WWF Wrestlemania – Live at Madison Square Garden in New York City!Wrestlemania opens with Vince McMahon standing next to Jesse “The Body” Ventura. They both have microphones and are smiling at the camera. They are both dressed to kill - looking great in their tuxedos. The camera zooms in on them and then Vince McMahon begins to speak.
Vince McMahon: Welcome everyone to Wrestlemania! We have a huge show for you tonight. We are going to crown the first WWF World Heavyweight champion.
Jesse Ventura: That’s right Vince, we’ve got sixteen guys back there who all want to win the WWF World championship, but only one man can walk out with the belt. My pick is “Macho Man” Randy Savage.
Vince McMahon: It’s a sixteen man single elimination tournament. We’ve got a great night of action lined up for our very first Wrestlemania! Remember one thing wrestling fans, anything can happen in the World Wrestling Federation. Now, let’s go backstage with Mean Gene Okerlund who is with one of the sixteen participants - “The Immortal” Hulk Hogan!
The scene then changes to Mean Gene standing next to Hulk Hogan. Hulk Hogan is smiling at the camera. The camera zooms in on his face and then Mean Gene begins to speak to everyone who is watching around the world.
Mean Gene Okerlund: I’m here with the odds on favorite to win this whole thing - Hulk Hogan, you face Hillbilly Jim in the first round. What are your thoughts on facing your friend?
Hulk Hogan: Well you know something Mean Gene, The Hulkster will stop at nothing to become the first WWF World Heavyweight champion. Now as far as facing my friend Hillbilly Jim in the first round - he knows it’s just business. He knows that I’ll still be his friend when it is all said and done. It’s time to hit the ring Mean Gene and get that WWF World Championship belt! See you in the ring Hillbilly Jim!

Hillbilly Jim just walks past the curtain after his match with Hulk Hogan. He is holding the side of his head from the big boot he received from Hulk Hogan. He sees the cameraman and begins to speak to him as the camera zooms on his face.
Hillbilly Jim: Hulk Hogan, you hit me with the big boot to get the win. You deserve nothing but the best. I still respect you and I am still your friend. Good luck in the rest of the tournament tonight. I hope you win. Now if you don’t mind, it’s time to hit the showers.
The scene then changes to Vince McMahon and Jesse Ventura sitting at the commentary table. The camera zooms in on them and Jesse Ventura begins to speak.
Jesse Ventura: Well, are you ready for our next match McMahon?
Vince McMahon: Let’s go to The Fink!

Mike Rotundo -versus- Junk Yard Dog
Result - Junk Yard Dog defeated Mike Rotundo with an Atomic Drop!

Junk Yard Dog walks to the backstage area and is stopped by a camera. He then begins to speak to everyone watching.
Junk Yard Dog: One down, three more to go. Hulk Hogan, I have you in the second round. You better not take the dog lightly because I am going to bring it to you. Hulk Hogan, prepare to be beaten, I am going to eliminate you from the tournament. That WWF Championship is coming home with the DOG!

Bret Hart -versus- The British Bulldog
Result – British Bulldog defeated Bret Hart with a Running Power Slam!

Result – Tito Santana defeated Paul Ordorff with a Flying Forearm!

Match Aftermath – After the match was over, Paul Ordorff piledrove Tito Santana on a steel chair three times. Tito Santana had to be stretchered out of the arena. Tito Santana's condition was not known and it was not known if he would be able to continue on in the tournament.

Result- Jim Neidhart defeated Dick Mordoch with a roll up to advance to the next round!

Result – Ricky Steamboat beat Big John Studd with a Flying Cross Body!

Result – Randy Savage defeated Adrian Adonis with an axe handle smash!

After the match, Adrian Adonis shoved Miss Elizabeth to the ground. Randy Savage chased after him but did not catch up to him. Randy Savage was really upset about Adrian Adonis putting his hands on Miss Elizabeth like that.
INTERMISSION
Before the start of the second round, Howard Finkle announced that Tito Santana was hurt and could not continue on in the tournament. He said that Bulldog recieved a bye into the next round!

Hulk Hogan -versus- Junk Yard Dog
Result – Hulk Hogan defeated Junk Yard Dog with an Atomic Leg Drop to advance to the next round.

Aftermath – After the match, Junk Yard Dog went to hit Hogan with his chain but Hogan stopped him and beat Dog with it, leaving him bloody.

Jim Niedhart -versus- Ricky the Dragon Steamboat
Result – Ricky Steamboat defeated Jim Neidhart with a vertical suplex to advance to the next round!

Aftermath – After the match Jim Niedhart went to drop a double axe handle from the apron to Ricky Steamboat but Steamboat caught him and gave him an atomic drop on the guard rail and a clothesline to follow it up. Once they both went to the backstage area, Jim Niedhart challenged him to a rematch next month!

Result – Randy Savage defeated Ken Patera with a belly to back suplex to advance!
