Something called Bar Wrestling got announced tonight. It sounds like it might be a new Indy fed being run by Joey Ryan? The first show with a full bar is taking place (all tickets are standing like Beyond Wresting) in Baldwin Park with the first show on Thursday June 8th. announced for the show (all tickets are $10!): Cody Rhodes, Penta El Zero M, Willie Mack, Brian Cage, Taya Valkyrie, Jeff Cobb, Joey Ryan, Candice LeRae, Shayna Baszler, LuchaSaurus, Ryan Nemeth, hosted by Maria Santos, and more! (that is an awesome list of talent for just $10!)

The announcement of Bar Wrestling last night caused some confusion because the person (apparently/reportedly Joey Ryan) making the announcement accidentally changed the name of PWG's Facebook page in the process (and then someone else took advantage of the confusion to take the PWG name for their own Facebook page) but Bar Wrestling is a fed separate from PWG. Bar Wrestling announces its debut show on June 8th in Baldwin Park
Yesterday evening, a new promotion calling itself Bar Wrestling announced its debut show scheduled June 8, 2017 in Baldwin Park, CA. The show will be held at the American Legion Post #241, which was previously the home for the Insane Wrestling League promotion.
I have been told that it will be a two-hour show with a party-like atmosphere, starting at 9:00 pm. The venue features a full bar, and it will be standing room only. Attendance will be capped at between 200 and 300 fans and tickets will only cost $10.00.
Announced for the debut show are Cody Rhodes, Penta El Zero M, Willie Mack, Brian Cage, Taya Valkyrie, Jeff Cobb, Joey Ryan, Candice LeRae, Shayna Baszler, LuchaSaurus, Ryan Nemeth, and will have Melissa Santos hosting. There will be more to be announced as well.
The promotion made some early waves when the Pro Wrestling Guerrilla was briefly changed to a page for Bar Wrestling. We are told it was a mistake by someone who had access to the PWG but is now involved with Bar Wrestling. Unfortunately during the brief time the name had been changed someone grabbed the Pro Wrestling Guerrilla name and started a new page. A report is being filed with Facebook to get the original PWG page returned to the promotion.
Tickets for Bar Wrestling’s debut show are on sale now and available at www.brownpapertickets.com/event/2948884.
