammed Savage’s face into the cage. Both men were bleeding from the forehead. Rogers slammed Savage’s face into the cage but seemed more interested in punishing Savage than winning the match. Rogers locked on the Figure Four Grapevine but Savage fought his way out of the hold. Rogers nailed Savage with a series of dropkicks and went for the door but Savage pulled him back into the ring. Rogers slammed Savage’s face into the steel mesh and whipped him into the buckles. Savage backdropped Rogers into the cage, opening another cut on Roger’s head, his bleach blond locks stained crimson. Savage unloaded on Rogers, hitting the double axe handle, but Rogers kept him from leaving the cage. Savage hit another double axe handle and signaled he was climbing out of the cage! Rogers climbed up after him and the two men fell back into the ring. Savage recovered first and hit the running knee to the back. Rogers bounced off the cage and got tangled in the ropes! Savage berated Rogers, slapping him several times, before leaving the cage through the door.

Savage walked to the back, grabbing the camera man and challenging Lou Thesz for a shot at the LWF North American Heavyweight title. The show went off the air with the referees freeing Buddy Rogers from the ring ropes.
