Farewell and Thank You, Everyone!

I finished the bulk of the work on the Bootleg project today and submitted it for testing. I'll have a little more work ahead of me to get everything just right and ready for release, then I have one particularly heinous bug in the ranking software to squash. After those tasks, my time as a developer on COTGonline will have come to an end.

I wanted to take this opportunity to thank all of you guys for giving me the opportunity to do this. I've already thanked the behind the scenes people, but without the enthusiastic support the community has shown for the project, I'd have never been able to spend more than two years working on it. While it hasn't always been the least stressful project to work on, it has been one of the most satisfying things I've ever done. Knowing that some of you out there are having fun playing with something I had a hand in building is a great personal satisfaction to me.

I look forward to seeing what Osk, Squire, and the rest of the new team come up with as they push COTGonline forward. I also look forward to just getting to play again. Thanks once again to all of you for playing in the sandbox with me for the last couple of years!

My friend, co-worker, fellow COTGonline 'founding father,' and all around good guy...your efforts on this ever growing project will be sorely missed.

Your hard work has set a foundation that will continue to be built on for as long as COTG exists and that means a whole lot to a whole lot of people.

I am personally forever in debt to you for all the time and energy you've spent making COTGonline what it is today. I hope everyone remembers that everything the project will become in the future will only be possible based on what you've done.
