PWG announced today that All Star Weekend 13 takes place on October 20-21.
unfortunately I don't think I can go, that is a bad weekend for me

although I can not go to Night 2 (Night 2 is the night I already have a very expensive ticket to see my first ever Golden Knights game- and quite possibly my only Golden Knights game this year- and I have been waiting to see the NHL play here with a local Las Vegas team for years,) I plan on trying to get a ticket to Night 1 (and then driving back really early on Saturday morning to Las Vegas so I can attend the Golden Knights game on the Strip that night.) I think the fact that I am only trying for 1 of the 2 shows and not a ticket for the show featuring Chuck Taylor vs Ricochet will help me out when tickets go on sale on Thursday night.

PWG announced some changes to Night 1:
PENTA EL ZERO M is now on the show
Sammy Guevara vs. Flamita vs. Rey Horus is now a triple threat (FENIX is no longer in the match)
Jonah Rock now wrestles Keith Lee
The Chosen Bros (Jeff Cobb & Matthew Riddle) get their PWG World Tag Team Championship match against the defending champions the Lucha Brothers (REY FENIX & PENTA EL ZERO M.)
on a side note, Night 1 is I think the first time in years that a PWG show did not sell out almost immediately, in fact general admission tickets are still available over 1 week after they went on sale

It probably wasn't the best idea to run a double shot weekend right after BOLA with the ticket prices being what they are, especially when the originally announced card for night one wasn't nearly as strong as night two, which has the Ricochet title match and the Bucks. |

back at the hotel now from going to this show tonight. a brief recap (I might type more later, just really exhausted from a long week that already earlier included back to back late nights of going to the Golden Knights and then going to The Interrupters show with my friends Ofi and Ben but yet still waking up daily at 5 AM for work lol.) I drove out to LA from Las Vegas in my truck as soon as I got out of work today but due to traffic issues did not make it to Reseda until about the scheduled bell time 8:00 PM. Thankfully PWG opened the doors late and my friend Alex who works at PWG (he lives here in Las Vegas too and he went to the high school I teach at) saved me a great 2nd row seat near the bar facing the center of the ring. I am very fortunate to have some really cool friends. before the show I finally bought a BOLA 2017 shirt (PWG had sold out of them when I went to BOLA all 3 days last month) and at Intermission I got my copy of my Trevor Lee card autographed (he looked over the stats I wrote and told me he thought they were good.  ) results: Flash Morgan Webster defeated Brian Cage (substituting for Travis Banks who could not make it due to VISA issues) Mark Haskins defeated Adam Brooks (making his PWG debut) Joey Janela defeated Trevor Lee Keith Lee defeated Jonah Rock Sammy Guevara defeated Flamita and Rey Horus Ricochet defeated Walter. At one point during this match I just arrived back to my seat from the bar carrying a cup of beer when I suddenly saw Walter standing in front of me and Ricochet about to dive on him. With my beer in one hand and my new BOLA shirt and cards in the other (which suddenly shifted and prevented me from getting out of the way on my own) I braced myself to take one serious hell of a hit- but then I suddenly barely got pulled out of the way by my friend Shawn who was sitting in the row behind me. I did spill 1 or 2 drops of beer, but at least didn't get hit thanks to one of my friends. Thank you Shawn! main event: Chosen Bros (Matt Riddle and Jeff Cobb) defeated Lucha Brothers to win the PWG World Tag Team Championship. great show, worth every single mile in my truck on the road to make it here today after a long week filled with late nights and thus little sleep. I wish I could go to tomorrow's show too but I already bought my ticket to tomorrow's Golden Knights game back in August before PWG announced it was running this weekend. |
